Ultimate Mega Creeper Farm – Minecraft Bedrock 1.20!

Today I have for you probably the best creeper and gunpowder Farm you’ve ever seen this thing will get you over 2,600 gunpowder per hour you can build it pretty much anywhere and I’ll show you the couple of very basic rules you have to follow and I want to make sure I

Comment down below let me know how excited you are to see a super fast creeper farm for Bedrock Edition now our criteria for where to build is honestly pretty simple it has to be done in the Overworld it can be anywhere except for over top of something that could be

Classified as a river this little meeting spot right here probably classified as a river way out there in the middle of the ocean should be safe and anywhere overground or above ground is safe as well for most of you you’re going to be playing on simulation distance 4 unless you specifically

Changed it on your own if you’re playing in a realm if you’re playing in a server if you started a new single player world and you did not change simulation distance you’re probably playing on simulation distance 4 for simulation distance 4 you need to be at least 44

Blocks away from any type of land or spawnable surfaces that means you can start from the ground and go up about 44 blocks and you should be good to go although I will tell you if you have hilly terrain like this just simply going 44 blocks up from this point right

Here is probably not going to work because you have these blocks right here in a closer proximity than that so either go 44 blocks away from any type of like land formations that look like that and then go up to 44 blocks or go up 44 blocks from the highest point

Which would be like let’s say this right here if you’re playing on simulation distance 6 you need to go 96 blocks away from these types of surfaces and if you play on simulation distance eight or higher you need to go 128 blocks or more away always play it safe and give

Yourself a little bit extra room but with that being said I think this area right here looks like a good location to go okay here we are I put myself about 60 blocks in the air and we have marked our Center and honestly we want to keep

Track of Center throughout most of this cuz it’s going to matter for how we size things and where we put things so I’m just going to grab a block that looks a little bit different and plug it in my Center just to kind of help me keep

Track so from the center point right here where we’re standing this is actually going to be the Storage level we’re not going to do anything here quite yet although you could do this first if you want to instead what we’re going to do though is we’re going to

Count up 1 2 3 four and five and then we’re going to make another platform above the storage platform and this platform right here is going to be our AFK platform where we’re going to run the Trident killers and get our XP if we want to get the XP and that sort of

Thing now as we build this I’m going to be talking about things in terms of length of the platform and width of the platform the length is going to be the long side the width is going to be the pretty much like much shorter side the

Width of this thing we’re just going to go out six blocks in each Direction so that’s one two 2 3 4 5 and six 1 2 3 4 5 and six this will give us plenty of space we want to put things it could probably be a little bit smaller than

This but we’re going to play it safe and we’re going to go six blocks out each way now the other direction the long ways the length we’re going to actually go out 27 blocks in each direction from the center so starting with 1 2 3 4 5 26

And 27 26 27 now you can do this for top and bottom so Storage level and Trident Killer level and you’ll want to fill in this whole area okay and just to make it easy to kind of like get back and forth between these layers a little bit later

On cuz we will be going up and down a few times I’d recommend just pling in like an area where you have like a ladder or scaffolding or something like that just somewhere kind of like several blocks out maybe 10 12 15 blocks out from the center now we’re going to come

Back to these parts later but we actually need to know where our first level our first spawning level is going to be and exactly where we’re going to be dropping the mobs from that first spawning level so from the center right here we’re actually going to count up 25

Blocks and there’s a reason why we’re doing 25 blocks cuz 25 blocks is the like minimum area that mobs need to be away from you to be able to spawn so if I turn on this pack right here this is the spawning sphere mobs can spawn up to

25 blocks away from the player meaning they can spawn up to about right here anywhere closer than this they won’t spawn and it will be utilizing a lot of this area like from this height all the way around and as high as we can go into the like nonspawning Zone anymore uh

Keep in mind I’m going to be showing you the max size you can make this for a simulation distance 4 world but if you’re playing a simulation distance 6 eight or higher you can actually make this a pretty decent amount larger it is going to require you to kind of figure

Out on your own though how much larger you can make it cuz I do not have a spawning Sphere for that and I have not designed this Farm to maximize even further rates from these larger sizes and honestly I don’t think you’ll get much better rates than what we’re going

To get here although they will be better from this center point we’re going to go long ways the same distance we went long ways down there we’re going to go 27 blocks in each Direction long ways and then width we’re going to go 15 blocks out in each Direction let me fill that

