For for a silver tier patron is a like a floating island of sorts so we don’t really have any lore surrounding that that’s not something that we’ve really done so far not saying it can’t be done but it’s a little different so um I

Think what I want to do is I want found a spot here and what I like about this spot is this is not far off the the path like mine my sort of underground path is over there I should actually show you let me shrink down in here and see okay

So you see my path it’s over there so what I’d like about this is what I think I’m gonna do is I’m going to make a floating island here oh let’s see if I can possibly get back up here where I was and then I’m gonna so I’m gonna

Start the island maybe and I wanted to be fairly tall but then I’m gonna make a crater underneath it a small crater nothing likes excuse me nothing like white sands no way not again we’ve done that I don’t know maybe he reach for the bottom of it I think this seems good

Okay so let’s go I don’t have any smooth stone yet so all I need to do actually I need to make a sort of a landing platform so I can get back up here because then I want to take down this pillar and just take a look at how this

Is so I think you probably stick that okay let’s take this down and then we’ll see from the from the ground if this is gonna be a good location for a floating island so you know you kind of like we talked about with it with the Jaqueline farm which is still work-in-progress and

Other other things yeah I don’t want to have just a floating island like why would an island float that’s weird it doesn’t make sense but it could float if you factor in like the frost druids magic right that’s a big that’s an absolute thing we have not worked out

Really what the frost druid magic is going to be yet oh I think it’s a really good height for a I think is really good height so what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna start at the bottom and I’m gonna build sort of a cone coming up and then build up into

The out into the the outline of the of the island and then I’m gonna come back up and I’ll do some like sort of sort of hang down things so let me go get a bunch of smooth stone I’m going to need to do this build and then come back and

For me I just I just died and I spawned well up here again and I thought maybe if I had full health and I just felt from the very lowest point that I could I could survive but I can’t I can’t so uh what I’m gonna have to do

Unfortunately is this to get my stuff back is I’m gonna have to break my bed and I’m gonna have to take the plunge and I’m gonna have to fall and I’m gonna have to okay apparently I put my bed back in the exact same place it was

Of one of these floating islands is basically just the top of a mountain right so the way I would do a mountain I would just try to is random an interesting shape of a framework as I can and then then just like fill in the blanks right then just fill in the gaps

Between so yeah you know it’s been it’s been a fun process to lay that out unfortunately I have died well several times quite a few times I’ve shaved off like four or four times I think so far doing this not counting the one that I

Just did on purpose just to get back to here oops wrong way on this one so yeah so it’s kind of a drag it’s kind of a drag too all what I need to do is all the times I have done this I have not really thought

About putting water down or something so I can do this so yeah anyway anyway but the thing is going well and I do like the shape so here’s the shape that I have worked out I guess I need to back up just a little bit so you can see it

And yeah I think the location is good now I have some plans I kind of picked a spot a little bit away from stuff because I’m gonna be filling up a lot of this stuff with stuff so it’s not just gonna be a floating island like we

Talked about before you know we floating island would make sense on its own we’re gonna do some icy stuff that’s gonna make this make a lot of sense but that all being said I need to do sort of the the framework of the island first and

Then we’re gonna add the sort of the extraneous stuff we’re probably not going to do the up on top the library it’s gonna be a library up there and that’s where it gonna be where I put the comment of the day so I think it should

Be really I think it should be really good what I go can I learn a lesson yeah I think I probably could learn to us and here’s what we’re gonna do although well mmm I can’t pick that up well I could if I do this oh my goodness

Angle I find this is kind of the most important part and some of these need to go up too just to mix it up it can’t all be one or it looks really kind of wacky why I was just a wonky and wacky at the same time I twisted up just go something

Along these lines and start give me a flat top don’t worry about that I’ll go to almost night down I could sleep this is a really severe Ridge will flatten all that out well actually this is this gonna be mostly hollowed to be honest so

And YouTube situation and everything you know I’m still kind of maybe I’m still like kind of old school where you know when you’re watching TV you know some shows I feel a thing there’s a term there’s a trope term for it and someone smarter than me would actually remember

For the most part at the end of every episode everything is status quo on the ship like nothing has really fundamentally changed you know and that’s the way TV used to be and there’s a lot of shows like that still of course I’m blanking on it right now but you

Know I mean like status quo shows like you could watch essentially and I’m not saying there are exceptions but essentially in any order and and it would not really change the overall storyline right sitcoms are largely that way you know it doesn’t matter what a were you watch say Seinfeld in because

For the most part outside of maybe George’s girlfriend or something like that for the most part it’s gonna be just fine like nothing nothing major change at the end of every episode you’re back to the beginning of the next episode right that’s the way almost in

Some ways I look at these Let’s Plays is is okay it’s the end of the episode so I need to have I need to have everything every project finish that I’m currently on and you know you want to show the final build and all that kind of stuff

But the way TV is now is it is a lot less episodic or it’s a lot less episodic and more serial right meaning that if you miss an episode of say well I’m gonna go back if you missed an episode of say Buffy the Vampire Slayer

In the later seasons which was at the time one of my absolute favorite shows which I know has a silly name and it looks a little dated now but if you’ve never watched Buffy ignore the name and just give it a chance because it is real

Out again oh I don’t get is really really good but regardless if you if you watch if you miss an episode say up to say season six of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and you come in after the episode you were gonna be really really behind like you’ll be really confused on

