In today’s video i’m bringing back a one-off vanilla version of an old series build versus so let’s do one of those old intros i used to do one man one woman go head-to-head in a build battle for one time only ladies and gentlemen So lizzy welcome back to build versus what year is this eh hey it’s been a while it’s been a while but this time we are on vanilla minecraft because we don’t use those mods anymore do we no modsurfer modder for 2000 wait what year is it it’s 2022 at the Moment mozart for 2012. wait okay i mean it wasn’t that long ago since we did the series but anyway as you can see we’ve got a new arena as well and if you can’t tell yours is the one with your face and mine is obviously minus this one No not correct um and we don’t have a leaderboard because this is just a one-off vanilla build versus meaning whoever wins this wins the entire series as this is i didn’t agree to that no what wait what you might win oh hello welcome back just kidding did i look Like a man for a second there no what okay because you look like steve i am a man what oh yeah all right so for this one-off build versus i thought we would get ready for the new version of minecraft coming out which is the wild Update so the theme is going to be wild yeah okay frogs frogs frogs so we have pretty much unlimited time are you ready to get building yep i’ll see you in about two weeks two weeks okay this is a big plot yeah it’s a big Plot you’d have to use it all oh yes i do because i know you’re gonna use all of yours uh maybe first of all this plot is not looking very wild it’s looking pretty tamed that is the point you have to make it wild forgotten i see as well Did it it’s been too long joel you do slash set oh yeah it’s coming back to me now nice oh yeah oh that looks wild what i’ve just done that is what i would describe as mine looks not wild oh that’s a shame for you what are you doing there you’re just standing Still trying to do some world in it okay i thought you were peeking no people oh no sorry it’s been a while since i’ve used world day as well it’s not going great at the moment My i made a mistake with this was a what type of mistake an ugly one i just think this could take me a while okay well i’m gonna say i’m just trying to figure out a way to make it faster with world edit but i don’t think there is a Way i think i’ve just gotta do every block by hand what are you trying to do maybe i can help you no because then i would be telling you what i’m gonna do what’s wrong what’s wrong nothing’s wrong i’m just doing a bit of terror farming What about you own wild experience all i can say is this is wildly hideous okay does that count uh yeah so it’s not based off the wild update you’re not Gonna go fly a biome or anything like that it’s just really ugly uh i don’t really know how to fix it start from scratch no this is either going to make or break it some grass is going to make or break it yes it reminds me of old times when you Say oh it’s ugly joel and then it’d be really nice so i’m just not having any expectations here but actually being ugly i might just i might just leave that start on the ground what do you mean start on the ground what have you been doing this entire time oh yeah i Didn’t really kind of explain what i was doing no well i don’t you don’t want to give it away don’t read too much into this question but what color are snails snails brown i guess yeah there’s a lot of brown options in this game out there Yeah i’ve built a tree oh sort of spoiled that oopsy oops now you know i’ve built a tree quite like my uh definitely not tree why is there a ball of sand over in the distance floating in the air what i could see a little sphere of sand Where if you look uh south west maybe it’s just on my screen but it’s just floating over there it’s quite far away oh am i there oh it’s gone maybe it hit the ground when you’ve moved over there but yeah it was oh no i’m lost i’ve made a snake I’ve made a wooden snake it actually looks really good that’s a snake i mean snakes are pretty wild so because it’s not meant to be a snake uh what’s it meant to be a snail how do you know because you asked me what color a snail Is you weren’t meant to read too much into that okay sorry apologies what a snail’s eyes look like again don’t read too much into this a snail’s eyes well they have like you could use two copper like lightning rods kind of look like snails eyes don’t they i’m taking some risks Ah you’ve gone for an eyeball didn’t pay off it’s terrifying i don’t want to see that ever again are you using an actual eyeball on a snail that would look very weird oh yeah they don’t have eyeballs like us do they no they have those little sticks Oh yeah they have eyeballs on stick yeah like a lightning rod like i said can snails look one way and then the other way or do they always have to look one way uh i don’t know i don’t really know much about snails to be honest with you Me and vanilla minecraft don’t exactly work well together what you mean doesn’t work well together i just don’t know how to use normal block in an appropriate way you didn’t even say blocks you said that so like i just don’t know how to use normal block this is actually Looking really cute what i’ve done it i’m quite happy oh what the heck stop flexing it just looks cute i’m sorry i can’t help it that’s so cute oh we used to do this we had chisel and bits you could do some quite good details for if you’re making say an animal But small animals in a vanilla minecraft quite hard to make yeah that is the issue what i’ve just done is oh it’s so ugly it truly is i just had made that circle for no reason didn’t have to did it anyway is it a good circle at least yeah it’s nice Circle actually this looks cute but no it doesn’t i would be lying i thought oh this is actually looking quite good then i looked at it again i was like no it’s not no it’s definitely not oh dear all right that’s gonna have to do what just this figure currently trying to build Oh i thought you’d looked at my build no i’ve not looked at yours i wouldn’t be laughing at yours i’m sure it’s great how’s it coming along lizzy oh it’s coming along nice very slowly like a snail i would say okay is yours going to be completely