Phoenix SC – Minecraft | Cursed Images 20 (Beacon Balls)

Cursed minecraft once again episode 20 is upon us and i saw this image on the cursed minecraft media twitter page and they posted a screenshot of a beacon using 3d balls as its base no idea who did this and how it even came to fruition

But i really want to try it out it’s kind of one of the freakiest things i’ve ever seen okay so if you guys have any suggestions once again comment below tweet me or go on i slash phoenix sc and let’s get started so here i have my

Silver ball and i’m going to hold it and start placing them in this formation like so you can see it’s a low resolution bowl um i could have gone a little bit higher but i’m you know i’m going to build a really large beacon base there

So i didn’t want to lag out my computer too much it’s still manageable with this i didn’t think this was possible to begin with but i’m still holding at a solid 57 fps with nine silver balls in here i’m gonna say that word a lot i just realized the word bowl

And you guys are probably gonna make fun of me in the comments here’s my beacon and i’m gonna place it right here and then wait for it boom nice we have this beacon working on these silver balls and i had to texture them to look kind of alright to look at from a

Distance you know if you look at it really closely you can see that there are layers on this sphere and if i turn around here you can see that there’s a seam line that runs from this point on to the underside of the sphere and i had to work on

a little bit just to make sure that i have this nice shading work so it looks kind of nice from a distance but going up close you can see that it obviously the illusion is gone but from a distance there’s obviously some fuzziness going on there okay so

Now it’s already beginning to lag because i didn’t test this out while i was recording i’m missing a ball over here okay so i can place the beacon up here and then lights up once again and this is the next size up and i can once again place it up here

And yeah it’s it’s not really tolerable right click twice um i didn’t really right click twice it just happened uh yeah so it’s not really tolerable at the moment if you go up close but because they’re in block format i think it’s a little better um i’m losing some frames in from a

Distance here but i should show you this angle where it just does not look good at all because i did not apply the shading to the left side it’s really hard to determine which side works best but because the sun’s coming from here it’s obviously not correct because the

Lighting should be on this side but it’s on this side but if you don’t think too hard about it it doesn’t look too bad so there’s one last layering up the back there and i’ve used command blocks to place them because i cannot place them manually so let’s get started

One layer one not too bad a lot of balls over there i don’t even want to count i think i should know the number if i just work it out pretty quickly that’s lay number two so it’s nine by nine then seven by seven five by five three by three

So 81 49 25 9 you can work it out five by five a lot of lag just placing them it shouldn’t be three by three i’m gonna place the beacon up actually no i have to place the beacon manually i didn’t do that the command block there we go and then power up

Nice so there we have it a beacon powered by silver balls if you’re wondering this is obviously not a silver ball this is an iron block so if i just type in actually no i changed it on the length file i went all the way with this one there

Are no command blocks that power this because it’s all self working it’s iron blocks with a beacon on the top and then we have a generated sphere model just placed all the way down here so i don’t know maybe i’m questioning the capabilities of my computer now

Can i make a whole minecraft world using spheres because this doesn’t actually lag me too much what is it 26 fps just staring at this 30 fps so roughly calculating in my head 81 49 so it’s almost about 160 170 iron blocks that are spheres here so if i just
