ProfessorShroom – Minecraft 13w36a Review (1.7) Snapshot – NEW BIOMES!

Hello guys welcome to a brand new series of mine uh you can see from the title that I’m going to be reviewing all the snapshots that come out from now on um see down here we’re into 13 W phase 6A uh and I’m gonna get let’s get straight into it here um

First off I haven’t worked to the world to this new world type Amplified and yeah if you read that’s exactly what it is um make sure we’re in Creative yet basically it just makes everything crazy it’s got all the new biomes in which we will show you um and

It says you need a beefy computer and right here we’re in a redwood biome Redwood forest but I’m this I’m going to show you this later and properly because it’s Amplified and you see that everything is just crazy now I’m not getting any lag actually um I can’t tell any difference but I’m

Sure people with computers that can’t handle this well yeah but it just all magnified basically it looks pretty good uh okay now let’s go into a normal normal rod and apart from the new biomes there are a few new features uh one of them is so you got fishing uh and

I’ll try and show you some here but um you can now catch clownfish and puffer fish I don’t know if you can cook them yet but if we just try and fish here quick apparently you can now catch treasure and junk and I don’t know what that treasure could be

And if there’s new particle effects like bubbles so I caught a a raw salmon I don’t know how many more fish there are because only type of fish but the new particles look really good this game is really get coming along I won’t fish too much because it’s pretty boring

Come on but you can see the fish like some you can’t see them but you can see the splashes uh come on come on it’s not gonna do it now is it okay well uh I can go into food stuff and you could uh so you can get salmon

Puffer fish normal fish clownfish uh excuse me I don’t know what junk you can get um okay but on to the other things there is now you can change the sounds of other so you can change the weather so there’s no light turning particles down anymore you can just change the weather sounds

All the yeah all of this stuff um this would don’t know what it is now and you can’t get into it video settings is the same controls is different um there isn’t going to be a Sprint burn I believe I don’t know if it’s in yet uh

Sprint where he says left control so if I show you that now you got the left control see I’m sprinting I’m not using I can’t really show you can I but I’m you pressing Ctrl now so that is pretty good and now let’s get on to showing you some

Of the new biomes that come with new blocks this one yeah roofed forest and it comes with these wild mushrooms as well as these this is Spruce but it’s like um it’s two by two trees that grow sort of they don’t grow vertical like what would be the Duggar vertical but they grow

Like odd shapely um I think I don’t can’t really tell if there’s a different different color of the grass but you have these are peony all these are all the new flowers you’ve got poppy blue Orchard I’m not gonna attempt to say that not gonna attempt to

Say that either red tulip all different colored tulips um and Daisy uh and then you’ve got the Lilac double tool grass which I’ve seen this in Feed the Beast it is just what it’s what it says double tool grass you’ve also got the large Fern um and stuff thing and then the rose

Bush I don’t know if you can pick this or anything um let’s just turn the sound down a bit geez uh 25 okay large fern yeah it looks pretty nice so now let’s go to the next biome okay guys this is not really a new biome

But Jeb said he was adding cliffs and I thought it was gonna be a completely new buying but it does look like Extreme Hills have been changed because this is extremely as you can see in the biome thing and on my debug screen that’s why I’ve got it up

Um and it’s got this lots of exposed Stone snow which I didn’t have before so Extreme Hills have been changed and I’ve just checked and the treasure items you get while fishing um can include Enchanted fishing rods with looting like enchants name name tags lily pads uh things like that and

The junk items are like broken fishing rods damage leather boots all that type of things um and there is something I’ve noticed I don’t know how far it is but if you watch um I drop from here you see a big splash of dirt I don’t

Know how high you have to be up to do it best thing I’ve noticed like if I do it here let’s see yeah I did it there so there’s a new there’s loads of new particles um okay I’ll bring you back when I find the next new biome alright guys

Um this is another it’s a Tiger Biome but with no snow because now biomes have been added into this temperature sort of thing um uh I’m trying to look up what the temperatures were yeah snowy cold medium and dry slash warm and depending on the temperature I’m guessing it’s going to say somewhere

Around here eventually but depending on the temperature it will snow in the biome and at higher places um so that’s another change which I guess is why in Extreme Hills and now snows this looks really weird what’s this biome this is a lot of gravel seems that they have brought back these

Gravel type of beach things that used to be in the game okay well this is a Savannah Biome um probably one of my favorite additions I really like this um they grow with Oak normal oak trees and you can see it’s got like a desert-like

Um grass if you were to put grass in a desert it’s all about that so I feel and then these jungle wood trees um like curved which is what you see in Savannah like what I don’t know I haven’t seen any nude log types yet I’m guessing they’re going to add new log

Types and these are just placeholders because this is a snapshot but I’m not sure I’m not sure this is a savannah Plateau plate uh Plateau I think is I don’t know what that means I guess it just means it’s high up um and while we’re in this biome there’s

A new new block you have to you can only slash give it so um I think it’s three one uh free one is not a valid number one three one three how would you do damage values then um if I wanted to go whoa

It’s slash is it now slash I I when did they change that I don’t know does does that work ah did it wrong yeah I don’t know how to give it to you but there’s a new dirt block that only be obtained through slash give um

And it has a damage value of one see that’s slash zero I don’t know how to do that damage value of one and grass cannot grow on it same as this block which we’ll see in a redwood forest when I get there I think this is a brand new bomb over

