Hey guys, how’s it going? Hopefully good, today we are back in this little old game I like to call Minecraft and I have something pretty cool and hopefully pretty helpful to show you today. So like many people, I’ve been playing around with the new glazed terracotta block, definitely Pretty interesting, probably the most jazzy block Mojang has ever added to the game, but I quite like it it’s pretty cool. One thing I’ve actually noticed with it though is that it’s very difficult sometimes to remember Where the block is going to end up, how it’s going to orient itself when you place it, especially when you’re looking at it from the side angle, like why does it end up like that, it’s kinda confusing and it requires a lot of trial and error placing it back and Forth, unless of course you’re using the pink one which is a bit more obvious because there’s a big arrow on it. So, what I’ve got for you today guys is I’ve created a little tool to assist you, to help you in placing these guys down and it’s called, ‘Terra-Plotta’. So terraplotta comes in the form of a simple resource pack. It’s not a mod or an external tool or anything, it’s just a simple resource pack, but it should prove fairly helpful, so let’s just put this guy on. Now I’ve actually designed this guy in such a way that it should work with any resource pack, so if you’re just using default it should just work fine, but if you’re using a special resource pack, then it should also work fine unless you’re tampering with stuff. [sniggers] But I’m trying to make it future proof, so it should be good unless they change stuff. Alright so let’s check this out and see what it actually does. Okay so let’s check this out, this right here is terraplotta. So you can probably tell quite easily by a simple glance how this works, the general gist of it anyway, so you’ve got these little arrows which will point in a direction, this right here is pointing north, but if we actually place some more of these down, for example We could place one here, or here, or here, you can see that the arrow will change direction depending on their new orientation, which is pretty handy. So this is very, very neat because it helps you tell what direction you need to be facing In order to get a certain texture, for example you see this texture right here. That means you have to be facing north or this way, so if you want to place some like that right next to it, then you’d have to come over here and do it like so, like so, Like so, like so and that indicates what direction you need to do it in and that applies to pretty much all of them. Now you’ll probably notice that it is three dimensional, I was gonna do this two dimensional So that it stuck to the texture itself, but I think 3D is a little more obvious on what direction you need to be facing. So this of course works with all the different terracotta blocks and as I’ve already mentioned It should also work with a custom resource pack if you’re using one which is even better. Now you may have noticed that the arrows keep flashing between different colours, I’ve done this because regardless of what colour you’re using you should always be able to see the Arrow, for example if you’re using the yellow block if it was always yellow it might be a little tricky to make out. If you actually want to disable that flashing you can probably edit it pretty easily just by changing the animation in the resource pack file. But anyway guys that is pretty much all there is to it. It’s pretty simple idea, but hopefully it helps you out when you’re trying to place your terracotta block. The download should be in the description, if you enjoyed this video a like is of course much appreciated, subscribe if you’re not already. Thank you very much for watching and I’ll see you next time. Video Information
