Hey guys Wells Knight here and welcome back to another episode of 15 minute builds and in today’s episode we are going to be building two things actually as many of you know I’m working on a dwarven underground city in my hermit craft base in or in my hermit craft Series I should say and what I want to do for today’s 15 minute builds are two details that I can add into that base one of them is basically a dwarven head statue with lava coming out of it that you could use for lighting purposes and The other one is a big hammer like a big ornamental hammer that you can mount on the wall so pretty much just details that you could add to a giant room that have a very dwarven feel to them and they’re all made using the materials in The hot bar right now except one of them also requires a bucket of lava but that’s it so without further ado actually you know what let’s just go ahead and clear out this real quick this doesn’t count as part of the as part of the build we’re just laying down a Foundation to work with there we go so without further ado let’s go ahead and get right to building I’m gonna put 15 minutes on the clock starting right now so the first one that we’re going to build is the statue and to build the statue we will plop down a cobblestone Block right there two stone bricks another cobblestone block a cobblestone wall and then a few more cobblestone blocks will do for this is the handle okay now back here we’re going to knock out those two and put down gold blocks just like that and then right here see If I can do this from this angle well put you know what let’s just knock out those make it a little easier there we go we’re going to go ahead wheel mmm I don’t like that just kidding we’ll go this way so we’re going to put down stone brick stairs just Like that okay and then we’re going to take stone brick slabs like this and stone bricks like that so pretty easy right you just got a big hammer that goes on the wall and actually looks pretty hammer like you could add in another cobblestone wall down there if you’d Like or maybe one on top how would that look that uh yeah it doesn’t look bad we’ll stick with it we’ll go with it it’s fine the next one is the Dwarven head statue and this one is a lot harder so first things first knock out a hole Right here because this is where the lava is going to flow into so that’s very very important okay now we’ll come up here and the first thing we’re going to do is on the bottom half of the block we’re going to go one two three with stone brick slabs just like that then We’ll put a cobblestone stair here two cobblestone slabs like that and this block behind those slabs we’re going to put gold blocks again alright pretty easy then we’ll put a stone brick stair right here this is kind of forming our face if you can’t tell we’ll put a stone Bricks tear there and there with regular stone brick blocks underneath it and an upside-down stone brick stairs here and here so it looks kind of like a helmet then we’re going to take cobblestone stairs and put one turned that way and that way we’ll put an upside-down cobblestone stair like that and then Underneath that we’re going to go one two three with cobblestone blocks okay now back here this is where our lava is going to go so just put a block back there it doesn’t really matter what kind and then down here put some stone stairs like that then we’ll go Ahead and take a lava bucket and we’ll just drop that in there and let it flow on down to provide our light pretty awesome I like it it turned it works now you may want to do something around here around the base to kind of you know Catch the lava make it look like it’s being caught or however you want to do it let me grab some stone brick walls there we go maybe add some stone cobblestone walls around it like so to make it look a little bit more protected or something like it’s walled off I don’t know However you want to do it it doesn’t really matter now the other thing I’d recommend is if you’re going to do this I would highly highly encourage you to detail the walls a bit as well so to do that we’ll take I’m probably will need some stone because I’m going to mess Something up at some point we’re going to grab stone brick andesite smooth stone and cracked stone bricks and basically we’re just going to knock out random blocks here and there like so and we’re altima to end up doing this on all of on both builds but we’ll go like that And then we’ll do the same over here we’ll just do one layer at a time there we go whoo and maybe one here couple there and maybe like that and one like right here so I got our andesite kind of mixed in there now let’s mix in some Regular stone bricks and these you want to probably do a bit more of ah not that one let’s just kind of mix them in you want to basically what we’re doing here is we’re making it look like the wall has been built up but it’s kind of Worn down that’s kind of the effect that this ends up providing let’s put regular stone there how does that look that looks pretty good yeah I think that’s pretty good and then we’ll go ahead and do that over here as well and maybe they’re actually not there Let’s put smooth stone there and we’re just kind of mixing in these textures as I said there’s no real like right or wrong way to mix those in but you can see that already looks a lot more interesting than it did before and then we can make it even a little bit more Interesting by maybe mixing in a little bit of crack stone as well maybe like here and there oh come on there we go just little bits of it you don’t want to go overboard with the crack stone I think because then it looks a little bit Too worn down and that’s not the look we’re going for here but just maybe a little bit here and there and maybe one like right there yeah that looks pretty good to me that looks pretty awesome I like it quite a lot actually and I know this was A shorter build but we got not one but two builds done and I think I am going to go ahead and call this one done right here at 6 minutes and 49 seconds so there you have it guys if you enjoyed this video don’t forget to Like In this episode of Minecraft 15-Minute Builds, I’ll be showing you how to build a couple things that would add detail to a dwarven city in Minecraft 1.9!
15-Minute Builds is the series where I show you how to create things in Minecraft that take only 15 minutes or less to build! These builds are all fairly simple and easy, but they are also pretty cool and/or useful. They translate well into survival mode, and although they may be somewhat basic, they can certainly be improved upon afterwards!
