Hey what’s up youtube in this video i’ll be showing you how to make a spongebob statue since you guys seem to be a little bit creeped out by the skin statue version of spongebob that i made i’ve decided to make a much larger version that is just a scaled down Version of spongebob if you’d like to make it here’s what you’re going to need you will need some black wool some brown wool you’ll also need light gray some white wool also grab red dark blue light blue and finally grab yourself some yellow wool and those are the only Colors that we’re going to be needing so once you have each one of those and once you’ve figured out where you want to make it i’ll be making it right here you’re going to want to kick off your spongebob statue with two black wool in A row on the floor that’s just two black wool like this once you have your two black wool you then want to place three rows of white wool on top of your black wall so that’s one two three just like that once you have your three rows of white you then Want to do a layer of a red wool then another layer of white then a layer of dark blue then another layer of white and then you want to do five layers of yellow so that’s one two three four five and one two three four five directly next to it This is what you want to have made once you have those two rows directly next to each other like that you then want to do the exact same thing in front of these two rows that we’ve made so you just want to add another layer of what You’ve just made directly in front of this first initial couple of rows so just copy block for block what you’ve already placed and just place it in front of your first initial two rows and that is most of spongebob’s leg we also have to do a shoe but we’ll be doing That later on once you’ve formed spongebob’s leg you then want to come all the way up to the top of it and you want to do four brown wool on top of these four blocks right here like that once you have your row of four brown you Then with your brown wool you kind of just want to go all the way around the outside of those four brown wool that you’ve placed and you want to make this square shape like this so you want to have like a a four by four square like that Once you’ve done this you then kind of want to trace along the top of the outside of the square shape that you’ve just made with your brown wall and you want to add two additional layers of brown wool on top of that first layer that you’ve placed so you want to have Something which should look like this if you guys can see what we’ve done there once you have that you then want to be on the front side of the leg you want to from this top left hand corner block of the front side of the leg do two brown Wool coming towards you like this so from this block one two you then want to go left of the second block by two one two once you’ve done that on the front of the leg you then want to come to the back of the leg right here and from the Equivalent block on the back this upper right hand corner come out of the back of the leg by two one two and then go right going that way by two one two and then connect the front and the backs of the leg together like this so just to come to the front to Give you guys the view this is what you want to have formed right here that might not make a lot of sense at the moment but trust me that’s going to look a lot better once we’ve got the other bit taken care of once you’ve reached this point right Here you now want to come all the way down to the bottom of the leg so right where we first place this black wall and you want to from this right hand black wall block right here take out any color it doesn’t really matter we’re only using it to measure the distance from This leg to the next leg that we’re going to play so going right of this black wall right here place a row of 13 anything so that’s 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 like that once you have your row of 13 you then Want to place two additional black wool blocks like this what we’re now going to do is we’re basically now going to build up spongebob’s other legs so we want to start off with a two by two square of black wool on the floor in the exact same position as the original leg like That and then we just want to build up the leg just as we did the first one so on top of our black wool we’ll just do these two back blocks right here on top of our black wall we want to do three rows of two white so that’s one two three Then one row of red one then one row of white one one row of blue one row of white then five rows of yellow one two three four five and one two three four five we then want to do the exact same thing directly in front of those two rows so Just as we did on the opposite side we’re now just adding another couple of rows in front of the first initial two rows like i’m doing now and what you want to end up with is something that should look exactly like this simple enough right once you’ve done that we now want to Come all the way up to the top of the leg and place our fore brown wall like that on top of the leg then with your brown wall you want to go all the way around the outside to make the bottom of the shorts so just the leg hole for the shorts We then want to add two layers of brown wool on top of that initial layer of brown so we just want to go all the way around the outside like this just two times on top of that first initial layer and that will give us a nice cubish looking shape like this Once you’ve formed that shape you then want to come to the upper right hand corner of the front of your leg and from this block right here do two brown wool coming towards you just as we did on the opposite side so one two then go right of the second block by two One two once you’ve done that you then want to come to the back of the leg and starting from the equivalent block on the back of the leg this upper left hand corner block do two brown wall coming out of the back one two and then go left of that second wall by Two one two then connect the front and the back together like this and what you want to end up with is something that should look a little bit like this pretty simple what you now want to do is connect one side of the statue all the way over to The opposite side so you just want to take the left-hand side of the statue and the right-hand side of the statue from the front and the