Hey what’s up guys it’s big tony here and today we’re building a giant medieval mansion in this video we’re just building the exterior but i’ll be posting a video soon where we’ll build the interior so uh make sure you subscribe now really quick before we start let’s talk about texturing i’d recommend Mixing in some other blocks with your stone bricks for example here i use stone and crack stone bricks but in this video i’ll be using just stone bricks and i’ll leave the texturing up to you if you want to do it alright so with all that being said let’s get started First of all build the first layer by following this layout so you should have something that looks like this and the first thing we’re gonna do is fill in our windows and doors so you’ll see we have two gaps there’s one on the front side right here and one on the back side Start by placing a cobblestone block in the ground place a spruce door on top and then two stone bricks on each side an upside down stone brick stair above the door and then we’ll repeat this in our gap on the back side next we’ll build our windows using black Stained glass and oak trap doors you’ll see we have these three wide sections between the logs and in the center of that we’ll place two black stained glass blocks with two oak trap doors on the inside we’ll have one window on that side of the door and Two windows on this side again in the center of those three wide sections our next windows will be on the back side and we’ll have four windows in the center of each of those three wide sections then on the right side of the back side we’ll have two windows here And one more on the other side of the door and finally on the front right side we’ll have three more windows Next we’re gonna build all of our stone bricks up an additional three blocks for a total of four of course going around all of those windows and doorways that we just made and we’re going to build a few of these parts up to five blocks tall Let’s start right here with what will be the tower and this little l shape here will build that up to five blocks tall and then this little semi-circle which will be the chimney build that up to five blocks tall as well next we’ll head over to this big Semi-circle which will be a balcony and the fourth block up place two upside down stairs and then one and then facing the other direction we’ll place one then two and then three and two and then one again and now facing the other direction place One and then two more now on top of all those upside down stairs place full stone brick blocks then we’re going to go with alternating full blocks and slabs all right so now that we have that in place we’re going to lay out some spruce planks on top of our walls We’ll start by filling in this half circle where the balcony will be and will fill it in on the fifth block up once you have that we’ll extend it out by two more blocks towards the inside Then we’re just going to place spruce planks on top of all of our four black tall walls so those parts that we made five blocks tall just skip those before we move on i’ll just pause here for a second in case you missed anything so we’ll start building up our logs now And some of them will be four blocks tall and some will be five these two that stick out from the front will build them up to five blocks tall so that’s four more plus the one we already have and on the front side only the leftmost log will be five bucks tall And then this one too on the back side all of these logs will be five blocks tall and now the rest of the logs will all be four blocks tall so we’ll add an additional three And now we’ll start adding some sideways logs so on the front side we’ll start with this five block tall log and just go all the way across And we’ll extend it out by one then from here we’ll go across to the tower and extend these each out by one on the far right side we’ll build this log out and extend it out by one then we’ll go across to the tower and again at each of these junctions We’ll extend it out by one on the back side we’ll just have two logs here and for the entire back side we’ll just have sideways logs going across in between those upright logs right here we’ll do the same and now back to the front side we’ll have three sideways locks here Three here and three more here and then we’ll have seven going across between these two logs that stick out in these two three by three sections let’s play spruce top slabs now underneath these logs i’ll place seven spruce fence gates on each of these logs that stick out and Have the bare ends i’m gonna place spruce buttons and then in this section next to the tower i’m going to make an optional stables i’ll break out this grass then place two spruce fence gates then i’ll place a three tall spruce fence post two fence gates the fence post again three blocks tall Two fence gates fence post and finally two more spruce fence gates now for the roof i’ll play spruce labs going across those fence posts then going over and up one i’ll place another line of slabs now at the top of all of these three wide sections between the logs i’m going To make them a little bit more round using spruce stairs and trap doors so to do this you’re going to place a stair in each of the top corners and then three trap doors in between and on the sides so it’ll look something like this and it’s going to be a repeating pattern If you want to you can just place the stairs down to trap doors it won’t look as nice but you’ll save a lot of wood so we’re going to make these arches on