Minecraft’s terrain generator has seen a few major overhauls over the years from Alpha’s goofy choppy engine to the massive biome change in beta 1.8 to something massive and overarching like caves and cliffs changing the Aesthetics of the game in drastic ways each time these terrain generation changes led to Certain famous world seeds being made Obsolete and lost to time with the only way to play them in the remembered State being playing old versions of the game that they worked in the seeds I’m going to talk about in this video were extremely popular for their time period And leave a nostalgic feeling nowadays for many now I’ve already made a part one of this video so check that out if you haven’t for even more famous old Minecraft seeds a lot of people asked about other nostalgic seeds I left off of that preliminary list so I thought Why not a part two and so let’s look at 10 more iconic Minecraft seeds lost to time starting the list off stronghold this first seed featured an above ground or I guess above water and stronghold something that is obviously super rare and interesting this was the sea dossier or dossier I don’t know First discovered sometime around November of 2012 in Java Edition Minecraft official release 1.4 Not only was the end stronghold above water an incredibly easy to access it was also Incredibly Close to the spawn point literally across the short water Channel by the next Island and not only that but The room that is sticking out literally is the end portal room oh and that Island also has a giant village talk about a great start to a world and the seed doing the exploring for you there were a few great seed showcase videos made on it and it exploded into the Spotlight for a while but and you know how this goes a short time later in Minecraft version 1.7 the way terrain generated was entirely changed and seeds were reset meaning dossier then turned into this generic looking boring world it’s kind of sad that things get reset This way but also it leaves a brand new blank slate of seed Discovery all over again again the next one is one of my favorites of all time just because it’s funny the seed gimme a village well spawns you right in front of a village this was discovered back in Java Edition Official release 1.2 I always love imagining what the first person to type this was thinking like please sir give me a Village oh God I’m never doing that bit again I’m so sorry anyway what made this seed memorable as well is that it doubled as a survival island style seed The spawn island is small narrow and has Li resources outside the large Village it has two huge oceans on either side The Village isn’t super special mainly because it didn’t have a blacksmith chest but at the time finding seeds with villages nearby was a pretty rare occurrence Villages used to be way less Common than they are now and one of the most notable bits of the seed as well digging down below one of the village houses led you right to a zombie spawner pretty nice addition to the survival island type area like dossier 1.7 new terrain generator ruined gimme a village Forever as requesting the game to give you a village only left you villagess this next seed has a pretty unique story that can’t be said for pretty much any other Minecraft seed out there let’s talk about North Carolina not the US state the seed is literally North Carolina what makes North Carolina Super special is the beautiful Smoky Mountains extensive beaches and oh I I mean it was literally the seed of the Minecraft Demo World you see Minecraft created the Demo World in version 1. three which is sort of a free trial that lets you test out the game the Demo World can be played for five in-game days and then the world gets locked unless you bought the game the seed of the world was North Carolina I tried to figure out why they chose that considering Mojang originated in Sweden and this is before Microsoft bought them But came up with nothing so if you know why leave a comment below anyway the seed is not incredibly special just a pretty big hilly Oak Forest Island but considering many people started playing Minecraft before they’re old enough to be slaves to capitalism and buy the game For themselves a ton of people feel nostalgic for this world this was the first access they had to the game and the first taste that they were given what’s really cool is that over the years despite Minecraft’s terrain generator updating quite a few times since 1.3 the seed has remained the same So to this day the Demo World uses North Carolina which looks a lot different now than it once did it’s arguably the most unique seed in Minecraft due to this story when beta 1.4 came out so did the first table mob ever the wolf these Little guys had a lot of hype back in the day as they were the first mob to make Minecraft feel a lot less lonely since we were finally given a companion of sorts and due to this people were flooding to tigga biomes looking for new canine friends and of course looking for Tigga seeds became ever so popular to expedite this process thus the seed that is literally just wolf was born God I love seeds like wolf and gim a vill Village truly the simplest ideas are the most genius so you can see where this is going using wolf in beta 1.4 spawns you In a snowy Barren tundra biome with a ton of wolves accessible right away in the nearby Tiga biome which back then was actually a super rare occurrence as wolf spawn rates weren’t increased until the next update beta 1.5 and tigga biomes were pretty rare in general so Being able to find some right away was super uncommon and this seed became pretty well known back then it was even advertised by Mojang at one point the Minecraft wolf will forever go down as one of the most iconic mobs ever and are still a huge part of a lot of people’s Worlds and speaking of beta 1.5 perhaps one of the most famous seeds from that version was -1 this was pulled from one of the many early seed websites at the time and it did not disappoint we love our beta mountains andus 11 was no exception to this it spawns you in a Desert and if you turn around you’re met with just the most beautiful jumble of beta blocks I’ve ever seen back in the day Minecraft terrain wasn’t biome specific so mountains and Hills like this could theoretically spawn in any biome