Minecraft Survival Let’s Play – Jungle Tree House!!! – Ep. 01 [Minecraft 1.17 Survival Let’s Play]

What is going on ladies and gentlemen it is killer drone and welcome back to some more minecraft here in a brand new minecraft let’s play in the latest update minecraft 1.17 and you guys know what that means we have ourselves a brand new world with brand new possibilities

So without further ado ladies and gentlemen let’s go ahead and let’s jump right into it and some of you guys may be asking yourself killa why are you starting a brand new world whenever you weren’t very far in your otherworld well you’ll notice that on the channel those

Videos are actually privated now you’re not gonna be able to see those videos and that’s because well that series didn’t exactly go to plan for me at all and a lot of that is because i wasn’t able to stay super consistent when i was recording those videos i was

In college at the time as well as i had a job that really took way more time than it needed to and i just wasn’t able to give my all into making content on that world but that is going to be very different now because i

Am done with college i have more time on my hands and that means more minecraft videos for you guys aren’t you excited i tell you one thing i am super excited i’m also pretty excited with this spawn because i don’t think i’ve ever played a spawn world where i’m

In a jungle so i’m kind of excited for this maybe we’ll uh maybe we’ll actually set up a base here and it also looks like we have ourself a mountain don’t we have goats now yes yes we do have goats now how are you doing little buddy [Laughter]

So i actually know nothing about the 1.17 update for the most part so i really don’t know how to like tame these guys or if you can tame these guys but i do know that if you make them mad they will knock you

All the way back to tim buck too so i am not going to make this guy angry but i do just kind of i just kind of want to look at him i just kind of want to watch you dude hey hey i’m watching you you don’t watch

Me you don’t watch me this guy’s this guy’s looking sketch already he’s he’s yeah he’s looking sketch all right so a brand new world you guys know the drill we need to go ahead and make ourselves a crafting table and i’m probably going to save this crafting table so that we can

Make a monument or something like that to it later on in the series but let’s go ahead and get ourselves some sticks and then i get ourselves a wooden pickaxe right off the start and i think i’m going to go ahead and make myself a wooden sword as well because

These piggies right here they’ve been looking at me funny and they definitely need to go so that i have myself a nice little food source here at the beginning come here piggy i need you come here no don’t you run from me piggy come here come here oh man i tell you

One thing the jungle is very very hard to get around if we are going to live here we’re def are you spying on me go away goat go away if we’re gonna live in the jungle we’re definitely going to need to uh to clear this area out a little bit but

I gotta say i’m kind of excited about this i think that having a little jungle area here for a little while could be really cool in fact maybe we could make ourselves like a little jungle tree house or something like that that could be really cool i’ve never

Made one of those in minecraft before that i can remember so maybe like a little jungle tree house or a jungle village maybe i guess maybe i’m thinking too big already but there we go we got ourselves our first pieces of stone we definitely need to get a furnace going here

Fairly quickly on the bright side i did see a fair amount of coal on the surface so hopefully we won’t have to uh you know be too scared of the first night if we get ourselves a nice little torch perimeter set up all right so going ahead and

Upgrading to a stone pickaxe immediately and then getting ourselves a stone shovel and then i tell you what we’re just gonna go ahead and get all stone tools we’re gonna go ahead and get ourselves an axe and then last but not least we are going to get ourselves a stone

Sword because night is a falling seems like that nighttime cycle uh went really quick i don’t know what happened but definitely feels like we went through that very very fast also all of the ores in minecraft got a texture update as well which is kind of cool to see i we’ve had

Basically the same textures in minecraft for a long long time so having some new textures i don’t know it’s going to take a little bit of getting used to but i do think that i like them i do think that i like them i think they

Look pretty cool they look a lot more in line with what the actual drop is so like the lump of coal here definitely looks a lot more like a lump of coal in the actual ore as well so i definitely like it i think it’s a cool little touch that they added here

And uh i don’t know i’m excited for it i don’t know what everything looks like i don’t know like what redstone looks like or anything like that now but i do know that they all got a update all right so i’ve made myself a pretty small perimeter of torches here

Not a whole lot of resources but uh this will definitely do for now i wanted to save some torches though so that we could go down into the mines and actually see if i can find myself some good resources like iron and such so i’m gonna go ahead i’m gonna head down