All about snails joel it’s just the snail okay that’s so wild i’m just having fun you know just doing some wacky stuff i don’t know why i’ve chosen to build so many of these things when i just can’t build you’re just copying and pasting him no i’m building loads of different things and Animals they’re all animals aren’t they yeah and i suck at building animals that’s why i just built one giant snail i just hedged my bets on the snails unfortunately you’re building it it did not pay off it didn’t pay off joel you just built one snake yes i built one snail is that A problem i’m just confused you were asking about frogs earlier and you built a snail i was excited about the frogs okay honestly i got a little confused and i thought i would be able to put frogs in but now i’m realizing that they’re not in this version of minecraft no they’re Not the snail doesn’t really hit right without the frogs but that’s okay i’ll work with it that’s that’s something oh this is so bad i think people could probably tell what it’s meant to be it just looks nothing like what it’s going to be yeah we’re going to leave that one that’s a A little treat for you when you see it i’m sure i’ll get a good laugh because it’s definitely not going to be a wow that’s cool because it’s definitely not that’s probably going to be the one i like the most yeah you do you know no it definitely isn’t ew that’s kind of Gross what have you done i did something and then the thought of it actually happening is really gross if you were to make giant pieces of grass not that that’s what i’m doing but if you wanted to do that what would that look like i guess it looked like some Bits of grass that giant i don’t know i’d use like leaves or something like that i’d guess but no it’s quite hard because grass is quite thin all right i’m done with mine i’m happy with it apart from one i’m almost done this is the only part i’m not happy with but Every other part i’m happy with and it’s pretty wild oh yeah i forgot that was the theme i mean i knew that was the theme i’m excited to see your theme of snail all right i’m ready let’s look at mine first because i’m expecting yours to be better all right Welcome to the wild come over here lizzy this is where the the trail starts so i went for wildness and what’s wildness without life yeah that’s a mangrove tree my attempt at building a mangrove tree and we’ve got on the left here some frogs look birds no they’re flies Cute but the flies are like the size of her head yeah i know there’s some big flies they can one will feed their family for a week they’re just very lucky uh these frogs that they live in a world where the flies are big anyway we’ve got some parrots Here because i didn’t know what to put here but look parrots aren’t they cool aren’t they cool oh yes yes look at them jive enough of that over here drinking from the waterfall we have a moose are you sure it’s not vomiting into the water no the water is dripping Out of its mouth i love his shoes thank you they’re really cute there’s hooves not shoes come on animals don’t have shoes no they’re little boots our little booties he’s got little babies little boots oh watch out you’re going to be swallowed anyway if we move on over here On the right we have our gorilla king kong it well no it’s that’s actually uh not as big as king kong it’s king kong jr i see he’s got a nose he’s cute yeah i was not super happy with that but i’m a lot happier than my giraffe which Is this thing here that’s an elephant no no no no not that oh this oh there’s an animal here oh my gosh it was just so well camouflaged into the surroundings what do you think of the giraffe lizzy i kind of like it i’m not gonna lie i Think it’s very unique it’s yeah unique aka he doesn’t have eyeballs yeah he doesn’t want them there’s not of space but you noticed a second ago look an elephant has appeared it is much better i’m quite happy with my elephant in comparison to my giraffe This is huge yeah it’s not real scale as you can see by the fact the moose is also massive and the flies are huge also everything is fantasy and then finally speaking of giant frog and look he’s eating one of those flies that couldn’t feed his Family for a week that could only feed him double jointed uh he’s a frog he’s a toad actually not a frog toads are double-jointed yeah do you know that toad’s a double-jointed i don’t know if you’re i’m just making that up but it could be true it could be true so yeah pretty Wild am i right is it would you say this is wild really nice this is cool it’s like a fun adventure park yeah with all the animals that are completely different scales to one another i’m gonna warn you now mine doesn’t have nearly as many animals as this okay i’m Just expecting one big snail this is a snail oh my gosh oh wow oh this all the terraforming looks so good what the heck that’s so is it though yeah honestly i really like it like the amethyst crack oh my gosh and the snail is yeah there’s A lot going on so um the snail has a house on it you can live in the house oh wow that’s so cool it’s not decorated oh no i don’t know what happened to me i turned into you for a second there wow okay the snail itself though is so cool what the Heck i love it i love the snail so much like and he is slowly going towards his favorite mushroom the glow in the dark mushroom look at that that is special what the heck all right you win like i’m not even gonna let it vote because what this Snail is amazing like when you said it’s a big snail the snail is so good it looks so much like an actual snail the swirl it looks so mystical and magical it’s not completely symmetrical swirl but i love it anyway i think it looks so good it works i told you that’s why People love this nail is his in-symmetra unsymmetricalness his asymmetry the house is weird how like on this side the roof the roof is very unsymmetrical as well is it because it’s moving yeah sure it or is that not on purpose like it sticks out on this Bit and then you got a roof on the right i like to call it higgledy piggledy a higgledy piggledy okay well wow that’s amazing i i love the snail so much this is awesome i love the snail the terraforming is great as well i really like your terraforming