back and you just want to connect each side together so you just want to connect each one of those two rectangular shapes together like this This is the shape that you want to have formed and this is the base of our spongebob’s pants literally his pants his square pants which are really much more of a rectangle shape once you’ve done that this is what you want to do next so you’re on the front Of your spongebob we’re now going to build up the entire front of the statue since that’s where most of the detail lies and then we’ll do the sides then we’ll do the back so come to the front of your statue and on top of this most front row of Brown wool you want to do one red wall in the center of the next row of your brown wall so in the center right there just eyeball it i’m sure you’ll be fine to a red wool in the center and then do brown wool everywhere Else on that row so left and right of the red wool just do brown wool everywhere else like this for the next row do a free red wool in the center of the row so right in the three center spots of the rope and again just eyeball it i’m sure you’ll be fine And then place brown wool everywhere else on that row so again the left and right of that red wall just place brown wall like this the next row is a little bit trickier but we can do it an easy way so come to the left hand side of the row And starting from the left hand side do this sequence of blocks going right to two brown wool one two then three black wool one two three then two brown wool one two three black wool free red wool three black wool two brown wool three black wool finish off the row by Doing two brown wool like that for the next row do free red wool in the free center spot of the row again just eyeball it or as a matter of fact you don’t have to eyeball it as you have the previous rows to measure it out and then Just place brown wool everywhere else like this and that is the end of spongebob’s pants or at least the front side of them once you’ve done that row you then want to take out your red wool and you want to stack three rows of free red on top Of the free middle spots of the row so like this one two three just coming up and as you guys can see we’re just building up spongebob’s tie you then going left and right of the top row this third row right here you want to place an additional red a red wall Just going left and right just forming a t shape like this you then starting from the left hand side that you just placed a red wool on you just want to place a light gray going left of that first red wall then do a bottom left diagonal with your Light gray then go left of that diagonal by one then do an uplift diagonal that is the shape that you want to have formed that’s the left hand side of spongebob’s collar once you’ve done that on the left hand side you want to do the exact same thing on the right hand side So going right of the single red wall do a light gray wall then do a bottom right diagonal then go right by one then do an upright diagonal that is the collar for spongebob shirt once you’ve got that taken care of you then want to build up all three of those Rows with white wool so everywhere else on those rows just do white walls so just as i’m doing just fill in the spacers with white and you will have no trouble and once you’ve done that you’ve actually fully completed spongebob shirt so once you have those three rows Completely taken care of you now want to do three solid rows of yellow walls so that’s one two three and we just have to fill these in now and it’s going to take a little while since this statue is actually quite big so this is the second row just about Halfway done and this will be the third row so we’re just doing this and there we go once you have your three rows of yellow wool you then for the next row want to place a single red wool in the center spot of the row you then want to place Free red going left of that center wall one two three and you want to place free red going right of that center wall one two three just like that to form a row of seven red wool in the center of your row for the next row you want to do a row of Nine in the center of the row so just do a row of seven again and then extend it out by one either side like this once you have your row of nine you then for the next row want to do a free red wool in the free center spots of the row Then do two white wool either side like that and then do free red wool either side of your white wall so further expanding out into the road do a free red wool either side of those white wall like this for the next row and the final row of Spongebob’s mouth you basically want to copy the previous row except you want to extend the red out by a single red wall on either side of the row so you want to copy the previous row like that and you just want to add an additional red wool On the left hand side and the right hand sides of the row like this once you’ve done that you then want to fill the rest of those rows in with yellow walls so just fill everywhere else in with yellow and you’ll be fine so i’m just going to do that for myself and Then we can continue on so we’ve just added in all of the yellow and there we go that’s spongebob’s mouth that’s going to look a little bit different later actually but don’t worry about that now once you have all of the yellow added in you now want to do Four solid rows of yellow walls so that’s one two three four and now we just have to fill them in which is of course the time consuming part so i’m just going to fill these in almost on row number two make sure i’m still recording because that would be really Really unfortunate guys if i wasn’t recording it would upset me no end luckily i am and we are just about done actually i think that that is the fourth row yep so once you’ve done your four solid rows of red wool you then for the next row Starting from the left hand side want to going right do free yellow walls so that’s one two three you then want to do a row of seven white walls so that’s one two three four five six seven and on top of the first and seventh box In that row seven white wall you want to go up by six with your white so that’s one two three four five six and one two three four five six you then want to connect each one of those six blocks together top block to top block to form a nice square shape You then want to take out your light blue wool and do