Hey guys what’s up it’s Joe Croft and welcome back to another minecraft related video I was going to do a video on the rise of the Kings server just a little bit of a progress update but the server is down now so I’ll just go ahead And do this quick tutorial on how to create a nice tropical island on world painter now first things first I do have six custom brushes that I do giveaway and if you do want them all you have to do is go to my channel and on the top Right corner you’ll find my email and just send me an email requesting the Lee custom brushes and I’ll go ahead and send them to you in my free time now the reason why I’m doing this tutorial video again is simply because I deleted the old one but anyway that’s not a problem We’re going to go straight to file new world to get started name your world anything you like which Groening it YouTube and we’re gonna select the dimensions 1024 by 896 turn down the hill height to about fifteen and lower the level to at least 45 and keep the water level to minecraft Default of 60 to minecraft seed ocean and randomize it if you so wish and then click create and that’s going to create a perfect square to get you started off with so what we’re going to do now is create a basic outline for the island using our flatten tool but first thing We’re going to raise a mountain just a very very small touch until you see some land if you just zoom in we’re going to grab our flatten tool and then we’re going to click and create a flat surface for our outline zoom back out and also You want to do view show 3d view and then lock that in place by clicking this symbol now you can see exactly what you’re doing so all you have to do is continue with the flatten tool until you get a nice shape for your island just be As spontaneous as you like I’m not gonna make the island too big because I just want to cover some of the basics so this should be just fine what we’re going to do now is make some mountain landscape so zoom in and make sure you see everything there we go and we’re Going to grab our peak tool that is one of my custom brushes that I will send to you if you ask for them by sending me an e-mail like mention before then we’re going to grab the height tool and we’re just going to raise a peak for our Volcano just going to have it right in the middle and just click and raise and then scroll in with your mouse wheel until you reach the center that’s going to create a huge peak and that is not a problem because we’re going to go ahead and get rid of that straightaway by Grabbing our circular tool we’re going to remove the top of this peak and create our volcano just continue this until it removes the peak and that should create a nice volcano shape so what we’re going to do now is grab one of the custom brushes and just create a Base for the mountain and just raise the landscape a little bit we don’t want to make it too perfect so just be as spontaneous as you like and then just grab some other mountain brushes and just get some more intensity going remember scrolling inwards makes the Mountains a lot more peaky so just um be as rough as you can as you can see it’s starting to create some nice shapes so as you can see I’ve used all my custom brushes to create an array of mountains I go around almost the entire Island you need to be as spontaneous as you can and just make sure that all joined up in a spontaneous way as as best as I can explain it but we’re going to do now is just add some extra landscape so we’re going to grab our Peak tool once again and using the right mouse click we’re just going to create some pots of water here and possibly here just some added effects and then we’re going to create a beach line we’re going to be really careful with this we’re going to grab our flatten tool Grab any brush you like and just go around the entire edge flattening out just like this so now it’s starting to look a lot more like an island we’re going to add some extra detail to the beach line so we’re going to grab our cracks brush and then Click on our height tool increase the intensity to about max and then we’re going to go somewhere along the beach and just right click once to create this effect we’re going to do this about three times so one two and then three maybe a little bit more over here then We’re going to go to our smooth tool and with our high intensity brush just remove the effects from the water and then once you’ve done that we’re going to lower the intensity to about three bars and then click about three times where you originally place the cracks that should remove the bumpy Effect but still keep some of the cracks so once you’ve done that we’re going to carefully go to terrain and click on our base and just go around the entire edge of the island with a high intensity brush to create a beach just like this so once you’re done with that you should End up with a beach line that goes around the entire island and this is almost practically complete we’re just going to finish off by adding some extra detail first thing you want to do is go over to terrain and click on bare stone and then click one of the circular Brushes not too much intensity and click on the top of the volcano just like this because we don’t want grass for the top of the volcano stone is going to look a lot better then we’re going to click on our drain oh sorry sponge tool and then Left click in the center of the volcano and actually remove all of the water then we’re going to click on the lava tool and just fill up the volcano or as much flour as you like now we’re also going to go ahead and add some extra detail to the mountains by clicking our Noise brush selecting our bare stone and with about 50% intensity and just left clicking on the top of the mountains just an added terrain effect now we’re going to go ahead and go to edit and make sure you have custom biomes enabled then we’re going to click on the biomes Tab select jungle and cover the entire map with the jungle biome now this isn’t this isn’t going to add any trees it’s just basically going to paint the terrain as well as the sky so make sure you’ve done that so now finally to finish off we’re going to add some extra Detail to the biomes and just select the noise brush with about thirty percent intensity using the desert biome and just left-click on the map and that should basically remove the consistency of the jungle and have some different colors affect the landscape it’s going to look a lot nicer once exported and Then once you’ve done that just add some jungle trees like I’ve already done as you can see and basically avoid the beach because they will spawn on sand and go with about 20 percent consistency for the mountains because that is going to avoid spawning trees but it’s going To add a couple of bushes so once you’ve done that all you have to do is go to file export and export as a Minecraft map and we’re going to go for a border of water using the level 62 and you can add a border size of as much water as You like you don’t want to reach the normal mine Christine – laughs – you we’re going to enable caverns and we’re also going to have resources so once you’ve done that all you have to do is make sure that everything is okay just make sure you have all the settings that You would like it’s pretty much all set self-explanatory so it shouldn’t be too difficult we’re going to have creative mode so that we can fly around and then we’re going to click on export right guys so here we are on the final product and I did do this as quickly as I can so a few things might not be perfect so what I’m going to do is I’m going to put the world’s painter file up for download you can go ahead and edit this map as much as you like or use it as reference I’ve also put my email in The description below if you want those custom brushes so I hope this tutorial was helpful and if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below so
