Minecraft – Can you beat my time? – Glide Mini-game – Shrunk

Hello this is stampy and welcome to a minecraft let’s play video today i’m doing another part on the can you beat my time challenge and today we are playing shrunk and let me tell you shrunk is quite the map in the glide mini game so if you saw

The last episode i did of this it was on the body map and you may remember me saying oh it’s actually quite an easy map this one because there’s not many crazy shortcuts you need to do you kind of just followed the course and it’s simple simple simple simple simple

Shrunk is literally the opposite of that it’s basically i mean this map is crazy like it’s ridiculous there’s so many different routes that you can go and to get a really fast route there’s so many weird shortcuts look at this right at the beginning you need to go like this

And then you’ve got to go yeah like that i’m going to try and get through the blue hole and it’s so tiny and so difficult but if you want to get a really good time you got to do it you got to take these crazy crazy crazy

Routes which means this is gonna be probably the most difficult glide map i have done i have a route and i actually have a shout out to to give this time because normally what i do right on these courses is i look at a bunch of

Videos online and then i look at a bunch of different people’s routes that they’ve done and kind of merge them together and see what i can do this one is only based on one person and they’re called bazinga 2 3 1 9. so big uh shout out to bazinga 2319 because basically

The route i’m going to be going to to do this course is going to be the route that they created they do it much better than me they they know how to do it in fact i’ll leave a link down in the description to the video where they’re

Doing it better than me i can’t do it the way that they do but they kind of worked out a really amazing way to get through the level which i have stolen i’m admitting to that and that is what i’m going to be using for this uh this video so you’ve kind of

Seen the the route here that i’m roughly going to be able to to go of course i’ve crashed a bunch of time so i’m not going to be sending a good time here at all but i thought i’d have one run through just kind of showing you what i’m

Attempting to do and then i need to see if i can do it all in a row just as a word of warning i haven’t been able to do that yet i have been practicing the the map for a while and i haven’t been able to complete the map properly once

Not in the route that i wanted to go i can make my way from the beginning to the end without crashing but not with all of the crazy shortcuts like each individual shortcut i can probably pull off more often than i don’t it’s just getting every single one of them in a

Row and not messing up that is where the the huge challenge comes in and what i have so far been able to to fail so what i think the big goal here isn’t going to be set a time and keep trying to get the time better and better and better and

Better i think what the the idea here is going to be is just complete the map going this route because it was this is my personal best and it was 2 13. two i’m going to write it down let’s forget 213 ignore that i crashed it was rubbish

Even when i didn’t crash i was still going slow so ignore 213 let’s go and do this properly then so 100 concentration and i’m going to kind of talk through exactly what i’m doing a little bit more than the last episodes because it is tricky the first thing that i did is i

Actually put my sensitivity up i normally play at 120 or i think 125 on playstation i kind of have it slightly higher on playstation i put it up to 140 just so i can make uh some of the the sharp turns a little bit easier and that’s probably something you should i

Should have done on some of the other maps but i didn’t really think about but there’s a few places in particular and i’ll point them out when we get to them where having the faster sensitivity makes it way way way easier and that that little i don’t know is that like a

Mouse hole or something that little hole in the the door it’s such a mean shortcut because it’s such a weird angle that you approach it from and you have to go so low down to the ground and then immediately go right back up i found the

Best way to do is to go really far to the right here and kind of face it head-on like that and i almost made it there but that seemed to be the the most reliable way for me to be able to do it but it’s tricky it’s just going to take

A lot of practice i’m sure when you go to do it if you haven’t done it yourself you’re going to fail a lot trying to to get through there just like i am now but eventually you’ll be able to make it it’s much easier when you go slow the

Problem is when you’re doing a time attack you don’t want to go slow you want to to go fast so that’s the the thing that makes it harder then this bit’s a bit tricky as well you want to go straight up and to the left and you

Can kind of go over this i don’t know what that is a teddy bear or something and then this is where you want the high sensitivity because you want to whiz around like that i’m going to do a full 180 and so you’re basically going back in the opposite direction it was a

Really slow recovery to get onto that boost but i was able to make it then it’s kind of the same thing here but this time you just want to go to the right and through that little gap there no no that one is tricky as well both of

Those sections where you kind of drop down suddenly are really really tricky but that’s where you really want the high sensitivity you kind of want to go into a nose dive and then pull it up and make your way through like that but anyway i should reset i should reset

Because i crashed and that is not going to be a good time as i said all i’m trying to do forget cutting corners forget optimizing my speed and the boost and all of those little tiny things that you need to do and to improve your time forget all of

That i just want to get one run down to the end doing this course and i think that’s going to be a good enough time to be able to to beat a lot of people maybe get hyped on the leaderboard and of course to set a very difficult challenge

