Yello my friends my name is Forge and welcome to another video so today’s video I’m going to show you how to make custom blocks with the Minecraft Bedrock Edition I’ll be going over three different forms animated blocks custom geometry blocks and regular blocks now if you do want to make your own custom Blocks then I recommend using block bench it makes things so much easier so in order to get started go over the file then you need to go over the plugin and look for the Minecraft block wizard then afterwards if you go over to tools then you will find it within the list then Want to go click on this then you can go ahe and create your own block to begin with we have our display name now when you’re filling out the display name then the identifier will automatically fill out but I do recommend changing the first half now you can also place the Block in a creative category you can either hide the block completely which in this case you can only use commands there’s also the construction tab there’s also the equipment section there’s the item section on the very bottom there’s also nature inde depending on the category you choose you Can also place the block to the group but moving on we have presets which you have a few different presets you can make a stone type block a block that’s unbreakable like Bedrock you got glass blocks glowstone you can make plants wood type blocks or even blocks like Elect turn I haven’t really messed around with this one too much then the have properties you can choose how it rotates so you can make it rotate like a furnace maybe like a piston or a log there’s also the Collision box so you can make it like a full block you can Make it out no Collision make it half a block you can make it the size of a fence wall size of a flower po pod or maybe the size of a carpet and then there’s also the selection box you can also make the block minable if you want To then for the destroy time now let’s say you’re making a stor block well this would be a little bit longer but if you’re making like a plant then you might want to make this a little bit faster which the minimum is zero and the Maximum can be as high as you want so if you’re making like Bedrock then you may want to make this really high you can also make it destructible by explosions so if you don’t want it being destroyed by explosions then you just go turn this off so how strong is it against Explosion then for friction this is how fast an entity moves when it’s on the Block so you can make it like ice or Soul Sand and we can now move on to design you have things like face shading so it’s going to shade the face depending on the direction is facing There’s also ambient occlusion then next up is light emission how much light can the block emit next up is light dampening which is on which light can bounce through the block next up is transparency so if you’re making like a blocker like that then you just going to Keep this on Alpha test but if you’re making a block that’s translucent then you go and choose this one then for no transparency this to be like regular blocks the map color is basically what’s going to show up on the map so what color is the block on the map and Finally is sound so what kind of block do you want to sound like moving on we have loot default loot is basically the block itself but however the custom loot this is really cool so you can add a pool to this and you can add all sorts Of different items and you can even add cust custom items which makes things a lot better you can choose how much and you can choose how much and you can choose how much of the item you get and if you do want to add more items then You just click add item and that’s going to reveal another property which is the probability so what is the likelihood of the block dropping it then finally we have export so you can either export it to a folder you can integrate it into a pack or export it as MC add-on we’re Going to be integrating this into a pack in the an that we made last video that is where this could be placed then go to select integrate into pack then select packs manually then afterwards you need to locate the folder for your Bridge Project stores in my case I put mine in The documents and we have right here so I’m going to select this then select projects then we have our album right here so I’m going to select this then the first thing we need to locate is going to be the behavior pack so I’m going to select your folder then I’m Going to click select folder then afterwards we’re doing the same thing but for our research pack so select folder then afterwards it’s going to show up in the list at BP go ahead and click on next then the packet have been integrated then once to click next again Then we get our block right here now in most cases the block won’t look like this it will look like a stone block but if you do not have the texture then go over the textures and click on import then it should open up the texture folder yet within your Bridge add-on so Goad and click on blocks then your block texture will be right here which as I said before it should look like a St block if you do want Ed DET texture then there is two methods the first method is right clicking the texture then editing in block bench so you can edit the Texture all that you want from right within block bench but however if you want multiple textures but however if you do want a texture on each face then you’re going to have to go and open up your favorite photo editing software so you need to go and right click your Texture and click show in file browser and we have your texture right here I’m going to be using Photoshop in today’s video so I’m going to go up the