Minecraft Tutorial Guide: Minecraft Potions Brewing.

Hello and welcome to minecraft i am mr leafy and i’m about to teach you how to do some basic potions most of the potions are doing is just easy peasy it’s quite getting ingredients not hard at all uh we’re gonna head to my lab over there and um

Yeah we’re gonna head to the lab in a minute uh i’m not sweating on that no i agree right let’s try it again and we’re off right that’s more like it right we are going to head to my lab over here and we’ll start teaching you how to make the potions

A lot of people wonder about potions i did start anyway so we are going to start by explaining how potions work these are your brewing stands as you can see i have four got a nice setup in here this is my lab welcome first off you need to make your potion

Stand which is just cobblestone and a fire on as you can see here there are blazers my plug is a blaze rod blaze rod need a blaze rod and three cobblestone and you shall make this stand first off we are going to start by getting our water

In my lab i have my own personal water supply here that’s why it’s in the middle of the ocean constant supply water it’s great so all you need for these potions are a water bottle that’s your base for all potions and when you put a water bottle on this

Stand which we have over here we are going to now make it into an awkward potion which is the base to most of these potions that i’m making and brewing for you so the awkward potion is made easily by having a netherwart is the main potion making ingredients you’ll need this to always

Make your awkward potion so let’s get that cracking as you can see there’s another warts here’s my water bottles it does take a while to kind of brew so we’ll we’ll show you how it takes to brew first the next time we do them we’ll

Skip it for you this is a lot easier much easier and in a second we will have our awkward potion there you go that’s your netherwart and water bottles and that makes your nuts here and we’ll start making our potions poor potions are require the actual base of the

Awkward potion apart from the winx potion which is just a fermented spider eye in the water and that is it gets your weakness potion we’ll show that on last as you can see it is not on my wall displays these are all potions apart from one

Yes i haven’t made that one yet i’m about to make it today i’m going to show you all how to make it but first off on our potions list we are going to make this one here that’s night vision right night vision potion quite a simple one to make for night vision potion

You need the awkward potions base and then you need a golden carrot all on carrot is is just a normal carrot put with loads of golden nuggets i’ll show you all my display here go on carrot all gone carrot is is a basic i got a carrot in the middle surrounded by lots

And lots of golden nuggets and that will make your golden carrot this is the base for the night vision potion and for the invisibility potion so we’ll start by making a potion for you so here’s our golden carrot first off we have our awkward potions as you can see and to power these

Lovely brewing stations we will need blazing powder blazing powder is made from the blaze rod really so blaze powder is put into your fueling system here and i’ll power for about 20 potions so let’s get cracking with this night vision potion there we go and we’re back

As you can see with the golden carrot and the orca potion we have now made a night vision potion but this is the base night vision potion you can improve it by adding stone powder which is mainly the extension ingredient mainly for these ingredients of these potions so all you need

Is one redstone powder put your dust in there and we’ll brew it away again as you can see the night vision potion is at three minutes a minute so when you add the redstone dust you will then increase that to the eight minutes mark which is

A lot better for your night vision you get to last longer let’s see more and you almost last a whole night and there we go as you can see we are now have our night vision potion and it has now got eight minutes of lasting time that is basically the night vision potion

Back next potion is the invisibility potion as you can see with the potion it just makes you invisible for eight minutes really it’s exactly the same as your night vision but to make the invisibility potion you need previously a night vision potion i need to add to it a fermented spider

Eye which i’m going to show you how to make now all you need is one spider eye one brown mushroom and one sugar and this is the basin you’re eating it for as you see fermented diet here we are now have our fermented spider eye this is the

Ingredient you need to make invisibility potion so all you need first is your night vision potion as your base then you add and as you see the night vision potion is now turned to my visibility potion with the fermented spider eye and this potion is very useful when

You’re actually in the nether no one can see it you can run around on invisible and normal body at all it is brilliant actually i’ll store these in my storage box i have plenty of potions i like to keep it nicely topped up and that is how you make the invisibility potion