What the heck is even going on so that’s the way I should probably look at this is a little bit more cereal and a little bit less episodic right so if I don’t get done with this island today like on like really obviously I’m not going to

Get done with this island today then I just need to be like okay next episode we’ll just pick up right here because that is I think that’s gonna be easier for my brain and it easier for grind time to like I won’t have to accomplish anything because I

So really really small and I’m so really small now but I mean like really small like you know only a couple hundred subscribers and only a couple dozen views on videos which is fine there’s nothing wrong with that at all I’m not bashing but my my footprint was small so

If I put our video saying hey I’m looking for new members well like only a couple dozen people saw it you know and that sort of is was the problem so luckily I formed some friendships over the last year will be up to that point over the last year with

A Jersey boy mini and then that led that’s what how I meant how I met pride ser tops and and and just just other people too and that really helped a lot because once people know you then they sort of you can kind of vouch like oh I

Don’t know this guy but he’s friends with you know he’s friends with mythical sausage so he’s cool right I mean that’s that’s how I didn’t know I didn’t know a few of the few of the new guys but sausage near them so that’s good enough

For me right I mean so I think that uh kind of how do you keep them how do you okay so when people move on then you have to replace them that in a world like this you just gotta keep you just gotta keep rolling there’s not really a

Choice you don’t really get to choose unless you’re gonna let it die or just carry on single-player you know and I had said many times I’m totally willing to go out the single player I’ve no problem with it if that’s if that’s the way it is like if I if people aren’t

Interested in this concept that’s cool I am still so even if I’m playing by myself I’m still into it no problem the other question is the other part of the question it may be the more relevant and more loaded question and more difficult question certainly is how do

You keep people interested in a world like that and I I’ll tell you that I’ll tell you to fly it off the truth that’s something I think about and and kind of worried about not really worried that’s probably overstating it a bit but that’s something I think about what you know

You can go two ways in a world like this when you’re me who like own to the world technically but I have tried so desperately hard to make this not about me it’s not my world it’s not you know I mean I I pay the bills right I keep the

Way that I’ve sort of taken to doing it which is like hey I trust you you’re here if I didn’t trust you you wouldn’t be here go go go build stuff that you think is cool right everyone here everyone here has their own single-player world and

I’m gonna talk about that in just a moment everyone here has their own single-player world so I’ve gotten to watch their own artistic creativity right I’m not gonna say that that is well actually not everyone that I know of SCI and Mar don’t but they came from

BD so I got to watch firsthand them build in like essentially this world right so so I I guess I shouldn’t say everyone but I think all the other guys everyone else does so or like mantis has been playing on on servers one just a very much like this called world of

Odium who actually started that Oh in that world and so you know so I guess I shouldn’t say everyone there are exceptions but but you understand the exceptions are people who have done this kind of thing before right so how do I keep people interested I you know they’re here they’re building something

I think by me being heavily involved in just playing I think really helps and I tend to be out build large-scale I say as I’m building this huge freaking floating island I tend to build lower scale and I think that that can be inspiring I also think at the same point

That can also be I don’t hold on I want to back up I don’t mean it’s very like wow fix is so great I want to be more like him I don’t mean that my egos not that insane I mean more like inspiring like you see it and you’re like oh I

Want to go build something else I wanna I want to go build a big Church I wanna whatever that kind thing right so yeah just ahead just to clarify that my egos not wildly out of control okay so oh my goodness really already Wow that went through paths cuz I’m holding

All this darn cobble I anticipated doing some texturing but then I changed my mind and decided to do the dirt instead so let’s go get rid of this cobblestone anyway so you know by me being involved and doing stuff that is I feel heavily into the world building side I think

That really helps I think that giving people ideas can help right but not pushing too hard being like hey hey callus there’s this big spot here if you feel if you’re bored go for it or hey Mar there’s there’s this spot here if you if you see anything or hey guys

Someone we could really use a jack-o-lantern farm for example can anyone anyone want to jump in and do that and if you don’t then I’ll do it but you know that that can help keep people sorry cuz it can because if you feel aimless that can kind of give you a

Project right but but then I think the other thing is discord has been a big help Twitter’s a big help because you’re always just sort of there you know and and that that’s a huge help right so I think kind of finding those things can really help and I think bringing in new

Blood you know we started with what I had exactly targeted eight to nine people we started with nine and then I always anticipated after two or three months because whenever you start with nine the realities you’ll have probably of those nine three hardcore players three middle grow players and three

Players who are you know just a little bit too busy to commit deeply and those numbers can be changed a little bit but that’s just a good from having servers for about five years Raziel that’s just sort of what what it’s gonna be right and that’s great there’s nothing wrong with that

And but you know I had always planned on after a few months may then bring in a few more people this is just gonna further energize the group because generally new people are on more than our people have been here for a little while that’s again just a very

Generalization but but can be can can be a can it can be pretty true so yeah a couple of those ideas I think I do think bringing in bring in foot fresh meat is is pretty vital and that’s why we brought in here very recently oblivious Square Mario Mar and silent craft right

Talked before about how I take most of my inspiration not from Minecraft but from my concept art because I don’t want to do something in Minecraft that someone else has done and yeah I know someone someone’s like someone’s done everything right I know I get it

But but I think it’s a little bit more than time to find a piece of art that you really like and then figure out how to do in Minecraft further then find someone in Minecraft and then you just want to copy it or even if you alter it
