Sjin’s Insane Byzantine Crops and Farms!

Hello my dudes welcome back to Minecraft mine colonies bisontine now it’s getting pretty close the big day is almost here that’s right it’s almost birthday hooray no it’s almost Christmas but it’s also almost my birthday because my birthday is on Christmas Eve anyway this episode what we’re going to be doing is looking

Into the farm and connecting over some bridges across the river so let’s take a look basically yeah these two level three Farms are now level four farms and that’s pretty exciting it means we get an extra field to work with and it means we can finally get all the crops we’re

Going to need to make that Caesar salad amazing now also I’ve thought about bridges across the river previously we didn’t want to put too many because we like the idea of boats sailing down the river and that’s cool and everything but it’s really making our Builders have to

Work by having to walk around even with the tunnel system it’s still taking them way too long so we can add a few more bridges here and there the tall and the short of it is Bridges just look really really really cool and the byzantian pack has some great bridge decorations

So we’re going to put those down too anyway the first thing on our list of things to do is the Caesar salad so let’s jump in so let’s jump in with the to-do list we’re going to say configure the fields that’s important to do number two

We’re going to track down the seeds we need for the Caesar salad number three is going to be set up the restaurant because the assistant Chef is going to need to know how to prepare the food before it becomes a Caesar salad and number four what we’re going to do is

Hire more couriers because we’ve had a lot more Courier buildings go up around the colony and our warehouse is going to lean loads more basically couriers and Ware house capacity really ramps up in requirements you need a lot more space than we kind of have in fact we’re going

To need another warehouse at some point so that’s something to think about and last but not least we’re going to set up the bridges and maybe do a time lapse of those builds there we go oh man okay so close the window and let’s get Kraken configure those

Guess we never built it so where was I yeah so each one of these Farms now can hold another field level four means they get four Fields now we want to make a Caesar salad but we also want to keep the crops we have so this is farmer

Scaba Stony and she’s got garlic here so garlic is one of the seeds we’re going to need we’ve got a farm here but it’s got no seed seeds set at all so we’re going to get rid of this uh what is it sesame seeds because yeah this stuff will really clog up your

Pack and we’ve kind of done the sushi episode already so we’re looking to kind of move on from that yeah there we go lettuce so lettuce garlic and then over here we have what are you olives of course a bantine staple and of course melons over here which we’re going to

Keep because these melon slices make for great compost bait oh now there’s something we can do this guy over here has a red Cog wheel it’s who is it someone the quick and they’re The Beekeeper but I think what we need to do is actually get a bee into this Hive I’m

Not quite sure how we do that but we can work that out in a sec so yeah level four farmer we’ve got 1 2 3 four fields and this one’s going to be empty for now and over here we have some more capacity with the other farmer as well this guy

Can hold four fields and so far they’ve got wheat carrots and potatoes and we have all of those in abundance but but one thing you really do burn through especially later on is wheat because it’s used in so many animal recipes over there like the cows use it to kind of breed and

Stuff plus it’s used for hay bales to get more dudes in the colony so what we’re going to do over here is pick another field to be wheat wait no we’re going to pick the field that’s closer to the farm this one over here yeah this makes more

Sense so boom wheat seeds and now fingers crossed old kingan Bigglesworth is going to get a kraken love to see it hi hello yes all right all right well yeah this is going pretty good so we’ve got the seed set up the fields are ready to go

Now we got to track down the seeds so I’ve got a bit of a shopping list let’s go and see how many emeralds I have in the computer oh yeah okay hello doggo let’s take a look inside the computer and see what we’re packing so we’re not

Going to have any seeds I don’t think that we need but we might as well take a look beetroot infernium Wasabi no yeah none of these are the important ones however the wheat seeds could come in handy so we’re going to toss in the sesame seeds get them out of the way for now and let’s take a look so we’re looking for emeralds and we do actually have five plus the block so

This is kind of what we have saved the emeralds for there’s no point in saving them for a rainy day because this is the rainy day so let’s go over here and pop over the market see if we can buy some seeds from this girl over here oh hello

Emma Emma the wait what are you doing over here your Market is over there maybe some monsters pushed her over here well we actually have to interact with the block and not her that’s fine so here we go we’re looking for lettuce seeds first oh they’re here

Amazing now we can only really afford one of each but that’s all you need to get going lettuce in the bag garlic so something in real life I can’t cook with garlic anymore because my dog dog is horribly allergic to garlic in fact all dogs are same with onions so kind of