an ever so slightly smaller light blue square inside of that white square like this you then want to fill in the center of that square in with black wool you then want to come to the top of a Spongebob’s left eye and starting from on top of this most left-hand white wall you want to do this pattern do one black wool then miss a block one black wool miss a block one black wool mister block one black wall and that is spongebob’s eye in its entirety including his eyelashes Once you’ve got that first eye taken care of we now want to do the exact same thing just three blocks over going that way so coming to the bottom right hand side of the eye with your yellow wool just do a row of free yellow going right like this Then do a row of seven white one two three four five six seven and then go up on top of the first and seventh blocks each by six one two three four five six and one two three four five six connect each one of those six blocks together like that then do your Square of light blue wool in the center of your white square then fill the center part in with black wool just as i’m doing now and then on top of the eye starting from the left hand side just do the pattern black walnuts one black will miss one Black one this one miss one black wall like that and what you want to end up with is something that should look exactly like this looking a little creepy at the moment but trust me it’s going to look a lot less creepy once he has some of his other features Once you’ve got the eyes taken care of you then want to fill in all of the rest of those rows in with yellow walls so i’m just going to match the height with the yellow wool and i’m just going to fill in these rows so i’m just going to do that right now Just about finished it just got the left hand side to do now and once we’ve done that we can move on so once you’ve got both of his eyes taken care of we can now do the final parts of the front of spongebob so we Now to finish this off want to do five solid rows of yellow walls so that’s one two three four five and of course we now just have to fill these rows in so that’s going to take a little while isn’t it but not to worry we have all of The time in the world which is sarcasm we don’t i wish he i wish he’d move ever so slightly faster actually i need a potion of swiftness or something even though he needs to go to starbucks picking up pick himself up some coffee maybe get a bit of a Bit of get up and go spider-man just about finished it though and this is what you want to end up with in total once you have done the entire front of your spongebob statue and like i said i know that at the moment it’s looking very very creepy but don’t worry we’re Going to solve that problem very very soon so that is what you want to have so far for the entire front of your spongebob we should probably add in the features of the front of the statue whilst we’re actually here so once you’ve reached this point right here We’re now going to add in the nose so the nose actually sits in between the eyes and it sits just two rows below the eyes it actually spans two rows so just place six yellow wool just below the center of the eyes like this once you’ve placed those six yellow wool You then want to extend out each one of these six yellow walls out in front of the statue by four rows so one two three four and you want to do the exact same thing from each yellow block so you want to have five rows of six yellow wool just pointing out at The front of your statue like this so from the side you can see that we have one two three four five rows coming out in front of the statue once you’ve got the nose done we can now do his cheeks so starting from the upper left hand side Of spongebob’s mouth you want to from this block right here can you guys see where i am i’m just sat on top of the most left-hand corner of spongebob’s mouth just do a row of free yellow wool in this position one two three just like that and once you have that first Initial row of free yellow wool add two additional rows of free yellow wool going left of that first one like this so you want a three by three square of yellow once you’ve done that on the left hand side of spongebob’s face do the exact same thing on the right hand side so Starting with the right hand corner of the mouth do a row for a yellow wall then add two more rows of free going right like this so so far we want to have spongebob’s nose and we want to have his cheeks once you’ve done that you then want to Come all the way around to the back of your spongebob statue and you guys can see where we have the mouth well you want to add a layer of red wool on the inside of spongebob’s face just behind the red wall that you placed for His mouth so as you can see we’re just adding an additional layer of red wool that just wants to sit behind the red of the mouth like this it kind of looks like the top of an eagle or something once you’ve done that you then want to Come all the way around to the front of your statue and you want to knock out the red wall of spongebob’s mouth on the front of your statue so you want to leave the teeth alone leave the white alone and you just want to knock out all of the red wool Like this so now his mouth is actually a hole it’s actually concave so that is what you want to have for the front of your spongebob so far now all we have to do is spongebob’s feet so come all the way down to the bottom of spongebob’s feet and with your Black wool you want to in front of spongebob’s feet add three additional rows of black wool coming out in front of your statue so the very two first rows one two three like this and on top of the most two outward rows of black that you placed you want to stack two More rows of black wall so from a side view you want to have something which should look like this you’ve got that first row second or a third row on top of the second and third rows add more black wool and the same goes for his Other foot as well so one two three and one two three like that and add two more rows of black wool on top of those two most outward rows so once you’ve got his feet taken care of and the entire front of your spongebob statue pretty much taken care of of Course we’ve got to do the arms and the rest of the sides but he’s looking pretty good as he is now we can now move on so once you’ve reached this point right here we’re now going to do the rest