Into the mines themselves and hopefully we’ll end up in a cave because i want to see if the cave generation has changed at all in this update i don’t think that it has i’m pretty sure that all of that is not coming until the december caves and cliffs update

But even if just like the ore changes you know made something different that’d be cool to see so i definitely want to go caving here like right now i want to find a cave and that is something that is new we have ourselves a brand new iron ore texture

I like the way that this one looks too to be honest with you a whole lot better a whole lot more i guess actually rocky looking than the old texture the old texture was kind of straight lines and i didn’t really like it a whole lot it never looked like iron

To me but we’re also now getting raw iron rather than the iron chunks that we used to get like the iron blocks now whenever you mine without silk touch you will get raw iron and raw iron can be smelted just like the old iron could and it will give you the iron ingots

That you can use to make things but basically all that this means is that iron ore can now be fortune which makes it pretty useful to go mining now whereas used to setting up an iron farm was a necessity now with fortune you can you know kind of bypass going in

Doing an iron farm if you want to and just go mining for a little bit i don’t know i kind of like this idea i like the idea of i don’t have to set up an iron farm if i don’t want to because i mean to be honest with you as

A builder i do a lot of mining anyway so i get a ton of iron ore and now that it can be fortuned as well that’s just gonna be really nice for me i’m gonna have a blast clearing out areas once again all right and this is something else that is new

I’m assuming that this is the new copper ore block if i had to guess let’s go ahead and mine it and looks like i can’t actually mine it with stone so lucky for me i am actually already smelting up some iron so hopefully i’ll be able to pick it up with that

But i’m assuming that that is copper ore that we just ran into so copper is a new building block i don’t know that it’s used for anything else but i believe it’s just like uh like blocks that you can use for building and they will actually rust so

Let’s go ahead and head back down here and let’s see if we can pick some of this up and see what we get also i don’t like this whole bunking my head the entire time that we’re going down the stairs but oh well let’s go ahead and grab all of this up

And let’s see what this is ah that is not the copper that is gold that looks i don’t know that almost looks like popcorn that looks like really really buttery popcorn to me i don’t know okay is this copper what is this this is copper okay so this orangey blue looking stuff

Is actually our new copper ore dude i don’t know that i like the new texture for gold i’m not gonna lie to you that’s you know they used to joke that gold was called butter right some of the old minecraft youtubers but uh that definitely looks a whole lot

More like butter than it used to goodness it’s kind of it’s kind of slimy looking also it looks like we have reached down to the new deep slate i believe is what this uh block is called let’s see yeah deep slate cobbled deep slate that is going to be a really really nice

Block to build with and i’m glad that they added another blackish grayish block into minecraft it’s one of those things that i always felt like we really didn’t have enough of them and then in the last couple of updates we’ve really been getting quite a lot more neutral block colors and i

Definitely definitely like that because it makes building a whole lot easier whenever you have something that you can use as a neutral palette okay so i’m definitely hearing some water and some enderman so i think that i must be close to a cave somewhere so i’m going to dig around in some

Random directions and see if i can’t find this water aha there’s some gold and there’s a cave hello uh oh i hear you mr enderbutt where are you at hello i see you hello i i don’t want to look at you but you were a huge help in me finding this cave so

Thank you for that make sure we don’t have any ninja creepers up here all right we’re gonna take this very slowly first off iron definitely need the iron and i should probably mark my way out in some way probably just a ton of torches yeah just oh okay i updated the water

I wanted to just lay down a ton of torches that way i knew my way out but looks like that may be a bit of an issue how about we lay down a bit of cobblestone like that and now just cover this area with torches that way i know

Hey this is my exit so if i get lost i should be able to find the exit pretty easily but let’s go ahead and let’s go through this cave and it definitely doesn’t look like the cave gin has changed at all it looks like it’s mostly just

The new oars which is fine i’m okay with that new ores and deep slate i can work with this as a builder and it looks like we’ve gotten a little bit lucky already and we have found our first little bit of redstone so i think we’ve seen

Pretty much every ore except for emerald and diamond now right so i don’t know if those have gotten texture updates i would assume so but those are two that we still have not seen yet so i’m gonna keep mining and hopefully by the end of today’s episode

