Hey tuna has Cody here and welcome back to another mod showcase so today Atlanteans I’m taking a look at the Archimedes ships mod so I took a look at this about a year ago and along with that I was taking a look at the small boats mod

I think I’ve done three mod showcases on so it’s been really fun I love boats I actually grew up my family had a lake house and we always went there so we have always been driving boats and fishing and everything so we love it and I really love it in minecraft so the

Archimedes ships mod you might have seen it in our how to train a dragon series um it’s recently been updated adding in some really cool features like the sailing in it and like it’s just ridiculous I cannot wait to show you guys so one major thing that he added in

Is a very cool system where the ship will act like it’s floating in the water and if you steer the ship will angle out now the thing with the small boats mod you can’t create your own ships but they do look very cool and they have some

Great models but they are they tend to glitch a little bit Archimedes used to be a big glitch year and now it’s kind of come up where it’s very cool there’s not many glitches and all the glitches you were seeing have kind of fixes for

Them so yeah let’s take a look at this now I do have shaders on I thought it looked amazing in this map I’ll leave a map download I forget the creator’s name I’m sorry about that I think it started with like Matt you’re a great builder

Man great work on this so yeah we have our ship here we have a few different ships we’re gonna show we have a small one medium large and then we’re gonna create our own ship guys we have a little station over there rule kind of

Create one so yeah let’s go up here to the top of the ship I put this one at the the front just because sometimes it’s easier on the smaller ships to kind of be on the front of the thing so yeah right here we have our helm this is like

The most important block within the mod so if you want to create a ship pretty much you need this block you’ll create yourself the ship you’ll build it and then down below you put floaters these floaters are for kind of giving a line of where you

Want the boat to float so if you put them like right to the surface or yeah right right at the surface along your boat the edges of it that’s where the boat will stay it won’t sink any more but if I was put these down below the

Ship would kind of rise up a bit so I think this is a perfect height for this boat and yeah we place down the helm and then we’ll right-click and we can actually get to name this so this GUI it says the ship status the ship name we haven’t really named it so

It’s got the default one we have the okay status type it’s a ship how many blocks zero percentage we’re not using as air balloons that might be a different video if you guys do 5,000 likes I will do a video show you guys how to make custom airships out of any

Things that create anything the like it’s endless guys you can take I don’t know like a pig and you can make the pig in airship would you want a pig to be an airship or like remember the boob and crazy craft 1.0 yeah we could make that

Thing in airship or even a boat that’s how amazing this mod is so let’s get back in this GUI air balloons got zero so we’re not using that one so 5000 legs got that gets that guys and also comment down below your favorite like ship mine

Has to be all the US enterprise that was a really cool ship in world war ii and it was like I wouldn’t Japan or near Japan and doing all the specific Pacific fights or whatever like the naval battles it was really cool that’s my favorite ship and let me know yours guys

It could be like any like he’d be the Titanic could be whatever and it says the mass how heavy the ship is so that kind of gives you an idea of how many balloons are floaters you need so we can assemble the ship assembling the ship

Creates the ship as an entity and see how it’s floating already now for some reason we have some water in the boat it’s okay that’s fine we don’t we’re not too worried but the ship didn’t sink down we just have some water down here but I think that’s the ship was

Originally made with that it looks so cool at the shaders now if you don’t like it I’m sorry I won’t use these again I just thought it’d look really cool for the ships because we’re in the water and the water looks awesome these so yeah let’s kind of drive the ship so

Before what the mod you couldn’t do a ship this big there was no way whatsoever didn’t be able to do it and now he’s end of the way he just increased it and made it less laggy and all that then we also have these sure buffers which I’ll go into more detail

Later but pretty much your ship would be like docked and you would end up taking the dock sometimes when you would make it a ship so that was never good and he made these Shore buffers so it would these blocks will never be picked up by

Ship so we can kind of take a look at that when we mount it so let’s mount and we can drive this thing now so yep see how they stay they won’t ever be picked up so you can have those as your docks and we kind of throw a butterfly and