rather being locked to Extreme Hills or something like Stony Peaks we Have today this led to Crazy formations in all of the biomes at the time and the desert mountain and overhang aren’t all that minus 11 has to offer as if you Traverse the giant Rocky Dune you’re met with a ton more Mountains caves and those class beta overhangs that never Get old when you find them I really miss these crazy beta desert mountains exploring back in the day just hit different unfortunately beta 1.8 came around and bomiz the generation or made it controlled by biomes and minus 11 was made obsolete forever it didn’t last Very long but when it was around it was immensely popular and for good reason like I did in the last Seed video I’d like to shout out a famous Pocket Edition seed as I know tons of you talk about them and feel nostalgic for the old pocket edition versions however I Personally never really played Pocket Edition back in the day so if I get anything wrong here I apologize perhaps one of the most famous Pocket Edition seeds in history is 666 for pocket edition 0.15 there were many halfast conspiracies and ghost stories about this seed obviously none of which are True but the actual world that generated with the seed was pretty cool it spawns you near a desert with a pretty sweet desert temple right nearby and a spider spawner in the cave right next to the spawn there’s also a pretty awesome mountain range in the Savannah Biome Next to the desert the reason it got so popular though was because of the hoaxes going around at the time with a lot of Herobrine esque fake videos being made about the world or who knows maybe they are actually true and we are all crazy for not believing the people who have Claimed to experience it in the last video I talked about the seed 4 which was a cool seed in Minecraft version 1.5 that spawned you right near a mushroom biome however when the terrain gener ation engine got updated in 1.74 got overwritten yet it was still just as Cool it spawns you on a tiny unassuming Island at first however exploring a little bit leads you to some pretty cool stuff similar to the dossier seed it features an exposed stronghold jutting out from a cave and the best part is is that it’s literally right next to the Same chunk as the one you spawn in and it’s visible from the cave entrance super rare super wild and it’s probably even more rare to have a seed that’s notable and cool in one version and then subsequently is still cool in the next version after the seeds get overwritten Thus is the case with four although unfortunately it couldn’t reach the trifecta of notability when the new stronghold generator came out with the controversial 1.9 update 4 was made to look just like any old generic Minecraft world just add it to the laundry list of reasons that 1.9 was not so great for Minecraft a quick shout out to our console homies Legacy Edition Minecraft had a few notable famous seeds as well one of the kings of that list was Sprite which was a survival island type seed for the Xbox 360 version of the game this was extremely early one of the First notable seeds ever found for legacy console edition in this time period the world generation was actually the same between Legacy console and Java Edition so despite being discovered and popular on Console you can actually play Sprite on Minecraft version 1.2 it could not be more perfect as a survival island As it features one tree a bit of sugarcane and one cave system that actually doesn’t go down that far surrounded by Massive ocean on all sides it’s kind of spooky how perfectly it serves as a survival island considering Legacy console was the only other edition of the game I played besides Java Minecraft back in the day this one hits home for me I missed the Simplicity of Legacy console pre- Bedrock Minecraft in the first version of Minecraft’s official release 1.0 mushroom biomes were brand new and given that they became the rarest biome in the game pretty much instantly there was a Huge rush to find them in people’s worlds became kind of the iconic part of Minecraft’s major release and finding a mushroom biome was the ultimate goal of exploration at the time it felt so so cool to find one back then that being said a movement alongside the release Was Finding seeds to locate mushroom biomes instantly and one was actually discovered by accident this is the seed lost which actually spawns you right in a mushroom biome something that hadn’t really been seen before not only that but what really set lost apart from other early mushroom biome seeds is that There are actually two mushroom islands right next to each other swimming a little ways about 200 blocks towards the X direction from the spawn Mushroom Island leads you to another bigger one so it’s kind of a double-edged sword of Rarity not only did you spawn in one but It also gives you an entire second Island right nearby super rare super cool lost was made obsolete in release 1.2 with the addition of jungle biomes and the generator overhaul very short-lived unfortunately and the final seed on our list is beagle Bagel which was made famous in a video made by green skull Back in 2012 about the seed on Xbox 360 edition the seed features massive beta esque mountains and tons of cave systems green skull made lots of videos like this playing on famous seeds with his buddies and lots of people feel Nostalgia for these types of videos beagle bagel on Java Edition 1.2 was Pretty notable as well with huge mountains right near the spawn and some pretty nice Islands scattered through the nearby ocean in a version that tended to be pretty flat seeing big mountains and spawning right next to them was pretty great anyway I hope you enjoyed another list of iconic Minecraft Seeds in history I said it in the last video but I’ll say it again losing old nostalgic seeds sucks but with every terrain generator overhaul it makes way for new crazy seeds to be found there’s always going to be really cool ones out there waiting to be discovered and on That note if you have any more famous ones you can remember or feel nostalgic for not covered in part one or two let me know in the comments again be sure to check out part one also subscribe and like this video for more nostalgic Minecraft content coming your way I love You all so so very much I hope