We will have seen all of them okay so i am still exploring that cave but i have run out of food so i think i’m gonna go ahead and get myself geared up real quick and some full iron armor and then head on to the surface and see if we can do a

Little bit of hunting at night because yeah we can’t exactly explore caves if we don’t have any food at all in fact i think it’s probably a good idea for us to go ahead and upgrade our sword to an iron one as well and you know what let’s head up to the

Top and let’s just see what type of trouble we can get into i wonder if goats i doubt that they drop any food but it may be a good idea to kill one of them just to see what they drop i don’t know maybe that’s a bad idea because those

Things i know do a ton of knock back so maybe it’s not a good idea but let’s see if we can at least find some type of animal that we can kill i kind of want to kill the goat i’m not going to lie i just want to know if they drop anything

I’m going to leave you alone for now goat but i may be back to kill you later today well i don’t know if i got that on camera but there’s my first death oh i was gonna say that i just found some sheep so we could sleep through the night now but um

Yeah i guess it i guess it doesn’t matter now oh man okay can we get back to our stuff easily enough oh man that guy completely completely caught me off guard okay where’s all my stuff is it down it’s down here somewhere right i don’t even remember where i was

There’s my xp i see my xp okay we should be able to get my stuff back pretty easily and hopefully that creeper didn’t kill the uh the sheep because i would definitely like to make some shears real quick and skip the night goodness that dude oh i did not see that coming

Oh am i out of iron i think i may be out of iron unless it fell somewhere oh no did i lose my iron oh no i may have lost all of my iron i think i had like two things didn’t i oh i don’t remember i really don’t

Remember okay let’s go ahead and let’s just kill the kill the cow make sure that we get ourselves some leather as well as some food and i may just have to come back down here in order to shear these sheep because yeah i don’t have any iron okay

Man that was a terrible first death that really was is the iron in the water somewhere no i must have just not had any on me okay also just found some melons on the side of the mountain so hopefully we can make ourselves a melon farm here in the future i don’t

Know how useful it’s going to be other than for trading with villagers but i’d rather have these things than have to go out and explore for them later so i’m gonna go ahead and pick these guys up and i’ll probably just put them in a chest for now

All right i got myself some shears now i just need to make my way back down to the sheep and hopefully not die this time and we should get enough wool for us to make ourself a bed there we go other sheep can i go ahead and cheer you thank you very much

Okay that’s enough for a bed but it looks like it’s about to become daytime so we’ll just be able to set our spawn we won’t be able to sleep but that’s okay that’s okay as long as we have a bed and we’ll be able to sleep for the next night

I am happy also i still really need some food alrighty so i’m just out exploring a bit and collecting up some bamboo so that we have some scaffolding and i just have one of these ideas that i cannot shake that whole jungle treehouse idea is something that i don’t think i’ve ever done

In minecraft and it’s one of those things that i don’t know i can’t shake it now i really want to build this whole jungle treehouse village type thing so right now i’m collecting up some bamboo and just kind of seeing what’s in our surroundings and i’ve actually collected up a fair

Amount of stuff right now so bamboo obviously that way we can make some scaffolding to very easily make this tree house but i’ve also found myself some sugar cane some eggs that way we can make an automatic chicken cooker at some point i killed myself a zombie villager and he

Dropped me his head as well as a potato so a couple of things that are uh things that we would have had to go and look for but i’ve just kind of found here while i’m exploring for some more bamboo and i have 64 plus 16 bamboo i probably want

A little bit more and then we’ll head back to the base but i also need to definitely uh collect up some jungle wood and probably some regular oak wood just as a detail block for this tree house oh man i actually forgot i need string in order to make scaffolding

Oh that was dumb oh well i guess i can go ahead and head down into the caves for a little while i need to do some caving anyway so maybe while we’re down there we’ll actually find some spiders and uh we’ll get a little bit of string i can’t

Believe i forgot that that’s two let’s plays in a row that i’ve forgotten that i need string for scaffolding hey another new block that is some glow lichen now i’m wondering it does not act like vines does okay let’s go ahead and just shear it off and collect it up and we’ll

Go ahead and get the one on the other side as well that is a nice new detail block though i am happy we found some of that i’m not entirely sure how we grow more of it if we can just bone meal it or what but either way still a very nice find