For all of you to try and complete when you come to to do this map you’re yourself so right then so here i want to do a sharp corner to the left uh i did this kind of slow last time so i don’t really mind resetting here and then this

Is the the big important section if i fail this then i’m going to go all the way back to the beginning that was good that’s good i was able to keep my speed up pretty well as well this part here can be pretty tricky you need to look up

Quite steep and to the left and it’s quite easy to do but to keep your speed is quite difficult then this is probably the hardest part in the entire course and there we go i did bang i did lose one of my hearts but i made it through

Relatively quick and that was a much faster recovery getting on to the speed boost now this is where i messed up big time last go and that was much better but no no there’s so many little tiny tricky sections so that was almost perfect i

Just got a bit too excited and went too high on the next part and banged into the the roof apart from that that was a pretty decent run i was uh pretty quick through that part section was a little bit messy a little bit wonky but overall

Not too bad i’ve got a good line to to go into the mouse to little hole no no i thought i thought i made it through then i was looking up i thought it was going to go up but i must have been still dropping down i thought that was

Perfect then i was about to just start panning myself in the back and then i crashed into the the ground so you can see why i haven’t had as much fun in this map as some of the other ones like for the people that are really good then

I think they’ll enjoy it and even the casual players that aren’t trying to get a really fast time but just you know flying around it’s cool it’s cool flying around in a giant bedroom and just through this entire house like it’s cool to see the scenery

But it doesn’t half make me rage it doesn’t make me rage this is gonna turn into a rage video i know i know i’m not even sure if i’m gonna get one complete decent run without me crashing the entire way through it’s that difficult what is it we’ve shrunken me because

Trunk is my least favorite out of the the battle maps as well and now it’s turned out to be my least favorite of the the glide maps i always love the concept i always love the idea of you being a tiny person going around a few house that is just such a cool

Thing for for me but something about the maps it just drives me crazy but right then i need to i need to focus though let’s not rage about the the map the map is fine i am the problem here the map is just existing i am the one who’s putting

Myself trying to to go this ridiculous route through it so let’s go for the shortcut i thought i made oh i did make it let’s okay i was going to keep going when i crashed into that there that was going to be a slow start but as long as

I make it through that shortcut i’m probably going to carry on no matter what i actually wasn’t having as much trouble on this shortcut before i started it’s those parts where you kind of drop down through those events they were the parts that i had been really struggling with

Before starting to to record but now for some reason i’m really struggling like i generally do i don’t know i feel like i do a little bit worse when i first start recording because i’m i’m used to having full concentration on just playing and now i’m suddenly having to talk at the

Same time and think about everything else but you know generally i get the the added motivation maybe it’s just a rush of adrenaline to help me play better when i’m recording and that hasn’t kicked in yet but maybe it will it’s just such like a tricky precise map

There’s so many little bits that aren’t like obviously difficult but are just a little bit tricky and it’s especially these little drop down so if i get down past this one i am going to be very happy don’t go too high now there we go that was perfect and this one you can

Kind of look down and it boosts you up quite here and then this is another really difficult shortcut yeah there’s a lot of these you want to loop back around yourself there and it’s very difficult to not hit the floor because you kind of lose all of your momentum

And you end up going really low down so that part can be tricky no no that’s not even a tricky part that’s not even a tricky part so i’m still going i’m going to keep this run to the end if i can make it i did lose a lot of time so i’m

Not going to get a great time but if i still do make it to the end this could be an okay time it’s just kind of killed all of my mentum so my momentum so i went really slow through all of that section but this is definitely better

Than that first time that i got so let’s keep this going we’re pretty close to the end so here i go quite high and then if i go high enough i can go pretty steep down here to to build up this speed and you want to avoid all of the

Boost or anything you just want to get your speed up then you want to go up a little bit into the the right here go past the piano once again this is the route that bazinga made up not me and then you go around the the corner

Here like that and then if you can you want to go the the higher route if you’re not high enough don’t worry just go the lower route uh but you generally want to try and go the high route than hip just boost yourself up really high

And then i think it’s much quicker going to the the left rather than the right in that section and this is pretty much the the end of the the map now it’s just one straight trail down through the trees to the tiny little house at the the end

Here and then there we go new personal best and it is 201.899 not too bad obviously i had that one awful section but i was able to make it all the way to the end without a total wipeout and that’s 59 in the world so i

Think i could do better than that 59 in the world isn’t too shabby but i definitely know i can do better and set a a different a better time for for you to try and beat so let’s go straight in then let’s go straight back in and have

Another go and see if i can beat the time i’ll probably have one or two more runs like this and then i’ll take it online and then that’s when the the pressure is really on because no restarting when you’re doing online if you mess up then you have to commit to

It which means all of those little shortcuts are just that bit more dangerous so i’m not going to go crazy i’m not going to go stupidly fast or stupidly close to the ground or anything i’m going to play a little bit safer because if i do