the front side under the stables all over here on this side of the chimney we’ll do the Same thing but they get cut off so i’ll just show you we’ll place a stair and then two trap doors We’ll make the archways all the way on the back side in this corner right here we’ll place two stairs and a trapdoor at the top and a trap door below each stair just the same archways that i showed you all around here and you don’t need anything between the Log in that little balcony so now go ahead and do that archway that i showed you in all of those three block wide sections and i’m going to do this off camera because it’s pretty self-explanatory but it takes some time next i’m going to place some upside down Spruce stairs in between all of these logs that stick out by one underneath this balcony on the front that sticks out i’m going to make a floor out of cobblestone and mossy cobblestone i’ll start with the cobblestone and just mix it around and then towards the edges i’ll start placing mossy cobblestone And i’m going to make the edge undefined so it looks more natural and i’ll mix in that mossy cobblestone with the cobblestone All right so now we’re done with the base of our house and before we move on to the next step i’ll just fly around in case you missed anything so now let’s start building our upper walls which will be made out of oak logs and calcite And we’re going to build these on the inside layer so above these spruce planks and not on the logs we’ll start right here next to the tower with a four black tall oak log and this will be in line with the vertical log down below place another one in line with this log Skip the corner and then one here one here and one here skip the corner again and place another four black total log here then go diagonally one and place a four block tall log skip three place another skip three place another and finally skip three more and place another on the edge Go diagonally place another log skip the corner and place another log and place two more Skip this corner but place one on this corner and well i think you get it from here we’re basically just placing four black tall logs in line with all those other logs down below but skipping the corners Okay i’ll pause here for a second in case you need to see where those logs go again now we’ll start filling in the spaces in between those logs with calcite and glass panes and again this is a repetitive pattern basically we’re building the calcite four blocks tall with a one by two Window in the center in the corners we’ll have the same thing but from two different sides now where we have this porch sticking out we’re gonna have doors instead of windows so again we’re just building up our calcite four blocks tall but this time we’ll leave a one by two Space at the bottom for a door and we’ll place a spruce door in there now that you know how to build the door corner and window sections i’m gonna stop talking and just let you watch because we’re basically repeating these three patterns This corner on the back side gets a little bit different we’ll basically just have our normal window section but connected to the log then in this two wise section we’ll just build that up with calcite and no windows and then after that it’s just back to normal When we get to the chimney we’ll start off with our normal window section but with one block connecting it to the chimney and no window on the side with the chimney on the side of the chimney towards the front we’ll do the same thing but with a door section instead And all of these sections on the front right side will have doors all right so now that all those walls are in place i’ll just pause here for a second in case you missed anything now just like we did with the stone bricks down below i’m going to place spruce planks on top Of all that calcite and oak locks that we just placed then we’ll build up some more calcite so let’s start on the side of the chimney place two blocks here and then three and we’ll do the same thing on the other side so two and then three On our front side above the doors in the balcony we’ll build all of this up two blocks tall next we’re gonna start going in one for sort of a triangle shape and we’ll do that for three more layers for a total of five on top of those spruce planks On the next layer we’ll place two blocks on each side then we’ll make a three block wide four block tall glass window then on each side of the glass window we’ll build up two blocks then we’ll place three blocks on top of the glass and then two more On the other side we’ll have two blocks tall going all the way across except we’re going to have two double wide doors in the center with one block of space in between them just like so and of course those gaps will be two blocks tall we’ll build these blocks up two blocks tall And then i’m gonna place some spruce doors in there for the next layer we’ll go inwards one on each side then we’ll go in one again for the next layer we’re still going to go inwards one block on each side but instead of calcite we’re going to use sideways oak logs So that’s it for our upper inner walls and now we’ll do the upper outer walls which will be the logs and spruce details so let’s start over here by the tower with a six block tall log and that’ll be one block taller than those walls with another one right here And another on the corner now at the level of the planks we’re gonna have three sideways logs and then three planks at the top in between each gap now we’re just going to do our arch with our stairs and trap