Minecraft Bedrock Has SECRET Custom Superflat NOW!

Allow me to show you something crazy this is a custom super flat world made entirely from skulk sensors and Minecraft Bedrock made it itself in the current version no mods no add-ons no custom code this has apparently been secretly possible in Bedrock for quite some time now and so the obvious

Questions are how exactly do I make my own world what else is possible some crazy things and what is the wildest endpoint we can get to with this and the answer to that is of course nuclear Wasteland which I’m going to be trialling after we start with the basics

Here so I first need to start by pointing out that this has been possible on Java for quite some time there is something called the super flat option which you can customize however you like it’s actually quite hard to customize this from within Minecraft you have to

Know how to say instead of wanting grass blocks you want skulk sensor hope you got it right or use some online website and then oh there we go I actually got it and then you can enjoy Minecraft’s noisiest World type to your trip to the heart’s fullest extent what is this as a

Concept however this is using a Java inclusive feature of custom super flats that code has never been ported to bedrock or so we assumed so here I am now playing the Bedrock Edition which you know might be hard to believe besides the fact that everything’s changed visually in this coordinates but

Just in case you’re still not sure that this is bedrock hopefully this does the job as you can see we’re officially playing big salmon Edition and something almost every player has assumed because there’s no option for custom super flat is that the technology for it has just

Not been added this is one of the more complex Java features we’ve probably reasoned and so it’s not here on Bedrock because they just haven’t gone around to adding it there’s so many other Java features they want at first but yet here it is entirely possible in current

Minecraft uh that just to clarify there are no add-ons there are no resource packs if you doubt those things here are the resource packs active none here are the behavior packs active one and just in case you think we made this on Java converted to overall pre-loaded it or

Just placed a bunch of them myself which is very easy to do um the world size is 0.09 megabytes and it starts as 0.01 it is 10 kilobytes or something you can’t fit that many blocks in 10 kilobytes this is just an instruction set telling Minecraft to generate as a super flat

And it wasn’t added there by us it’s in the game by default this is just a world that tells Minecraft to do precisely that and so we can run oh God now it started to activate I was wondering why this didn’t happen before and now I can

See oh only in this area though that’s weird why do skulk sensors work like this are they gonna make a big circle around me I think they are how very very odd anyway so as you can see sculk sensors do some very weird things some very noisy things but at this point you

Might be asking really important questions about this big world of Darkness as my map sees it and you might be asking how exactly do you do this then if Minecraft doesn’t give you a menu to do this yourself how exactly can you make a world full of sculk sensors

Or any other block that you like and the answer is to fiddle with a few settings Minecraft bases a lot of its decisions on how it generates its world based on a simple settings file which you’re editing Whenever you set your default game mode to survival or creative if you

Turn on a starting map or a bonus chest the Minecraft nodes world knows when it’s generating it should have a bonus chest there or a starting map there and most importantly there’s this world type option and by default Minecraft only gives you two options and you assume

That it’s just there’s a flat world type and there’s a regular well type but interestingly both of these options both the regular survival and the flat well type both have a lot of sub options which just aren’t available here in the menu you can alter the world files if

You want to and this is really fun there’s lots of options you’ve got or if you’re not technically minded and let’s be honest most people would like to believe they are but it’s a lot of work to like learn how to do these things instead crack magnet has put together a

Simple website there’s just a few simple boxes that will do it for you so do you want a world that consists entirely of sculk sensors that’s what we did we added some sculk sensors and then hit generate world and it turns that into a game file at MC world that we can

Download but do we want to have above that say a bunch of what’s what’s the weirdest block we could have above it a candle cake no I I feel like we’ve seen that chain command blocks that’s pretty weird what about a whole world that is made from the least useful block in

Minecraft uh The Mangrove Roots I really don’t know why these exist We’ll add those to it and we can even remove the sculk sensor and we could say you know below those Mangrove Roots let’s have some uh Acacia slabs just to keep everything floating up the ground so we

Can then tell the world that we want to prevent slime chunks spawning and then we hit generate and wow it gives us an emcee World file uh which will then have those characteristics applied and again if you want proof that this is actually uh you know the world rather than

Anything else I think the easiest way to show you is that is to open this world right here which takes no time at all because the world size is literally again it’s 10 kilobytes like that’s 10 000 bytes which is 80 000 ones and zeros is the entirety of the world data that

Will make this when you load it up this is gonna be Minecraft’s first time in the world has to literally build the terrain from scratch it’s the same as when you have a new world with just a seat and nothing else and it knows that I wanted Mangrove is this what Mangrove

Roots look like in a super flat honestly they’re kind of appealing when you cover the ground in them oh it’s not the mangrove Roots it’s the acacia below them honestly that’s a good combo though right so uh this is yeah I honestly Mangrove Roots so bad by themselves

Maybe they’re saved by the by the uh The Acacia underneath them I kind of like that but yeah as you can see this is our world it is very very pretty we’ve got so much we can do here but this is a custom super flat world and we’re going

