MINECRAFT – Arlcliff Castle: The Mages Guild Castle Tour! w/ LordDakr

Yes hey what is up guys Joel Boise and welcome back to another minecraft video so today guys I am standing right next to the man himself Lord Dhaka visiting his castle of power cliff yeah well it’s up so yeah it’s been a while we’ve got some exciting stuff to

Show everyone and so take away dude yeah it’s gonna take a while it’s gonna be a long video it’s gonna be a long tour it’s taking me a hell of a long time to do the interior on this especially so yeah it’s quite it’s quite good so the

Idea with this expelling the kind of history because then I’ll make another more sense this used to be like a old for that was used in some war blah blah blah blah blah and it got sold to the major skilled so the stone part of the

Actual Castle think of that as just like the fort layer and then what happened is when they bought it they built on top of it to build that kind of like wooden structure so all that kind of wooden stuff of all the white bits of it that’s

All kind of added after the fact to make it into more of a wizard beacon of castle but before that it was just a base for really so it’s been converted to to act as the majors guild for this entire kingdom and yeah it’s quite interesting looking I think it’s got

Like typical kind of wizard hat type tower roofs which are actually really fun to play around with really difficult as well but you know I totally recommend like playing around with your roof designs and trying to get them luckily I was able to copy and paste quite a few

Of these because they ended up being the same size but that was all quite nice good I love the stories like the the background story that you give when you make a build like this like you’ve got you’ve got a story you’ve got the backstory even to the actual you know

Broken bits of rubble so you’ve got a story behind that that’s something like this I do it it kind of though I find I always helps you build it helps if you think about like this area and you go it’s really defensible why the how a

Major is gonna be here and I think ours an old for and actually because it’s high in the mountains there’s not really much around so if you were a lord of this land yeah you’ve got the woods down there but there’s it’s not really close enough to

Anything so it’s not really a trade hub it’s not gotten up or anything like that so actually I was trying to fill it fill in the gaps by doing this whole like old fault thing it was bought by the mages guild and then it kind of works so that

Kind of helps I think create some rich law and yeah would be built if you let it influence you build then it helps as well so because they’re majors we’ve course got the idea being with this as well we’ve got I didn’t want to do like

Some Harry Potter type houses but I did want to have two distinct teams and so I went with red versus blue there’s just gonna it’s like the natural choice so there are two houses as such which is just red and blue or fire and ice ice and fire whichever one you want

And of course because red and blue makes purple that’s why we’ve got purple in the middle so the idea being that with the mages you might start in one of those houses but eventually you’ll become both and be joined and all that kind stuff so I was trying to do some

Symbology with colors I guess so the list is a some sort of fighting tournament II thing so we’d be casting spells at each other like Gandalf or whatever and I can also be a lot of people you know watching the idea with this was that the there was a tournament

On as well so there’s actually down in the valley some caravans so like some some gypsy like caravans where they’ve gone all the way I don’t know if it’s worth to see and those are not actually I don’t think the interiors are done although that’s not look at

Those it’s just like if it makes just stuff so that was I I cannot take credit for them I panicked minecraft and I saw it and I went and it just changed the colors of those and they’re gonna work perfectly so honest and there’s also no doesn’t it

I mean they look like little little hooded hooded mages it’s great oh it’s absolutely fantastic so yeah all I do is just stole it and tweak the colors got love all right really so what we’ll do is we’ll get the castle layer because it’s such a big thing but

We will go and have a look at a couple of the extra buildings around so things like as we are here to the groundskeepers Hut so heavily influenced by my Harry Potter by Hagrid’s house that whole kind of like small round thing but I wanted to make it a little

Bit more wooden it’s a less stone on it but go for a similar kind of reef really pointed so yeah but and it’s also not got two circles how capitis house – you got two circles or in the hexans interior-wise it’s doing interiors with like circular stuff is really weird

You just end up kind of like cramming everything in these different places yeah you’re just gonna make a maze of just weird stuff so we got kind of traditional big bed get old wardrobe type stuff you know really kind of basic interiors but kind of works and then the

