>> We’re here to show our newest game, Minecraft Earth. The Minecraft team has been passionate by mixed reality for quite some time, and we’ve been wanting to bring Minecraft to the real world for a long time. The challenge we needed to overcome was how to do that in A way that we can have holograms, mixed reality experiences that’s consistent for everybody in every place. Doing that at Earth scale is quite a high problem. >> This is where Azure spatial anchors comes in. With our service, players can share mixed reality experiences and place And persist them in exact spots in the real world. So if you’re looking for the park, GPS can get you there, but if you’re looking for the mushroom under the tree at the park, you’re going to need something a lot more precise than what GPS can do. >> With Minecraft Earth, We’re going to put real Minecraft experiences anchored right in the local neighborhood, so when you and your friends play, they get a chance to see what you’ve built exactly where you placed it. >> So for today, we’ve built something over there on the table. Let’s go check it out. >> Can I jump in and play as well? >> As a special treat, we’ve asked Satya to step in and be part of it. So we scan the table for a Azure Spatial Anchor and as Neena scans and Satya scans, they’re going to get the exact same experience that I am seeing. But this is a real living breathing Minecraft world right on your tabletop. Like it does anything you would expect in Minecraft. We can make a little waterfall. >> God, This is awesome. >> When I get close to the parrots, I can let them out by tapping on the glass. >> Let them all out. Come on, go guys. >> When I look over at Satya, I can see what he’s holding. I can see his gamer tag. We can build anything we want to. Put a little pillar in there, and then put a little avatar like that. That looks pretty much like you, Satya. >> Yeah, that is me. I tell you. It’s more hands- >> Saxs what do you think this will look like in full-size? >> Well, let’s try to put it on the floor. >> You’re going to make it bigger? Alright >> Sinking into the table, And then transform it out here. >> Oh, man, I’m in Minecraft. >> So this is like a real Minecraft full-scale. Like everything we just saw on the tabletop, but with our friends, Satya and Neena right inside of it. >> That is so cool. >> You look awesome in there. >> I know. This feels like home. >> With a common shared anchor, we were all able to just scan and jump into play; and with Azure Spatial Anchors, when we come back here tomorrow, the game will be exactly where we left it. >> That’s awesome. So let’s go. I see those chickens there. >> Do you want to let them out? >> Yeah. >> Let them out. >> They’re rushing at you. >> Can I feed them? >> I think you might have some seeds in your hand. >> I’ll let you do that. >> They like you the best. >> They’re enamored >> Saxs, I see a mine shaft over here, can we go explore that? >> Well, generally closed mine shafts are maybe not the friendliest places. >> No. >> All right. >> No, I think there’s diamonds. Let’s try. >> Diamonds? >> No, spiders. >> Satya, I’m going to defend you, don’t worry. >> Thank you, Saxs. >> I’m not going to let our CEO perish to spiders. >> You would have had someone very worried. >> That’s so awesome. >> Here we go. >> Oh, sorry. >> All right. >> I think we’re good. >> Are we on a clock here for The keynote or can I just continue to play? >> Well, why don’t we go to some Vegas team builds? We figured, Minecraft Earth, your imagination is your only limit. So we’ve rebuilt the famous Las Vegas sign hovering over the audience. You can see it perfectly up there. >> Why don’t we go to the Bellagio? Yeah? >> Yeah. Let’s see if we can find the magic button over here. >> Oh. >> Yeah. Bellagio, like complete with the fountain. [MUSIC] >> All right. We added fireworks just for the fun of it. >> All right. Thank you very much. >> That’s so awesome. Thank you, Saxs. Thank you, Neena. Thank you so much. Video Information
