Minecraft Mods FTB HermitPack – AUTOCRAFTING [E21] (HermitCraft Modded Server)

What’s up everybody welcome back to another episode of Hermit pack on the hermit craft server oh yeah guys so thanks FTP utilities so last episode yet we’re checking out the Elektra wings that we got on our dark plate armor dark steel armor whatever yeah and they were

Looking transparent but now they are not transparent so I don’t know what’s going on we’re transparent earlier when I first started but now they’re not hmm I don’t know if something it’s not that weirds happening with those but that’s kind of cool anyway that they look like

They should now uh so guys I want check out and mod that was just riad ‘add well I guess added we’ve had it before in like the previous hermitcraft mod packs quantum flux let’s take a look at this real quick so it’s got a lot of really cool items in here

I keep hearing good things about this magnet I think I’ve checked this out once before but it’s been a very long time I’d like to check this one out it does require these ender crystals and those I believe oh you can’t make them I thought those are only dropped from

Enderman okay I think enervent do drop them as well but anyway yeah I think we’ll go ahead and take a look at this magnet since I keep hearing good things about it I want to have the best magnet possible so I don’t know how much better

It is in the quayne a fortune but we will check it out so let’s go and make one of these real quick I do believe I have some these under crystals I’m typing it in there why does it do that I’m searching for ender than I do space

Crystal and then like he gets how does that work I don’t know is that like it’s searching for multiple different items anyway the inner crystal here so we do have some of those yeah that’s weird that you type in the name and like it searches twice anyway let’s go and do

This so it requires these amplification crystals which is two nether quartz a diamond in this is dark stone which is cobblestone a stone and then I guess some kind of black dye and that gives just sixteen of them unfortunately doesn’t look like we have any black dye

But we can fix that real quick just by doing one of those what is this black glue this actually additions I don’t know how I got those we can do one of those we need the mortar and pestle pestle and mortar one of those things there we go one of those these there’s

Some of died and here we go okay so there’s our dark stone so item magnin this we need two of those there’s two of them OOP click it yep there we go and there’s our Ida magnet cool so that’s pretty easy to do so how does that differ from

The coin of fortune I’m not entirely sure let’s go and turn this one off we will put this on a bar turn it on yep and then okay so it does that let’s see distance wise how far away this works okay it’s on I’m walking closer

Okay um I don’t remember is that the same distance that they coin a fortune or two let’s let’s throw down one of these things again how close does this work so it’s about the same distance maybe a little bit further but the thing is the coin of fortune makes sounds when

It picks up items right so that’s a difference okay so the other one does not appear to make sound so that makes it better in my opinion although I’m not sure if it’s like better as far as a magnet goes yet yeah just picks it up no

Dinging sound I think we’ll go ahead and go with that the queen of fortune looks like that can also be used as a bauble this doesn’t say it can be used as a bauble candle let’s trade on a bauble slot any one of these oh can go oh

That’s our offhand let’s say you can go in that slot no okay so this cannot be used as bauble this can although even if it can be used as a bauble you still have to you know take it out of your bauble slot to turn off and on so I

Guess it doesn’t really matter that it can be anyway I think this magnet can also pull items through walls but I believe the coin of fortune does that – but this one’s quiet so we’re gonna go with it I don’t know how much better it

Is than the other one as far as like actually magnet eating up items but yeah I like it so another item from quantum flux that we have here is the imaginary time block this is probably one of the more opie items in quantum flux yeah we’re gonna

Go and make this item so it does require a couple other stars in this cubic cluster level 3 which requires 4 level twos and finally for level ones which requires all of this stuff so it’s a little bit expensive so that’s three gold in a redstone / – with those and

Then these are diamond and nether quartz plus 2 of those ender crystals for two of those anyway it gets a little bit of it’s a little expensive here yeah and then finally we need two nether stars and this stuff so let me go and get to

The crafting here we’ll go and make this and we’ll check out the imaginary time block from quantum flux alright guys well I went on quite an adventure to get this imaginary time block made yeah we required a lot of nether quartz in order

To do that and I ran out try to go to the nether and farm a bunch of that yeah and also part of the recipe we need to do another star so I just got done fighting two more with her bosses so anyway we takes a lot of gold takes a

Lot of course takes a lot of iron and so on so forth under pearls and quartz and yeah so we got this done so imaginary time block let’s go and set that down take a look at it pretty cool it requires our F in order to work your way

Click on it nothing shift right click nothing so it has no interface but it does take power so this is supposed to speed up crop growth within a certain area so I was trying to figure out how I’m gonna get black ink for the stuff that we needed