Everything I cook these days doesn’t have any garlic or onions and olives there we go the final seed that we need so lettuce garlic and olives so what we got to do is go over to the farm liy split because the sooner the farmers have these seeds the sooner

We’re going to see the crops now another thing you guys mentioned is since we named the construction District after our brave Builder who died Nikki well we’ve got another death we’ve got Jay hooes so why don’t we name the agricultural District after Jay and we’re going to go with the garden of

Hooes there we go now that’s a pretty terrible name so if you guys have any suggestions put them in the comment section right now and I will heart and like the comments and whichever one gets the most thumbs up is the one that’s going to be the new name for the anch Cultural

District so a quick look around the level four farm and it looks pretty cool inside got some nice design blocks here but the main chunk of the building is upstairs and yeah it looks pretty cool up here we got to find Kanan and scaba now and get them these

Seeds well you know what we can just summon scura over here manually so here we go scura no wait wait no no no don’t go away don’t go away oh look she’s got garlic wait where did she get garlic from I didn’t give her that okay well garlic and olives is what

You need but I’m not quite sure how she got that garlic out of my pack bizarre unless she pickpocketed me which could have been what happened and there he is Kanan over here wants the final seed the lettuce so let us begin for there we go so this should work in

The background now to speed things up just a little bit I’m going to go and see if I can grab some bone meal and uh yeah soup up these crops get some more seeds it never makes makes any sense to buy more than one seed with emeralds

Because you can just get more with bone meal once you have the Crop now I might be running low on bone meal actually I’ve been using some to oh my God yeah I’ve got four and no bones to speak of well four should do it’ll get us somewhere at least but yeah I’ll have to kill more skeletons to get some more

Bones so scurby three you’re going to plant some garlic for us now yeah there we go so the first crop has gone down it’s garlic going to hit this once twice Thrice there it is it’s mature and boom we have a bit of Garlic aha now another problem is we’re not going to get garlic seeds unless we teach scura how to make garlic seeds I can’t work yeah yeah you need more garlic seeds and a lot of these crops you need to actually use the fruit to make some more seeds at least I think

That’s how it works anyway that’s why oh my God we can jam like 120 crafting recipes into this Farm now that’s incredible so we’re going to teach other recipe for garlic wait where where’s the garlic did I not pick that up where’d it go wait a minute did you steal my garlic

Scaba okay yeah she’s got it okay cool so we’re going to use the garlic to try and make some more seeds I think that’s going to Work give it a try boom yes so garlic becomes garlic seeds but there’s going to be other recipes she needs as well like for example the lettuce Seeds although the lettuces are mostly for Canan but giving both of the farmers this recipe as well is kind of good going forwards I mean with 120 recipes why not right and the olive seeds as well we’ll Jam wait yeah Jam those in there too

Boom so now she knows how to make all three of those and now let’s zoom over to the farm and do the other one now it’s been a long old time since we’ve had a raid so yeah the sun is looking like it’s setting might be a

Raid tonight boys better get your get your sword ready and so now yeah just teaching the same old recipes to Kanan because he might need them he might not but it’s better to be safe than sorry as I always say so lettuce seeds too boom

Those and loads of the guards actually still need leather armor which is a bit confusing because I can actually make leather armor now I’m not quite sure why they’re not making it yeah cuz nerd over here she’s running around in just leather boots but you could be wearing so much more so either

We have a shortage of leather or the Fletcher isn’t really doing their job properly so let’s take a look we must have loads of leather in here I saw loads before I’m sure we’ll see loads again oh look at this so this is important The Miner now is getting loads

Of blocks of amethyst so we are actually seeing a really expansive mine being built we’ve also got nether pearls in here but look at this wo whoo whoo whoo wo Stacks and stacks and stacks of leather so we definitely have the leather to get going on Armor so why

Isn’t the Fletcher doing it let’s go find out so Zippity dud are off to buy zenine Hills now this is the leather worker I believe slash um Fletcher crafting recipes okay so he has the recipes for all the armor but wait do we actually have a Fletcher yeah Jen Godzilla well get over

What’s made of the Fletcher but yeah something fishy is going on because the guards need armor we have leather and the Fletcher can actually make leather armor but for some reason isn’t now this gu’s walking around in chain mail so the blacksmith is definitely hard at work making those

