Before we get started, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and click that notification bell to stay up to date on all future videos. Vanilla Minecraft is no stranger to survival gameplay, considering it is the game’s core premise. While new features are constantly added, the early game has remained relatively unchanged, constantly having players perform the same tasks to gather tools and items to make it to the end. This is completely redefined with terrafirmacraft, a Minecraft mod that reworks the entire survival experience by adding new world generation and realistic settings. Players will need to shape stones, create firepits, and work with gravity to survive and advance through the ages. Let’s go over how to install and get started with this mod. This mod is only available for versions 1.7. and 1.12.2, So keep that in mind when choosing if this is the right mod for you. Visit the TerraFirmaCraft CurseF the top of the page, press files to view all of the files. Find the version that you want to use and then use the download button to the right and save that file in a safe location for later. Next, head to the Apex Server Panel and then stop the server. Scroll down to the game file section and make sure the server is running the matching version of Forge to the mod that you just downloaded. After this, head to your FTP file access on the left hand side and log in and here, find or create the mod folder and then enter it. press the upload button in the top left and then drag and drop the mod file. Once it has 100% uploaded, head back to the main panel page. Once you’re there, you’re going to want to enter the config files on the left hand side, and the next go to the server settings area. Scroll down to the level type and then on the text field to the right, enter in tfc_classic in the text field. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, press Save, create a new world, and then restart the server. Make sure you have the matching version of Forge installed onto your computer before we start, which we do have a guide to if you need help. Open your Minecraft launcher and then go to installations at the top and hover over your forge profile and click on the open folder button. In the new window Find or create the mods folder and then enter it, and move the TerraFirmaCraft Jar Afterwards, return to the Minecraft launcher and click Play. As soon as you spawn into the world, you will notice some immediate changes to the game, including the new terrain spread throughout the world. These new trees and blocks will spice up your world, but they’re not the only changes that you’ll see. Replacing the original GUI, are new bars to display health, hunger, and thirst. Unlike vanilla, A player’s hunger will deplete even when standing still or sleeping. Health will still regenerate but very slowly. Over time, your thirst meter will mainly drop through sprinting and jumping, but it can be replenished by just right clicking some fresh water. To ge the first thing that you’ll want to focus on Is the various rocks and sticks littered throughout the world. You won’t be able to get wood from trees at this point, so you’ll have to right click on these items to add them to your inventory. Unlike vanilla Minecraft, you will need to actually construct the head and blade of all of your stone tools. This is done through the process of knapping. By right clicking a stack of rocks, a GUI will open, allowing you to chip away at the rocks to create shapes. Be mindful of the shapes, However, as any pieces that are removed can’t be restored. This is an axe head. It used to create a rock axe which can cut down trees and acquire fruit tree saplings. They are also an effective weapon for use against most enemies. With the rock hammer, flux stone and borax can be smashed to create blocks. You can also use it as a weapon just like vanilla. The rock hoe is used to create farmland from grass or dirt in order to grow crops. For a rock knife, while a weak melee weapon, its best use as a tool for various food, straw, and work with hides. Effective as a throwing spear, the rock javelin can be used to inflict piercing damage, although they can also be used in close range combat. The rock shovel will harvest blocks of dirt, clay, gravel and sand faster. It can also be used to harvest charcoal from a charcoal pit. To actually create the tools, combine the created rock head with a stick. While tools themselves are not stackable, the heads themselves are. This means you can spend time creating many rock heads and then just combine them with sticks whenever a tool breaks. You’ll now want to use your tools to begin gathering resources, starting with the trees. It will take slightly longer to break, however, the entire tree will collapse after one block is removed. This will drop logs, which can be used to make a firepit to cook and create items To create a firepit, you’ll first need to craft some fire starter. This is done by adding two sticks diagonal within the crafting GUI. After this, throw three sticks and one log on to the ground on a single block. When you’re ready, click and hold the fire starter on the block underneath to begin lighting it. Once it’s lit, quickly right click the new fire pit block to open its menu. You’ll want to quickly add more logs to keep the fire burning. In this menu, you can also keep track of the current temperature. Once the fuel has run out, the temperature will continue to drop until it is fully extinguished. To create torches, just add a stick to the fire pit. After a few seconds, you’ll get two torches which can be placed to light up an area normally. Keep in mind that torches in this mod are slightly more realistic and will only burn for two in-game days. To relight those torches, just right click one with a lit torch in your hand from your inventory. Those are just the basics to play terrafirmacraft. Jumping into the mod without any prior knowledge can be tough, especially when you’re used to vanilla Minecraft for so long, so we really hope this guide helps lighten the load. Once you have your fire pit and tools constructed, you’ll want to turn your attention to creating shelter for yourself and eventually find or to create better tools. Overall, the mod is a breath of fresh air compared to the repetitive nature of the base game, while also adding quite the challenge. That’s all for this one gamers. As always, I hope you have lots of fun. Thanks for watching. If you want to see more great content like this, then subscribe, or click these videos. Until next time, Gamers. Video Information
