MAINLLama – Minecraft basic Redstone contraptions

Hey guys it’s me Rocky and today we are going to be playing some more Minecraft we’re gonna be doing some more Stone tutorials so uh yeah let’s get right into that so first off last time we went over all the basics this time we’re gonna be going

Over some basic Contraption stuff that I normally use because I think it’s just easy so I’m gonna teach you how to do um my favorite way of like using like buttons and levers and whatnot to open doors with pistons so we’re gonna do a couple things here so first off

Let’s just get some Stone to be our secret door and then right here is where we’re not gonna put any redstone on this block on these blocks and right here because this is where we want our secret entrance to be and we don’t want to be seeing all the Redstone

So what we’re gonna do so we’re gonna take these pistons and we’re gonna do them right here like as you can see there’s like a whole block between so we have room we’re going to do that on the other side now and look so next what you’re going to want to do

Is you’re going to want to play this and Bam now you have that there so now we’re gonna dig down on dig down too and we’re gonna curb it now we’re gonna come here gonna dig down again I’m just gonna dig over here a little bit to the side

Because it’ll make it easier never gonna go we’re gonna be watching and tracking how far we need to go I say two here up one now we’re gonna repeat that on the other side bam and that would go over now we’re gonna do that again down one down two place this and Bam

Bam bam boom boom now the Redstone will connect now we need to cover all this up so we’ll cover up right here right here and we’ll then make sure there’s some blocks right here now this is all the secret entrance now we need to get the doors to always be active so

We’re gonna come down here this is very important we’re gonna place a redstone torch right here it can be on either side just whichever side you’re going to put it on you’re gonna build the button so if I were to place it right here I put the button over there so we could

Have a shorter radius if I were to put the button right the redstone torch right there I’d put the button over there so we’re gonna do it right here since that’s just easier now what we’re gonna do is we need to bump this up one so that way we can go like this

And we can have it needs to be standing up from the ground then that way we can put something here and we can have like the button and this Redstone will connect to the button when we press it it turns off it for a second

So we are going to go ahead and do that so we’re going to dig out a little bit let’s dig out just I don’t know a couple blocks right here is the front so let’s put a stone button right here and that’s where the thing is gonna be so we’re in dig bam

And go like this I’m gonna curve it up bam now when we press the button see so the redstone torch makes it so it’s always on and you see how there’s no connection once I press this button there’s connection it opens and then closes so now we need to make sure

There’s a way to slow that time down because we have no chance I’m getting in with that fast of a Time so we’re gonna do that and we’re still going to test to make sure that it works no it doesn’t the reason for this is because it needs to be facing that so

What are we gonna do how are we gonna fix this we’re just gonna go like that right here we’re gonna place a repeater remember from the first one the first Redstone tutorial we place a repeater like this and we’re gonna slow down the thing as much as we can and we’re going

To come up here and we press the button it opens and then closes oh or another so you will so we’re gonna do pressure plate Connections in a second but that way you have enough time to go ahead and get through to your Secret Base Bam Bam Bam

And let’s say your secret bases you’re just hiding all your diamonds because you don’t want people to take your diamonds from you so you have your diamonds right here and this is where you go to grab your diamonds three I’ll just mind them and pick them up and

Then go use them this is your Secret Base now I’m stuck how do I get out well like we did with the first thing we’re gonna go ahead and place our butt in a little farther back you see how secret that is it’s because it’s a stone button on the stone

Now we’re gonna go back here and we’re gonna grab a Birch I don’t really like Birch but I mean it’s the first one I have we are going to go ahead and right here we need to figure out a way to connect that connection with what we just did so

We’re gonna go ahead bam oh no this thing is connecting to our whatever uh our uh Red’s uh the Redstone part we don’t want it to be connecting to so we are going to go ahead and dig down right here we place one here next what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna

Dig down again like this connect it through here now why am I going the opposite way this is why so that way we can come over here we need to get this over here so I’m going to place a block here oh no it connects so we can’t do that

We’re gonna connect it here and we have to go all the way around or that would like cut this thing off so we’re gonna go this way I would cut the Redstone connection off like this I wouldn’t have enough power I’ll come over here and we’re gonna also connect this there

We’re going to connect it to that now what we’re going to do is we’re going to place a repeater right about here and set it to full speed so it this is what the repeater mostly does when you click this button it’ll power the whole thing but since

This is facing this way the power can’t get through it and go and just connect to that Redstone button so that’s the good thing now about that so now we’re just gonna go ahead and cover all of this back up so we don’t want people knowing that we did this

But do it with the same block that you started now this is an important thing if I were to place this here it breaks the cut it breaks the circuit if I break it we’re good so what we’re gonna do here for that is we’re gonna go bam and

Bam we’re gonna go up and we’re just not gonna put anything there now we can go ahead and place this back bam we got our diamonds right here that we are trying to keep super secret and safe we are going to just build this out

And Bam now you have a little secret now first off we have to make sure that this works uh oh something’s wrong with it let’s go ahead and check what is wrong the button isn’t placed at the right spot so now we gotta fix that and let’s click it

Okay so now that we know it works we can use it but first off we gotta check if we can get out in time so we break it and we Sprint and we can get out so that means it’s a perfect Gore let’s check if this still