Recipes oh my God what’s going on here oh it’s another Phantom attack get out of town fool okay I’m going to sleep before we get like a bit of a monster problem going on here but yeah it looks like our Mega torches don’t quite stretch to the far

Ends of the colony the retail district is yeah a dangerous place oh you hit ghosts the tea bag you all right anyway yeah if you guys know why the Fletcher isn’t making the leather armor do let me know because at the moment I can’t think why but that’s

Not what we’re over here for we’re over here really to go and see the restaurant that’s right so we have an assistant Chef now we should be able to make the things required for the Caesar salad so how do we do this let’s see crafting recipes so we’re going to get

Caesar salad up and take a look how do you spell Caesar Cesar there we go so the lettuce the olives and the garlic they’re all Baseline we don’t need to do anything with those to prepare them we do need to make toast and that’s cooking bread in the smelter

So we got to go over here set that to be a smelting recipe oh and it already is that’s great news but we do have to teach them the recipe for Caesar salad in general boom there we go now they know how to combine all of those crops

And the toast but we are going to have to work out how we can get a bowl now double check it’s there yep good to to go so a bowl it’s wood fairly sure than it’s going to be the Sawmill that makes that but a Bowl’s kind of small so it

Might be a Fletcher but here we go oh no no wait look the carpenter yeah yeah there we go the carpenter can turn planks into bowls okay that’s what we need to do let’s go and speak to him here we are Leonard butthole you Legend love the mustache so in here go

To the block make sure he can make bowls crafting recipes teach a recipe it’s a bowl so if I remember rightly it’s just like in a in a vshape boom and then replace that with Spruce good to go so now in theory we should have Caesar salad by the end of

The episode if everybody’s doing their job but it’s a slow burn and we’ll leave them to it now have I got any food on me no I’ve got a bit of garlic but that’s not really going to work is it oh yeah melon slice is

And a warfish halter man wants Cobblestone slabs aha well now that we have the stonemason that’s perfect we can get the Cobblestone slab recipe set up in there so Cobblestone slab pretty simple boom regular Cobblestone don’t mind if I do so yeah let’s get the clipboard out and see what we’ve done

We’ve configured the fields we’ve tracked the seeds we’ve set up the restaurant right yes and now we want to hire a few more couriers let’s go over to the town hall and see exactly how many couriers we can hire now again things are a bit messy

Over here I do still need to come over here and fix the placement of these retaining walls but at this point because it’s almost complete it’s probably easier if I just come over manually with the blocks make them myself and then yeah just do it myself so yeah another thing

Guys I’ve been thinking that we do need a couple more builder Huts two has been great for us for a long time but now we’re needing to upgrade things loads and uh yeah things take so long to upgrade now that we’re not really time- lapsing them and we just want them to go

On in the background like for example getting the hospital up to level three that’s going to take so long I’d rather just let a builder sit on that and do it slowly over time time so building some more builder Huts is going to be a big thing but I think

That’s going to be next episode not this one cuz we’ve already got lots of stuff to do now another thing we’re going to do as well is change worker hiring mode away from manual to automatic cuz what this will do is mean all of the guard towers we put down automatically hire a

Dude and it’s really whoa look there oh my God archers and knights we got our first Archer amazing Shadow Fox long staff he’s no longer the Rat King of the sewer he’s now the Archer King of the streets sniper supreme but yeah setting it to automatic means you automatically fill in those

Night rolls and you don’t have to go around to every single guard Tower and set it to automatic hiring so yeah that’s going to be good and when we build a new building we can just go over there ourselves and manually change whoever gets hired so it’s not really an

Issue so where are we information is it statistics no there we go information oh my God look at this so we can have 6 dudes we need to hire oh my God we need to hire 13 more guards crazy but I’m looking for couriers oh yeah look at this so we’ve got nine

Slots for couriers and currently only five so we’re going to have to go on a massive hiring spree and I’m going to have to see if I can hire absolutely everybody that’s in the tavern oh my God Molly Moo mahogany what a name can I

Help you and 40 books now that we got the leather and the paper super easy to do so take a couple of melons yes and stick around so what I’m going to do is I’m going to go over to my house and fill my backpack with absolutely everything that a colonist could want

When they come and visit and that’s going to save us the trouble of having to go backwards and forwards looking for the extra things so here we go quite the selection I’ve only got 15 diamonds and I’ve only got 11 emeralds but I’ve got loads of lapis loads of nether sunflowers some more

