The Ultimate Mage Guide *With Progression* (Hypixel Skyblock)

Basically a berserker guide just keep in mind that even if you are not building an rcm build you still use your left clicks and right clicks at the same time to gain extra damage since your left clicks activate your mage beam ability alright so let’s not waste any time and

Jump straight into it for the armor i will be mentioning 9 different armor setups depending on what point of the game you’re in let’s start with the first armor setup wise dragon armor undungenized this armor gives you an okay amount of intelligence and effective hp for new dungeon players the

Reason you use this is because you will be catacomb zero so you won’t be able to use any of the dungeon items so you just use this to get started if you find this a bit expensive or you struggle surviving on early game profile you can also use three-four wise rotten armor

With titanic heavy chest plate which has a catacomb 2 requirement the second armor setup is dark goggles with zombie soldier armor which has a catacomb 9 requirement the dark goggles can be bought from the npc and allows you to do 25 more ability damage to undead mobs

Which is most of the mobs in the dungeons in addition the armor has good amount of hp and defense which can be used for players in catacomb 9 to 13. this is mostly used in lower floors such as floor 2 and 3. although that also depends on the rarity of the armor if

It’s legendary there’s a slight chance it can work in floor 4 until you can obtain a better setup the third armor is adaptive armor which requires floor 3 completion the full set bonus of this armor is that it gives you 2 more armor stats for every catacomb level which

Obviously means it gets better the higher your catacomb level the setup is better than previous one for damage and effective hp however it can be considered expensive for some this setup can withstand floor 4 or 5 depending on your catacomb level the fourth armor is wise dragon armor dungenized which has a

Catacomb 18 requirement the full set bonus reduces the cost of the abilities by 33 and on top of that it provides a lot of intelligence meaning you’ll be dealing more damage since your damage scales with intelligence although it does not provide a lot of effective hp

To survive without a tank if you are comfortable with surviving you can use this or at least some pieces of it to gain mana for damage and speaking of surviving the fifth armor setup is shadow goggles with necromancer lord armor which requires floor 6 completion

This setup is not a mage setup so it does not provide intelligence but it gives you a lot of effective hp allowing you to survive up to floor 6. i do want to mention though that there are alternatives for some of these armor pieces for one you can use the wither

Goggles instead of the shadow goggles if you have caracom 28 which overall gives you more ability damage and intelligence secondly if you cannot afford the necromancer or chest weight you have few alternatives you have either the legendary super heavy chest plate tier 9 perfect chest plate wearable chest plate

Or wise dragon chest plate the super heavy the tier 9 and the werewolf are all tanky while wise dragon is mostly mana based so if you don’t struggle surviving and can afford the damage wise dragon chest plate is the best option moving on to the sixth armor setup which

Is wither goggles with v4 with their armor which requires floor 7 completion this setup is also not for mages but it is a possible temporary setup until you’re able to afford upgrading to storm pieces and still surviving although i want to mention that the necromancer lord leggings and the weather leggings

Have the same amount of effective hp so switching to the weather lagging is only beneficial if you are doing floor 7 since the weather armor reduces the amount of damage you take from withers the 7th setup is wither goggles with golder chest plate and 2 4 storm armor

This setup is pretty much an attempt to even out the damage with the effect of hp with the golder being the tanky part of the setup only use this if you cannot survive with storm and speaking of that the final set is wither goggles with 3-4

Storm armor well do i need to say it this is pretty much the best rcm setup because of how insane the amount of intelligence it gives although you will still be very squishy with this so the only times i would recommend using this is if you have a hyperion or asylum to

Basically kill everything before it kills you before we move to arma reforges i want to mention a bonus armor set which is weather goggles with 3 4 maxer armor maxer armor is also from the wither family and it focuses on speed however this armor is not really a mage

Set but more of a damage set that is worse than necron the reason why i mention is because if you are extremely high catacomb let’s just say catacomb 45 the speed is very beneficial for blood rushing and phase 3 of floor 7 bathroom to stone through the walls especially

Combo’d with a black cat although just remember that you will lose a lot of damage so it is not better than storm just use it if you can afford losing intelligence which is pretty much when you are really high catacomb and that is it for the armor setup just remember

That you are not required to use exactly what i’m showing you you can experiment and see what fits you best anyways what free forges and ultimate inches should i use well for armory forges you put loving on the chest plate and necrotic on everything else but if you cannot

Afford it or don’t meet the mining skill requirement you can either use wise or smart wise is more mana focused than smart but smart gives a bit of defense now for the ultimate enchant you have either wisdom or legion this one comes down to preference legion increases your