Yeah the let’s see what is it the these things no not those these right these are quite the dark stone the dark stone quarry or some kind of black dye it’s floral black powder is what we’re using but we only had one of those flowers right so I remember that you can plant

The mystical black petal on the ground you just right-click in and then after so long it will grow into a double tall flower I think anyway I planted that here I tried using the torch or Ino torches on there I had it going for like

10 well maybe five minutes I did go for like five minutes doesn’t speed up the growth rate so yeah it’s try to figure out how to get the black ink I was flying around all the different places that there’s water nearby like the ocean right here

By my base I’m not seeing any squid spawn I don’t know what’s going on with that there’s no squid that are spawning around here he’s seeing a lot of the Guardians no squid though hmm so I don’t know what the deal with that is if people have chunks

Loading squids are spawning they’re not D spawning or anyway I was kind of trying to figure out how to get ink squid was my first choice wasn’t seeing any decided to plant that petal it was taking so long torture ena wasn’t helping that out then I remember that we had the noir they

Call the black bees the Black Lotus from actually editions yeah you can’t put those in the crafting grid you do get to black dye for craft and that works just fine but that got me thinking since the mystical black petal didn’t work though with the torch arena we’ll the imaginary

Time block make that work faster I’m kinda curious to see if that’s gonna be the case let’s go ahead and set this down over here by our battery area I want to plant this thing I don’t know what the range is the height difference there any of this stuff is and we just

Plant that there will this thing grow I’m not sure that’s got full power and this thing is still sparkling maybe this is based on actual time and not like gain tick time or maybe this doesn’t work one block lower I honestly don’t know anyway I thought we’ve tried that

Doesn’t look like that’s going to speed it up any so the imaginary time block is supposed to speed of crop growth significantly so I’m kind of curious to see how it’s gonna work in this pack let me grab some conduits here we’ll grab some of our ender energy conduit that

Should be fine let’s settle out over here to where we had a lot of crops growing yeah the outputs full this thing is pretty much full we have before these ultimate gas tanks completely filled up here yeah so we’re probably gonna have to remove some stuff from here in order

To find out how fast it’s gonna grow anyway let’s get rid of that torch here we’ll put the imaginary time block right on top and I think we’re just gonna dig down under here and get some power out of the side like so oh my goodness

Okay so that is doing exactly what the torch arena was kind of doing on these cross wasn’t it yeah that is a little crazy okay yeah since we’re using that dirt down there the fertilized soil I don’t think we’re gonna be able to do this let me go ahead

And just for fun grab like the seeds out of here so that should fill up from the chest I’m sorry I should fill up from over here oops I didn’t mean to do that from this guy oh can i I don’t think I can click on the four-week station these plants just keep

Growing yeah so that’s a little overpowered I don’t know if we can stick that under the ground or whatever but it looks like these crops are growing instantly as soon as it’s being harvested they’re being grown again so yeah I don’t know if we need this anyway

I wanted to check that out cuz they haven’t seen the imaginary time block in this specific mod pack I didn’t know like how it would react compared to like the torch arena’s for instance it looks like it’s about the same thing but does require power and does require a lot of

Resources go into it so it’s a little less Chiti although the torture Reno at this point in time the recipe has been changed requires three diamond blocks three nether stars two clocks and a torch so it’s a lot more expensive than it used to be which I believe the recipe

Before is just like four of these clocks yeah so another stars and the diamonds add a little bit to the difficulty of obtaining that but it’s not like really difficult anyway it’s better than what it was so that’s what the imaginary time block does it’s what it looks like it’s pretty awesome

I wanted the soil down here like so and then that’ll get replanted I assume eventually whenever the farming station comes around to this raids that auto till maybe we have to fill it myself I don’t know we’ll just leave it like that we have plenty of crops growing I need

To divide up my inventory we have so many seeds you know turn the magnet off we’re just gonna dump these over here oh I thought you could do now I guess we have to do like shift Q control Q there it is control Q gets a stack out of your

Inventory out of time whatever you have selected and the wheat T we’ll just lift that despawn over there that’ll be fine cool all right well I definitely wanted to see how this thing worked and we’ve got a chance to see it yeah I guess that

Would work better if we had it on the unfertile soil so you weren’t seeing all those particle effects and then it wouldn’t really make that big of a deal with the fertilized soil though I don’t think we’re gonna be able to use it um yeah I think this farm is fast enough actually

With the greenhouse glass and the fertile soil below to keep everything full yeah cuz we are keeping up all of our gas and we aren’t using it as fast as its producing it right now so it definitely doesn’t need to be sped up that much but I guess we could find