Our next potion on the list is a very important one when you’re going to never and that is the fire resistance potion very simple to make again all you need is your awkward potion which we have right here ready brood and all you need for a ignore all their groaning i have some

Zombies outside i think oh my goodness i do uh okay i’ll leave that right they can’t and it’s locked haha right okay to make the viruses potion you will need magma cream which is this one here so need one of them and you might combine this with your awkward potion

Which will then will increase and make better with our redstone dust again so grab one and one right here and we’ll jump straight back in as you can see magma cream is a brewing and we should then have the viruses potion this potion is very useful in the nether

Because mainly fire creatures in there so have this on nothing harms you and even if you fall in the lava you’re perfectly fine to get for a swim even if you want to or not it’s up to you before you get don’t get hurt so we’re going to extend this fire

Potion by adding the redstone dust again which will increase the potion from three minutes to eight minutes again and as you see we have now increased the three minutes viruses to eight minutes fire resistance brilliances makes it really easy makes it last longer and you can run straight through another unscathed

And well save yourself from misery big time so i’ll add this to my other potions that is the fire resistance potion next potion which i do not have on display because i’ve not proved it yet but you’re about to see how it’s brewed and that is the potion of leaping

I’m gonna kill these monsters because they are doing my noggin in be right back [Applause] and i’m dead darn it as you can see i made my floor to amethyst it’s sort of nice to run random why not play bay music why brewing as right can see i’m going to start with our

Leaping potion which is an awkward potion base and what we need is a rabbit foot i will be showing in other videos how best to farm all the ingredients for these different potions how to make traps how to just make farming equipment make it a lot easier to get what you need

So we’ll start brewing our leaping potion which is a awkward potion base and the rabbit foot and as you can see we are now have our leaping potion there is actually two outcomes on this one you can improve it by decreasing the time and making a leap in twice as much

Or you just increase it to the normal eight minutes i prefer to do the jumping increase because you get them a lot further less time but you jump further to get the leaping potion strike two or not the leap potion plus you need glow steering dust instead of your redstone dust

You add this to your potion as you can see it is three minutes jump leaping potion we’ll add our glowstone dust to it and this will decrease the time to about quite a lot really but you get a lot more leaping distances a lot more useful

To get around faster when you want to try and escape and we’ll see you shortly it’s now leaving potion two but we’ll have one minute 30 left of it but that is what we needed that is the looping potion and the next potion is the swiftness potion which is the one up here

So i’ll put the rest of my leaping potions away now i’ve got the one on display all right next one we need is the there we go we have the swiftness potion stiffness potion is merely just an awkward potion with sugar in it nice gel sugar it will just make you go hyper

It’s figures swiftness yep you go fast once you drink this thing so to make a swiftness potion all you need is your base awkward potion again and then you add your sugar to it and now we’re back and we have our swiftness potion which is three minutes as usual

The swiftness potion also has the two outcomes you can have the swiftness potion plus we have swiftness potion two swimming potion two makes you run twice as fast for less time but the swiftness potion plus just makes you run does for a lot more time so you got eight minutes instead three minutes

But we’re gonna make the strike two one instead or the mark two one which will decrease the time to a minute and a half but you’ll be moving at quite a rate so you can get round pretty quick and as you see our time has now been

Halved but our speed has now been doubled that is your swiftness potion two which just makes you run twice as fast and it’s very very useful as you see don’t want to wear my hand a minute is the potion of swiftness mark two no not mark two plus which gives it a speed

Same speed twenty percent speed increase but you get it eight minutes but the one with this brood is the potion swiftness speed two which half the time to one minute 30 but you’re moving at 40 speed rate which is a heck of a lot more useful so put his potion back

There we go our next potion here is the water breathing potion this is very useful if you want to go exploring in oceans i’ve used it multiple times and it just helps a heck of a lot but now from our bottles i’m gonna bring some bottles first so we will be back

And with the power of camera trickery i’m now back and i’ve got plenty of bowls let’s fill some of these up as you can see i have my water supply here that should be enough hopefully let’s throw these up with water there we go put the rest of these bottles in here so

