Hello everyone my name is pixarius and welcome back to the minecraft survival guide i hope you’re all having a good day in today’s episode we are going to return to the wither skeleton farm or at least the near the fortress that i had started converting into a with a Skeleton farm and then i ran away by the time i had three with the skeleton skulls and we could get hold of our first beacon i was pretty anxious to fight the wither in the first place but now i’m anxious to fight the wither again because one beacon is rarely Enough i’m actually finding it very useful having a haste beacon to set up permanently here at my drip stone cave base and we will be doing a lot more terraforming of the landscape in the near future so it’s going to help to have that here permanently but i also Need a beacon over at my badlands area so that i can instantly mine terracotta and it’s actually going to be quite helpful over there to get hold of a tier 4 beacon with all four of the tier bases complete just so i can have a larger range and be able to mine terracotta With haste one in a range of more than about 20 blocks so today we’re going to return to the wither skeleton farm and render it a little bit more operable we’re going to turn some of the layers of that nether fortress into something that we can use to draw out the wither Skeletons and potentially even draw out some of the other mobs that spawn in the nether fortress area just to make sure that the wither skeletons can spawn more frequently i would also in time like to make some sort of permanent travel path out here potentially even one of our ice Boat roads because right now flying through the nether like this is fraught with peril i mean it’s not too bad as long as we’ve got enough fireworks and stuff but i do need to make sure i know the way and it’s pretty easy to get lost in this cavern but eventually we reach This point and here surrounded by the warped forest biome is our nether fortress now i recognize that if this is a with a skeleton farm video i’ve kind of done a lot of the work already in the previous episode about the wither so to save you a little bit of time so you Don’t need to watch all of that let me recap briefly what we’ve done first of all we located this nether fortress nestled in a very favorable biome for nether fortress mob spawns since in a warped forest the only other thing that spawns in the area is enderman they Won’t fill up the mob cap on their own and there’s already a lot of light sources in the warped forest thanks to streamlights which makes it quite difficult for endermen to spawn here in large numbers so when we got here the fortress was already teaming with mobs The first thing we did after exploring a little bit and getting attacked a couple of times by blazes and with the skeletons was start to level out some of the areas of the fortress so we had a nice broad area that we could look at and then we identified three of these Crossroads sections which were ideal for mob spawning the reason we’re using these crossroads sections is because they are really good for expanding the farm a little bit later but we don’t need to worry too much about that now we just isolated these three crossroads connected them all using a single Platform made out of nether bricks to make sure that nether fortress mobs will spawn in there surrounded the entire thing in a wall and roofed with glass so that we can see exactly what’s spawning in there and then we spent the rest of our time spawn proofing the remainder of The fortress using either buttons or you could use slabs if you prefer a slightly cheaper material cost but i just find buttons easier to place and with the buttons we spawn proofed the entirety of the rest of the fortress or at least those parts of it which i could see and So while there are still a couple of spawnable blocks here and there as you can see from the fact that a pig man has spawned over here i think i might even need to spawn proof the mob spawner over there i’m not certain if that is a Spawnable block or if this guy’s just wandered in from elsewhere but as you can see there are a lot of wither skeletons in here also a lot of blazes a decent handful of zombie pigmen and some magma cubes as well but it does look like the majority of the mobs inside Here are actually with the skeletons and while we could just draw all of those over to one exit like this we could just run around a little bit and grab a bunch of the wither skeletons that way there are some other ways thanks to the changes that were made in 1.16 the Nether update which we can use to our advantage in drawing out the wither skeletons using what we know about the slime farm we can also potentially draw the magma cubes out into a separate location and either kill those easily or just have them die or despawn and the Zombified piglens can even be drawn out by the use of turtle eggs which we covered in a previous video the skeletons won’t act the same way unfortunately but we might be able to get rid of the skeletons another way and then all that will be left will be the Blazers which frankly don’t have a fantastic way of getting rid of them but we can just fly away