To come back to this option later because did you know you can also use this to customize how a regular Minecraft world Works another really fun Java exclusive option that we’ve just assumed has never been possible on Bedrock is the option to have single biome worlds so this is an entire world

Made up of the mushroom biome and you know at first you might have issues believe in that I mean it might just be that the C feed subscribe or house fire is just really good for a mushroom biome but maybe if I go a few hundred blocks in each Direction you’ll start to

Realize just how cool this really is this is something that actually was made possible for add-on creators to play around with the code is there and you know like all sorts of different things have been built I’ve seen people do all sorts of fun things in theory with it

But the fact that it’s just been here in the game workable for some time you could literally have a whole world made up of mushroom biomes it’s really crazy in my opinion this would be such a good option for Creative Builders who don’t want mobs to spawn but maybe want to be

Playing on normal difficulty so that mobs can spawn unnaturally you know via spawn eggs Etc uh there are all sorts of applications that people can have for building across one of these why doesn’t this exist I mean obviously I think like having the actual biome is probably less

Useful than a mushroom world that’s just my selling on flat but still look at this isn’t this just nuts the answer is yes this is very nuts over a thousand blocks of mushroom biome and it has no sign of letting up also wow purple looks

So cool on maps are anyway so this is something you can do for all sorts of biomes I mean the mushroom biome is one of the best ones but what about an entire world made from the deep dark biome well the answer to that would be

This isn’t this stunning to see in fact one of the most interesting things about this to me has to be the fact that the same kind of bug or feature applies um as the Java Edition does where as you can see looking around the world half of

It seems to be planes or at least it’s grass spawning here there’s skulk and skulk sensors and skull catalysts for the rest of it and they all are functional just to prove they weren’t placed here manually I’ll go jump one of these and wow they function still and

I’m gonna get Darkness effect and hopefully not have the warden spawn actually you know really hopefully not have that spawn but yeah these are all legit oh I can see nothing uh these are all legit uh worlds that are just being created in fact I couldn’t help but be

Curious like well if it works for the skulk uh you know if it works for the deep dark what other biomes does it work for this is Minecraft but it’s made up entirely from the hell biome also known the never wastes as you can see it is

Fully the never right up until the Horizon where we have the normal Minecraft sky it’s very surreal to see this combination together but it’s more surreal to look around an entire world made from nevrang where as you can see it’s not just they replaced the planes

By them with neverak it’s also that the Lakes have been replaced with lava lava with some weird walkways between it some weird transparent wait wait that’s that’s water in between the laugh what there’s like this weird honeycomb pattern in the water uh or in the lava

That is water so I guess it wasn’t quite sure whether to generate like Rivers made from water or lava and so it just did both even more fun here is the fact that if we jump in here you can see something that is very rare on Bedrock because Bedrock has different colored

Waters based on the biome so you get this lovely red tint to the water only if you’re in hell and or they’re never and you have water but who has water in the nether it’s physically impossible it’s one of the coolest exclusives you never get to see in more gameplay but

You do get to see it right here isn’t stunning in fact this is so cool it makes me wonder about the other biomes because the neverwaste is definitely the least interesting never buy them right I mean it’s no warp Forest is it and my God is the warp Forester confusing one

Whoa It’s got the same lava water combination going on there but then the rest of the world as you might expect is Warped in fact it’s filled of mountains in a way the other world wasn’t I wonder if that is something about the biome itself like when it is it designed to be

More mountainous or is this just a a weird Quirk of the seat there there are so many questions that I have but I know I want to explore a world that looks like this isn’t this so intriguing to you how could this not be I think seeing

The never biomes in the other world is so so fascinating and uh yeah the fact that Darkness works it how all of this works is just a mystery but a mystery I’d love to dive into but the bigger mystery at this point you know besides just gawking at weird Worlds by the way

You know one question I had to answer and just in case you’re curious do structures still work here to test I have a desert one biome world and to prove the answer to you yes even in a world that is entirely single biomed structures will still spawn which means

I’m sure if they can do this for single biome worlds they could do this for super flat too everything that exists on Java seems to work just fine here on the Bedrock Edition as you know you know everything is done entirely within the game with the one thing missing being

The UI so why would Minecraft you know like the option to actually do it in the base game why would Minecraft develop all these features and then not add them to the game it seems like insanity right like to have such a high quality set of parity things directly the same as on

Java look it works fully there’s no holes in the sand it’s real terrain down there if you want to see it um it’s a really good question that I want to answer right after I show you the two things I had to do because you know having custom swoop

Flats and custom worlds is really great but in you want to ask questions like well you know if this is so interesting how does it work with two of my favorite world types so one of my favorite things to do with the custom super flat back in

The console days would be to make a world entirely out of sand because as you might know sand has this really fun characteristic where when you break one of it it causes an update to happen and for it to all to fall down so if you have a world purely consisting of sand

All you have to do is break a single block and oh my God that was so much faster than I was expecting oh my God that is the trippiest thing I’ve ever seen but here’s the cool thing about Bedrock if you tried this on Java your world would lag endlessly for a very