of the side so come all the way Over to the left hand side of your spongebob statue take out your brown wool and the first thing that we have to do is completely fill in these first two rows of brown just going all the way around the sides of our statue so we just want to add two Rows of brown wall just going all the way around the base of our statue like this so as you guys can see we’re just adding two rows of brown just going all the way around in a big giant u-shape so we’re just doing that and then we can move on Once you have your first two rows of brown this is what you want to do on each side so starting from the right hand side the side closest to the front of this row you want to do going left towards the back of the statue do one brown wall then four black wool Then two brown wool and you want to do that on either side so this is the left hand side and you want to do the exact same thing on the right so just place four black wool in the center of the side and then just place brown wool everywhere else Now for the back of the statue it’s ever so slightly different so starting from the left hand side of the back going right you want to do this pattern do one brown wool then do free black wool one two three then two brown three black free brown three black Two brown three black one brown and let me just show you how that should look so on the back that is exactly what you want to have very simple starting from the left we’ve just got one brown three black two brown three black free brown three black two brown three black and then However many brown it takes to finish off the back once you’ve got that row taken care of we now want to add an additional row of brown wool on top of that row so we’re just going all the way around and we’re adding an additional row of brown wool just like that Once you’ve added that additional row of brown we now have to do three solid rows of white walls so just going all the way around we have to add three solid rows of white and unfortunately this is our reality for the next few minutes we now Have to pretty much once we’ve added in the three rows of white we then want to completely fill the rest of the sides and the back in with yellow walls so i’m just adding all of the white wall now and then we’ll be moving on to the Yellow and that is not going to be fun that is going to be time consuming so once you’ve added in your three rows of white we now basically just want to do as many rows of yellow as it takes and we just want to match the height of the Top of the statue so this is going to take a while and you might find it more effective to do vertical and horizontal rows like this you might you might want to do it this way or you might want to do it the way that i was just doing it Where you were just kind of going around in a u-shape kind of connecting one side of the statue to another that’s completely up to you of course however i’m just i’m kind of just gonna mix between the two just so that i don’t get a little too bored but the whole Objective here is just to basically just add as many rows of yellow as needed to make all of the statue just an equal height that is exactly what we’re doing so i’m just adding these rows of yellow i mean i don’t know whether this is any faster going like up And down as opposed to going like left to right i really don’t know they’re probably quite comparable but this way does feel ever so slightly faster although as i do watch myself do it on the screen i feel as though my eyes are just then they’re not meant for this They are not meant for this it’s uh it’s gone like having a little mini seizure or something as i as i watch myself do it so we’re going to we’re going to move on to method number one a little bit although i am just about halfway done by The looks of it but it doesn’t matter we’ll uh we’ll move back over to this so once we’ve added all of the yellow necessary all we have to do is fill the bottom of his pants in with a brown wall as you guys can see we Have a hole down there and that’s no good we don’t want him falling out of them although he does in the show quite a lot we’ll fill in the bottom of the pants then we’ll do his arms and then we’ll actually be done and i don’t think That this has taken a ridiculous amount of time so far so i’m just going to continue filling in his body and like i said this is the most time-consuming part and uh then we can move on and it probably won’t take us very long so huh How was uh how was your day is your day pretty good making small talk there’s nothing else to do i think i’ll go back to a vertical and horizontal actually since i’m almost positive that that way is definitely faster it definitely feels faster doesn’t it i think so i you definitely move faster Going up and down than you do going to left to right i’m almost sure i might be wrong it feels faster if nothing else which is which is important to me so just going to add in the rest of these rows hopefully my eyes won’t pop out of My head as i’m doing this but we’ve just got the right hand side to finish off now and then we’ll just about be done so let’s just fill the entire rest of the right hand side in here there we go and what you want to end up With is something that should look a little bit like this it’s actually a little too big to give you guys a nice 360 view but you guys can see what we’ve seen i’m sure that sentence makes sense once you’ve reached this point right here you Now just want to fill the entire top of the head in with yellow wool i completely forgot about this bit actually uh had i forgotten spongebob would have had a big giant hole in his head not that he doesn’t already have multiple holes in his head as he is a Sponge porous as he some would say but uh yeah we probably don’t want that so we’ll just fill the entire top of his head in with yellow walls so we’ll just do this and then we’ll fill uh the rest of his pants in like i said And then we’ll move on to the arms and we’ll be done so this is the entire top of his head filled in once you’ve done that you now want to come all the way down to the bottom of your spongebob statue and now we just want to fill the bottom Of his pants or trousers depending where you are in the world it doesn’t really matter we all know what we’re talking about just fill the bottom of his pants in with brown walls so just as i’m doing now just fill