In and I’ll give you final dimensions of which each of your platforms should be you’re going to want to double check this before you move on okay so what you’ve ended up with is a platform at the top that is 55 blocks long by 31 blocks wide and then the two platforms

Below that are also 55 blocks long but are 13 blocks wide and if you’re needing this much gunpowder I’m assuming you’re probably playing with friends I don’t know if you’re doing that on a realm or on your local world but the best place to play with friends is on a server and

Short side so we’re going to be going across the short side and we’re actually going to knock out three blocks all the way down we’re going to keep our center block for now just because we still want to have a mark on where the center is so

I do recommend leaving the center there but go ahead and knock out all of the other blocks now next thing you’re going to need to do is you’re going to need to go down another three blocks from this point and I can easily do this while flying in

Creative mode but just to show you guys super easy way to do this what you can do is just put down some water like this and just get underneath and count down one two three and then put like a what’s going to be a floor block right there

And then that’s how you can establish basically your floor to be able to walk on now what you’re going to do is do just that you’re going to make a floor out of this whole area now you should see what I mean by floor we basically just made like took this little slice

And lowered it by three blocks now we’re going to actually wall it in but when we wall it in we’re going to bump this side and this side out by one this is going to allow us to like ensure that none of our mobs like get stuck or anything like

That and then now what you’re going to want to do is go ahead and just wall the whole thing in and now what you should end up with is something like this where you have a little channel that is here now the next thing you’re going to do is

You’re going to place water across the channel like this and like this that water is going to flow eight blocks now what we’re going to do is we’re actually going to lower this by one more block starting right here you could do the same trick I showed you

Before and this whole floor right here is going to lower by that much going all the way down to where your water is all right add water again you’ll see it comes to a little Center Point right here now we need to make a little 2y drop so to do that we

We’re going to actually have to block off one side of the water it doesn’t matter what side just make sure you do the same side on the other two channels we’re going to do here in a moment so I’ll do something like this I’ll knock these blocks out Now now we’re going to change this into a two block hole it’s going to be pretty easy to do what we’re going to do is we’re going to throw a fence gate here a fence gate here a fence gate here and a fence gate here now if I put water here

And here you see that that water is pushing mobs forward into a 2X two hole which is what we need for our Trident killer now if mobs fall from this height they’re going to die on the way down so we’re actually going to get below it and we’re going to come down one

Two three and four now what we’re going to do now is we’re going to put a fence here fences here and we’re going to put water we just put like a single block of water should be fine right there now when mobs fall and hit this they’re

Going to fall all the way through and you can see this with of course and you can see this with the creeper I’m going to spawn in right here he’s going to flow over he’ll flow here he’ll flow down he’ll fall through that he’ll hit the ground and as you see he’s

Still alive but for a trident he’ll be one shot from Death bye-bye as you saw down here I was having mob spawn so you’re probably going to want to place some lights down too now this little funnel right here you can bring it the

Rest of the way down if you want to make it out of glass so you can like see the creepers fall down that’s always fun to see them fall to their death so I think that’s what we’re going to do here and when you bring it down bring it all the

Way down to like two above the ground we’re going to build a trid and killer there later but I want to set up our other little channels first and to do that we need to know where our mobs are going to be flowing now you don’t have

To mark this but at least marking one of them may be easier for you but we’re going to have mobs flowing in both directions so I’m going to go straight from my Center here I’m going to go one 2 3 four five 6 and seven now I’m going

To Mark a different block right here this is going to be like a new center point of where mobs can spawn and water is going to flow this will make sense to you a little bit later but we’re going to count out seven eight and then we’re

Going to go another seven one 2 3 4 5 6 and seven that’s a total of 15 blocks that we just did right there mobs are creepers are actually going to spawn in this area and then we’re going to have a two block Gap and we’re going to go

Another one 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and then on the eighth block we’ll put our like last spot there this is where our water source block is going to end up eventually going I’m going to do the same thing go the other direction there

So you should have a 15 block line a two block Gap and then an eight block line now where this Gap is right here you’re going to do the exact literally the exact same thing you did right here except since it’s two blocks wide instead of three the only thing you

Won’t have is this one little thing where we like condense the 3 y down to 2y I’m going to build it and I’ll show you okay we have all of our funnels in which should on your screen look something like this now we’re going to add in the Trident Killers this is a