file and I’m going to click open and then I’m going to locate our texture which which We have right here but I’m going to go back over the file and I’m going to make a new document we’re going to make this 64x 64 pixels so afterwards I’m going to go back over to our texture and I’m just going to copy this and I’m going to past It right inside of here and I’m going to lay this out in a certain pattern the reason why we’re doing this is so that way each of the faces have a different texture so if I wanted each face to have a different color then I’ll do something Like this so I’m going to go ahead and combine all these together and then we’re going to go ahead and save this and we’re going to save it over our other texture and I’m going to click okay now if I were to go back over the block bench then the texture is still Like this so in order to fix this we need to go over to our texture right click it and just click refresh so afterwards we’re going to have to change the size to match one of these different textures so let’s select North then I’m going to change the size of this to Match one of these and this is what our block now looks like we get a safer block but however there is one more thing in block bench you also need to do so go to the file to click on Project and make sure that the seor size is 32 By 32 and we can go back over the bridge and now that we’re ins out of bridge this go and open up our project and you’ll find a folder called blocks then we have block right here but this isn’t what we’re focusing on we’re going to Come over to the side bar then we have compiler so go and click on this then click compile changes and we do this so that way it’ll load inside the game cuz if you do not compile it then it’s not going to transfer over and here we are Within the world so begin with open up your inventory then go over to the section where your block will be located for me I put mine in the construction Tab and we have a block right here and it looks like the texture work properly I made this rotate like a piston does so If I were to look downwards did we get this blue texture on top but if I were look down directly and jump then we get this gray texture and plus I made these extremely explosion resistant so not even creeper can destroy these now there’s also one more thing I like to Show you about the block you can also give it custom geometry cuz this itself is classified as a model and this is going to be a quick example so let’s go and save this go back over the block wrench and compile this and we’re now Back inside of our game and this is our custom block it now looks like a staircase and for the finnal part of today’s video I wanted to go over animated textures there is a few steps you need to take so first off we’re going to go ahead and mark the top and Bottom of the texture just so you know where the edges are and then we’re going to go over the image and we’re going to change the canvas size we’re going to be changing the height to 256 and then this will be what we left with so since we Marked the top and bottom of our texture we know the exact size so we’re just going to go and highlight this and we’re going to move it to the very top then afterwards we’re just going to duplicate this a few times and this should be where your texture now looks like you Also need to make sure that the bottom line matches with the top line then afterwards we’re just going to go ahead and change a few of these colors and this is now going to be our texture so afterwards we’re just going to go and save this and adding back over the block Bench if you were to look in the texture section then you’re going to notice this little tape icon and it’s going to say it’s now animated we also got ourselves a little play section which I am going to click play everything is working properly but we have a few things in Bridge to and first off we need to go over to the resar section and we’re going to head down over the texture then we have result a few files the only file we have to worry about is flipbook textures once I select this then it’s going to be completely empty and right Down here we s’s ad if I were to click on this they we get a few different in first off we have the flip book texture and it’s going to have us choose the texture and along the very top we have our block texture then afterwards we’re Going to choose Alice tile and we’re going to put in the name of our block and there we go then afterwards we’re going to add in frames and you need to input the amount of frames that your texture currently has now for my texture I have four frames so I’m going to be Starting at zero and then moving up to three zero being the first frame and three being the final frame the next up is six for frame a tick is basically seconds of Minecraft so 20 tick would be equivalent to 1 second so if you wanted this to change textures like one frame Per second then you would put in like a 20 but in my case I want this to go a little bit slower so I’m going to make the text per frame about 60 so that’ll be about 3 seconds and I also wanted to blend the frames so I’m going to select The blend frames then I’m going to select true so afterwards go over to compiler to click compile changes and here we are back inside our world and as you can see our block is full animated but however that is that you can make custom blocks within Minecraft bedwar Edition if you guys did enjoy today’s video then please do let me know by leaving a like on it that’ be very much appreciated and don’t forget to all notifications so you don’t miss an upload but for now hope you have a long school day and I will catch you next time goodbye Video Information