Spare bedroom as well which is all you really need is some somewhere to cook some food it’s got a loaf of bread as well I love these player heads absolutely love playing heads got back into business this movie ever since they put up yeah fire and smoke just sets up

Everything what is such a good block the particle effects are just fantastic absolutely fantastic absolutely love them so yeah it’s nice a nice little simple house I just I just thought it needed something around here because always does just like this blank blank land really so if we got the hill

Greenhouse I decided to build it on an angle purely because it looked cool and it’s different yeah I think it needed it as well from the light shape of everything so it’s just a small little greenhouse so if they’ve got like herbology type classes or whatever then

They can at least you know and I’ve got wonder in this nice greenhouse I like anyway it’s quite quite chilled lots of plants everywhere that fits really well on the cool hmm doesn’t it just look skate boots yeah I love love angled stuff weird rock thing yeah I love only

A hinge I’m sorry a hinge but yeah just weird rock things honestly I wanted to fill the the ground up and this just kind of worked weird rock things do it yeah then what we’ve got is actually if we fly up here because it endowed to

Walk around it have a small Tower this is actually the Rookery so it’ll make more sense when we go in but we obviously don’t have like Ravens or anything that like in Minecraft we need them but we did have parents and we’ve got bats so we got some powers and some bats

In here he’ll do where’s the bats gone that’s a gum para bat yeah so there is literally that’s all there is in here the idea being that you know they’d write some letters and send off the parrots that’s pretty much it really not too much on that simple

Little tower just meant that at least we have that separate so they yeah got to go onto the balcony kick him out and also it fly I’ll still mainly like Meister type stuff as well with these majors very games of Thrones game of frenzy but you know works I’m just not

Sure I’m just not sure it’s good and then that path literally just goes down to the gate which goes down into another valley and that valley goes on to more builds and it just keeps on going on pretty much this entire world is just expanding constantly so we’ve started to join up a

Lot of the builds this one goes down into another kind of dwarf world another dwarven area and then from there also goes into a little town so it’s all all explained in which we’ll have you have you back for another tour of those one they’re all all totally done now is this

The same map is that the last yeah it is indeed yes and this is actually just up the valley from it so there is actually a road that joins the two actually is technically two roads cuz that road there that goes through that valley goes a long way around the kinda like

Mountains to get there yeah the main the main road that we started on that actually joins all the way up if with the with the other town it’s a bit cool so now we get to go on to the cool bit which is the interior of the majors goes

You might want a lantern or something there you go that’s free that down just cuz it some bits are a bit dark it’s not that bad it’s just with shaders you know it’s like so yeah so again going on on the whole fort thing it’s got a small

Hall so not as good as not as big as the clipped off one but you know a nice sort of small win one lots of the banners around the different houses and the arc mage will sit down and just be like yeah ashes I have got a name for the dude I

Can’t remember it is but it’s a it’s up on the walls somewhere yeah around I was like who would play with only where’s the science yes it’s upstairs in the last last night–but I can’t know what his name is but he’s got a cool name he’s Alvin he’s an Alvin fire from I

Think it’s his name can’t remember I’m a small storeroom just filled with possible stuff got a lot of stuff awesome I like the room oh yeah that I’ve done all the way all the way along to make it look like it is properly supported and it also

Just happens to be able to allow me to hang lanterns off so it’s nice dual purpose type things now you probably want a battering break so feel free to use them pretty yeah that just hangs off the wall and will drop into those nice ponds over there so you know it’s go

Free at least they can wash the hand series or I mean that’s one thing yeah at least they can wash then so is good boys these books to be pretty em well oh you’ll be will be like soap and Denny Hamlin and sanitizers now well no you

Can get soap you can make it out of animal fat so it’s always good that’s always quite good it’s always fun really weird apparently you can also use like ash as well and mix that with water and Used in beauty thanks crazy so this than just a little library that we’ve got there goes into the feast hall so this is I decided to drop it to try and make it feel a bit bigger that’s why I’ve got a couple a couple kind of tables give