despawn them and then come back every time we want to refresh the spawns inside the farm basically we are not min-maxing our with a skeleton farm quite yet we are not Completely optimizing it for the best possible spawning conditions we’re just doing what we can given the resources and time that we have right now and trying to separate out the mobs in the first attempt at mob sorting i see there is one button right there there’s one button right there that is Missing and that’s why this guy and another blaze actually were able to spawn in here well i’m gonna bring back another button to fill up that spot and i think we’re also going to bring back a couple of other things we need some turtle eggs to dry out the zombie pigmen And for the wither skeletons we need to take advantage of the fact that we’re the skeletons and piglens are not the best of friends to demonstrate this i’m going to try and lure a couple of the neighboring piglens into this nearby nether fortress and this is kind of out of the way from Anywhere that i’ve been so far so this is actually a new nether fortress for us to explore here in the heart of the nether wastes biome and there’s a couple of piglens lurking around now all that remains is to try and find a wither skeleton before they catch up to me Which it turns out is a little bit easier said than done there aren’t really that many were the skeletons spawning in this nether fortress at all but that really just goes to show how vital it is to choose a good location for your with a skeleton farm if you Find something like a warped forest or a soul sand valley those are going to be optimal spawning conditions for with the skeletons because of the lack of other mobs in the surrounding biomes meanwhile here in this nether fortress there we go you can see there we go the enmity Between the wither skeletons and the regular piglens there where they attacked each other but yeah as i was saying this nether fortress surrounded by terrain where zombie piglens and other mobs will spawn quite freely we’re really not seeing that many with the skeletons spawning in here at all but Right there we saw what we needed to see wither skeletons will actively target and attack piglens and piglens will do the same to wither skeletons so in order to lure with the skeletons over to a specific place in our farm all we need to do is station a piglen somewhere as An aggro target and effectively use them the same way we’ve used the iron golems in our slime farm they are going to be bait for the wither skeletons to run towards and then get pushed somewhere else now as you can see from a couple of examples here if the two end up fighting That is a fight the wither skeleton is going to win they are slightly tougher they have a little bit more hp i believe and they also have the power of the wither effect on their side meaning that the piglets are going to take some fatal damage from that effect sooner or later Anyway but of course as was the case with the slime farm them attacking each other is not going to be the point in fact we want to keep the wither skeletons far enough away from the piglen that they aren’t going to attack it at all and while i’m here thinking of The slime farm i might as well come down here and see how much slime we’ve managed to get hold of yeah it turns out a pretty decent amount in there from just hanging around the drip stone cave for a couple of minutes not too shabby but the process of moving a piglet over To the nether fortress mob farm is not going to be all that hard all we will really need is a couple of boats that we can row the piglens over in provided of course that we’re wearing some gold armor so we don’t need to draw the piglen’s aggro if you wanted a hardier More durable piglet you could do that with a piglet brute as well but honestly getting in a boat with a piglet brute is never a good idea so we all need to find ourselves some regular piglets and the ideal targets are going to be the ones that are wielding swords because of Course the piglens with crossbows will try to attack the wither skeletons from a distance and that’s really not what we want in this farm we want them to be drawn out into an area that the player can kill them not the piglens and as long as the piglet is safe we will also Need to make sure that it cannot despawn and if we’re going to have it standing outside of a boat or a minecart that is a possibility so we might bring along a couple of name tags to make sure that we can rename the piglens and keep them Persistent so with a couple of boats a couple of name tags and some bridging blocks to get us started let’s return to the nether and find the nearest area we can spawn piglens around that warped forest so having taken a pretty solid look around here it seems like the Nearest place we can get a piglet from is going to be over here where the warbler forest actually blends into a crimson forest it’s not terribly far from the fortress it’s just going to require a bit of awkward bridging because there isn’t much land connecting this area and the area where the Fortress is we could go the long way around we could try and make sure that the piglen stays