Basically the same as i did last time but without that one big mistake then that’s going to be i don’t know i think that might be a good two seconds or so off that time so that’s gonna be my target here this was a really fast start that was that was amazingly good

There and this uh this whole section here has been pretty speedy so it’s a nice start this is where it all counts though can i make it down there i banged them that did slow me down a bit i did lose some momentum and that wasn’t the

Quickest but i still think overall at this section here i am faster than i was last time which is good that was scary but i somehow made it through and you want to look down quite steep onto that bit there and then you want to be very

Close to this wall on the right to to cut the corner this is the other tricky shortcut you don’t want to bang into the floor skip past the the mouse and overall this is good no this is where i messed up last time so i don’t want to

Go too high there that’s what happened you want to look down like that otherwise you can bang straight into the ceiling like i did last time but overall this is going okay here you can kind of look down a bit as well because it boosts you really high and it can

Actually be difficult getting into that vent there if you’re ending up too high so this has been a really nice run overall so far there’s obviously been a a few parts that i could have done better but all in all this has been a pretty good run and i think if i’m able

To to not mess this up you have no idea how nervous i am right now doing this if i’m able to not mess this up i think this will be a much better time than the the last go so let’s try and do this last bit a little bit speedier i didn’t

Do very well here last time so let’s go uh up to the the top section this is perfect plenty of height here so i can go down low to build up some speed and then i want to boost up high here like that and uh can i make it straight out

Or sometimes you can go up high enough that you can go straight out here without needing to use that boost sadly that wasn’t one of those times but this uh this definitely looks to be better than last time so now you just want to

Go down as low as you can to build up some speed and look at that 157 one five seven point seven nine eight that’s an amazing time oh i’m so proud of that i am so happy i was able to have my first proper runs through to the end and

I was able to to capture it on videos and uh what oh it still says rank 59 is it not is it not updated yet okay i’ll check again in a second maybe it just hadn’t updated you i did get a little bit excited and look straight away yeah

It’s still saying the uh the old time one therefore for some reason i saw it though 157.798 so what i’m going to do now is i’m going to go online and face some other people and see if i can improve the time even further okay i am now in a

Lobby we have a few people that have just started to join so far no one has voted which is uh good for me because it means that hopefully we are actually going to be able to to play shrunk so fingers crossed in the next few seconds

No one votes and yeah we can have a go to see if we can beat our time by the way the leaderboards have updated and i’m happy to announce that my time that i set just a second ago over one minute 57.798 is a number 12. so that’s the the 12th

Best time that there’s been on the uh the playstation 4 edition of minecraft anyway so that’s pretty cool that’s pretty exciting considering i pretty much only started playing the the map tour today i am rather proud of that and it’s pretty much what i said it was basically

It doesn’t matter about doing it really really well all i needed to do was have one time going from the beginning to the end without crashing and i did lose one huh i did bang into the the wall somewhere so it was hardly a perfect run

I’m pretty sure that i am not capable of a perfect ride on this map but still it was a pretty nice run overall and i am glad that i was able to to do that in the episode but let’s stop once again patting myself on the the back we have

To look forward because it was a good run but i know that i can do better and this is the the time to shine there’s other people in the game and no no no no no dodge through the side there like even if i don’t set a world record

Breaking time i at least want to win this game here but i don’t know if i will if i’m having performances like that so let’s take this first go as a bit of a practice go then soon as i’ve crashed already and then in the next

Ones we can kind of continue to focus and keep on pushing forward to see if i can do even better no that was slow that was slow like i don’t really care now because i’ve already failed so let’s kind of go all out and just try and go

As fast as we can for the the rest of this this run at least no look did you see that little shortcut there there’s a tiny little gap on the side there yeah let’s see if i can go through there i haven’t actually tried that i don’t know

If that would actually end up being quicker because it kind of doesn’t set you up very well to go through the other shortcut but if you go through there and then went through the next shortcut surely that would be faster it’s not easy it’s not an easy shortcut to do i

Don’t know if i’d suddenly want to to start trying to do it in all of my runs just because it’s kind of a little bit untested right now but as soon as we’ve already failed this run let’s give it one more go uh to see if i can make it

Through there and then i’m gonna carry on speeding up a little bit because everyone else must be catching up on me by now and there we go beautifully and through the next shortcut i had to lose a lot of speed to to get through that a second shortcut but that was pretty cool

And look at that i was able to find it out myself so yeah let’s just keep going uh through to the the end of this course it looks like i’m still ahead of the the other people in the game right now so i don’t need to worry too much about that

And i can go and try and set the time and i even scared them off they saw my incredible shortcut skills and they said i don’t want any of this he’s obviously unbeatable i am out of here that’s what they were that’s what they were thinking then

I’m joking i’m jo of course i’m joking i really like this part of the map it’s cool how you gonna go i don’t even know where are we there’s just like a a castle and stuff outside it’s really weird you just like what is this place is this like a tv