Him down and padlocked tables a couple of stairs going down so you know students would just sit here and eat cake and have beer or whatever and the like kind of stuff we’ve got over on this side very very small kitchen I I cannot imagine how bad

The food would be from mages I mean yeah I just imagine it’d be like really horrible brown soup you know that kind of stuff yeah don’t really know what it is probably some mushrooms in it you know that kind of thing small you know teachers table type thing I didn’t have

Loads of rooms this mate you know it is quite small but you got your beer there I’m sure you’re happier like I do you know yeah yep so again trying to do the red versus blue we’ve got red on one side and blue on the other you see that

Quite a lot through through all of all the actual place this kind door over here just goes up to the top floor I’m not retail all the top area of this who is this like Google Storage is yeah it’s just a one of you in medieval buildings

If you ever have anything where you don’t know what to do with it storage stuff it was always perfect we’ll go back down there as well a bit oh yeah they just just stuff like just imagine being messy so this at least goes onto that top section which is just I was

Gonna do something here and I was trying to base it but I’ve decided just to leave it as a nice open space because it just kind of works about but I do quite like the well I love the the little trapdoor kind of thing to stop raining getting him looks nice and cobbled

Together lots of planks or like that stuff yes just yes I kept the old for stuff so they didn’t they didn’t add anything I didn’t change anything so this would have been like all from the olden days I’ve just really maintained it right let’s go back down downstairs

You know down the weird just jump on the side there yeah I’ll do right so first classroom or first class you’re going to be doing today is stand at stamps and staff and to the wand workshop so as a mage you need to come in you need to make yourself either a wonder of staff you working a staff guy or you a little wand

Guy yeah yeah come and see him there oh yeah nice the compensator oh give me the biggest bit of wood you got Yeah right so yeah idea being is that I was thinking I was trying to think of things that we could do with like the different blocks that we’ve got there’s some

Creative things so in this case yeah you’ve got the button which has been turned into a wand so kind of like shaving it down or or waddling it down this is probably yours right here well you just got this big hunk of wood I’ll

Do so yeah we got a couple of those but you know simple little classes over on the other side we’ve got the potions laboratory so this is where you know you sneak like character it’d be snap just chilling out and yeah mix it stuff I love the tower works these are like one

Of the best blocks for alchemy they just look quite cool and because it’s not in sand they don’t grow either so you can actually use them in interiors okay yeah oh why it’s not good so a nice little simple little bits of potions around so if we go through the

Library again you’re up through here we all make it into you then other side so this is where we start going up the building so in here we’ve got the oh yeah so the other thing is that we’ve got journeyman and apprentice and all that kind of stuff at different classes

So this is journeyman be or like middling middling kind of grade so this is their private common room so only once you’ve actually proved yourself as a young mage you can then get into here and just chill and this is the blue or the a storm is kind of one so they’ve

Got a fire and again with like the medic medieval stuff thank thanks mostly to do with the smoke particles you can actually just use the same fire on either side you don’t really notice that much so nice simple I know I know it’s great it just saves them saves any space

A little bit so I feel like that house yeah it’s a stir the commons room for the journeyman I can like ice factional ice Gilda and I whatever you want to call it maybe who knows so next floor we have directly above it is the fire journeyman

Commons you know very similar not really too much to say about it but again it’s got a nice little fireplace in that fireplace most of these fireplaces shall I say do you make it all the way to the roof in this one I couldn’t do the same

As I did we’ve clipped off where all of them did but generally they make their way up quite nicely so there we go that’s going to hear most view from here as well yeah no I like the windows it’s obviously medieval times they wouldn’t have when of necessarily had glass

Windows there might have done in the higher kind of floors but you know there try and make it as defensive as possible and you don’t want a big hole where somebody can you know smash through per group up and climb through but again because it’s been converted they’ve put

Glass in because it’s fancier so we head out like over here this is just something to make it look more interesting on the front of it so I just had to tie it up with them interior this is really precise gotta be yeah yeah the smoking look like cumin smoked various

Commodity a proper way oh yeah pretty much anything they can get our hands on so if we go around this way this is the one I was saying about that this one doesn’t go all the way to the top chimney wise so I had to make it so that

