Hello I’m a BX toy cat and welcome back to know video today and be doing another history off video and I’m going to be covering the population version of Minecraft so I know a lot of you do play the POC Edition version of Minecraft but Some of you don’t and those of you who have been playing it probably haven’t been playing the full four years it has been around so that’s what today’s videos for to let you know about the full history of the game and if you do like video please do like it and let me Know because it helps out the channel and lets know you do like it but let’s get straight into it shall we so let’s start by talking about exactly how the game came about because it was during Minecraft massive growth phase in 2011 you know just two years off the Game came out it was being a massive success and basically around the same time a Sony were trying to fix a phone called the Xperia Play so I still think this is such a cool idea but basically it’s an Android smartphone but instead of having a pullout keyboard it has a Pullout controller it can play playstation games and bla bla bla bla bla bla they wanted some big thing to promote it so they decided to make a Minecraft exclusively for this Xperia Play and at first it did seem like it was going to be exclusive to the Play Forever which is a really big deal to have minecraft you know the massive game minecraft exclusive on your plate advice and fortunately you know off the fact they did reveal it was just a timed exclusive but even wait for a little bit of time the only way you could play Minecraft was on the Xperia Play and just as a fun little bonus pack here that is the reason why you know Minecraft Pocket Edition can get controls port for a while perfect you know exclusivity contract with the Xperia Play was to do with the controller so yeah just a fun little Fact you might not have known so anyway yeah released in August of 2011 exclusively to the plate with version 9.1 it was a creative only game and had just 37 blocks but still being a play Minecraft on the goat was a really cool deal and I think it did sell a lot of Funds just people want to play minecraft however one month later they did announced that they were gonna release it to all Android phones because you know the Xperia Play did run Android it was as simple as literally just adding touch controls and then BOOM everyone could play in September of 2011 and then Just one month after that even they decided to release the game for iOS 2 meaning if you have an iPad and iPhone you can play it there too and since then of course it stayed updated for both of those platforms as well as many more however one thing I find kind of Interesting is after making this big launch of the game and then launching enough platforms they took quite a while to actually add the note point to update so you know they have this really basic version of the game that’s kind of just getting it out there having some There and then you know not point to the next update didn’t arrive until February of 2012 that’s almost a full six months off the game originally came out and that’s why a lot of people kind of abandoned the concept of us that’s kind of having me like oh they just didn’t Update and it’s just creates Burnley and it kind of becomes something you ignore because it’s a cool concept but it’s not a cool concept you can keep coming back to because like I said it’s creative only with 37 blocks there’s only so much you can do in a limited size mode of that However the no point to update did come out in February 2012 bringing survival with it and later on that year they did add for more updates bringing more and more things to make the game feel more and more like it’s you know actually something you can do and then later on With no point 5.0 they added their first exclusive feature because during this whole time they were of course upping the team size upping who was working on it and so on the first thing they added as an exclusive picture was they never reacted then every actors kind of an Alternative to the never because at the time they had a bunch of technical limitations about the never and infinite worlds and stuff so excited let’s have I never in the real world of the Nev reactor and to this day I still think it’s one of those really cool ideas you Know to work around to a technical limitation that really is quite cool and makes you be like oh I’m gonna go do that so yeah no point 5.0 brought that in November of 2012 and was the fourth update that year and yet during the next year you know color of updates came out But the big thing that happened that year was in December of 2013 just after no point 7.0 they announced the would actually happened is the Pocket Edition version of Minecraft had passed the PC version in terms of sales this was a pretty big deal because this was roughly The same time that the console version passed the PC version too and you know for the politician to also do that made the PC version from the primary biggest platform to kind of being the smallest platform of Minecraft even though it was the original one and it’s the one a lot Of people play the POC Edition you know it massively outstripped it by the end of 2013 with something like sixteen point five million cells to the PC versions thirteen and since then the difference has only gotten bigger and yeah I think it was a result of this That made them realize the POC edition needs to be a bigger focus and of course since then we’ve had more and more massive hires of really really cool pocket asian guys have been working on big features and yet 2014 was a massive year for Mojang as a whole of course Being bought by Microsoft but I think it was the biggest year possible for Minecraft Pocket Edition because it went from having you know 256 by 256 worlds as their max world size to have infinite worlds and that’s a really big deal for mobile devices because they Have to be running on you know really old Drita really slow devices they have to have a really small file size but they did manage to work out system that allowed them to have it which is a really really big deal you know that’s that it’s crazy that you know the POC Edition hasn’t well via the consoles do not and yeah that’s one of the big things they managed to do in 2014 also a big deal this year that was probably because of the Microsoft purchase of mojang is actually to do with the you know win minecraft Windows Phone 8.1 Coming out in the Windows Phone is a small percentage of the market they still decided to make a Windows Phone version which is a kind of cool that released in December of 2014 so with 2015 the current year we’re in I think this is the year of the Pocket Edition As far as what’s been done so far because already even though we’re just in October we’ve had three big updates so far this year no point ten naught point eleven and naught points well with the potential for naught point thirteen coming to because they’re already here – You know teasing features in it you know there’s stuff like redstone already been teased already been mostly done just massive massive features being worked on for Pocket Edition and if they do get four updates this year this is a massive number compared to the PCs precisely zero updates this year and the console Additions one maybe one and a half and potentially turn a half by the end the year updates you know book edition is just speeding ahead and really doing a really cool thing and also this year alongside all these updates they released the Windows 10 edition of the Game so that if you play on a PC you can play these mobile players and yet in terms of everything to do a Minecraft Pocket Edition it’s just growing bigger and bigger so those are growing massive there are servers now which are getting tens of thousands of players because There is service port in the petition you know there is you know more and more cells being made every single day and I think Minecraft Pocket Edition might eventually grow to be the future of Minecraft you know the PC version and the pokévision seem to have very distinct crowds playing them and yet There’s more people in the POC Edition and it’s growing in a faster rate and you know it’s gonna be crazy to see exactly how this develops in the future but that is the pocket ition the fastest growing craziest version the game that’s got a bunch of exclusives already Intends to have a bunch more and even intend to catch up with every single feature on the PC and on the consoles so yeah that’s the that’s the girl behind the petition that’s the history of the POC dition hope you did all enjoy the video if you did like it please do like It and let me know it helps out the channel and lets now you do like it share if you really liked it and subscribe if you’re new around here I make videos like this every single day my channel and if subscribe you’ll see them daily on your Home page so one last thing 1.0.0 is that number one thing I get asked about when it comes to the poke addition they’ve said that’s can probably be coming after no point 14-point us so early 2016 we might just see the end dragon in the park edition which is Gonna be absolutely crazy anyway yeah I hope you did all enjoyed that let me know it comes down below what you think of the petition and I’ll see you in the next video goodbye Video Information
