Hello everyone sadly here and welcome back to another episode of bug rock of the week today we’re gonna be taking a look at the dozens of new bug fixes in the newest 1.18 betas everything from small bugs to feature fixes and tons of other things and these updates have been Fixed bug fixes are of course one of the most important things in the development cycle for minecraft and i feel like we should honor that in today’s video well that’s some weird terrain while today’s video is all about new bugs that have been fixed i’ll have another episode releasing shortly on a Bugs that have not been fixed yet so if you’re playing in these 1.18 betas let me know about any bugs or issues that you found on the pinned comment in the comment section down below bug finding and reporting is one of the most important things that the minecraft Community can do when it comes to new updates that are in development it helps to find the bugs of course and make sure the developers are aware of the bugs and it helps prevent those bugs from becoming part of the new update when they are released in full if you’re Interested there’s also a video in the upper right about how to report bugs and everything that you need to know about bug reporting let’s start things off with some nice world generation changes first of all the hodos aka the spiky terracotta things in the badlands biomes now once again generate there’s a bug For a little while where these things were just not generating at all and i think we can all agree these photos are definitely the highlight of the mesa biomes like they are just so cool looking and they offer so many different build opportunities and honestly they’re Just a very unique thing of minecraft as well so i’m glad that they are back and here to stay another generation bug fix regarding the mesa biomes is below y0 you will no longer see these really weird stone pillars that would generate inexplicably for no real reason here’s a Couple screenshots on screen of what they look like kind of an interesting bug but a really fun one to demonstrate is the fact that lightning no longer has a shadow so if we throw a channeling trident on that you can see that we get ourselves a lot of lightning really Quickly and absolutely no shadows on the ground you know i was really hoping that that would burn down the outpost so i’m just gonna help it along a little bit i only have one thing to say for myself we all know that they deserved it we have a Small bug fixer to the warped nelium whenever you bone meal this you can now get these small little nether sprouts which are these ones and the reason why i bring this up is this could actually hurt the rates of our bone meal farms that used warped and helium so Previously if the stuff did not generate that would leave an extra room for another root or another fungi to generate and of course the fungi and the roots are pop off when pushed by a piston however the nether sprouts do not pop off so we might see a small decrease In the rates of our bone meal farms the elytra bug that’s likely been annoying you for months has been fixed and that is the bug where when you deactivate your light shot you are still a single block tall this is rather useful in some situations because it allows you to walk Through a one tall area however your head is then inside of the block and you begin suffocating if you’re in survival overall pretty annoying in a lot of different situations so this bug should no longer happen as of 1.18 they’ve also fixed another bulk of the elytra so as You can see i can now fly into a wall or otherwise to take a damage while flying and it will no longer deactivate the elytra this is especially useful in nether tunnels where if you fly up against the ceiling and take the occasional suffocation damage you will No longer stop flying from that either i would assume overall these two electric bug fixes are super nice to see there’s also been a small bug fix to the woodland mansion previously very rarely you could find an unattainable item in the loot chest it was actually a glow Stick with no texture as you can see from this image here it’s actually a rather interesting thing and it’s not from a creative or education edition so this unobtainable item will be acquirable until 1.18 releases so maybe go explore your woodland mansions and see if you get lucky tropical fish will Once again spawn in the lukewarm oceans so now we have a lot more places to get food for our oxolotls and make oxolotto farms the always day toggle has been added back to the world options menu and i don’t really see why this is here because we also have the do daylight Cycle as well and as soon as you flip one of these they always toggle each other you can’t turn off one without turning the other one on and i’ve found this super pointless and redundant for like four years and i was kind of excited when they removed the always day Option because having two of these just really doesn’t make any sense we got some absolutely huge changes to two coppers it will now drop two to five of the raw copper instead of two to three normally whenever you want to make some of the cut copper you need four Blocks of copper to get four cut copper so it’s a one to one conversion however using a stone cutter one single block of copper will give you four cut coppers now now keep in mind this also applies to slabs as well so you get eight slabs Out of one block of copper that is four times your input and you can get four stairs out of one block of copper as well which is ridiculous i love it why did they add this after i just built an entire castle out of copper Why mojeng why the drop rate of two to five per ore is only for an unfortunate pickaxe however of course the drop rate for fortune 3 has been boosted as well as you can see i just got like nine from that there’s also a few other changes in Beta 118 0 21 however they are basically the exact same changes