Hello everyone sonny here and welcome back to another episode of bug rock of the week today we’ll be taking a look at a lot of the recent bug fixes in the bedrock edition of minecraft all too often do we focus on the bugs issues and glitches in bedrock edition we don’t Normally give enough credit to the developers for all of the many many many things that get fixed every single update so that is going to be the focus of today’s video oh and by the way a lot of these bugs i have actually covered in bug rock before so if you’re a long-term Fan of the series you might recognize some of these and even if you don’t recognize some of these you might learn something new so stay tuned first up we got some redstone aboga fixes if you remember in previous updates whenever a piston would break a shulker box or Other items oftentimes the shulker box would end up in the actual piston head so the item would be like right there and oftentimes this would result in shulker boxes being despawned in your shocker loaders and unloaders this bug has been completely fixed i have not Been able to replicate it and this is a very very good one to be gone in the history books so many issues were surrounding the shulker loaders and nowadays i don’t believe there’s very many at all it’s quite good another storage related bug that has now been Removed is hoppers would be able to magically pick up items when they should not be able to so in this little kind of configuration this hopper would be able to pick up a shulker box or something else like that through the corner of the block and it would eventually go into The chest this of course caused massive issues and massive headaches for so many different types of storage systems villager crop farms that use the food sharing mechanic once again work on a bedrock edition these things have basically been broken since village and pillage update was introduced and they’re basically like the nicest form Of crop farm but basically you have a farmer going around harvesting crops whenever this guy’s inventory gets a little bit of food in it he then tries to share some food with a hungry villager and then we just kind of collect everything into a hopper a super Basic and super easy type of crop farm and they’ve been broken for basically the longest time but they once again work on bedrock and they are so nice to have this next one is really easy to show the pancape did not render when you had an elytra on in previous updates so Basically your elytra was just straight up invisible or the wrong texture or stuff like that it was really quite very annoying but nowadays as you can see it does render on the elytra just fine and there’s no issues at all by the way the pancake is this cape right here and you Actually get this from joining in and the betas it was also extremely buggy in previous updates as well because you were only supposed to have it while in the betas but you could get it in the main game like how we have it right now and all that issues have been fixed so It’s really nice you can now enjoy your pancakes next up we have another redstone related bug this one luckily never made it into a full release so it was beta only and this shows the power of beta testing so basically observers were completely broken and at any time They would observe a block update they would send a constant signal regardless of if they got another block update in front of them or whatnot so basically they would break literally every single contraption ever it was terrible it got fixed within the betas therefore we never saw it in the main game switching Gears back to villagers for a moment they have finally fixed the bong where villagers would not link to workstations beds and things like that so in previous updates you might have a situation like this where you have a random villager in your world and it just absolutely refuses to connect to Any workstations or any beds this should no longer happen and is overall a much a smoother experience so this has been one of the biggest issues with villagers since they were updated in the village and pillage update and it is such a nice thing to not have to Worry about anymore thank you for getting this one fixed next up we have a bug that was reported as fixed however it is not actually fixed at all so before you hear we can see the normal grass of the double tall grass a single fern and then a larger fern so we’re Just going to go ahead and pick block the grass the double tall grass the fern and then the large fern now you’ll notice that whenever we try to big plock the small fern it takes us to the grass item on our hot bar as you can see there We can’t actually pick block this and creative now if we throw out the small grass and then pick block it of course we can get the fern back into our inventory but now we can no longer pick block the short grass as you can see i’m Trying to pick block that one and it does not allow me to get it so i have to throw this one out of the inventory in order to pick block of that one now and it is just quite silly you may have forgotten about this already but slime chunks and swamps did Not spawn any slimes for quite a while and this is kind of a recurring bug that has happened several times in the history of bedrock edition it’s actually kind of surprising just how many issues slimes have had on bedrock regardless of the bug is now fixed yet Again and we now of course can farm the lovely cute little slimy guys you almost certainly have a special place in your heart for this next bug where items smelted prior to 1.13 would not smelt with items after 1.13 so basically they would not stack together this has actually been fixed so Now things will correctly stack together once more and previous updates these two stacks would not combine together it’s really quite annoying and this affected basically everything that you could smell to everything from fish and food to blocks and items and not only that it would prevent you from actually trading Some of these things to villagers or using it in composters and overall they were basically just completely broken items that lost a lot of their uses a very long time bug having to do with mob pathfinding has been partially fixed so mobs in general just cannot pathfind over short blocks like the enchantment Table or celabs or soul sand but as you can see they have fixed a few of the blocks of zombies and of course other mobs can now perfectly fine walk over any of these items and previous updates they just would not do it at all they wouldn’t recognize that there was Actually a block there to pathfind over now keep in mind that this bug is not fully fixed there’s an entire other bug report that i made that covers all of the other short blocks in the game but that are still affected and there are many many blocks in the game that mobs Just simply cannot pathfind over so if you want to see this bug get fully fixed instead of partially fixed make sure to upload that bug report i went ahead and retested all the blocks once again for the current 1.16.200.1 whatever update we’re currently playing in these are the blocks that cannot be Pathfinded over at all these are the ones that have some pretty major issues with pathfinding including the chest and trap chest and these are the ones that still work perfectly fine so as for the major issues this has to do with basically spinning pathfinding off of Them and jumping and falling off of them so as you can see they don’t really you know work that well as for the no pathfinding at all these are basically blocks that they simply won’t try to pathfind over and the slightest as you can see they don’t even Recognize that there is a block there at all if