doors to round this Out now in most of these sections below the window i’ll make a flower box but here since we have a two block wide shelf i’m gonna add some leaf bushes instead and i’m just gonna mix in some azalea and flowering azalea leaves and have them hang over the edge a Little bit and try to make them look natural Over on the front side we have a six block tall log on the right side so let’s make one on the left side six blocks tall right here we’ll build this log up until it’s the same height as that calcite wall and same right here this center section will build it up to Four blocks tall now we’re going to have sideways logs going across on these spruce planks add your spruce stair and trap door details to round out these corners and then below the two windows i’ll make a flower box using three grass three trapdoors and then a mixture of grass and ferns on top And if you want you can use some flowers instead in the center upper section i’m going to start with spruce planks going all the way across the bottom and then i’ll have five on top and then three and then one then we’ll have an oak log going across right below the window On the left side i’ll place three planks and three upside down stairs and we’ll do the same on the right side in the center section i’ll round out the corners with a stair and two trapdoors on each side up here we’ll place a spruce plank in line with this calcite block on each Side then we’ll have a three tall oak log going up on each side next to that glass window i’ll round out the corners of the glass window by placing a stair and then trap doors in between at the top i’m gonna place three sideways oak logs And then we’ll have two planks on top so that’s it for our front wall and i’ll pause here for a minute before we move on okay so on the left side over here let’s start by building up this log to six blocks three sideways logs going across and Three planks on top and then we’ll just make our little archway here below the window we’ll make our flower box the same as on the front side now we’ll repeat that all the exact same on the other side over here we’ll build up our log six blocks three sideways locked in between and Then three planks and then our archway of stairs and trapdoors and the flower box below the window on this wall by the circular balcony we’ll build these two outside logs up by six and then the two center logs up by seven now we’ll have our sideways logs going across at the planks In the middle section two now we’ll round out all these archways on top we’ll place three planks in each of these two outside sections and then we’ll have a three by three square in the center section with one block on top on the back side let’s start by building Up a six block tall log on the left side for these three center logs i’ll build them up four blocks tall and i have one big sideways log going all the way across here at the level of the planks we’ll round out these arches with our stairs and trap doors Now up above we’ll build this log up by an additional five and this one as well then we’ll have sideways logs going across in between for these two outside sections we’ll do the same as we did on the front side so three planks and then three upside down stairs We’ll do this over here as well on top of this sideways log we’ll place one plank on each side then we’ll place a three block tall oak log on each side in the center we’ll just fill this in with spruce planks and make that one block taller than the logs And then on top we’ll have three sideways logs now at the very top here we’ll just place two spruce planks so this should be the same shape as our front wall but a different pattern we’re gonna make a balcony next right below where these double doors are so i have two Sideways oak logs sticking out from this point right here here and here underneath each one place an upside down stair and a trapdoor then place three upside down stairs in between each section and three trap doors place a button on the end of each log and i nearly forgot place a trap door Here as well Going diagonally from this log we’ll build another oak log four blocks tall and we’ll build one on each side then we’ll place five sideways logs going across the top in the center there on top we’ll have two more vertical logs and then a spruce plank on each side Then we’ll just round out these corners using a stairs and trap doors next we’ll make a railing out of fences and fence skates so place a fence gate right here to connect it to the log and then a fence post on the corner then we’ll just go with alternating Fences and fence gates for the rest on the second level here don’t forget to add flower boxes just like we did before three grass three trap doors and then grass and ferns on top Now this back side is pretty simple and it’s pretty repetitive too so just build all these legs up by an additional six Then let’s go ahead and add our three sideways logs in between each section at the level of the planks and then we’ll add our planks on top of the logs then we’ll round out each corner using our stairs and trap doors And then we’ll add in our flower boxes in the same way that we’ve been doing all right so that’s the back side of our house complete now move on to this side by the chimney start with two sideways logs at the level of the planks round that out with a stair and some Trapdoors and then here we’ll place two planks and two upside down stairs now we’ll just repeat this on the other side of the chimney The front right side where we have