Sting like a bee now so we can like really whip this thing around as you can see it’s like Rocking that never happened before before it used to be like look at that it’s so freakin cool I mean just sailing along oh my god this looks amazing

OOP sorry we bumped into your boat sir that’s a small one we’re gonna take a look at so yeah like I said you can Bob it back and forth sometimes it’s really hard to get past and tight corners but this one’s not too bad I managed to sail

Perfectly let’s try to turn this CL is just oh my god it turns on a dime because we’re going so slow let’s just sail around take a look at this map the maps amazing perfect for this mod showcase now you can create oh whoa whoa whoa what’s going on we hit something we

Hit something all right I think we’re good mine did you graze something although it’s really shallow here yeah you need to watch out for when I get shallow but yeah this map is just perfect now you can create anything you want so if you want like a futuristic type of ship like

In the thumbnail I wanted to create one I just didn’t have time because I mean I would take forever but yeah you can do anything you want I’m gonna build something very cool kind of futuristic yeah a little bit but nowhere near the size of that one

And a thumbnail it’s really cool so let’s kind of bring our around this map has so many ships it’s so freakin cool man you did such a great job I mean this place this looks I feel engulfed in it some people build maps and they leave certain areas like untouched I mean

You’ve done that so in some areas but the other areas it looks you know it just looks like it fits in another of the map suck about the mod yeah I really want to do things with this mod guys maybe we can do a boat racing if you

Guys hit that five thousand likes that kind of just shows us how much you’d like this I recommend if you’re gonna take a big boat you need to make sure the land is not shallow now it’s kind of hard with this oh yeah you can kind of

See it it’s kind of hard with this um texture Packer the shader to be able to tell how deep it is oh no we’re sinking get out get out when we can we even Bob out of here yeah like sometimes that happens if you get too shallow you hit something so we

Might add the bend ship here guys we’re let’s get to the dock at least kind of like you know Captain Jack Sparrow um Pirates of the Caribbean one he just kind of this ship was sinking he was on the sail and then he got to the docks

And then the ship sink let’s just do that and then the ship is looking cool so I’m gonna go over some really cool controls with you guys let’s get to a different ship as see we kind of sank that one or not the best captain’s like yes Oh

God that was not good that thing just sank um well let’s head to the small one I’ll take a look at the big one in just a second the big one I had the helm in the back but let’s jump on this little one in assembler ship and now we can

Mount it perfect alright Atlanteans so we have some really cool tips here for the ship you know you want to be able to make it a block again when you get off it doesn’t become block so it’s still a ship it still floats you can’t really use that area you can’t

Edit it your ship see you like when we compile sometimes we lose blocks you just need to replace them fix it all up so yeah you need to be able to make this thing blocks again not just an entity because you see how it’s floating it’s

An entity so we want to be able to do that we press equal to kind of like it’s still it’s still ship but it positions itself so if I was to do this backs are a backslash right below the backs it will give you an idea of what its

Gonna look like when you disassemble it so let’s mount the ship let’s see here we’re driving and then we hit backslash see how it just turns well sometimes I might mess you up so what the mod does if you hit the equals it will kind of

Give you an idea before you do it so that’s very useful he thought ahead he definitely has been thinking like what people have been asking their issues and stuff like my issue was I took my dogs all the time now that’s really cool now I want to

Make sure I’m not missing any controls here your ship’s inventory you can actually add an inventory apparently that wasn’t on the wiki but we can edit the inventory by pressing K and put stuff in here okay disassemble align that’s pretty much just like hitting equals here and this

Is would be like disassembling hitting backslash so yeah kay pulls up that GUI very cool stuff elana teens so let’s take a look at actually I’m gonna save that till the end I want to say that till the end the big ship cuz it’s really cool when you drive net you feel

Like you like Captain Jack Sparrow so we get a few other different blocks that we didn’t show these are for when you have other people in there or you want to keep track of how fast you’re going so yeah the ship’s helm to craft this you

Need four pieces of wood four sticks in an iron and get very cheap and then we need a passenger see if we’re gonna have other people go on with us and that’s pretty much just three wool a floater which is just woollen wood a shore buffer that’s where you like talk