Here so I’m gonna just go over here this I believe I’m gonna be keeping the debunk screen up by the way because it tells me when I’m in New bottom yeah a flower Forest which describes itself it’s got normal trees and then flowers everywhere and this reminds me of

There’s a feed the beast by him like that I’m gonna remind me of that okay I’ll be back in a new bone okay we’re in a swamp plan by him and I don’t know if this is the same for all of it but it seems to have changed a lot

With a lot more marshy looking uh it’s a lot more dirt and there seems to be two different types of grass color um I think it looks a lot better than it did I’m not sure if it’s not for everyone but I’ve only found one swamp but there

Is a witch hat over there um this is neighboring one of the new bombs so um so yeah I’m not I’m not sure if it’s gonna stay like this but I like this a lot more okay guys this is a birch Forest it looks pretty much the same as any other

Forest you’ve seen on normal Minecraft don’t worry this is normal craft it looks like pretty much just a normal Forest except you’re only going to see birch trees so nice a little change there all right we’re not a change you still see the old ones but a nice addition

And another thing on the temperature uh thing I’ve said in previous episodes I would like to see you know you sometimes you have a Tiger Biome next to a rainforest I think that’s silly or a tiger bomb next to a desert a better example um now that won’t happen because a new

Temperature thing means that you can’t have drastic changes between volumes so that’s good and I’ll show you in the next part okay guys this is probably one of my favorite biomes along with the Redwood Forest which I haven’t showed you now as soon as I find it which is really difficult I will

Um this one it comes with a new block packed ice um it looks really it’s like it’s like ice but not see-through I don’t know if it melts I don’t I don’t understand like I don’t know what purpose it’s religious decoration but this is um it’s just covered in

Packed ice and snow but we did them did that particle effect when we landed yeah um so snow blocks and dirt um you’ve got these icicle things no icicles are the ones that droop down I don’t know what he’s called um I really do like this one this is one where

It’d be nice to live in I think it just looks really nice um yep okay I’ll show you the red with rice next okay guys for the final um biome I believe don’t quote me on that you’ve got the new redwoods which is my favorite one um

Probably where I’m gonna live on the Hobbycraft server see it’s a giant uh Spruce at the moment I don’t know if it’s going to say that I don’t know if any of these are going to stay that you’ve got this new puzzle puzzle puzzle um it’s like a new type of grass block

So you’ve got now you have mycelium um grass I’ll show you you know you’ve got these are all free grass types and this can’t think of a grass because I think can’t take over that you know vice versa um and this is the new but I don’t know how to give it the

Damage value so I think if I put it down it’s gonna grow over um but it comes with a new grass the new the new dirt so that you know it can have some dirt bits um you’ve also got these patches of Mossy Cobble don’t know why maybe to show that

It’s like a damp place humid um obviously makes the block a lot lesser rare as well uh and this is a tiger isn’t it yeah it’s tiger so redwood’s over here um it’s got like an extreme Hills type grass but there’s a lot more puzzle than anything else

I just wanted to see if that grass is growing over no it does look like this is it I don’t quite know if you can I don’t think you can get this in survival you have to um you give uh and that is about it um so that’s about that’s it for the

Owner you buy them there are some new features I wanted to show you there’s an improvement to silverfish so I don’t know if we can it do they look different to anyone I don’t know what the Improvement is they might look different I can’t see any differences I I don’t

Know anything about that um there’s an item frame difference as well which I really like so if I put this in there and then if I is it shift or no it’s yep see now instead of like we used to break it at any time frame break yeah now

Um just the item comes out so if I was into fight well let’s go game mode zero um put down there yeah see just a dirt and it’s still on there great change I love that hit it again then you get the M frame um okay

So we’ve done the fishing and the silver fish um that there is a new potion I believe of water breathing uh if I can potion of water yep um it’s made by using you Brewer puffer fish so like I can I can show you that I guess brewing stand um water bottle and

I don’t know if it’s a puffer fish straight off might be uh no it’s um you gotta never wore them oh okay and I will say drink it it’s just like respiration see the uh the bubbles will not why don’t they might decrease I haven’t tested this they either don’t decrease at all

Which it seems like yeah that’s okay so then they’re not decreasing or it’s going to be you’re gonna stay on the water for a very long time um okay um apparently the new silverfish thing is it uh this is pretty done pop this in yep okay um apparently they now form conga line

So let’s get into this they now form a line apparently which it doesn’t seem like they’re doing that I’m not sure that’s what it says it does though maybe they form a line I’m not sure um yeah I’m not sure okay that’s let’s have a look um written books look

So we get two let’s write something in here sign it um yeah GG you need to leave stuff have they hidden in the I don’t know um let’s get across the table outside and turn it back in survival get away cheap um so now I think you can clone them

Yeah so now if I put a broken quill with a written book it’ll make two of it which is really good actually um yep water breathing so that is how you make them um and I think that is it for uh no it’s not it actually

There is one change that I have to shoot uh usually these would only take um items but now you see it doesn’t just take items it takes entities so there’s a lot of um this is a good oh I should have done that there’s a lot

Of things you can do with this like that was bad mistake you yeah someone goes um so it does count as deep as well yeah so I don’t know how many there is to make it more but obviously you could use as an XP farm so say 80 zombies fall

On this it would go a certain amount and then it could suffocate them and make them down to one hit kill which should be good um but that is it for this snapshot so I hope you enjoyed this guys if I missed anything please put them in the comment below