all these doors will be a little bit different so make sure you’re paying attention our logs will start the same we’ll just build them up six blocks tall with three horizontal logs in between then we can place our three spruce planks in between each section Now here’s where it gets different below the logs we’ll just place three upside down stairs like so and three spruce fence gates below the stairs then i’ll make a railing starting with a fence post and then we’ll just use alternating fence posts and fence gates At the level of these upside down stairs i’m going to place a fence post on each log and then i’m going to place a lantern hanging from it so our walls are done now i’ll pause for a minute and then we’ll move on to our tower and chimney So let’s start with our chimney and we’re going to build all of these blocks up by an additional 13 for a total of 18. and that should be 5 blocks above the tallest spruce plank Now for the top four levels we’ll place four blocks on each side and then a four by three one block apart so at the top we’ll basically have a five by five square but with the corners missing next i’m going to place three walls on each side of the top Then we’ll place a four block in each of these corners and fill in the rest with hay bales next i’m just going to place full blocks on top of all of those walls after that we can fill in this area with campfires so that’s it for our chimney and i’ll Just pause here for a bit all right now for our tower we’re going to build it up an additional 18 for a total of 23. if you go on top of this wall here count up one two three and then on the fourth one place a block And now just start filling in this wall Until we get to that block that you placed before and now we’re gonna stick out by two so that’ll make a wall of nine blocks wide and then we’re gonna go in nine blocks in this direction so we’ll have a nine by nine tower I’m just going to count these blocks really quick to make sure i got the right size and it turns out i’m one block short this is a nine by eight so i’ll extend this out by one block so we’ll have a nine by nine and now we’ll just start filling in all Four walls up to that height of a total of 23. foreign now let’s go back down to this wall right here and here i’ll just place one two three over on this side i’ll just place one block right there and that’ll accommodate our roof which will be at an angle Next we’ll add some crenellations to our tower so one block below the top we’ll place an upside down stone brick stair and then we’ll place one every other block along this wall next i’ll place two full blocks on top of each stair and then on the lower full block i’ll Place another upside down stair in between place stone brick walls in between these full blocks at the top and then i’m going to place slabs across this whole thing so that’s our crenellation pattern and we’ll repeat this on all four sides for the corners we’ll just place a full Block with a wall on top and then a slab on top of the wall once you have all of your crenellations in place we’re going gonna fill in this floor with spruce blanks all righty so now on top of here place four oak logs in one corner it doesn’t matter which skip three Blocks and place another one and then another in the corner and we’ll just repeat this there should be a oak log four blocks tall on each corner and one in the center of each side next i’m going to make a trapdoor railing for this i’m just going to place Three flip trap doors in between each section and if you want you can use fences and fence gates instead next i’m going to place sideways logs at the top in between each section and then we’ll smooth out all these corners with our stair and trapdoor Archways Okay so we’re not quite finished with the tower yet at the top of each log i’m going to place an upside down stair sticking out and then three trapdoors in between and i’m also going to place a trapdoor in the corners and this will just make a Little platform for our roof to sit so we’re finished with our tower for now but we’ll come back later and do the roof On this front side where we have our balcony we build each of these corner logs up by an additional five then we’ll place some horizontal logs in between no need to connect them on the sides here next we’ll just round out the corners with our stairs and trap doors Now up above here i’m going to place an oak log with a flip trap door next to it Place a sideways oak log above the trap door then we’ll have three vertical logs next to it one sideways log here and then two trap doors below one more vertical log on top then going to the right it plays three vertical logs a trapdoor with a sideways log above it And then one more vertical log on the side on the fourth block up from the balcony i’ll place three fences like so and a lantern hanging from each fence post now for the railing of our balcony i’m going to use leg turns with trapdoors on top but of course you can also use Fences and fence gates next let’s go over to our big round balcony on the left side from the second slab go diagonally and place a log here so that should be one block out from those middle logs and we’ll build each of these up for a total of six Place sideways locks in between then on top we’ll place three vertical oak logs like so then we’ll place three spruce planks on each side now here i’m going to connect these logs to the wall with horizontal logs round out these corners using stairs and trapdoors and this part as well And that’s it now we’re ready