Getting the ink sack and you need a floater then we have a measurement kind of gives you how fast you’re going to golden gets to iron and gets redstone into glass panes and then we also have a wooden crate now I haven’t really tested this apparently if you put these on your

Ship you can actually take mobs with you so say we want to transport like a dragon and how to train your dragon or like a dinosaur in dinos we can actually do that Elliott Ian’s we can just place down this wood crate and if they walk

Over it they will then be a part of the ship until you disassemble that’s very cool I like that that’s pretty beastly so we’re gonna make our own ship here did he get guys now I’m not gonna say what it is until it is time

To like to have this bad boy so we got this little area where we’re gonna be able to make the ship but cutting out the the outline as you can see so let’s just start placing down some blocks and you guys will kind of get an idea of what I’m building here

Now if you do want this to be like a kind of mini game where Joe and I kind of build the best ships then yeah be sure to leave a like I do want to give a shout-out to careless he he’s a youtuber he does a lot of building it’s very cool

I never really I think I met him once maybe well that was I’m not sure maybe at Minecon but he’s a really great builder so I got this idea from him so let’s go let’s continue building here it’s gonna be pretty fancy I think I don’t think I

Have enough room maybe I do it would really suck if I didn’t so we got that going we’ll just kind of block this up here the shader is kind of bright it is bright sometimes but it just makes this wow look at that I want to get like a

You’ve ever been in a boat what type of boat have you been in because I know most boats my dad sold them for years my uncle he owned a boat dealership and my dad worked there with him and yeah it was really cool then like we started

They were selling like a lot of boats towards like 2000 to 2004 and then like the recession hit and then yeah my dad’s selling different stuff now like if you guys ever heard of dynamometer they test the speed of ships I don’t know like different vehicles like it

Could be like a seadoo or could be anything and that’s what he’s doing now but yeah we used to always get like the new boats being able to like test them out since they sold them okay we’re doing here we gotta make this up a little here that okay

It’s kind of it’s gonna look cool guys you’re gonna see what’s happening now we’re gonna make this gradually go down the way Carol is did it he had it so he was using snow we’re definitely under get rid of these wood blocks and put buffers in guys for

When we actually decompile the ship okay I think we’re coming along good here now we need to put the slabs in oh that looks sweet all right even without the slabs that’s going down I’m yelling timber perfect all right now we need to kind of add the motor area in

I’m not sure how am I gonna do that let’s fill this all up with some clay dark gray clay all right we also need to do the floor I think I’ll do the floor off camera for the bottom of the ship the fiberglass hole so let’s just fill

This all up and then we can kind of do the floor like this oh that looks nice yeah alright we’ll do that and then towards the back we’ll have it be kind of sloped down because usually these type of boats have a little swim platform in the back alright now it can

Kind of come down a little bit alright that’s looking good now it’s gonna come down or actually we need to kind of do something here where it’s gonna show that the boat there’s a motor in the back the boner can be underneath yeah we don’t really need to do the motor build

That up can I there a way to do this oh there is cool alright yeah like I like building in Minecraft that you guys want to see more of these like me taking time to build stuff in the mod showcase rather than off-camera let me know I decided to

Do it on camera because I just like building I wanted to see show you guys that I do like building a decent builder when I do other time I when I wanted to camera I I do kind of get flustered don’t build as much as I can or as best

As I can so let’s do another seat here place the slab okay and then we can get and do like an L seats leading people to sit down well I’m actually became really doing LC Camry let’s get rid of that one what’s so weird okay that’s looking good

And we don’t really need to go into too much detail well actually we probably should put the home of the original seats down so let’s get those yeah these passenger seats which are gonna be awesome for driving the boat that’s cool all right so we need to be

Able to do the whole wheel quick and then we’ll get rid of the wood you put the the shore buffers in and then we’ll place all the items that we need like the floater is on the bottom of the boat so we can take off so this is a speed

Boat guys speed boats are really cool I’ve never really driven one myself but I look forward to yeah so we’re gonna go fix up the boat guys I guess so I finished building all the like extra stuff that was kind of boring now I don’t know if I was pronouncing corrales