Long time and although don’t get me wrong I have no opportunity to actually play this world one of the crazy cool things about this ignoring the cool art that it’s making as we’re dying over and over again is the fact that it won’t actually take very long for the game to

Stabilize and to get back to a normal frame rate I I make jokes about Bedrock lag being better than Java lag all the time this is one of those examples look the world is this level of broken and yet I have a fine frame rate as I fall

Into the sky over and over again but this isn’t the only option we have everyone’s favorite actual option is nuclear Wasteland survival where you have something flammable and something uh you know that burns and so allow me to show you that right now this is definitely going to melt my laptop but

It’s gonna be for a good cause so this is oh it’s already started apparently oh god oh dear Lord this is TNT above a level of lava and uh what happens is the lava causes the TNT to catch fire it’s very wacky isn’t it and then when the

TNT catches fire I think the Lava is also gonna fall through the air probably was a bad position to do that and then the end result is something very very very crazy you know I’m just gonna I’m just gonna punch myself down here I think this is the first thing I’ve done

That has truly gotten Bedrock down to one FPS this is you know really a level of impressive right but what I think will be more impressive is when we break down here real quick because oh look at this it is a sea of flying TNT oh look I got some

For myself and then I tried to swim in lava which was a bad decision some would tell you but yeah let me just uh hop into creative so something fun about this world is if you get away from the explosions everything is fine for a few

Seconds you can see as you run around here things just look absolutely wonderful until all of a sudden oh yeah I don’t think they are I think they they get a lot less than wonderful very very very quickly okay I might have broken Minecraft with

That but now as we load the game back up let’s answer the question uh that I think is clearly on everyone’s mind which is if you can run that in Minecraft so easily just by changing a few world flags if it can literally be done in a python web form then why can

It not be done in the game itself why is it that when I go to create a new world and you know I get past the world templates and everything uh why is it that I don’t see in the advanced World options you know I admit it’s Advanced

It’s not basic why don’t I see instead of just a toggle for flat or not why don’t I see new options come up from Flat why don’t I see a single biome toggle and the easiest answer to this question is because they haven’t designed the UI for it there is no such

Menu there however it’s really weird to develop a whole feature a fully functional one with very few issues this is one of them uh like why is it that they have a fully functioning feature that is just non-accessible to the end user and I would say uh there are three

Main reasons one is because they developed this feature not to be used by the end public but they developed it so that Minecraft Bedrock would be compatible with Minecraft Legacy console a lot of people had worlds they made in Legacy console and the expectation they would work in Bedrock so the idea was

They just slightly altered the flat world structure so it could support these old Legacy console world so you could have a super flat made entirely of bookcases and it would work in the Bedrock Edition and that is something they achieved however that code can just be written with any block in Minecraft

And so it’s not that they’re updating it every update so that skulk sensors are added it is getting cooler and cooler and better and better every update but that’s not because they’re redesigning it it’s just because it’s well coded to cope with any block that could be added

There so that’s the reason why it’s in the game but then the reason is to okay so they didn’t code it for end use but it’s there anyway um the reason they can’t add to the game is because they would have to design a whole new UI menu for it the people who

Are currently designing Minecraft’s menus and have many different goals you know their goals are to make Minecraft look like a more professional girl you know they’re they’re making these new death screens and menu screens they’re very very focused on key targets and if you think why are they spending months

Working on new screens it’s because they have clear metrics to measure themselves by they can see how many people decide to quit after dying all they can see on the menu for example how many people go to the marketplace they they know that 3.5 percent of people go to the

Marketplace when the button looks normal but it’s four percent when it’s colorful like this they know when they add a Marketplace menu to the poor screen no one should think to themselves oh I’ve paused the game better buy something but enough people do that they decided to

Add this anyway and they can track this that’s why you can also go and buy things when you’re in the achievement menu wow I’m looking at achievements right now I sure am feeling good about myself but you know what the best achievement would be is if I click on

This and instead of achieving something I use the best achievement of all as far as you know maybe a big multi uh trillion company is concerned and wow I can actually just buy myself a head that is way cooler than the one I get for the

Achievement and so uh yeah that is the reason number two which is a little bit cynical I’ll admit and so the third reason is ultimately Minecraft Bedrock developers are very busy focusing on adding the newest features to the game from the latest update and so to add it

You know to add this to the game seems like it’s just a UI change but it involves the UI team it involves someone on the coding team to make sure that lots of the bugs are fixed and then it involves a lot of QA time which is

Currently being used to bug test things like armor trips the bug fix things that people are going to be interacting with a lot more than this because ultimately only one percent of players would actually care about this maybe five percent whereas ninety percent of players will at some point experience

The Cherry Grove by him or an armor trim or something of that nature and I really don’t like that explanation I really feel as though Minecraft could and perhaps even should uh focus on adding Niche features like to this this is the game because this would extend gameplay

By so long for some people rather than sloping up in regular new Minecraft world why not try to survive in a never only world or a Soul Sand only black I want to try that in fact I probably will for a stream survive on a super weird