I don’t forget anymore like um don’t no no we’d have to keep doing it no we get it okay let’s carry on next one then we are going to make the water in potion so we need our awkward potion base as we were we’re making the waterproofing potion as

They’re all blurring i’ll show you how to do it what we need what you need for waterproofing potion which is very useful as i said for water exploration you need some puffer fish puff fish are very easy to catch if you’re fishing you’ll catch them quite often

But i’ll show you how to catch them in another video oh like i said i’ll show you how to get all the ingredients for all these recipes and all these portions in another video so you can learn where to get them how best to get them to survive the most as well

Right so now we have our awkward potion as the base and we add above fish to it right as you can see now we have nagatara water to bring the potion i say it’s three minutes so after you get the score get the drift now you need your red dust redstone dust

Just to make it last your eight minutes so crack on that and then we will have our water breathing potion at eight minutes instead of three and there we have our ward potion our water breathing potion is now at eight minutes very useful very helpful when you want to visit the oceans

Put that back on the shelf and we’ll put that in the box here make it easier right our next potion then we’re going to teach is the healing potion feeling potion requires you to have a glistening melon glistening melons are easily made you just get a slice of melon you add the

Gold to it like the carrot and you end up with a glistening melon so add the glistening melon to our usual awkward potion healing potion can also be made into harming potion as well which i will be showing on this one and then we have the poison potion also can make homemade potion

Both these we will show you how to do but first we are doing the helium one with heating there’s only one extension to it and that is the doubling the power of it which means you need your glowstone dust but this time we are going to add gum powder to it as well

Because healing potions as you can see here is actually a splash damage one they’re a lot more useful when they’re a splash potion because just chuckle the floor heal yourself instantly so we have now got our base healing potion not a splash one will now make that a rank two peeling potion

As you see now we are now got instant health tube we are now going to make it into a splash potion which means you chuckle the floor you heal yourself instantly instead of trying to drink it and being killed at the same time not very useful so we add the gum powder

To it gum powder makes any well any base potion into a splash potion and if you want to go one more step further you can try and get some dragon breath which is very hard to get and you most likely die trying to get it and that makes a lingering potion which is

Like splash potion but it lingers around a bit which heals you a bit longer i’ve not made a lingering potion yet because i’ve not got the dragon breath yet because i do all my potions along my levels in survival so as you’ll see now everything i’m doing is actually still in survival

I’ve done a heck of a lot of survival and i’m keeping to it and we’ll put these potions away the potions away from this i’ll put the healing potions in out of the way so that is the helio potions just make sure you make it a splash potion

Next potion we have is the harming potion which as i’ve explained harmon potion is very useful point to arrows you have your harmony arrows which do a heck of a lot more damage to people so to make a harmon potion you need healing potion again so the glistening melon the redstone dust and

No wait not redstone we need the glowstone my apologies and then what you need after that one is a fermented eye these are three the things you need to make the harming potion so we’ll go to this one over here and we’re about to use our glistening melon again with our awkward potion

As you can see we now have our healing potion so now i’m going to make that a rank 2 hilly potion we now have our rank two healing potion well i’m gonna change this into a rank two harmon potion which all you need is the fermented spider eye

And this will make your lovingly good healing potion which will help you big time into a harming one instead which is useful against zombies and overworld monsters but if you’re really clever use the healing potions on the nether monsters because it hurts them not heals them

Which we’ll show you how to do later on in these videos and then we have we have our portion of harming it’s instant damage too so we’ll now put this one away with my harming weaponry potions and i’ll put it back on the shelf next potion we’ve got is the poison

Poison can also be changed into the harmon potion just for the cement to die again we have here we have our awkward potion again and all you need to add to this is just a spider eye and that’ll make you poison as you can see there we go

We have our awkward potion and we have a spider eye this will make your poison and to make the poison better there is the two versions here you can have the glowstone dust which means it rank two or you can use a redstone dwarf to make it a plus