Other uses for this imaginary time block so I’m Tracy the imaginary time block works with vanilla spawners and it doesn’t really feel like that’s making the Spotted go much faster although it could be just slightly yeah my trade also using the imaginary time block on

Our machines that we had over here um I was trying to see if it worked like the torch we know so I’ve broke out a block put a little bit of a cable back there and powered it right on top of here and yeah it does not seem to make these

Machines go much faster by the way I did find some of these upgrades these are ones that you can only find at dungeons yeah I found them when I was looking for the cocoa beans or I guess the coffee beans in like the the jungle temples or whatever the jungle ruined things anyway

Yeah I found a few of those so now we got one here one here I think there might be another one somewhere maybe not anyway so it doesn’t look like the imaginary time block is speaking of machines or monster spawner so that’s just something else to note so that’s

Interesting about it so I take that back and if the elektra I’m noticing with the dark steel armor every now and then it glitches out so when I try fly it makes it act like I am trying to glide which I’m not so I’m not sure if I like that

Or if I can get that off of my armor or whatever anyway I did move the monster spawner so it’s facing this side of the of this room by the way I remove the switch from over here I think this just makes sense being the front instead of

That being the front on that side so that’s just another change that I have made here oh you know what I think I need a piece of glass on top of the spawner too we go and I but yeah so we just go ahead and flip

The lever here so this spawns way fast obviously since we have the octet ik capacitor in there and yeah just the power spotter works way better so if we need blaze rods this is the way we’re doing it alright guys so another thing that I’d like to look at today is

Getting wireless connectivity to re-find storage yeah like a wireless terminal or something I know we have one in this pack I just haven’t really got a chance to look at it and now we’re kind of like expanding out our beast a little bit so now when I’m over here doing stuff and I

Need something it’s just kind of annoying enough to run all the way back around and over especially just since we don’t have like super fast movement we can’t move kind of fast but just be more convenient to have something on a hot bar we just right-click and then get

Access to our items right so I want to look at getting the wireless refined storage access so let’s take a look at this I’ve never done this before I do know there’s a wireless grid I know there’s a wireless crafting grid Wireless crafting monitor oh you know

What the crafting monitor I was thinking this was like a wireless crafting grid nevermind this brother just tells you yeah that probably just tells you what’s crafting at any given time I don’t think we’re gonna be doing that nevermind so we’re also probably gonna need some kind of a

Way wireless transmitter I think this is what we need in order for the system to know that we want to do stuff wirelessly I haven’t really explored this too much but let’s take a look at the wireless grid for right now we’ll just kind of see what this goes into it so we’re

Gonna need the quartz enriched iron which is pretty standard for this mod a diamond processor the grid which is the destruction core which is the basic processor another quartz I don’t know why that’s red I guess had to choose some color we need a construction core which is a

Glow stone and basic processor that’s blue again probably just cuz they needed a color improve processor so that’s the gold processors in the machine casing which is pretty easy to do are we able to just craft this thing up pretty quickly like do I have it over the stuff

In the system I might let’s see if we can do this so if we do one of those and then think it was a redstone for the other one maybe it wasn’t redstone for the other one uh-uh let’s go back to this thing real quick this that was quartz

And okay yeah at the red color that got me okay so anyway we should be able to make this guy now so there’s a grid and do we have this we do okay so that was pretty easy so I do also have a wireless power every what’s called wireless

Charger it’s over a year on our vibrant capacitor bank I didn’t show this I don’t think the last time yeah we did put a wireless charger right here so this is keeping our armor completely full of power all the time as you saw as I just grabbed that wireless grid this

Thing filled up with power immediately and that’s because that guy right there okay and I right click on this what does it say nothing can I put it into this guy and 81 you could take this and drop into a slot on the side over here I

Think but there’s no slot on the side those are upgrade slots so maybe we do need the wireless transmitter is this thing difficult to make no that looks pretty that looks pretty easy right that and this easy place on a cable okay I grab some cable here I don’t I guess we

Have to go back anyway I want to see how this thing works can we I’m wondering can I stick your leg on the side onto that cable right there doesn’t seem to want to work that way maybe has to be placed up and down let me place that cable here and we’ll

Place that right there see that connects to it but this wouldn’t connect to that anyway if we were a click on this guy it says 16 blocks now if I yeah right click and this still doesn’t do anything you have to shift where I click onto that

Thing they put this here yeah I’m gonna have to figure out what else we need there’s probably some other kind of like a security terminal or something we need network receiver network transmitter okay I’m gonna look a little bit more into this I think we might need these things

