Mojang shipped a new Java snapshot today expanding abandoned camps with a variant for every biome, overhauling the world options screen, updating terrain rendering, bumping pack versions, and fixing two dozen bugs including straw bed and LAN issues.

If you are running Java snapshots, fire up the launcher. Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 6 landed today and it delivers the kind of incremental but noticeable progress the community has come to expect during the run up to the fall drop.
The headline player facing change is expanded abandoned camps. Mojang added a new campsite variant for every biome along with minor structural tweaks. These camps already drop useful loot and now they should feel less repetitive as you travel.

World Options Finally Gets Its Own Spot
The World Options button moved to the pause menu where the old Open to LAN button lived. The new screen splits into General and Multiplayer tabs. Multiplayer options now control LAN scope, command access for joining players, and the specific port. The Online button also now always appears in the Options menu. It is a small reorganization that removes a long standing annoyance for anyone who hosts regularly.
- Data Pack version bumped to 113.0 with changes to publish command, cooking fuel, brewing fuel, compostable, and new invulnerable_time entity tag
- Resource Pack version now 94.0 with refactored terrain shaders for multi draw support and new trim_overrides system for equipment assets
- Terrain blocks now use MultiDrawIndirect on supported hardware
- New density functions including pow, sqrt, log, sign, distance_to_point, and slice plus major updates to noises and gradient
The bug fixes are extensive. They address straw bed texture and crash issues, multiple LAN and default gamemode problems, macOS fullscreen and input quirks, transparency rendering crashes, armor trim overrides, glowing sign glitches, and self referencing predicates or item modifiers that would crash the game. Several of these tie directly back to changes in earlier 26.3 snapshots.
If you test snapshots, back up your worlds. The usual warnings apply and some of these worldgen and density function changes could affect older test worlds. Feedback threads are already active on the usual channels.
Why This Matters Right Now
26.3 is shaping up as the exploration and social focused drop with the dappled forest biome at its core. Todays snapshot refines the structures that will live in that biome and across the overworld while fixing the rough edges that always appear when big worldgen and rendering changes land. It is not a flashy reveal but it is the exact kind of steady iteration that keeps the game healthy.