Newer slightly easier Trident killer it’s not that much different than the current one the only difference is the collection system is a little bit different cuz we’re going to use mud blocks cuz mud blocks can actually allow items to be sucked in straight from a hopper instead of having to use a hopper

Mine cart so we’re going to put four mud blocks in in the middle and you can put your pistons on the left or the right it doesn’t really matter we’re going to put ours on the right so we’re going to face the right right right and right we’re

Now going to place solid blocks all the way around except for this spot right here we’re going to put a trapo next we’re going to place solid blocks on top of each of the Pistons then we’re going to make observers look outwards from the blocks then let’s place a lever right

Here by one of these any of them any of the blocks actually you know what we’re going to do one system one lever to control them all put a lever right here and we’re just going to run Redstone out this way we will need a repeater say

Somewhere right in here we’re turn this on we’re going to place a rail here here power rail here and here we’re going to take a few trdance I would say you could do one but two or three would be even better just to get the kills of the

Creepers a little bit faster two should be fine when it’s turned on this is what the tried and killer does it knocks a trident around any mobs that fall in there they’re going to die if I want to turn the whole system off I can just flick that lever right there it’ll turn

All of them off now the storage system super easy all we’re going to do is I’m going to place a temporary block here we’re going to face a hopper this way face all the other Hoppers into that one we’re going to place some double chest here and just face hoppers down into

Those chests like that all going into the chest now that’s our storage system if you want a bigger storage system or make it more complex buy all means go for it we’re only going to get gunpowder here so three double chests in each section should be more than enough

Although if you wanted to you could you could definitely like do something like this as well for more storage where you have this like whole big system that right there that would be a lot of gunpowder so go ahead and get all three modules set up in whatever way you do

The first one now what you should have is your storage area set up you should have a lever that controls all three Trident Killers you can see that one’s on that one’s on and that one’s on so at this point if any mobs do spawn in while

You’re building like as you get up to higher layers you’ll you’ll be collecting some of their drops down below if they don’t despawn before they hit but it it’s all set up that part’s ready to go now it’s time for the hard part yes what we just did that part was

The easy part what because what we need to do is we need to set up our rows here and we need to set up each level because once you get to a certain height the way each level looks changes a little bit first level though this one will be

Pretty straightforward you see what I did here well I’m going to mark this out all the way up and down that way you guys can see how these rows are going to lay out this is going to be more of a visual thing for all of you rather than

Something that you specifically have to do um because I want you to be able to see where and how these rows lay out to make it easy for you to build and yes I did try my hardest to make sure that this Farm is as easy as possible to

Build in survival mode that’s why we have the whole platform here because this is going to be the easiest way for you to go through and build this whole thing in survival because there are several extremely annoying parts to do okay so what I’ve laid here is all of

The spawning spots and for you where all of your scaffolding is going to go I’ll explain the mechanics of this once we have a layer together but basically starting with the here is you’re going to go out the 15 blocks we counted earlier all the way down and you’re

Going to put scaffolding down you’re going to hop across here you’re going to do it these eight blocks as well same thing for the opposite side and you’re going to do this every other row just how I have laid out here okay now where you should be at is this we have

Scaffolding on every single block that we’re supposed to and I was thinking about this the next easiest thing to do is probably going to be the trap doors so what we’re going to do is we’re just going to pick a side it doesn’t matter uh we can start on the edge I guess

We’re going to go up one two blocks and then we’re going to start placing trap doors we can get rid of those blocks we don’t need them to stay there we’re going to start placing trap doors beside all of the rows so basically all of these areas that are between the

Scaffolding all of that and including on the outside all of that needs to be trap doors all of it be careful not to fall in your water might not even be a bad idea to temporary cover this over if that’s something that you think is going

To help you out but the best thing to do is just to crouch down and just like place them across and then what I would recommend you do is just have extra trap doors just go ahead and just just come straight across and then remember to

Come back later and knock out these ones right here okay now what you should have is something like this we have trap doors at the top of the second block which is like basically like just above your head make sure that if you did this already you should have done it right

Your your trap doors should not be at that height on top of the second block they have to be here because this is what’s going to make Creepers spawn and nothing but creepers spawn now I was thinking about how I told you guys it might be a good idea to like temporarily

Cover this area back over you’ll punch it out later yeah I think I’m going to do that cuz this next part here it’s just going to make a lot of sense to do it because we’re now going to take fences and we’re going to wrap it on all