Stats and wisdom gives you 5 intelligence for every 5 levels you have legion 5 is better than wisdom 5 if you are surrounded by players like the boss room however it is so expensive and most people just use legion 3 or just wisdom 5. just keep in mind the wisdom does not

Scale in dungeons so per piece you can get a maximum of 100 intelligence and also another thing i want to mention is that a legion 2 gives you pretty much the same amount of intelligence as wisdom 5 if you are surrounded by 3 players and on top of that since legion

Buffs your stats overall and not just intelligence your other stats will also get increased alright so let’s move on to pets now finding the best pet for you can be difficult but hopefully i’ll help you decide the first pet is guardian guardian gives intelligence and defense

As base stats and has the ability to zap enemies around you every three seconds overall this bet is for early to mid game players because it gives you some intelligence but that’s about it the second pet is sheep shiv gives intelligence and ability damage as base

Stats and has the ability to reduce mana costs of abilities by a percentage gives the shield of not taking damage for 10 seconds and also increases your total mana by a percentage in dungeons overall this is the best bet to maximize your rcm damage but some people might

Struggle surviving and might need more effective hp therefore the third and fourth pets are blue whale and baby yeti baby yeti gives a strength and intelligence sb stats and has the ability to give you defense depending on your strength while blue whale gives a good amount of health and defense

Because of the ability that gives you 3 defense for every 20 hp both are amazing effective hp pets although baby yeti is mostly better for damage classes so overall the blue whale is the best bet for mage should be the end game pet you use the fifth pet is wither skeleton

With a skeleton gives strength crit damage crit chance intelligence and defense as base stats and has the ability to take less damage from skeletons and do more damage to wither mobs this bed is not really a mage bet but allows you to deal more damage and helpful for floor 7 bathroom since there

Are weather mobs everywhere overall this is an lcm pet the sixth pet is black cat black cat simply gives you intelligence and speed as base stats and has the ability to increase your speed and speed cap up to 100. this pet is mostly used for clearing in higher floors since

Mages don’t really have much speed to begin with finally i want to mention two bonus pads for lcm which are ender dragon and golden dragon both of those pets are clearly damaged bets but they are very expensive for those who can afford them and are going for lcm mostly

You can use any of these too golden dragon are worse effective hp intelligence and speed compared to ender dragons in dungeons but does slightly more damage although ender dragon is cheaper than golden dragon and better if you plan on doing the end content let’s move on to pet items there’s so many pet

Items and honestly it all comes down to preference but here are the ones i recommend textbook to increase your pet’s intelligence by 100 spooky cupcake for an additional 30 strength and 20 speed tiger plushy for 35 attack speed minus relic for increased pet stats by 33.3 percent and

Dwarf tiltal shellmet for no knockback the minus relic might not be the best option since for one it’s very expensive and not that good although the only time i can think of it being useful for mages is on a cheap pet as we know sheep pet

Has the ability damage as base stats so with a minus relic it increases your damage by a bit just something to think about most people end up putting chalmet though because the knockback is just too much to deal with also another one is that the textbook only works on pets to

Actually have intelligence as base stats for example sheep but honestly the 100 intelligence you gain is just not worth it although it is still cheap so see what fits your budget anyways let’s talk about weapons now the weapons i’ll be mentioning are dreadlord sword bones of staff frozen scythe spirit scepter yeti

Sword hundred million magistaf giant sword hyperion and xyla the first weapon is dreadlord sword this weapon has an ability that shoots the skull and deals an okay amount of damage overall this is a budget one for new players getting into dungeons it’s very cheap and works for entrance and maybe floor one the

Second weapon is bones of staff this weapon has an ability that shoots balloons and creates a large explosion on impact this should be the next weapon after dreadlord it does more damage and makes clearing a lot easier for early floors this is probably an early to mid-tier weapon although should not be

Used past floor 3 or 4. the third weapon is frozen scythe it has an ability that shoots ice bolt and deals decent amount of damage compared to the bones of staff bones of stab deals aoe damage while frozen scythe has more single hits but for clearing bones and staff should be

Better however people find frozen scythe better for clearing because the bones of staff is just frustrating to deal with when it is constantly making you bounce around frozen scythe on the other hand does not do that instead it shoots those ice bolts and pieces through everything on its way for this weapon it’s

Definitely an option but the price of it is over double the price of a bonsai staff my opinion on this is that if you have a bonzo staff stick with it it’s a lot cheaper and will be replaced with something better anyways once you can advance the fourth weapon is spirit

Skepter which requires floor for completion this weapon shoots guided bats and explodes dealing good damage this is a better version of the bonzo staff and should be the next weapon after it it does more aoe damage and overall can be used up to floor 6 possibly the fifth weapon is yeti sword