I didn’t want to use a block going all what happened I couldn’t have box around it because nobody can walk around it but they say yeah there we’ve got another classroom over here so you next thing you’re gonna learn about is history and politics so really important because the

In this world at least I know it’s just standing out here and I saw that guy standing down on the picture down the end of way I think he looks like Nick Fury Troy distance it’s got that kind of statue to him that’s what that’s just

Why see anyway but um yeah history and politics really important for majors cuz they’re gonna be advising you know King so you’d have like a court court mage so you can imagine them being like the advisor so they’ve got to know all the history and politics and like I stuff to

Be able to advise properly boring though so because of that you might you know need a break and you probably do need a break in a minute as well so just in this on the back here that’s your next err next stop off really Yeah exactly yeah yeah let it let it drop again drops off the castle like most of these things say yeah I like the blackboard as well yeah I had to I can traverse behind that I think it might be the fireplace I tried to I

Spent quite a lot of time trying to get stuff to line up it was a bit of a pain actually but that’s I’m sure that’s what most of metal interiors are if you got like a small space you just have to kind of fudge things in yes I’ll do that

Well it’s worked in this is for the end quite world all right restoration and healing so after all of that you’re gonna need some healing this one was I was really struggling I’m gonna be honest I was so struggling to do you know what do you actually do to show

Restoration and healing let’s think in our plants we’ve got dead shrubs so you can have a dead shrub and you can have it then turning into like a fern and then eventually I’ll get into like a little tree thing so they worked important most and Malcolm yeah to do it

Like you’re trying to heal up your your tree using magic and apparently most of them are failed but yeah simple at all ideas until I started off with the wand workshop I loved the potions stuff I loved but I started to drop off ideas and divination crystal ball stuff I know

There’s taken straight out of Harry Potter totally you know but I was thinking well there could be you know I think that’s called scraping when they when they look at a ball and see stuff in the future but I was the idea of this one it’s not a class so far you didn’t

Pretty good on all these classes you’re learning a lot mm-hmm gobby bit of a chill-out area which then leads onto the the outside area that we’ve got as well so that was that kind of linked up so you can just can I wander out I’m some fresh air this is

Just a quiet study area there’s not the library because we’re probably gonna have quite a few majors in here so let’s get I will make our way to the next floor it’s cool yeah it’s a different feel to clipped off it’s like let I tried to

Make it a little bit more my aren’t magicky school I’ve been repurposed such I never miss us logs yeah yeah there’s only one tower there’s only one staircase going up unfortunately which makes it a little bit difficult to get out so yeah this floor this has got the

Ice dormitory so if we go in here this is where everybody can be so all of the all the connect levels of whatever they are and then we’ve got just the bunk beds in in this section lots of bunk beds really kind of basic and with it just like a little shelf

Each and a couple at work outside areas as well it can kind of like walk around and again smoke breaks as he said this is just one of these balconies that actually come away from the actual good so yeah so these are called hoardings and i so the idea would be that they

Would actually build these over the castle walls or extend outwards and actually when you see towers that go bigger at the top that’s actually the same idea that you can then shoot downwards from it so if somebody got right up to the wall well you can see

There you can just shoot down or drop down no that’s like they’re called hoardings but in this case probably they’re using them to smoke i’d expect something like this in this case this one’s just a simple balcony beds you can see there’s a chamber pot there but they

Would already throw off the side just Petunia everything well they would not too bad with always more than once yeah well you know it’s magic in it so here we have the spell casting in Belgium though trying to make a little hole above the main hall this one just that

Goes all the way to the roof the idea being here we’d be casting spells each other jar jar and try to deflect them and and create shields and all that kind of stuff that you can imagine them doing so I want to do can like use the carpets to

Make a swirling kind of pan of power and magic and all that kind of jazz so that’s kind of wait like what’s going on with that isn’t too bad then if we go over here we got to the fire drama tree which is just another ally back so I