Of these areas that do not currently have anything on them so we’re just going to come across like this but we’re going to stop beside our scaffolding we’re not going to go out into this Gap that we’re going to eventually end up taking back out so just go through and

Put all of these fences down and do this over your entire area okay now what you should have is something that looks like this where you have rails on top of all of these blocks that surround all of the scaffolding and for this next part you

Could do one of two things um if you don’t mind the use of extra blocks leave all of these blocks here cuz there those solid blocks there they’re fine you can leave them but you don’t have to have them so if you want to save yourself on the blocks everywhere where there’s a

Fence you can take that block out if you want to also we need to make these edges non-s spawnable so just go ahead and put down like slabs buttons or or trap doors whatever on top of these little Parts cuz we do not want mobs to spawn on

Those parts now remember where we covered this area over I need to do the same over there I haven’t done it but we need to take fence gate and we need to place them at the end of each fence so that’s going to look something like this

Fence gate fence gate fence gate like both sides just like this what this does is it extends the fence out a little bit further so your creepers can’t get stuck on this little lip right here or get stuck like on top of these things as we go through we

Build that part okay so you’ll have fence gates all through there you have fence gates all through here but not in the middle not in the middle I mean it you could put them in the middle it’s not going to hurt anything but they don’t need to be there and then we have

The fence gates on this side so now what we’re going to do is we’re going to open this little area back up kind of be careful not to knock your fence gates out next what we’re going to do is we’re going to place a fence post like just

Behind each one of these scaffolding that’s on the edges so just across this side like this you can just put one down I mean you can run the whole row if you want to it doesn’t really matter but all you need is the one and then all the way

Down on the other side you don’t need that on on the middle at all just on the like edges the next thing we need to do is we need to get a water source up above where I’ve put the diamond blocks basically on the ends and then across

The center of the two like Center platforms where I put the diamond blocks so what we’re going to do is I’m just going to temporarily put down a solid block like all the way across here like this then I’m going to place water down and knock those solid blocks back

Out and hopefully not knock out my trap doors in the process and what you’ll see on each one one of those is the water runs all the way to the edge uh we’re going to do the same thing in the middle right here on that center block is where we’re

Going to be putting water as you can see the water flows all the way to the edge here all the way to the edge here and I’m going do this in these last like two sections that we have and then that actually completes a layer now I’m going to just put down our

Next layer that’s going to go right on top of that just the floor blocks real quick so I can explain to you guys how this works before we build up the next set of layers Above This which you have to stick by till the end because there

Some of the higher layers they’re a little bit different than the lower layers and I’ll I’ll show you and explain why here in just a bit okay now that we have a layer I can give a very brief explanation on how this works so a

Lot of you may know that the way that creep spawning works is they can spawn under 1.8 blocks height this is0 2 what’s left over is8 but you may be wondering and thinking well prow that that’s not the case because this right here is a full two blocks that means

Zombies can spawn here and skeletons and that sort of thing and you would be incorrect because mobs on Bedrock Edition spawn on the corners of blocks so the mobs will try to spawn like right here I don’t know Northwest East South I never pay attention to that the farm

Works the same regardless of what direction that you build it so the mob will try to spawn in the corner and since it’s trying to spawn in the corner it’s doing that height check so it’s looking for the 1.8 not only here but it’s also looking for it here so that

Means the mobs can spawn here we don’t have to have trap doors here because well a trap door here would do would do this it would block the water yes I know it doesn’t make sense but that’s how it works so we could put the trap doors in

Between the rows the creepers can spawn in between the rows and the water will push them out creepers and mobs on bettered rition can spawn with their SCA their feet inside a scaffolding and their head inside of water so this is a perfect way to flush them out and flush

Them down the only mom that can spawn here is creepers that’s it no spiders no zombies no skeletons I’m pretty sure baby zombies they they do the spawning mechanics of a zombie but then there’s just a chance that instead of a zombie it’s a baby zombie so no baby zombies

None of that you will only get creepers spawning in here that’s all so now when it comes to doing the next layer do it literally the exactly same as the layer below it except for the fact that you don’t have to like like make this whole Channel thing they’re just going to fall

Down so go set up all of your blocks first get all of your rows set up and then at the end go ahead and knock out these blocks in the middle and then you’re going to repeat that four times you’re going to make four layers you

Have one layer here make make a second a third and a fourth all exactly the same as you did this and then stop there because we’re going to do something slightly different above that so for this next layer I have covered up the two top like Center areas but I did not