Down here uh one thing that i don’t know is i have not seen any diamonds whatsoever yet and i know that i’ve been near diamond level i’m not right now i’m at y level of 20 but i’ve been around diamond level quite a bit and i have not seen

Any diamonds so i’m wondering if they’ve changed the generation on them or what is going on because normally i’ve i would feel like i should have seen something by now right i don’t know i don’t know everything’s weird everything’s weird now well i guess now diamond is the only ore

That we have not seen hello there emerald very first emerald of the season not bad i still have not found any diamonds though okay hi there i hear you mr mr very angry zombie hello you want to come and see me where’s your friend mr spider i need some string

No no friend mr spider okay and that my friends is another 1.17 new block this is the drip stone man we are finding absolutely everything right here in this very first episode that is drip stone found now it doesn’t look like we have a lot of it here but

I mean something is better than nothing i guess so you know what i will take it and let’s go ahead and just get ourselves some cobble out and stop this water real quick like thank you very much let’s continue this way and see if we can find more drip stone

Or something that would be really nice we’re up to y level 34 so i definitely need to go back down in order to find some diamonds but oh man this cave just keeps going doesn’t it just keeps going well that’s not diamonds either but i will definitely take it

Lapis is always nice for enchanting well i found myself all kinds of stuff this time i found myself a pretty large ravine here as well as one of those new little creatures i think they’re called axolotls axels i don’t know how to say their name to be honest with you but that guy

He’s kind of weird looking but that’s not all that i found i also just found our first diamonds they’re a little bit hard to get to but i think i can manage hopefully as long as nothing like comes and knocks me off this edge that i’m about to make we should

Theoretically be completely fine and so should the diamonds now i don’t know if we’re gonna get any more out of these but that’s okay and it looks like we got five diamonds that is enough for a diamond pickaxe as well as an enchantment table so that

Is not a bad find at all however i still have yet to find a single spider in this world not a single spider at all so yeah i don’t know maybe i’ll take a look down this ravine see if there’s like a mine shaft that connects into it

And if so maybe we can deal with some cave spiders i mean i don’t really like that idea but i don’t really have a better one right now either and it looks like we found a glow squid as well that’s kind of cool but there is not a

Mine shaft that connects up to this area so i don’t think we’re gonna get lucky with any spiders or anything like that so i’m gonna see if i can make my way back out go ahead and get these diamonds in a chest and yeah we’ll just have to

You know build with dirt or something for right now because spiders are not exactly all over the place down here i guess i could stay up at one night and hunt on the surface that probably wouldn’t be a bad idea we could at least find a couple of spiders that way

Alrighty so after a successful night of hunting spiders i should now have enough scaffolding for us to work in the jungle to make ourselves a starting house obviously we’re gonna need more scaffolding than this as we do larger and larger projects but for today’s episode this should be fine however

I don’t really like being here on the edge of the jungle i think if i’m going to do this jungle treehouse idea justice i really need to go deeper into the jungle where there’s more of these big trees close together that we can kind of connect up so i think i’m going to

Walk in that direction and see if we can’t find some thicker jungle and i’m probably going to leave most of my materials here for right now and i’ll come back and get them later once i have some storage and stuff like that set up at the new area but i’m

Definitely going to go ahead and take this bed because i do not want to be building in the middle of the night but i think i should have enough materials on hand to just get started with this base i have myself some oak wood i have myself a fair amount of jungle

Logs plus we’re gonna have to clear out an area around the jungle tree that we pick out as well so i think we should be fine here let’s go ahead and let’s find ourselves a good tree so as you can see we are much much deeper in the jungle now all we have

Is jungle all around us but i did find this nice little river that cuts through the center of the jungle and to be honest with you i just really like the thought of having like little rope bridges down on the ground as well as in the air connecting up our

Jungle village so i think this is a really really cool spot and maybe we can put our starter base right here in this tree and then connect up to this tree later and then this tree later and then that tree and just kind of have our jungle village

Wind in between and in and out of this jungle all overhead i think that would be so cool so i think that this tree is a perfect candidate for our starter base i may end up taking down some of these other trees and replacing them with some that we grow on

Our own but for right now i really like this tree i think that this is a good option let’s just get to building we need to make a starter base all right so after a little while i now have a giant platform added to our tree and i guess we have about nine