for our roof but before we get to the roof i’ll just fly around in case you need to see anything again all right so for our roof we’re going to be using deep slate tiles and i’m going to start with this little Balcony on the front side because it’s nice and simple so we’re basically just going up with a slope of stairs and we’ll place upside down stairs underneath and on the bottom here we’ll place top slabs i’ll go up with our upside down stairs and place our normal stairs on top In the center here we’ll place an upside down stair with a slab on top and then we’ll do the same frame on the other side now that we have our frame in place we just have to fill it in and don’t forget to place upside down stairs underneath At the top here we’ll just place full blocks alright so that’s it for this balcony roof and now we’ll go to the back side this roof is also pretty similar it’s just a slope of stairs with the slabs underneath on each side and a row of slabs on the top Next i’ll go up there and do our tower roof we’re going to start with just a ring of stairs around the edge so in this ring above the logs you can just place anything like dirt because you won’t see it but i’m just gonna use these tiles since i’m in creative Then after that we’ll place a ring of upside down stairs now going in one we’re going to place another ring of stairs and again we’ll place a ring of blocks that you won’t be able to see and then we’ll place a ring of upside down stairs And then we’ll have one more ring of normal stairs which makes three and again a ring of blocks that you won’t see and then a ring of upside down stairs on the next level which is the fourth level of this roof we’re going to have full blocks going around And i’m just gonna fill in this whole area and then we’ll place three stairs on each side so skip the corners again i’ll fill this in you can use any blocks because you won’t see it then we’ll do a three by three blocks again and one stair on each side this time Then place two blocks then we’ll need a wall to go on top and finally i’m just going to place a lightning rod but i’m going to put it upside down because i think it looks better and don’t worry it’s still functional and next we’ll start working on our main Roof so it started on the right side here and this will just be a normal slope of just stairs but it’ll be cut off by the chimney so place the top slab at the level of our sideways logs and then we’ll just go up with stairs on top of that Don’t forget to place your upside down stairs underneath and that’s our frame so i’ll take these slabs all the way across and then we’ll place two rows of stairs just two on the third row i’m going to place four stairs on this side and then five full blocks And on this side we’ll place three more stairs for a total of five now on these full blocks i’ll place two four black tail logs on each side and then i’m going to place two stairs on each side at the top with three trapped doors next i’ll place three sideways logs on Top and one more vertical one on the very top now going inwards of block we’re going to make a wall out of our calcite in glass panes then on each side i’ll place two blocks in the center and then one more at the top sticking out Now we’ll continue our roof so the next level place stairs on each side of that dormer And then on the next level place three stairs and then a full block and here we’re going to have top slabs going off from that full block we’ll do the same here except one stair and then a full block and then our top sides going out from That block place stairs on the slabs and this will connect with our main frame here i’ll just place a slab and then we’ll do the stairs on this side as well and then just kind of go in an l shape to connect with that dormer and i’ll place these slabs in there too And then we’ll do the next layer of stairs for our dormer but this goes above the frame of our main frame so we’ll just have these across but we’ll stop them there for now and don’t forget to place your upside down stairs so we’ll just finish up this dormer Following the frame that we made using just stairs and then slide to the top and one thing that i nearly missed is place three trap doors below the glass here or you can also place a flower box if you want on this side we’ll make the same frame So start with our top slabs and we’ll just extend these all the way across and you can make them go in an l-shape because we’ll also have the top slabs here next we’ll place a line of stairs on top of all those top slabs place an upside-down stair there then We’ll do another line of stairs and again we’ll make it an l-shape to connect with this roof over here i’ll place an upside down stair and then i’m going to place five normal stairs then we’ll place five full blocks and then we’ll continue our stairs again i’ll just need a placeholder block there Now going back i’ll build the dormer the same way as the one we did on the front side so four black tall logs on each side i stare at the top and then three trap doors and this time i’m gonna place these three trap doors so i don’t forget On top we’ll place three sideways logs and then one vertical one and here we’ll place our calcite wall with a two block tall glass pane and two blocks on each side with one more on the top extending inwards now continue the frame of our roof just going up with stairs This one will connect to the wall the next one we’ll place one stair and then a full block and all the top slabs going out from that then we’ll continue with