His name correctly I think I was saying careless so if I did I’m sorry it happens so let’s jump right into this guys we need to take a look at some so a the ship’s helm you guys already seen this item well let’s place it down right there I

Kind of changed the seating so I’m just the captain one captain and I can kind of get a good look what’s going on out there now we’re gonna place down these wooden crates we’re actually gonna be testing them kind of the for the first time here

I guess I can put them there I’m gonna put one there and there okay cool that looks cool no I think I’ll wait till I assemble a ship to kind of test those or what if I put creeper down now would they be stuck in there no because like

It’s obviously come on you can do it yeah it says on the it just says oh yeah look at that it’s stuck right there so any mob that just walks over that it’s kind of stuck on there okay push them off No okay well that’s Wow that’s sick that’s

Powerful stuff there oh we got creepers on the boat with those guys that’s never good we need to make sure this boat floats so it’s a speedboat it’s gonna go pretty fast we want to make sure it floats though so put some floats over here I’m

Gonna put them all along the bottom make sure it’s flowing at the right level because it would look kind of weird if it was this in the water too much so let’s do all this floaters back there one right there and then go along the

Edge I know what kind of makes it look a little worse cuz I like how it goes in but yeah we got it we got to do this for the good of the boat so it doesn’t sink having a sinker is never good we got a floater

Oh that looks it doesn’t look that bad we need to put carpet here no it’s already there it’s just bright alright umm I think that’s pretty much it we don’t really need the shore buffers we can put some down though I don’t know just give me that some down back here

Make sure it doesn’t pick that up all right well creepers are you ready to go we can also play some of the measurements and we can watch them as we go can we put them on top well we can put them on top okay so it’s clear

Inventory and it’s the moment guys it could ruin the ship or it could not so assemble we know we should name the ship let me know names down below actually like what you guys think I should call it for now I’m gonna call it the fly the

Flying penguin I don’t know so let’s assemble and now we can mount are we good are we good okay oh looks like all the glass seems to be like dark now that’s okay though we seem to be very mobile though like you see this kind of a weave and bobbing

Alright let’s test out the speed mirror it’d be cool if you could add in sounds though for specific named ships this looks sick guys oh my god okay we’re a little big to fit through here sometimes it’s like wiggle through there we go we would go through we found the way and

Now we’re flying on by oops you need the F oh there we go oh my God look at these guys we’re flying on by with our speedboat looking cool guy creepers in the back the creeper ladies he smells spin around can we really see up here I can’t I

Can’t really see so let’s try to whip around you know five what we gonna do this we’re getting into the ship guys we gotta get to the big ship somebody’s trying to steal it Jack Sparrow again riding around a speed boat in the medieval time this kind of works well

We’re almost there towards a ship oh there’s our sunken ship guys oh no that’s not good we’re almost there oh this is even bigger when I didn’t do this massive one or did I no I don’t think I did I did the smaller one over here alright let’s ditch it we’re going on

Land we can’t crashed oh well howling looks really cool guys I hope you guys like that build you got a creepers here oops they look happy they liked it I’m excited to put this in other mod packs so where do we have this thing assembled okay let’s just right-click now this

Oh No whoops assembly ship mount let’s go we’re in this giant giant ship here guys are we really stuck do we somehow get managed to get stuck sometimes when you disassemble the ship you get stuck in these water rifts and you need to kind of like back and forth

Until you can like wiggle yourself out all right it’s bouncing and we get bounced forward come on come on ah no it doesn’t look like it’s gonna work these things just struggling well yeah see how it’s like it has the issue of the water having this little thing

Here yeah that’s the issue I’m gonna try to fix that guys Atlanteans I’ve been trying to get this thing out and it doesn’t look good we’re slowly going down the big of the ship is the harder is the kind of like take care of and manage so I I was slowly going down

We’re sinking Atlanteans this is a good we’re going down with our ship no no this is this isn’t good oh my god did you see you just went down oh my god no no over a little rule I can’t breathe a little boo boo boo we can do it we can