Which has a catacomb 22 requirement this weapon throws a chunk of terrain in the direction you’re facing dealing damage to anything it hits comparing it to the spirit scepter it is worse for clearing but better for many bosses using this weapon as a secondary to the spirit’s

Captor could be beneficial but is very expensive so keep that in mind it is basically a budget hundred million midastaff and speaking of that the sixth weapon is hundred million midas death it casts a wave of molten gold in the direction it’s facing hitting everything

In its path as i just mentioned this is clearly better than yeti sword in terms of damage however from its name you can already guess it’s worth 100 million at least a lot more expensive than the yeti sword and honestly this weapon used to be useful for floor 7 but no one will

Accept you in a party without a hyperion progression wise it is better to just start in a different class if you plan on doing floor 7 then when you can afford a high prion on asylum go mage also after asking some people about their experience with the staff they

Have told me that it is annoying to deal with clearing rooms with the carpet blocking most of the molten gold and that molten gold blocks your teammate’s projectiles which ends up just griefing your team just wanted to mention that go with what you want after all my final

Opinion on it is to just skip this during your progression moviegone’s a 7th which is more of an lcm weapon is giant sword although i did say i would not cover lcm mostly i just had to at least mention this weapon for people who are planning on going for it a giant

Sword with the one for all enchant is really good for single hit damage towards mini bosses it also has an ability that slams the sword into the ground but it has a 30 second cooldown so it’s definitely not a primary weapon the eighth weapon is the hyperion this

Weapon is one of the most popular weapons in the game so you probably already know about it but when combined with the three scrolls it allows you to teleport explode and deal damage to the mobs in a radius overall this is the best weapon for mage deals an insane

Amount of damage and allows you to clear rooms extremely fast oh and of course it’s really fun to use the final weapon is xyla but wait if i mention the best weapon in the game for mages why xyla is there well the answer is simple xylo is

Also from the necrons blade family but it increases your crit damage and crit chance where the hyperion increases your intelligence the reason why people use this weapon is because of the weather shield it provides when using the ability basically healing and shielding you for 5 seconds if comboed with the

Suspicious reforge it is extremely good and really helpful you do lose a bit of damage from the hyperion but for some people it is worth the healing it provides anyways that sums up the weapons now for three forges for intelligence go heroic and if you can afford the loss in intelligence and want

More lcm damage go fabled whether it also works but fabled is better also if you’re going for a silo go for the suspicious reforge for the ultimate enchants on the other hand there’s simply only one good ultimate enchant if you are focusing on rcm which is the

Ultimate wise next up we have the helpful items the first and most important item is eye spray this weapon is expensive it’s actually really helpful for killing fast mobs like shadow assassins because it has an ability where it freezes mobs for 5 seconds giving you time to do as much

Damage as possible the second item is the wonderful tournament this one heals you for 170 hp per second for seven seconds if it’s too expensive you can use the downgraded ones as well the third item is florid or ornith zombie sword the florence zombie sword is the

Upgraded version of the ornate sword and has a good healing ability where it heals you for 168 hp plus five percent of your total health the fourth item is plasma flux overflux or manaflux the plasma flux is the upgraded version of the overflux and they all give you more

Strength and increases your region the fifth item is gloom block grimoire this item has an ability where it heals you for 40 with overflow mana personally this weapon is very helpful for master mode but since most mages won’t be needed for master mode a floor zombie sword would be good enough the sixth

Item is gyro wand this item has two abilities the left click ability creates a rift at the targeted locations eight blocks in radius and all mobs in the rift gets pulled to the center for 4 seconds the right click ability applies the aligned effect to 4 nearby players

And yourself for 6 seconds what the line does is that it splits incoming damage evenly between all aligned players overall this item is very helpful for killing mini bosses and clearing rooms with its left click ability in addition very helpful and necessary for master mode 6 but of course mages won’t be in

Master mode unless you’re really high catacomb the seventh item is wither cloak sword this weapon is mostly used for its ability where it spawns a veil around you giving you immunity from all damage this is probably the most underrated ability in the game it is extremely helpful for blocking damage

That you know is about to come for example when countering a shadow assassin in addition helpful for phase 3 of the floor 7 bathroom when jumping on the lava the final item is voodoo doll which has a zombie slayer 5 requirement this item has an ability where it

Chooses a few arrows at a target dealing an amount of damage and once it hits the target it slows them down this item is helpful for most classes but for mages it’s even better because of the damage scales with the amount of intelligence you have decent secondary item for early