Figure out what we need to do we’ll be right back guys all right so all it took was just one quick google search and I found it all you do is I think shift right click onto the controller and that seemed to have linked it to the system so now we have

Access to all of our stuff let’s do you yeah I usually sort by quantity and descending so I see the most amount at the very top that’s usually the way I do it because those are the most important things usually so yeah now we’ve got access to our stuff wirelessly now this

Is supposed to transmit a 16 blocks by default yeah that’s still not gonna be far enough so we need some kind of range extender oh that’s gonna be something else we’re gonna have to do I assume there’s gonna be some of these upgrades or something range upgrade right here ok

So I don’t know how much of a range that upgrades but that’s the upgrade thing so it’s a gold processor couple of glass some quartz and it gives us one of these upgrade housings and then that with an ender pearl plus a redstone hopefully that I’ve creed’s it more than one block

At a time I don’t know let me go ahead and start making some of those I’ll experiment around see what we can do yeah we definitely want that thing to work probably at least a year but I think I’d want it to work everywhere in

The base so we might have to make a few of those upgrades anyway so let me get to it and we’ll be back once again guys alright guys so that wasn’t so bad so I went in at me for these range upgrades it’s kind of looking and see if there’s

Any way we could combine those together yeah for instance like you can do for the speed upgrades into the stack upgrade I was hoping that we would be able to do that here but no it doesn’t look like it so wireless transmitter by default goes

Sixteen blocks so we put one of those in there we go to 24 blocks which is an additional eight or eight yeah additionally so another thing I was curious is like how much power is this using so if we go here wireless transmitters doing e.r.s per tick and at

16 blocks if we put in one of these it goes eat more blocks so I took 24 and then over here on the power it is now doing 16 so it’s like it adds in one more RS per tick per block extended right so now we’re doing 24 now we are doing 32

And finally we can go all the way up to forty eight blocks away yeah and our wireless transmitter is now gonna be using 40 RF protect just to have the wireless thing available so I think that’s fine we got plenty of power that we can make right now our total

System right now is doing 79 RF per tick RF and RS that are the same thing it’s just refined storages conversion one-to-one our RF anyway so now we have the wireless or the wireless grid yeah oh does not work back here but if we get let’s see where does it start working

Looks like we’re about here so that’s pretty close I mean another thing we could do since it doesn’t work like everywhere we can add in more of those wireless transmitters so we could put one leg over on this side and one over here and like maybe just one for a room

Or something but I think that’s gonna be mostly good and let’s see how far away it works over here so it worked the end of the hallway it certainly does what about a leak over into this area wimpleton yet no not quite but almost almost not quite the entire thing but I

Think that’s gonna be pretty good for our basic usage for what we need because normally like I said I’m over here working on some things like oh no I need a lever and now I can just I’ll just like now I can just grab a lever it’s

Too bad this thing doesn’t have a crafting grid in it too but you know I’m not gonna complain alright guys well since we’re still working with refine storage I thought I’d be kind of a cool idea to start looking at the auto crafting that this mod can do yeah so we

Made ourselves a pattern grid we have a crafter here in some blink patterns as far as I understand it these are about the only things you absolutely need there’s also the I think it’s the crafting crafting monitor or something crafting great crafting monitor thing yeah and this thing I believe this shows

You what items are missing from the auto craft that you’re trying to do and some other things we might look at this little bit later but I I believe that’s an optional item so better great I believe is the the first item we should probably take a look at here and put a

Torch back there again well stick that like that okay so like the crafting grid except we have these slots right here which are pretty familiar if you played around with the plate energistics so I assume we do one of those and then in order to craft something we need to put the pattern

Here and then tell it to do that so I guess we’ll start off with something simple let’s do oak wood oak planks and you can do or dictionary looks like which I assume would do spruce instead if we ran a VOC which could be useful but for this let’s just go ahead and

Keep it simple so there is a pattern with four oak planks so I made a crafter he realistic that right here so this is a little bit different as far as I understand it if you just want the system to carafe something all you have

To do is just stick the pattern in here that’s it so in applied energistics you would need the interface with the patterning of touching the molecular assembler the interface would put the item in the molecular assembler that would do the crafting and then it spit it back into

The interface and then you get it so this is like a single block at least that’s why my understanding is so if we go in here and we do plank stick these out and we tell it to craft that’s it so it’s a single block solution which is

Really cool a lot more simplified so we can fill this up it looks like full of nine different items you can put speed up craze in here as well so craft faster and then once you need more than nine items you just make more crafters seems