Plus means it lasts longer the rank 2 does more damage so we’ll stick with the blowstone typical it had to thunderstorm one tried in my video all these obstructions say never mind right we now have our poison so we’re gonna add the glowstone dust to it and this will make our poison

Rank two typical we have invaders now we have thunderstorm can’t catch a break never mind and we have our potion of poison rank two put that back on our shelf and we’ll put this poison away so so far we’ve got all our useful potions

So we’ll get on to the next one which is the regeneration potion all right let’s potion the regeneration potion is not too hard to get just the ingredients hard to get because you’ve got a killer ghast but for the next potion we’re making it is the regimentation potion as i’ve said

So we’ll set up as our stand get some water in bottles first all right i’ll get water like saying it’s useful to live on the ocean because your infinite amount of water usually stands over here got more time to him right as we always start with our water potions

And to get our awkward potion the usual netherwart so we’ll get these two both awkward potions ready and then we’ll show the regeneration potion which is made with just a gas steer which i say is quite hard to get the ingredients out but i’ll show

You how to get them in the next videos and then we want to extend it like we have the other other potions so we’ll put a redstone dust with it as well now our water’s ready let’s crack on with this refrigeration potion so we’ll put the gas tear in

Regeneration potion is very useful potion actually heals you over time so it is very useful if you’re in a sticky situation it regenerates your health over time so what i do is extend the actual power because there’s two versions again you can get the regeneration plus or get regeneration too

Regeneration to increase the wall we get more health from the the retardation portion or regeneration plus which extends which kind of the same amount so add our redstone dust to this to make our regeneration potion plus as you can see now i’ve extended the actual tiles from 45 seconds to two

Minutes a heck of a lot more useful in a sticky situation again attack below the people the refrigeration potion which is this one here all right next potion we’re going to learn is the strength potion very good if you want to attack loads and loads of mobs

You can see here the strength potion they increase your strength and increase your attack power really so if you’re not mobs coming towards you the strength potion will help you with that major league because it will help you straight and give me a lot stronger so all we need for the

Strength potion is just the open one as you can see it fuels it as well but we want it in that one this time so this will make the strength potion and the strength potion as the other ones are it has the plus and it has the stage two

I personally stage two because it makes your head a lot stronger and it doesn’t last as long but you can do a lot more damage in a shorter time period which is more useful in burst so for that one we need the glowstone dust so i’ll get close to industry for us

And we’ll make this into the strength position two and there we go the potion strength will decrease the woman at half but you will get two attack damage instead which if you got a lot of mobs coming towards you you can kill them off quicker and we’ll save you time

And get yourself back to safety very good against enderman because it takes down their health a lot faster and as you can now see we have now got the portion of strength number two which will last a minute and a half that is all the main assistant potions that we can actually make

There’s only one more potion we can make and that is the weakness potion but all you need the weakness potion is your three bottles of water let’s put these on here yes we’ll place one and with this one all we need is the fermented spy dry so we’ll make ourselves a spider eye

Again one right here ready made but friend of spade dry to remind you all is the brown mushroom the spider eye and the sugar that makes just fermented spider eye so we’ll put it into water and this will make our weakness potion with the weakness potion it’s only useful when you’re converting dead

Village well undead villagers to normal villages because you use this weakness potion and then you give them a golden apple and then you bring them back to life and they’re very very useful because they reduce the price for everything and you get a heck of a lot more stuff a lot

Quicker with them i always revive my uh villagers because you just get so much better more out of them as you can see now we have now got the personal weakness and then what we’ll do is going to add the gum powder to it as i explained

Before the gum powder makes potions into splash potions this potion is the best to be a splash potion really because it’s only got one use that’s to weaken the villagers and bring that to life again so let’s put the gunpowder back in and we’ll make our weakness potion splash And as you can now see we have now got the splash potion of weakness which is what you need to convert yeah zombie villagers and that is basically all of our oceans i know really unless they want anybody else knows please comment below i’ll love to learn more potions
