Hi guys crampton Reds in here and today what we’ll be doing is having a look at how can combine logic eight the basic ones into more complex ones such as the xor gate now we’re going to start off with these three basic logic aids and I’m going to quickly show you what they Are and how they work and then we’re going to move on to some of the more complex ones later on we get started let’s have a look at these three or logic gates to begin with we have the or gate and this or gate will only turn on If both of the imports or either the imports are on so as you see it turns on with one input and also turns on with the other important and also will turn on with both the inputs on so that is down put over there and these are the Imports and if you wonder in mind the these look little bit different I am using a texture pack or a resource pack I guess the call now to change the color of the lumps the torches the redstone and a few other things so if you know some different from normal minecraft That’s what it is but this is vanilla minecraft so no mods or anything and as I said this is the or gate and this is very useful this is one of the most basic logic gates you can use and combined into a more complex ones and Next I’m going to show you this not gay so now we’re going to move on to the not gate the not gate is probably the most basic logic gate you’re going to come across now what it does is just invert the signal and see it literally just Inverts it now this is very useful in combinations with other logic gates such as the or gate and i’ll make the Norway and the ungay which will make the NAND gate and the XOR gate will make the xnor gate now I have shown all these in the Little videos so I’ll leave a link to that in the top right hand corner screen now and you can see basically all the different logic gates and how they’ll work without feta day we’re going to move on to sun gate so now we’re going To take a look at the and gate now the ungay toilette a signal through if both this one and this one Oh so I see currently nothing happens we will put post them on this and this one then it’ll turn on and if they are either them off then it’s not going to Produce now bought now Dan gate is as I said one of the basic conjugates what are very important in combination with the other logic gates to make more complex ones now we move on some leaves more complex ones and take a look how to make them how we combine these three Very very basic logic gates together to make more complex ones so as I said let’s move on so this mess of redstone is the XOR gate now or the XOR gate does is basically only let a signal through if either the inputs are on will not Both of the inputs are on so I’ll demonstrate that in a minute but this is very useful and you can use it in for others what I’ve done a video on and i’ll put a link to in top right corner the screen now and as as I said many Other things as well so how this works i said if both of the imports are off then nothing will happen if one’s imran by this then the output will build and also it’s the other one is on then the output will be on if both of them are on and The output will be off as you can see so that’s how that works and i’m going to show you basically what’s happening here so here what you can see is a nun gate welcome to in a minute and this basically works like the ungay put the Opposite of an and gate that’s what that is this is an or gate like wat showed you earlier and this is a nun gate so let’s just go through this nun gate will let a signal through as long as both amor not off both the inputs or not on So this basically means it will let a signal through on the 0 0 1 0 and 0 1 imports put on 11 it will not let the signal through so this deactivates the M get here how the ungay twill only turn on if both these are on so that is why Lass is there and the or gate will turn on if either the inputs on and if both the inputs are on so this basically with coupled with the and gate and couple words NAND gate will only let a signal through if the if either of the inputs Are on but not if both Ron and not I’m not neither of them on that’s the xor gate and that’s how you make it with a nun gate and then or gate going into an and gate which produce an output that is how you’d go about making the XOR Gate just to mention quickly this jumble of redstone wines and start is irrelevant and has nothing to do an xor gate xor gate is literally just this bit here well now we’re going to do as i said in wasp it we had a nun Gator our Nangi is the opposite of a young gates if we construct an and gate line so i see the output is currently off now we will grab a leave as well it’s that place a woman here 1 i’m here now I also grabbed a repeater and a lump show you What’s happening here so currently why is happening is there is no output because this is an ungainly both the imports to beyond before you’re producing output well combining it with the not gate would get us in none gate now what this does is suck the same but Here instead of a redstone torch to the front there we just leave it out but to repeat here and put a lamp there now it’s producing none gate and how this works is that if one of the inputs run then it will still stay on if the other Important on then it was beyond and if both the inputs are on it will turn off like so that is an undated knives and ungay purple with a not cake now the other one is the nor gate now the nor gate is the basically the same as the Nand gate but with the or gate so that we didn’t make any sense which is basically an all date coupled with not yet but we’re going to demonstrate that here so this is an or gate i showed before it will turn on if either of the inputs Are on right so what a nor gate is the opposite that so if we do this and then we can have an output bring from this bike here but with a redstone torch instead now what this will do is be on when the output will be on when neither Of the inputs are on turn one on it is going to turn out off the output like this so that is a nor gate now the the other main logic gate I guess is the xnor gate and that is just the opposite of the XOR gate so you do is remove this Torch here and place right up you can see it’s clearly got one if we turn one of the month okay it’s going to turn off and turn the other one on you can turn off and then we’re gonna put both one and they will turn on the end so she Like that now these are all the logic gates and as you can see we combined these three basic logic