Won’t the signs is the moon hi hey Lucien as well but to date most spell casting and battle magic but yet orange spells ice yeah I know yeah I love that we can color those now this one is Kimberly towers a little bit more um more cramped

Quite and it’s just the size of it there’s only got one balcony as well so unfortunately for them but as long as they’ve got a place to smoke and you know drop one off it’s fine so there we go that’s a nice little thing but because they’ve got such a small kind of

Dorm they’ve got a bigger area for their common room so nice and chilled nice big nice big fire be quite warm if you all you know complaining about all the all blues all the time maybe like there’s ice those ice no beds God you know you’d be complaining about

The time I reckon in here we actually have the kind of medical ward or medical wing as such so a couple simple little medical areas so if you did you know somebody’s thrown a spell at you too much and it’s broken your arm or whatever and they can’t hear you you

Know you’re gonna be resting up in here it’s only between that little section had nothing to do with obviously me just running out of ideas You got just fill stuff with stuff right next floor ya know might as well go all the way to the top is where nearly any done the top one here the idea being that when you’re a master mage you can go out into the main world but sometimes

You might want to come back to the guild so that’s where we’ve got all the purples so these are all just spare beds for for master mage wanting to come they can just come and bunk up in the top tower so that was my idea I needed some

Place to put some of those beds that’s that’s kind of what you get so if you come on down likely than that as well for my color coordination my advice and a purpley type stuff to be that kind of bit both yeah yeah full-blown mage so now we’re in the teachers quarters so

They’ve obviously got some pretty fancy quarters this would also be for the master mages which are like those ones that could be staying so yeah it’s kind of got a quite a big area for the common room quite cool as well tried useless and coral was some weird

Ass rock thing and I quite like it they read me oh yeah and form all this fire problem imagine being like a big weirded weird big bearded we though even so we’ll go into that Archmage thing last I think so they’ve got their own kitchen

Cuz why not make it you can tell that this the halls are going around that that it kind of bowed um type thing that we’ve got going on after I built it I was like how the hell am I gonna join the list up Bay it kind of works so this

Is another another common rooms they can just be chilling out relaxing oh yeah this – yet so they’ve got their own another area to chill I don’t know if you recognize that book I mean actually actually don’t say what if you recognize it or not people in the

Comments have to say what that is and what it’s from so that people will recognize it I’ll tell them if they’re right when they when they come on it or if they’re not right guess you don’t recognize it no yeah there’s a little competition because it means that you know that

Have a nice green bed try and get some green stuff in it but also all of their rooms you’ll probably notice I’ve got things like obviously potions master has got some potions he also for some reason a house that happens to have a balcony I don’t know how he got that but maybe

That’s just what it’s got you know it’s how it works I like the little bits of detail that you put in as you said when you got there no stuff over here and yeah I’ve tried to do that with all of them as you’ll see when we go through so

I tried to link them back it’s one of the reasons I put the signs up because I was trying to force myself to do it don’t you just get generic kind of builds so for divination we’ve got Catherine locks and I was like our locks unlock potential unlock your mind

Exception so I was trying to go with that so gone for yellow yeah and of course this one they just got a load of crystal balls not not too much you can do without the player heads you just not be able to do any of this at all but

Yeah nice little simple cause see that this deep mystic Meg’s great-great-great-great-great yeah it’s not clear right thanks floor got these staircases we’ve got Thomas Knotts to tease so he’s the woodworking bloke I think this one’s quite easy to tell these a woodworker no sore in it and a

Bench in him armorstands using that as a kinda like wood type things he’s got a bundle of sticks so you like your little things like that all right cool next keep on going up we gotta keep going up make up so I’ve got Nina Nina Ravens as the battle mage so the person

I’ll teach you all you get real battling magic you cool spells there’s big need this room a bit loose you can actually move around yeah I thought you know battle mage is probably quite a prominent position I don’t know about you but I would like my if I had a

Court major I want them to like really whip up some cool badass magic we you know you know the machine no no exactly yeah we’re not going to say hey you never said that’s not gonna happen divination or you see the future that you and a bull the bow made you be like

