Designing a Custom Biome! – Let’s Play Minecraft 425

Welcome back to the let’s play everybody this is dallas here and as you can clearly tell i’ve been quite busy the past four days all i would do is go out to this gravel biome gather gravel come back home combine it with dirt come here and place it

My render distance is quite low i just wanted to add that effect and i built one bonsai tree this is this one is like way more detailed i don’t know if you can tell well we can just do a comparison this is the one we’ve built before right here

And i decided to make it bigger and with more smooth curves and these are going to be dotted all over the place and yes these are going to be dead too i’m not adding leaves to them so today we’re going to be working on this biome

This place is still heavily a work in progress there’s like so much detail we have to add into it all that’s literally is done is just the coarse dirt replaced and like one tree made as you can see this is all the course dirt we had to make

And it’s just about complete i think i’m gonna get rid of these trees i might make it around here as you can see we got all this to patch up it just takes a very long time but yeah so far i think it’s looking pretty good

So with that said uh uh time to get to work i’m actually so tired of placing corster we’re actually just going to start adding in details to this i’ll worry about that patch back there later you have no idea how tired i am replacing this craft

So as you can tell i’m starting to place my rocks everywhere buttons and i’m starting to place these in some places as well but to add detail into this we’re going to have to add brown concrete powder rooted dirt uh i don’t have any of this left yes it requires gravel dang it

But rooted dirt crap i guess i’m gonna have to go find another azalea tree so that is exact oh there’s something oh there’s another one i grew trees there but we need lots of it so i’m gonna go off in that direction we explored recently where we found all

That new terrain and kind of keep my eye out for one of them trees i got a feeling i’m not gonna get so lucky see what this place looks like with high render distance on probably i mean it’s about natural biome size i mean if you think about small biomes in minecraft

I forget where they spawn mostly oh look we got a temple we’re not even that far out and look at this terrain what a oh god dang it how’s this temple been in we’re in new terrain here or maybe it’s just so good at seamlessly transitioning to new

Terrain that i just can’t tell whatever is that one no yeah no no yeah no whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa look at that look how far that is too you guys know what that is that’s when we used to go on our camping trips we actually i remember that one

Okay yeah now i remember that temple so we came to there and then over this way there’s a temple where me and a special someone succumbed to a tnt blast oh bottle xp wow why would you keep your horses up here what the heck i will not stand by this you guys go

Free yeah for some reason i had it in my mind that azalea trees only spawn in a certain area but they actually spawn wherever a lush cave spawns and on any dirt block above that lush cave so yeah i just need to look anywhere lucky here my favorite biome over in this direction

This is crazy the only reason it’s crazy is because this world is generated in 2014 and we’re only 3 000 blocks away i have a strange feeling it delete oh deleted a lot of my chunks i’m just like look a lush game and then lucky there all right sweet

Wait you don’t need to touch okay good [Applause] whoa the muscle almost comes all the way up to the surface whoa wow this one’s pretty cool this would be a cool base location this is where the terrain starts getting a little funky i love this i don’t know

What this biome is called but i love these little stone patches it would be very rare to find any temples out here that i’ve not been in this looks like one what i haven’t been here new loot whoa okay decent loot what on earth is that

Oh it’s one of the little temples above ground wow look at that salute oh there is not yeah hello oh here we go two why two what oh just a map you know what i kind of like that map take that home gosh it was like halfway up on this

Mound as you can tell where i found it and then i’m like can’t find it up there so i went down here and then here it is what do we got two diamonds [Applause] so yeah i decided to kick myself in the butt and make three more trees these ones were all

Unique in their own way and very much a challenge the hardest part about making trees specifically dead trees because you don’t have leaves to cover up some of the limbs is making it look good from every angle and i learned that the hard way this tree does not look the best but

I think these two turned out all right that one just it’s it’s good at first it was just this shape and then i added in all these extra branches but the reason i don’t like this one a whole lot and i’m going to mess with this more because it looks

Good from that angle but when you walk over here um well now i kind of fix it but it’s just an iffy tree this one for example i like this i have like a really low drooping branch on this one and i kind of have a root

Sticking out of the ground i do like how this one turned out why is there a block missing henderman are going to start ruining this place well i can start placing normal dirt yeah and then when i built this one i discovered what i really wanted my trees

To look like around here i’m going to keep these ones all but this one just has like a sickening evil vibe it’s hard to put into words but i like how i did this one i made a branch look like it grew into the ground and maybe came back

Out and i don’t think i’m going to add any more branches onto this one i really love the way this one looks it actually looks good from all angles too it has a nice twisting look to it and as you can tell i’m starting to make a pathway it’s interesting

Could definitely use some work but i now want to start placing some more stuff around on the ground to give some more texturing i do have some more of that but i also want to try some new blocks hey bob i’m actually needing some blocks you might sell

That right there i wish you didn’t have to place that in water why do you have the option to place a big drip leaf out of water but not that one it’s a silly move mojang i know my mic’s not gonna pick it up but i’m having serious like flashbacks right