Is that like i don’t even know what that is maybe that is what it is i have no idea what that part is and then there’s just the little tiny house at the end which there’s no explanation of why there’s just a tiny house at the end it

Does just look like a borrower house as well but i do love all of those tiny details once again it just makes me wish that i could kind of just fly around endlessly and just look at the map and just kind of walk around it and stuff

Because you know you fly past it so fast and i keep going the same route every time that you get to hardly see anything so let’s go a little bit of a different route then you can go oh i don’t know why i didn’t get boosted

Then i thought it’s going to get boosted up then so yeah let’s go let’s go out that window then because i remember the first time i went this map i got really confused because i came up here and then i went to loop back around inside of the

House because as you get up here you can’t really tell that you need to go straight down so i went round to the left there and then just went back into the house i was like wait a minute wasn’t i just here a second ago so

That is not the way you’re meant to go you’re supposed to go down here and there we go three minutes and 10 seconds yeah definitely not my my best time at all but anyway that doesn’t matter let’s go cut in the video until round two is

About to begin and see if i actually can do better than my best time so far round two is just about to to start up we’re down to a 1v1 now it’s just me and uh jb medal that are going up against it but to be fair i’m never normally really

Racing against the other people it’s more the fact that i’m doing it online and i can’t restart i don’t know the poor person they joined the game just after the round started which means they’re gonna have to sit around and wait for ages while we go and glide around and uh

They’re just gonna have to sit there and wait for a little while uh right then full concentration full concentration this is one of the most important parts if i messed this up but there we go that was a pretty nice start here so let’s go

And try and do this part once again a rather tricky section and all i might be able to make it but that was slow that was very very slow even though i do make it to the end it’s gonna be tricky for me to to set a better time unless i do

The the rest really fast and you know what i am kind of doing this part really fast that was rather beautiful if i may say so myself after the the pretty rubbish beginning this is the other tricky part very nicely done and i am not trying my new shortcut i feel like

It has to be quicker i feel like there’s no way that isn’t quicker but it is just an extra challenge and i am happy with the the amount of challenge i have already without trying to pile anything else on it’s why i haven’t done any like extra silly challenges for glide like i

Haven’t done like playing glide blindfolded or playing glide you know while in the bath with your hands behind your back and a mouse nibbling your ears that’s why i haven’t done any of the the silly challenges because i feel like it’s hard enough i mean that could be i guess a kind of

Challenge where i’m playing in a weird way and i just need to make it to the end i guess could kind of work but yeah i feel like if you’re trying to get a really good time glide is plenty difficult without you trying to add extra silly challenges onto it i wonder

If you could do it in like a really low sensitivity so you just turn really slow that just like that could just make it impossible to complete those so maybe that would be a silly challenge but anyway if we can uh put our attention

Back to the uh the run at hand it’s been going all right that part there was a little bit slow and there’s been a few sections that could have definitely been quicker especially that one part right at the beginning uh where i almost didn’t make it but was just about able

To look at this though i was able to to make it through this section without the speed boost i should just about be able to make it to that tunnel so this is going to be a great time for getting one online what’s that uh two minutes and

Two seconds of course it’s uh well it’s like five seconds or so of my best time overall but yeah considering it was only my second attempt online uh online i am proud of that and that is going to set a a very good time for anyone else that

Joins this game and tries to to beat it so once again i’m going to cut ahead until round three is about to begin and that is going to be my final attempt ever to set a time in this video at least for the shrunk map okay then as

You can see final round final round this is what it’s all come down to i’m not too nervous only because i already have a pretty nice time so even if i fail here at least i can point back to my past achievements and say well i did all right then

It doesn’t matter how i ended it’s how i did in the the middle but of course it would be amazing to be able to beat that time on my final run it’s unlikely it has happened before when my best run has been my final run so i’m not saying it’s

Impossible but it’s uh pretty unlikely just because of how many difficult sections there are and immediately failed do you know what that kind of makes me happy at least all of the stress all of the worry has just immediately gone and now i can just kind

Of glide my way down to the the end of the the level but what it does mean is that my my time i set earlier is final then it is set on stone so it’s one minute 57 seconds and i’m trying to i’m trying to read my notes and play at the

The same time which isn’t difficult let me get to a straight second and then i’m going to read up the time again because i keep forgetting it so yeah one minute 57 seconds 0.798 and if you’re not sure you can just check the leaderboards yourself it

Should still be there uh so yeah that is the the time that you need to to beat if you want to be able to to beat me uh in the the challenge and this is currently unless they they release a map very shortly currently all of the maps

Completed in the the glide mini games which means there’s going to be a break from these videos i’ll probably go back and play some of the other battle mini games and stuff as well and do some new challenges there so as always feel free to leave any suggestions for for them as