this little bottom section in with brown so Just doing that right now i wonder if you could turn this spongebob into a house i i bet you could it’d look kind of crazy though i wouldn’t i wouldn’t suggest doing that nevermind forget that i mentioned it you don’t want to do that or you could you could i wonder where The entrance would be i think i know where i would put the entra never mind that’s slightly inappropriate so once you’ve completely filled in the bottom of spongebob’s pants with brown now we have to do the arms so we’re going to start with his left arm first Of all so come to the left hand side of the statue and starting from this block right here that i have highlighted i’m sure that you guys will have no trouble identifying this block you want to going towards the back of the statue from this Block you want to count in by two so going left one two now from this block take out your white wall and do a row of four white wool coming out of the side of your statue so that’s one two three four from this fourth block coming towards The back of the statue again do a row of three so that’s one two three then connect this third block all the way back to the statue like this to form a kind of like a u-shape like that once you’ve done that you then want to Take each one of these two end corners of your u and extend each one of those corners up by four so that’s one two three four and one two three four you then want to connect each one of those fourth blocks together and you also want To connect them back to the statue like this so you want to form a rectangular shape like that now you want to fill each one of those sides of that rectangular shape in with white wall so just as i’m doing now just fill in each one of those sides in with White well and that includes the top and the bottom as well so that’s the top filled in and then that is the bottom so if i can place those there we go that is what you want to have in total so far once you’ve formed this shape you now Want to come underneath your rectangular shape take out your two yellow wall and coming down from these two these two white blocks that i kind of have highlighted right now and i can’t really give you any better instruction than that can you guys see the two blocks i mean these two blocks right Here you from these blocks want to do two rows of 14 yellow coming down so that’s 14 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 and the other block as well which is just directly behind this row that i’ve Made so you just want to have those two rows of 14 yellow coming down like that once you’ve done that you then in front and behind of your two rows of 14 yellow starting from the third fourth and fifth blocks starting from the bottom you just want to have Two rows of free yellow coming out in front and behind of those rows so you just want to take the third fourth and fifth blocks on the front and the back of the rows that you’ve just made and extend them out in front and behind those two rows that you’ve made and that Will be spongebob’s first arm pretty simple i think not too complicated i hope once you’ve got that first arm taken care of we now want to do the exact same thing on the opposite side of the statue so coming on to the opposite side of the statue now starting from the Exact same position on this side as we did the other side this block right here you want to count in by two one two from this block do a row of four white wall coming out of the side of the statue one two three four then do a row Three going towards the back one two three connect that third block back to the statue then take each corner of the u-shape and go up on top of them by four one two three four and the other one two three four then connect each one of those fourth blocks back to the statue And connect them together just as i’m doing now then fill in the shape with white just as i did on the other side and this will be the sleeve of spongebob shirt we’ve just got the top to fill in now then we’ve got the bottom so i’ve just got the bottom here Once you’ve got all the sides filled in you take out your yellow wool and from these two positions right here these two middle blocks close to the edge of the sleeve you want to take these two go down each by 14 with your yellow one two Three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen and the back one as well once you’ve got your two rows of 14 you want to take the third fourth and fifth blocks extend them out by three either side in front and out of the back of the statue like that And once you’ve done that you’ve completed your spongebob’s arms and once you’ve completed both of your spongebob’s arms all we have to do now is get rid of these 13 placer blocks that we place to kind of like separate the legs a little earlier on and once You’ve done that you should be left with your 100 fully completed spongebob statue which is looking pretty good if you ask me ever so slightly creepy i will admit that it’s ever so slightly creepy but he’s looking pretty good i think he’s i think he’s pretty dead on with spongebob Now if you wanted to you could add a few bits of detail to him if you wanted to add some of the holes that spongebob does have around his head be my guest if you want to use actual sponge in place of yellow that’s completely fine it’s up To you it’s your statue you can use whatever colors you like however the reason that i’ve made him this way not only is it the easiest way to make him in my opinion but it is the best looking version you can use sponge if you want Like i’ve said a few of you guys actually recommended that on the skin statue version of spongebob that i made but uh i do think that this is the best looking version of him it i think it’s the easiest and i think it’s the the best detail that i could have really have Went for without making him a little bit too a little too crazy so hopefully you guys like this and i could have made them a bit thicker on the sides but i decided not to um i kind of like i said i feel as though this is the Perfect blend i uh i think i did a pretty decent job with this so this is your spongebob statue hopefully you guys like this i i hope that you guys like it this time that’s all i have to say hopefully you managed to make it no problem i do think It’s an easy enough statue to make and i will see you in the next video if you’d like to i’m