Now because i have a lot of train horns going on off in the distance i know it’s where i used to live where my parents are oh man it’s around this time too i’d usually start recording but it’s also like bringing me back to my early days

Of this where i just have to wait out those train horns okay so i’m going to place a lot of this round not double high just one high and i think grass actually looks good i’ve tried everything else in here maybe some ferns too i need some more grass though

This is what i mean by these trees are all about angles like when i’m at this angle i really think i need to add a branch on this tree we’re turning out this way and even over here maybe i could add a little something coming out that way it’s so difficult

But any hizzle uh okay so i think it would look decent if i just place these every so often just maybe i could do eventually like too high but maybe just yeah see that i think that looks pretty good and then i think it wouldn’t be too

Bad having some i mean it’s look how big this place is there’s gonna be eventually some grass that pops up in some places yeah i won’t do too much of that though because too much green will make it look like this place has hope this place will

Not have hope this is a wasteland something just happened to me for the first time ever in this let’s play i was just flying right there i thought i hit something but look the flying slide oh it’s all broken i’m not on peaceful i’ve been playing on difficulty this whole time

I was always scared to let it get to that point because i thought they just broke and disappeared like every other tool i think it looks alright with the grass is that a good shape i don’t want it to look too organic it looks very organic um

I can tinker on it i’m going to put an old mine right here but this is going to be one that we’re actually going to use and it’s going to be in a quarry fashion but similar to my stone mountain base if you remember that it kind of

Went like a cone shape down to the bottom i don’t even know if i’ll do that i am going to make it look cool though as if it is realistic mining i’m gonna put mine carts out here maybe like a wooden structure hanging over this pulling stuff out so that is marked

Where that’s going to be i do have stumps every so often or little wooden blocks where i want more trees but right here i think i’m going to put an old decrepit house look at this weird thing you can do in bedrock once you get dirt you gotta do it just right though

Like okay there you go you can start sprinting and placing blocks if you do it just right like that and it actually gets placed really fast i did this for a while for most of the dirt around here i have a problem yeah i know uh yeah

I just wanna see what it looks like okay brown that’s what it looks like just brown it’s not necessarily an eye pleaser but it looks kind of cool so what i’m thinking is is since this area our training grounds are the same color i might as well just go ahead and bring it

All up through here and down here i’ll cover up this last bit and then probably spread it like i said to here and make it converge with the swamp bio you know the more i look at this the more i’d really wish i could turn all of this

Little peninsula right here i think that’s what you’d call it imagine all of that brown that would be pretty cool man i hate that i say i want to work on this and i never do i love the new look at this part of the

House but why am i not working on it i think i’m sick in the head i think the reality is wait oh it isn’t that okay i was going to build a sugar cane tower here and i still am but i completely forgot that there were observers in the game well i

Didn’t forget i know they’re in the game but i forgot there you can use them for a very easy sugarcane harvesting system screw it next episode we’re doing that screw it screw it that is what we’ll do i’m going to end it here i know fairly short uh

Listen listen those trees took way longer than i expected i i was thinking about delaying it another day until tomorrow to get a lot more work done maybe build that abandoned house but i’m just like i want to get out some content today’s comment question comes from

Stone stuff around to add in some more color variations i actually like these quite a bit they look like just areas where the dirt’s kind of given away a bit or maybe this is where people were mining a bit to maybe start oh yeah maybe try to find a place to

Mine they settled there what else i do Nothing i’m not stalling you’re stalling but i am a big rpg fan i love open world games as most people do but there’s a thing about me i don’t think i could ever stream or record a game such as maybe like skyrim or fallout or something like that

Because i get really into the role play of those games not like to an extreme level but i i can’t multitask i have to be there in the zone and feel like i’m in the world three of my top favorite games of all time i’m sure you guys know this witcher

3 wild hunt fallout 4 in skyrim i’m actually playing through a skyrim right now this time around i actually made well my favorite race in skyrim is an argonian and i completely ignore the main storyline i think right when i reach dragon’s reach i just don’t go to the

Tower to kill the dragon that way i can explore the whole world and do everything without dragons constantly attacking me so i don’t have any shouts or anything i’m purely a thief build and assassin so i mainly rely on uh thieving stuff and i have a collection in the game i

Collected jewels and necklaces and rings and i bought my house in markarth and i just have a chest full of jewels like i’m an actual thief and i don’t sell them at any time i just put them all in that chest and i somehow still make some decent

Money i don’t hoard or anything i don’t know why i’m going into the details about my skyrim build but here i am all i can say is like i’m having such a blast and i don’t play with any mods either we all play our own way i play

With no mods because i still like getting achievements in the game and working for them and there’s something very satisfying about just playing the bass vanilla game and doing it your own way anyway what was the question now what game do i want to play for the

First time again easily witcher 3 wild hunt attack all the monsters again for the first time with no knowledge that was so fun to learn i’ve beat that game like four times on death march difficulty now that every time i approach a monster i just know

Exactly what to do and they’re so easy to take down which is why i’m thinking about giving elden ring a try because it’s like dark souls and the enemies are so hard to fight and there’s so many to choose from oh yeah yeah so either those three games fallout