Works it does so that means we have completed the Secret Door it it’s kind of complicated but it’s kind of not it’s just the only reason why it’s complicated or why you think that is because there’s so much Redstone in the steps to do but this is like one

Of the basic things you can do to start learning it’s just like find ways to make secret Redstone doors I’m gonna also show you a rule with a little Redstone torture I were to place this here I can’t place redstone direct because then it’ll power it

I have to place it connecting to the block and if I give that redstone torch more power it’ll just burn out for a second until there’s um no more power that’s why people will do this let’s break out just a little section right here and let’s put the thing here

So we’ll put the redstone torch we’ll fly up put one a block above redstone torch turns off because the power from this redstone torch is carrying up through the block up to here so now we’re gonna Place Another block above it hook it up and this is on because

There’s no power to give it but as soon the moment I click this button right here it turns off that one turns on and it turns that one off so off on off on off on so this is what you can do to like make like a cool little like

Things where I could just go bam bam right well no I could go like that and then I can go ahead and grab a sign and let’s make sure that it pulls it back with it oh it just breaks the sign so we can’t do that so what if we just did

We just use this piston instead of using a sticky piston we just use piston piston for what I’m going to show you it’s really important that you use a normal piston now we’re gonna get some let’s say let’s do some red powdered concrete though now you can red powdered concrete is

Unlike other blocks if I were to place this like a normal block it would stay up powdered concrete falls down so if I place it here there’s something holding it up so I can place all this let’s see how far are we from the ground one two three four five blocks so we’re

Gonna go um four one two three four and we’re just gonna break all that now when we we’re gonna wrap this around so we can check it out and we’re also going to put a repeater on it not to make sure that we can still have the thing but make sure that all

The sand cuts down or powdered concrete boom and a cool thing you can do with that is if we break all this we could have put five so what if we put six on one two three four five six now this is what this is gonna do

And it like pushes it out the way and catches it so if we do that six makes it so we get three and one gets pushed out forward so we go one two three and let’s get let’s say red or orange really but then we get one two three Orange

Now let’s see what this does hope it catches it oh no how’d that happen we’re gonna check it again and see what made that work okay see well what if we just did this because I want to make this look really cool so what if we did red sand one two three

Red sand one two three we flip the order and let’s see what it does now we’re just trying to figure out right now how stuff works and what makes it different oh so it did the top one that time so what if we change the red sand from

Being at the bottom to being at the top now and then we put this one here oh and it just catches all of it but I see the problem what if we do this one two three four bam then we do one two three bam now let’s see oh and it works

So if we do four let it all just drop it I don’t push it but we’re too it’s too tall now to uh do it so that’s the second thing you can just practice with like trying to make cool little Contraptions like this like make with the redstone torch Tower you

Can have you can even have one at where you when you press the button it uh you can have one that um spences like an axolotl or something like a dispenser that dispenses the axle out like an axolotl that you want so if we just build this up thank you oh no

And then here we go ahead and we click it nothing happens oh there’s the axolotl but you got to be careful that you build um the perfect amount because otherwise it’ll destroy all your Redstone and Hardware so we’re gonna rebuild that and this and we need another redstone torch

Then we just go pop it right there and we can have a the thing dispense another Axolotl if we want it oh it just picked up daughter and there goes the water for the Axolotl so now you get in on auto uh Uh what did that Axolotl just do did anybody see that I think it just had a dance seeing the Axolotl dance I’m gonna real quickly stop him from coming out uh but yeah so uh pick up your water axolotl now you get what uh this is cool because you can use it to

Make like little like a water fountain for your dog and game and just like be like here’s your water and then pick it up when you’re done with it since they don’t actually drink the water but yeah that’s the cool thing with with the Redstone uh the Redstone Tower

And I think we can go over one more thing because this is getting as long as the last thing was the last video so what I want to talk about is how you can use slime and observers few things so slime sticky pistons and observers

Can do lots of cool stuff like so if I grab the crafting table or whatnot here we’re going to build up not with the crafting table with the slime I’m gonna build up and then we’re going to go uh bam bam and then do two out two slimes out

This is what we’re gonna it’s gonna be a really cool thing you make when you’re done now we’re gonna go we’re gonna do reverse Bam Bam and then do another two Suki Pistons now we got a flying machine and it’s not the most trustworthy version that you can make you can make a

Lot better versions but like see if we build this here we put some obsidian down is it Just Gonna Fly Away nope it’s oh I’m gonna go over there and build a little Tower and it stopped oh no and and there it goes and there it goes okay

But yeah so that’s that’s the flying machine so we can if we can get this to stop again come on just stop just stop I’ll see you back when I get this just never mind I was gonna say I’ll see you back when I get this stuff the fun thing

You can do this though is you can go ahead and you can put uh some slabs on it so you don’t fall off and then get onto the thing before I break it and it runs and it’s going crazy no so you can build slabs to say where to

Stand so you don’t fall off because you want to stand on the slime but yeah so that’s the flying machine chill out but yeah so that’s the flying machine um you’re lucky I have my Minecraft sounds off because if you heard all that sound it would uh be pretty annoying