Or so blocks to work with here in order to actually put in a house however we don’t have a lot of space outward from the tree i actually came out about nine blocks and anything bigger than that and it kind of looks like the tree wouldn’t be able to support it so nine

Blocks is kind of the biggest we can go without it looking funny and even then we’re probably going to have to add some type of support structures underneath the tree as well to make it look decent but anyway i want to get a house in here but i also want to have

Kind of a ring porch all the way around so like a a nice area where we can walk around and we can connect bridges up to the corners or to this direction or however we need to do it we can connect bridges up pretty easily so i really want to have a

Walkway around this area which doesn’t give us a ton of room to work with uh all things considered so i guess we can do like one two three maybe four blocks so let’s say that let’s go ahead and get out some oak logs let’s go ahead and say that like here

Would be the inside of our build so like inside of here that would give us one two three blocks on the outside that wouldn’t be bad and that would give us four blocks on the inside could that could that work okay let’s just go something like this i’m probably going

To swap out all of this wood for stripped oak as well just because i think that’ll look a little bit better one two three four something a bit like this and then one two three four something like this and then we’ll just have to make another circle inside like this one two

Three four like that and now how am i going to do the circle on the outside if we go ahead and do something like this how can we connect the corners up uh maybe something like this this and that okay well that’s just a straight diagonal that’s that’s just a straight diagonal

That’s nothing special should we maybe do it like this instead then should we do it uh hmm you know i’m not real sure i think like that i think that’s going to give us a nice uh a nice area for a little bit bigger of a

Window so i think i’m going to go that that way with this so let’s go two out like this and then there there and then two out like that it kind of gives us a corner here but i think that’s gonna allow us to do a little bit more

With detailing so you know what i’m gonna leave it like that and we’ll see how this comes out and after a very very long time the build is now complete and honestly this build ended up being a lot harder than i thought it was going to be i

Thought a treehouse that should be pretty nice and simple but actually it’s a lot more difficult than it looks to build in uh proportions to these tree probably the hardest part was actually this roof line the roof i didn’t want to do like a circular roof because it just

Looked a little bit too plain so i really wanted to go with a design that looked a bit more tribal like something that you know kind of whatever tribe lives here in the jungle kind of threw together on top of the building and i think that it came out looking

Pretty good i do have shaders on right now so the world may look a little bit different but that’s okay because i really like viewing my builds in shaders let’s go ahead and head up to the top and let’s take a look at the inside of

The build as well because i do have a small interior inside of this guy got all of our essentials got our bed got some chests got some furnaces more chests more chest another furnace overall to be honest with you i really like how this build came out it definitely has that tribal feel

Kind of like a peaceful jungle tribe that uh made a house up here i don’t know i really like it and i think it came out looking pretty pretty good i also did have to expand let’s see if i can make this jump yeah kabloosh i did actually have to expand the canopy

Of the jungle tree itself as well because whenever oh wow it gets really dark with shaders doesn’t it hello welcome light um i did have to expand the canopy of the jungle itself or of this jungle tree itself because it just wasn’t big enough

For this big of a house so i expanded it fluffed it up a little bit on the underneath as well as on top i may work on the top a little bit more in the future because i’m still not completely happy with it but overall

I think that it came out okay and it kind of looks like i don’t know this kind of looks like a hobbit house almost just stuck up in a tree one thing that i would like your guys’s feedback on though is the underneath of the platform i added in some supports here with

Fences and i think that looks really nice the only problem with underneath here is the ladder i think that the ladder is just a bit too slow to get in and out of my base with so i would like another solution that’s faster and hopefully something that looks a little

Bit better too than just ladders going all the way to them to the ground but i thought about doing like a spiral staircase going all the way up the trunk of the tree and going to the inside of the build the problem with that is that i get kind

Of dizzy going up spiral staircases that are that long so i’m not entirely sure if that’s the direction that i want to go or if you guys have other ideas of how we could get from the bottom to the inside of the tree i don’t know

If you guys have any ideas let me know if not i’ll have to come up with a solution but for right now we just have a ladder going down and uh just some support structures i may change this up though i really i’m not liking the underside as much as

I like the build i do and we can totally connect up more platforms to other trees and we can get a village going here pretty quick