Cover up the side areas at all so actually what I want to do with this is I want to get myself some slabs and then we’re going to put these down as bottom slabs not top so that’s bottom top would be right here we want these down as

Bottom slabs just over top of all the flowing water here um this will make it so the creepers will flow down without bobbing up and and slowing down and that sort of thing so we just want to make sure that they keep bobbing just like this okay so the next thing you’re going

To do once you have all of these covered over with bottom slabs is you’re going to repeat this layer and this layer exactly as they are up one okay now you should have something like this where we took that like two middle set of platforms we move that up one layer now

What we’re going to do is we’re going to add in some more half slabs but we’re going to add them in just past this point right here cuz we’re no longer going to flow mobs this way so what we’re going to do is we’re going to put

That right there and bring this across and we’re going to do this on all of this side and then on all of that side okay so now you should have something that looks like this where it starts just on the other side of water source block because going from here to here

We’re going to take all of this layer and we’re going to bring it up one more time and then block off the back side I’ll show you what I mean once I have it in and here we go the top layer is in and we have the little back stops there

Just like we’ve done like over there it’s the same thing and let me just show you really quick why we did things this way and that’s if if I set up the spawning sphere again you’ll kind of see how things work so our spawning begins right above the top of the sphere where

Mobs are allowed to start spawning in you see how that pretty much perfectly aligns right there and then if we go all the way up to the top here you see that everything is inside of this Red Zone o looks like we are very slightly outside

Of it right here but just by like one block and just on the corner so only the corner is like that’s pretty much the only spawning spot we’ve made this thing as large as we can possibly make it and that’s why as we got up here we didn’t

Continue this out because we wouldn’t have really any spawning spots except for the very center um and the top yet again we shrunken in even more just to kind of fit with the fact that we’re in a sphere now you could if you have this

Tool which you can only get if you’re on PC by the way you can make this Farm bigger on your own if you want to um and it will you know slightly increase the rates if you extend these out extend these out further so by all means if you

Feel like expanding on this do it but we do have one more thing we have to do because this Farm is not quite yet ready but it is almost there and that is the fact that we need to cover this entire thing over to make it to where it is

Dark all the time you can do this one of two ways you could put it inside of a big box so basically wall off the sides go up and then put a ceiling on the top which I’m going to have to show you how

To do that in a second either way or you could just put a really big platform above it to block the light out as well so I’ll leave it up to you in terms of which way you want to do it but I’m going to show you the way that you’re

Going to do it to block out the light just by putting on a big flatform on the top and that is that you have to go out 16 blocks in each direction from the outer side of the farm so this is one outer portion of the farm so we’re going

To go out 16 blocks from here and the reason that we’re doing this is because we need a light level of zero for this Farm to work we’re going to come over here and we’re going to come out 16 from the edge here I’m just going to like

Bring it up to the same level as what we already have there and we’re do that on all four sides all right there we go so I’ve made a big box here I’m going to fill it in here in just a moment but we are 16 blocks out from each side of the

Farm so we’re going to fill in this whole area and then after you do that you’re going to put slabs on top of it the reason we do that is because it allows the top layer to be a surface spawn which gets you a little bit higher mob cap which will basically improve

Your rates by a pretty decent amount and then all the other layers below those will all be cave spawn layers so after you’ve got this in go ahead and fill the whole thing in okay here we go we have the roof on it we have all of our spots

Blocked that need to be blocked in all of our spots available that need to be available so if I go in and I turn on Mob spawning we should start to see creepers spawning in let’s go down to what our AFK spot would be let’s even

Get ourselves a looting uh we could just hold a book on us would be fine turn on the Trident killer hold on just a minute for the creeper to spawn in and start dropping there we go there’s one there’s another okay yep there’s more the center one is where most of the

Spawning spots are available and where everything is filtered to so you’ll see many more in this Center one than you will any of the other ones and then when you’re afking you just want to stay somewhere you pretty close to the center um that way all of your uh spots are

Available for spawning you could maybe even jump up on the rail I think technically our Center Spot is just on the other side like diagonal from the this block so standing right here is probably the overall best spot for us to stand all right and after letting this H

For about I don’t know maybe 30 minutes or so look at what we got here already look at all of this gunpowder just from sitting here for a pretty short period of time like I said this thing will get I think what did I say about 3600