you put a block underneath those blocks then they realize that they can walk onto it but only because they are trying to walk onto that block right there so this bug is mostly only an issue when there is air blocks beneath The blocks in question however it is still a pretty major issue back to some more redstone issues we have another one that was very annoying basically whenever you would have a vertically extended piston with a gravity blocks above it whenever the piston would retract downwards all the gravity blocks Above it would shatter and break off into items it was a very very annoying bug and it broke all kinds of hipster doors sand doors and that kind of things along with various other contraptions but as you can see it has now been fixed and we can now have our lovely piston Doors you either really enjoyed using this next little bug or you really really hated having to deal with it but basically whenever you would stand on top of a shulker box and then open it that would crash the game for anyone else around you and basically make them Freeze forever or making them close their device or close the game or just force quit and it was a really really annoying thing but has now of course been fixed you can now go ahead and stand on top of all of these shulkers you like and enjoy the fun little ride Of riding up and down i’m a little bit unnaturally happy about this next bug fix because this has been around since like 1.5 literally like right after the update aquatic and that is that the tops of bubble columns only flow a one block to the side i’ve showed this probably About a dozen times or so now but it is finally fixed if we update that water it once again it will all flow to the side like it properly should it is so nice to see you have no idea how annoying it is to contend with this bug while building Water elevators and storage systems and waterways it is now properly fixed and is just the best thing to see it’s been around since 1.5 ridiculous yet another redstone bog i guess the last one was kind of red stoney but this one is more red stoney powered rails will now be properly powered before These things would be technically powered by like this powered block but the rail itself would be unempowered and it just wouldn’t realize that it’s actually powered but it was actually powered but it wasn’t and it’s just a really big headache and it kind of broke A lot of things but now they are a little bit more smart and realizing that hey i’m powered maybe i should turn on a rather silly bug that i haven’t really heard of before is that the brewing stand acted like a danger zone a danger zone being something like lava that Would kill or damage the player upon login so whenever you would log out in on or near a brewing stand when you log back into the game you would be teleported to a safe location where the brewing stands could not get to you with their terrible terrible poisonous Potions basically but as you can see this has now been fixed i can stand on in or near all the brewing stands i like and the game won’t care at all which means that i’m in extreme danger don’t trust it’s the brewing stand next up we Have a skin related bug that you may not have noticed but the left and right legs of most skins were just mirrored versions of one another so basically it was the same exact texture on both sides kind of like how this skin is by default it’s basically just the same texture on Both sides however if we would switch over to like this skin right here that specifically has a different texture on each side then as the game would basically make it so that you know there was the same texture on both sides and that was obviously a very annoying thing You couldn’t have two unique legs because they would just be exactly the same on both sides but now that has been fully fixed to be clear i don’t think that this blog affected every skin in the game i think it only affected certain marketplace skins however a lot Of people use marketplace skins as they are the most easily accessible so of course this was still a pretty wide-ranging bug there have been many bug fixes with bees over the previous updates however one that does not get talked about that often is that bees will no longer forever leave their hives In previous updates they would just leave their hive and then start flying around the world exploring on their own and they would never come back even if they had pollen and the recent updates it’s been changed so that bees won’t travel too far from their hives that way They are always able to return and enter their hive which means that you can now actually let your bees just be out in the wild you don’t need to build an enclosure around them a very disorientating bug has finally been fixed and this has to do with while You’re riding a mount and changing camera positions so if you change from first person or second person or a third-person camera position it would basically snap you to the southern direction so for example if you were riding a horse going east and then you changed your camera position bam you Would all of a sudden be looking towards the south and you would be driving your horse south possibly off a cliff and that would not be a very good thing at all so that bug has finally been fixed it was a super disorientating bug a super confusing and just not a very Friendly bug either i will not miss it a pretty weird one that i was not aware of until recently is that the knockback enchantment on swords and weapons did not apply to players from a 1.13 all the way to 1.16 so as you can see if we hit this pig With knockback 2 sword it’ll go flying quite far but this would not happen to players so now if you’re in a pvp match with your friends and you got a knockback sword then you will actually be able to fling them quite far away from you which could be helpful in various different circumstances Especially if you have a very convenient cliff right here going into a lava pool i need to go fight some people with knockback now i want to do this and what better to end off today’s episode with but another villager bug so villagers used to not unlink from their Beds bells or workstations when going through a portal to another dimension so when you had a villager breeder like this one right here all the babies would be bred and instantly go to the nether however they would still take up room in the village mob cap so what you would Have to do is break the beds to force the babies to unlink from them and then you’d have to place down the beds again luckily this has been fixed so we no longer need to worry about this this kind of algebra breeder is now properly an infinite villager breeder and it was Keep on breeding babies for as long as the adults have food which is the intended mechanics and which is the original way that this actually worked i made villager breeders like this like three or four years ago on bedrock edition it was some of my very earliest bedrock edition tutorials and i’m glad To see that this feature is finally restored to its former glory and this has been 20 bedrock edition bug fixes that you probably did not know about i hope that you have enjoyed today’s episode be sure to let me know what your least favorite blog on this list is and Rejoice in knowing that it is no longer in the game forever banished to the history books i am quite fond of all the villager bug fixes and the fact that we no longer need to worry about all of those issues anymore villagers are already such a pain on their own we Don’t need more issues with them in the form of bugs anyway i hope that you have enjoyed today’s episode if you did consider leaving a like on the video or subscribing if you are