Sun rises all of these guys are going to get instantly hired maybe at least I think that’s how it works no anyway that’s all we can hire for the moment but we can turn on kids will be born just for a little bit just to get a little bit of a colonist

Injection now I’m kind of expecting babies to oh yeah here we oh my God random nerd Dragon wow amazing we got a dragon on the colony but yeah now babies will be born we’re going to probably have a massive population explosion just got to hope

That the river fil us out the weak from the strong and speaking of river that brings us back to another thing on the to-do list so hire more cuers that’ll happen as these guys grow up and yeah hiring is set to automatic now so we’ll have to

See who becomes a courier now something that’s weird is I think when kids are born they sometimes get a middle name Alex slun welcome to the crew so we’re going to find the first spot that we designated for a bridge and see what we can fit here because bridges

Are quite fickle to get into position we’ve got quite a lot of space either side of the bank here so getting a bridge down shouldn’t be too hard but I kind of want to see what the options are so we’re going to climb up onto this tree and take a

Look and let’s take a look so we kind of want span although these bridges are very very big but I think that’s okay yeah you know what it still looks very very very cool okay so with the Builder’s goggles on I should be able to see what the

Bridge is going to look like yeah there we go okay perfect and so now using this as a like kind of like guide point we can line up the ramp up to the bridge but yeah we’ll pull the trigger on this give this to Leo as well because

I think it’s a shorter build than the main Central bit and let’s watch this go up so here we go a very simple build the decoration for the bridge in total is just the main span at the middle and then the ramps that go up to the sides

Are steep ramps I think they kind of connect to the bridge pretty well and once it’s finished this thing is going to look great now I wanted to make sure this was raised up off the water because I do like the idea of at least small

Boats being able to go underneath it but also because there are no real kind of banners or anything or doors or kind of entities attached to this build these builds go up really really really quickly so I’m always pleased to see that happening and it means the next

Bridge that we build should be quick too the materials for this weren’t too tricky a lot of deep slate and a lot of diorite but those are both things we have in abundance so this has been a pretty smooth build okay yeah so a second bridge and

This is in quite a nice place but you know what we could do with some more bridges but all in all I’m prettyy happy with the positioning of this because as the industrial sector gets bigger and likewise the agricultural area this is going to be a really important

Goet plus it also means we could maybe put another insulate over there or over here you know we got loads more room now this is going to open things up loads now there’s Atlas oh man he got the badona Donk actually no Atlas is a

Bit flat on the back not much of a rear on that champ anyway I reckon right here next to Atlas near to the warehouse is another good spot for a bridge we’ got a space here that could reach over that could be a good spot but I think that should be

It as far as Bridges and that gives our guys loads and loads and loads of options for navigating around so let’s see yeah Bridges secure so what does the clipboard say now what are our dudes waiting for oh man still waiting for these shields this armor oh but it looks

Like most of the leather armor has been removed from here oh man yeah we need a real Iron injection over at the warehouse so maybe something I could do is a bit of iron mining to fill up my reserves of iron cuz it looks like we’re going through

That super quickly but yeah over here on information and look at this whoo there’s been a massive children injection 58 of 66 now and let’s take a look yeah 21 guards so we’ve still got room for about like 12 more ah but that’s excellent news looks

Like all of our cier have been hired that’s nine careers total so let’s head on over to the warehouse and make sure they’re all set to work there but yet another thing that we have a problem with even though the warehouse is only level three at the moment it’s

Still really chalk a block full of stuff yeah look at this this is this is so weird so we have armor in the warehouse but it’s not actually going to anybody well maybe our careers are overworked that could be a thing so cers manage workers and we’ll make sure we hire

Absolutely everybody we can to work here over at the warehouse in fact no we can’t ah yeah because the employment is set to automatic it looks like the warehouse is automatically sucking in every Courier it can but this is really good news it means we’re getting as much

As we can out of and into this Warehouse as possible and so before we sign off on this episode a quick look at the fields show us that the crops are looking promising now it’s going to take a long time basically the farmers won start producing any crops until the field is

Absolutely full with all of the spaces for seeds so it’s a big time investment but once we get there we’re going to have loads and loads of Olives loads of lettuce loads of garlic and we’re going to be in a great position to start making some Caesar salads so a massive
