Mechanism-Powered Elevator
To create an elevator powered by mechanisms, start by digging a trench with dimensions of 3×5 and a depth of four blocks. On one side, place a sticky piston and any block on top of it. Then, move one block away from this setup and place obsidian. On top of the obsidian, place two slime blocks. Next, place an observer on top of the slime blocks, facing upwards. Attach a sticky piston to the observer, and on top of this piston, place four slime blocks. Attach another sticky piston to these slime blocks, and on top of it, place an observer facing upwards. Finally, place a block and redstone dust on the first sticky piston, and cover the entire setup. Place a button and build columns as high as you want. On the fourth block, place any block and a regular piston, and connect it with redstone. Place a button on it. Your elevator is now ready to use!
Water-Powered Elevator
To create a water-powered elevator, start by building a tube using any building block. Open gates on the sides of the tube and replace the ground block with soul sand. Fill each individual block with water. Repeat this process to create another tube. Open the gates, replace the ground block with magma blocks, and fill each block with water. You can decorate the tubes with walls and balconies. To go up, simply enter the tube with soul sand, and to go down, enter the tube with magma blocks. The water will quickly transport you to your desired location.