that we just saw in some of the recent java snapshots that i’ve shown in previous videos so basically all of this stuff right here is now the same between java and bedrock so that’s a good thing actually more Parody is the better probably the most important thing on this entire list for you to know about is that the amount of dungeons below a y level zero has been significantly increased and in case you want to know which snapshots i’m talking about i’m talking about snapshot 21w39a and 21w40a the changes are basically the same between all three of these changelogs there’s been a little bug fixed to the campfire whenever these things are pushed by a piston or blown up with an explosion they will now drop it to a charcoal this has no effect on The soul campfire these guys will always drop one soul soil now something i was not aware of is that if you break a campfire without silk touch you actually get four pieces of charcoal back from that and it only costs a one piece of charcoal to make these things now it’s Actually cheaper to make a campfire and break it if you’re going for charcoal because the three sticks is cheaper than any other fuel that you would need to smelt the three logs to begin with so consider this and next time you’re in need of a little bit of fuel we have a Nice little update for you map makers and creative users the light blocks will now properly survive being blown up by tnt and various explosions previously these things would get dropped off as items and then survival players would be able to collect them but as you can see They are now a blast proof another oceanic change of this update is the fact that glow lichen will no longer generate at the bottom of oceans so previously you could find it sprinkled around in areas like this but those will no longer be generated so glow lichen Will no longer generate in the oceans and it also no longer generates above ground either meaning that the stuff should be limited to just cave systems we have a slight change to these strongholds you’ll no longer find these things it just kind of generated floating midair and the larger caves and Caverns previously if you had like a super large cavern you could find some just kind of hanging out like midair and that should no longer happen we also have a slight tweak to the underwater caves and aquifers they will now be the occasional magma block down there just To aid in exploration and survival i haven’t been able to find any water caves in this world however here is a lovely little screenshot from the bug tracker demonstrating this change there’s been a small but noticeable tweak to village generation the village buildings will now carve less of the Terrain around them which should make for some more natural and a little bit more interesting villages however let’s be honest these things are always going to be a little bit haphazard because to be honest the villagers are kind of silly and they cannot be trusted to build a structurally sound villages can They we have a very nice change for those of you who like to use a fire charges or maybe if you just like playing in the nether aid lot fire charges will no longer get consumed when they are used on things that are already on fire such as a nether portal that’s Already been lit blocks that are already on fire candles that are already lit and candle cakes as well so overall this is a pretty good little change and it should save you a lot of fire charges in the long run an interesting thing about this is you can now click on floating Gravel with a fire charge that’ll update those blocks but not use the fire charge so that’s kind of interesting we have yet another change to the raids and the raid boss bar so now whenever a pillager takes damage the raid bar will actually decrease previously the raid bar would Only decrease when a pillager actually died but as you can see we can now smack these guys and we’ll real time see the amount of progress that we have left in the raid this could be very very helpful if you have like one guy remaining and There’s only a sliver at the very top of the bar you’ll know that guy is super low health we also have a super important bug fixer for villagers these guys will continue to work their schedules even in worlds that are super old previously they would kind of like Give up and just kind of break their schedules but now if you have free roaming villagers they’ll go to bed on time work at their workstations on time and do all the things that they should when they should do them so this is going to help a lot of old worlds as you Might know the 1.1740 main release before bedrock edition has released and this comes with a ton of different bug fixes in it however i’ve actually talked about everything in this because i’ve been covering all the recent betas so if you’ve seen the recent few bug rocks then you’ll know Basically everything that there is to know about this changelog i would recommend updating it’s got a lot of good bug fixes in it i haven’t heard any major complaints from anyone about any new bugs so go ahead and update if you feel like it and furthermore i think This is probably going to be like the very last 1.17 update that we get unless there is a small bug fix or hotfix release like we saw for android a couple of days ago so the next update that we’re getting is most likely going to be 1.18 coming at mid-december so again if You found any new bugs in the 1.18 update then consider leaving them down in the comment section below and i’ll include them in the next episode of bug rock of the week but otherwise that’s gonna do it for today’s episode i hope that you have greatly enjoyed if you Have then consider leaving a like or possibly subscribing it’s the two best ways to help out the video and the channel a ton so thank you so much for doing that and otherwise i’ll see you guys down in the comments and in the next one and then there was silence Video