our stairs for our dormer and this time it’ll connect with the other dormer And then again we’ll have a line of slabs at the top and then we’ll just go back down with stairs All right so let’s go ahead and start working on the frame here as you see the slope increases once you get to that log so we’ll just continue with our stairs and upside down stairs until we get past this spruce planking up to the log where it increases by two Now here we’re going to place a full block with the stair on top then we have an upside down stair with another full block on top a stair upside down stair full block stair then a top will place an upside down stair and one full block Now we’ll just go down at the same frame so a stair full block upside down stair stair and then a full block upside down stair with a normal stair on it and one more full block um here i’m just going to place a normal stair first And the rest of the frame will just be regular stairs so i’ll just go up with that and then i’ll try to place it upside down stairs all right so that’s the frame for the back side and it’ll be the same for the front side so i’ll pause here and if you Want you can just copy it from this or i’ll show you it again in a second for this frame over our little circular balcony we’re just gonna go with a classic stair and upside down star roof with our slabs below each side and at the top Now that we have our frame in place we can start filling it in and it’ll connect with this roof from the back side Now before we go any farther for the frame on this side i’m just going to build the frame on the front side and then we’ll connect it all so like i mentioned this frame is the same as the back side so we’ll start off with our top slabs and stairs on top Notice go up with stairs and upside down stairs until we get to this log where the slope changes to two and here next to this log we’ll place a full block with the stair on top and repeat this pattern until we get to the top then place an upside down stair with one Full block on top and then we’ll work our way back down mirroring this on the other side Do all right so now we’ll just pause here for a minute in case you need to copy either of these two frames So now we’ll start filling in the left side the first five layers you should be able to do yourself it’s just stairs but then stop after that because we’ll add some dormers On our sixth layer of stairs up place only three stairs and then we’ll place a vertical oak log then a horizontal one then another vertical one then we’ll build up each of these two vertical ones up by an additional two for a total of three place two glass pins in between and then One more horizontal oak log on top that’s the shape of our dormer then we’re going to go over with five stairs and repeat this then go over five more stairs and then repeat it one more time so we’ll have three dormers Now the frames for these dormers will be basically what we’ve been doing but on a smaller scale so we’ll just have a slope of stairs with slabs on each side and a row of slabs on the top and we’ll connect it to our main frame Just keep in mind that the slope of the mainframe changes to a slope of full blocks with stairs on top instead of just stairs Once we get past our dormers the rest is pretty simple so i’ll go ahead and speed this up i’ll pause here for a minute in case you need to see this and then we’ll finish off our roof on this side we’ll follow the frame for the first two layers of stairs and then On the third layer we’ll have a start of a dormer so for the third layer place two more stairs for a total of three and we’re going to copy that dormer over there so this is five more blocks and that should line up with that log in the center And place two stairs on this side now let’s go ahead and build that dormer just like we did those other two so four tall oak lock pillars on each side i stare at the top of each side and three trap doors three sideways logs on the top and then one more vertical one Then on this side we’ll place our cow side with our glass panes in the center two more calcite on each side with one more sticking out on the top Place your three trap doors below the window or your flower box if you want place some more stairs on each side And then here we’ll place one stair and then a full block then we’ll go across with our top slabs same here one stair and then a full block and your top slabs and then we’ll just fill in the frame of stairs for our dormer these stairs will go all the way across To the other side but let’s go ahead and finish up the roof over here first so remember that the slope changes to a slope of full blocks and stairs and connect the dormer to that full block and the stairs so from this point on there’s not really Much explaining i can do you’re just filling in the roof and connecting the frames that we already built so i’ll go ahead and just let you watch this All right so now our roof is finished and there’s just one more final detail but first i’ll do a little fly around in case you need to see anything again okay that final detail i mentioned is actually two details first of all place some horses in your horse stables And finally just add some bushes around the base of your house here i’m using a mix of azalea and flowering azalea Leaves so that brings us to the end of this video but the interior will be coming soon so don’t forget to subscribe i hope you enjoyed the video and if you did don’t forget to leave a thumbs up and i hope to see you again soon You Video Information
