I don’t need it I don’t need it I definitely don’t need it I don’t need it I don’t need it let me ask you a question. Have you ever tried to measure something that wasn’t there? Because that’s what I’ve been dealing with the past week, and you’re gonna learn what that’s Like today whether you like it or not. “The yardstick is like right there come down here and oh that’s almost perfect yeah that is perfect so that’s like three foot.” We talk about a lot of things on this channel, I’ve given you horse facts. “Meaning in Skyrim the horses are at the Top of their food chain.” I’ve given you my friend’s social security number “I don’t even know if he’s recording. I live at (censored) My name is (censored) My social security number is (censored)” But now I’m giving you home ownership again. Skyrim homes in VR were fantastic, are fantastic But I wanted more control I wanted to be able to build something that I could walk around in without bumping into [ __ ] IRL “ow” So I decided to build my house in Minecraft VR. Not my room, My house, to scale, which was a problem and a half for many reasons. “It’s gonna be eight feet tall I just, I need to do half blocks because that would be three… wait a minute The first major problem that i ran into is that and I don’t know if you know this but everything in Minecraft is a square. Not everything in the real world is a square. “You okay? I don’t kno-” when I measured my room it came out to an anxiety-inducing 11 feet by 10 and a half feet. Not to mention that in both vr and r we have to deal with three dimensions not just two and my room was also eight foot tall. “what about invites? I’m not getting any invites. Oh I haven’t sent any yet that’s probably why” unfortunately since the Blocks are three feet by three feet, unless your house is built in multiples of three, It’s not going to work out so I had to get creative “because this had look here’s the problem this wall right here this curve This this turn in the wall starts right here so I had to use a fence right here” using fences and half blocks worked fairly well but every time I used them I was only getting some of the way there And so I was losing a little bit of accuracy every time and what happened was the farther away I got from my room the more out of sync the house became “that’s the the that’s the thingy These are the couches that’s the fireplace the two sliding doors are they off they’re off by one hang on hang on oh [ __ ]” walking around my room pretty solid I know where my walls are where my Bed is and I can get out the door but my goal here, and I probably should have said this earlier, is to walk the entire length of my house. I want to put my laptop on an extension cord, hold it with The oculus controllers dangling from my wrists, and walk through my virtual house. Why? I don’t know. “no okay that scared me that actually scared the [ __ ] out of me because this is like my house now Uh I don’t uh now i’m looking out the real window and expecting to see oh I hate that oh” the second problem I ran into was finding something to sit down on. This was kind of a surprise to me I thought I could just sit down on any block that I place but I could not find a single chair anywhere in my house that was as tall as a block. Every time I went to sit down on something I would sink into the block up to my nipples this is not ideal and I want to be able to sit down and relax and just enjoy the space because when you play vr you’re standing most of the time And for a smooth brain like me my legs get tired and i really want to sit down but i can’t sit down and relax if i’m sinking up to my nipples every time i sit down. So that was a problem, and honestly I never fixed it. The stairs work okay, uh, but you still feel like your back is being cut off by the stairs “this is still not ideal” it is a perfect 90 degree angle because again SQUARES uh and it Listen it’s a it’s okay it’s not ideal but it’s gonna get the job done “all right” {Very special background noises from Emily} {Special Noises Intensify} I hope my mic picks that up. I really do. (Are you recording?) No of course not” When I did finally finish the house my Anxiety level only grew because now i had to try and figure out how to walk through the whole thing and thank god i only have a one-story house stairs sound like not only an incredibly difficult thing To accomplish but also pretty [ __ ] dangerous too but thankfully i didn’t have to deal with that so i got the extension cord out i plugged it in i had my controllers ready to go and then this happened I’m going to pick up the Lap- no, I’m going to open the real door first so let me do that and we’ll start okay that noise that you just heard that i did not hear at the time was the sound of the extension cord Coming out of the wall and now i had no more power coming into my laptop so the resulting slideshow that you’re now looking at is because i’m running off of only battery power we’re here sort of wait A minute why is that oh no i did make it through the whole house though i did do it it was just at one frame for 15 minutes it wasn’t perfect i was walking through the kitchen wallets it’s Most of the time going through the kitchen but i did make it out into that tv area and that worked fine uh it was a little out of sync and also more importantly certain sides of the blocks Weren’t even loading in so the game was really at this point just falling apart at the seams but i did it i did do it even though again it was kind of just a slideshow Why did i do this ladies and gentlemen it wasn’t all bad i mean being able to reach out and actually touch a wall where there was a wall there that that completes the whole illusion there’s Not much more that walls can do and so when you reach out and you touch a wall that’s it it feels really convincing it’s actually really cool it’s not like something it’s not like a human where there’s more things than just touching a human like i can’t wherever there’s a person just put Like a raw turkey there and reach out and poke it you know i mean i can’t [ __ ] the turkey i mean i guess i could [ __ ] the turkey but thank you everyone thank you for taking the time It really does mean a lot to me i know i say this every time at the end of every video no matter how stupid whether it’s roblox whether it’s minecraft or any other game designed for children I always appreciate you sticking with me and i i hope you have a good rest of your day because why not so go have a good day or go have a good rest of your night get some good sleep do do whatever you got to do just go do it that’s it goodbye You Video Information

Building my house in Minecraft VR is not the greatest decision I have ever made. But it also was not the worst. Virtual Reality and Reality Reality are already slightly different. let alone VR in Minecraft where everything is a square. I hope it was a interesting 8 minutes for you though. Watching a random tiny YouTuber’s Minecraft video is the purest form of charity. Reading their video descriptions? Well. That’s going way above and beyond the call of duty. Comment Call of Duty down below so I can give you the recognition you deserve. Plus it will be beyond confusing for everyone else. Like this video, Love yourself. Peace!