Pretty simple to me I like it so I’m gonna go ahead and start crafting up or I guess start making some patterns of some things that we’re definitely gonna want like make a pattern for patterns that’s one of the most common items I think we’re gonna be making a lot of I’m

Probably gonna want to make a pattern for making the crafters although the crafter itself you have to do in the solder er so we might look at doing some kind of a crafter work and eject the items into the solder er I believe this face right here let me pull this item

Out I believe that face right there’s a little dot on it is the one that has to face towards a machine yeah it looks kind of like a piston almost like that’s the front of it and that’s the back of it so this would push the items into

Whatever machine to do the processing and then I guess you could use an interface from that machine back to the system I don’t know if it can eject back into the crafter I haven’t read that I haven’t read a lot of stuff with this mod so tight still kind of

Learning him anyway probably what we want to do then is have the crafter facing the machine like this and then have a pattern in their word eject the three different items we need into the solder ER and then the solder er we’re gonna need a way get the Anas back out

Of here and into the system so i’ll have to figure that out alright guys well I think I finally got the auto crafting completely 100% understood it’s not that difficult at first it seemed like it was gonna be a little difficult but no it’s really not so I made myself a bunch of

These crafters here yeah they all are pretty much empty but I want to have plenty of space available for all of our patterns that we’re gonna be meeting so we have the pattern grid here that we saw the force we can include anything that we want the refine storage system

To auto craft internally yeah and then there’s turns out there’s actually this processing pattern encoder so you can do things like this where you put in printed silicon redstone and the advanced processor I don’t know if they have to be in any specific order or whatever but anyway these three items in

A row like this is telling the system that that can create an advanced processor so yeah we can create those automatically now which is pretty cool so this crafter right here I have pointed to the solder ER and below the solder let me go and break this real

Quick we have an importer so with import bus essentially so yeah anything that this thing crafts it gets sucked into the system through the importer here which does not have any filters does not have any upgrades yeah so they get sucked right into the system so this

Will output all the materials and needs for all the different types of processors this will craft it you get sucked in the system it’s pretty cool so if I tell the system that I want to make well I don’t know let’s say we had a bunch of these different processors here

Let me do display craftable x’ only I don’t think there’s a way I can tell this thing to Kraft unless I have all the items out of here so let me tell to make one advanced processor we do start you can see everything here that’s gonna

Need so needs one silicon a diamond and a redstone and then all the other things that’s using to craft that so we click start if we look on this thing you see there’s a diamond and imported it there’s a silicon and then all three items get put

In here it gets made eventually someday there it is then the crafting is completed so that’s pretty cool so I also made a crafting monitor here and I believe this tells you all the different stages of everything that needs to craft let’s tell it to make another one this processors real quick

Let’s click over here so yeah it kind of shows you an itemized list of everything that it needs to process in order to craft this thing which is really awesome I do like this that’s something that applied energistics never really had it kind of showed you all the things that

Are in the system that’s going to craft and what’s currently crafting but kind of like color coding it but this is really awesome I like the way that’s laid out obviously you know just processing some of these processors through this isn’t very involved if we had something that required like you

Know 50 steps order to craft that would be very very handy so anyway we have all that done so we can do a crafter here show you guys this so it requires all of these different things so it’s gonna do a construction core a destruction core I

Have those other ones over here by the way so it knows how to make like I guess the Machine casing these different cores there’s the pattern for the crafter itself and then some of the other things we already did in the quartz enriched iron there so that’s pretty cool so if

We tell it to make your crafter just start you can kind of see like a lot of this stuff processing again which is pretty neat I like that and that should be done and it’s all done cool what pro-1 crafter OOP there we go so yeah

Now we got all this stuff hooked up the wall it’s kind of getting filled out a little bit better I like it I’m curious so with all those things how much power are we using now is say 116 RS per tick so it’s not free it does come with the

Cost and I think every one of these yeah so we could do like only work with a redstone signal for instance all the ones that we aren’t currently using that have no patterns in there we could go and turn some of those off and save some power should we choose to

I don’t know how necessary that actually is though like I said we have a lot of power that we’re able to be make that we’re making and that can be used so I don’t know how much it really matters to save a little bit of power like that but

That’s something you can do yeah so let’s set these back to ignore cool yeah so processing pattern encoding is a completely separate block which is different than the applied energistics so you don’t just make the pattern grid this makes all the internal crafting stuff the processing pattern encoder

Makes patterns that will be ejected into another machine that does the processing for you so that’s just something to take it a new tough but anyway guys I think that’s gonna do it for today it looks like my Elektra wings have gone the transparent again again I don’t know