Okay yeah that’s give him a bigger room so they’ve got a nice big room lots of stuff that wasn’t really too much I could do with a battle mage the only thing I could really think of was this skeleton that’s good dude you just beat up and and tried to do a

Wand type thing and maybe some some artifacts as well so there’s that kind of thing to try and make it look and it works it’s kind of got it yes let’s see bad again it was that can I orange you read as well for that I color so nice

And simple but that’s those those ones let’s go all the way down now such a tiny staircase like fitted in it’s much so good there we go so if we now go back through right here got two left so we’ve got awesome Myrtle who’s that restoration lady apparently the pillows

Melted so again that kind of green color so one with that and yeah there wasn’t really too much to do for restaurants Mulligan wasn’t really too much I could do for restoration so I was just like plan books that I do yeah they were potion or two but it’s got pretty good

Room actually I would say nice and chilled right so Archmage Elvis fire from so he’s actually got two floors as you know Archmage it’s got two floors so he’s got his own area for his private herb gun know he can you know he’s – yep so you know you’d have all manner of

Herbs around here that you can smoke or not smoke you know with the mushroom the mushrooms well yeah all that stuff and this we didn’t exactly know what did I just walk into a cloud of smoke somewhere somewhere possibly yeah so yeah nice simple never got into his main quarters

He has got nice big ass bed really big bed Wow so I tried to go of like a really big four-poster bed and lots of colorin and kind of can have that can like read going into the purple he type of color trying to mix it around a bit

So it’s got what’s more parking blues most of it but yeah nice big bed well I like this room this is your this is your room isn’t you’ve got your own private meet as well there so you can just sit down on the sofa and just pour

Yourself a cold one oh yeah they got do it oh and he’s also got bird as you probably noticed from the tweaking tweeting I thought you know I’d be quite cool if Dumbledore has a has a Phoenix well we’ve only got really got a parrot so he’ll have a parent did think about

Him having a bunny or something like that you know something a bit funny but not too I like this room this was my yeah it’s nice innit it’s my favourite as well yeah I like it totally I did try to do I did attempt to do a 45 degree wardrobe

That’s what this thing is it’s you know I think it looks a little bit funky that one doesn’t have it kind of works yeah yeah yeah so you know kind of works oh yeah in the end of dragons I forgot about the end of dragon snake on the

Sides of those I totally forgot about it yeah it’s nice and simple I say so I suppose wait quite elegant quite big I definitely might be room yeah most of space and it’s better with them everything they just got your belt I hope I’ll do let’s go get bail on your bird

You got your stash downstairs Nicely simple really no I’m just heading down downstairs and then we can head out anything is the birds just makes so much noise it’s weird so now the good thing is at least cuz we only got one staircase you can just head it all the way down stairs you

Eventually come out at the bottom and then you all it’s like a water slide yeah dry splinters there we go so from the outside and kind of kind of see how it all joins up I think one thing you probably didn’t notice is this is actually an angle so the the

Roof and stuff especially because what I decided to do with this is rather than rather than kind of try and make everything line up I wanted it to line up between the towers snow on the front part of it actually on the front and sides and wait

Where are you oh yeah anyway yeah cool so yeah on the on each of these sides found here I wanted the apex to meet perfectly between each other towers and so I did that on each of each of them really as much as I could anyway this one’s a

Little bit bit rubbish but kind of worked especially the front and the back both has that where it kind of lines up perfectly in between those towers but because of that they actually turned out that was one block off and I didn’t realize until I had lined up the lined

Up the roof I was like oh it’s all angled so yeah hey the judging from this up that’s not view actually cool doesn’t it’s got that kind of like twist to it it’s just slightly off and because I I think it makes it look more interesting so you don’t really notice until you

Actually like it gets pointing out I find anyway but yeah it’s not too bad I think it’s quite good really cool I like it I’ve actually enjoyed out of most of the castles well we’ve done two castles on this place so far but I think I like this one more

It’s difficult to say because it’s a different type and it’s got a very different feel to it to the one that we reviewed earlier and if you guys that haven’t seen that already I will link it in the description and also an intro card as well probably so that you guys