with us all the way around the outskirts of this warped forest but there’s a lot of dense foliage and it’s probably going to lose line of sight on us pretty easily so i Think we’re going to stick with plan a bridge out from around here and probably connect to the nether fortress over there but it looks like there are a couple of viable candidates around here so there’s no time like the present let’s block off this lava so the piglens Can actually reach us and let’s see if we can get one trapped in a boat there’s a couple of likely looking guys over here let’s see if we can draw some aggro from the sword-wielding ones yep looks like we’ve got a couple of them on us Right now we can put one in a boat like so the other one’s going to join him and for the last one i think we’ll probably just kill this guy to be honest because him and the other crossbow guy are kind of in the way right now that leaves us With one sword-wielding piglen who even if i switch to my gold helmet is probably still going to be mad at me because i just killed a couple of his friends but that aggro will wear off he’ll put his sword down in a second and in the meantime we’re going to name tag Him bartleby like the other piglets and just step away a little while so he loses line of sight wait about 30 seconds come back and see how he feels about us that should be about long enough let’s see how he feels his sword is down and a zombie piglen is dying somewhere i’m Very confused about that but now it should be safe for us to get in the boat and as you can see not attacking us at all we can row him out through the warp forest and bridge him out towards our nether fortress now we can actually do this in relative safety because even Ghasts won’t spawn in a warped forest and the entirety of this lava lake still falls within the boundary of the warped forest biome lava lakes are not necessarily their own biome in themselves they’re always part of the adjoining biomes and so unless it somehow generated a patch of near the Wastes in the center of here we’re not likely to see anything that wouldn’t spawn in a warped forest which is going to be pretty much entirely endemic at this point so even though we’re creating this netherrack bridge we don’t need to worry too much about any unpleasant Surprises and it should be child’s play to row this piglen back over to the nether fortress in fact it’s over the nether fortress that we have to be a little bit more cautious i’m keeping our platform at a decent height above the nether fortress so hopefully we Shouldn’t get too much stuff spawning on the netherrack because it’s within the bounding box of the nether fortress you’ve also got to be aware that there are two bounding boxes at work one which governs the spaces of each of the individual pathways and corridors and the cross sections of them that make up The nether fortress structure itself and one larger bounding box that is drawn around the entire thing basically the outer dimensions of the fortress however tall it is however wide it is that creates one larger bounding box around the outside and while i believe they plan on getting rid of this Functionality in future it is currently the case i believe that if you place nether brick blocks anywhere inside of that larger bounding box basically you know it can be in the open air around here as long as it’s within the broader area of another fortress that has the Potential to spawn at nether fortress mobs so realistically we don’t actually need to make this platform at a crossroads like this we could make it anywhere we wanted to inside of the larger bounding box of a nether fortress the fact remains that in future when we Want things to spawn on blocks which are not nether brick which is kind of essential for with the skeleton farms as we’ll see later in the series it’s going to be helpful to use the inner bounding boxes of the nether fortress where the fortress mobs can spawn on whatever Block you put in there once we reach the area where our nether fortress mobs are we’re going to row the pigelin down here onto the glass roof because the next stage is going to be working out where is the best place to put him and we’re Probably going to have to drop him in somewhere that’s going to be a little dangerous for him otherwise we’re going to leave this path of netherrack blocks just in case we need to grab another piglet but now let’s talk about exactly where to place our bait all right i’ve been away to the Overworld and i’ve stocked up on a few supplies because we are going to be putting this piglen three blocks in from the corner one two three right here and inside the farm which is probably going to require raising the roof of this farm by one block just so all of the wither Skeletons and stuff have sight lines to the piglen but i think we can probably try and work something out in the meantime just in case we don’t need to do that because i would prefer not to have to do that but the most dangerous part of all of this is probably going to Be the fact that we need to build a platform further down here for the wither skeletons to fall into so that we can stand 23 blocks away from the spawning platform here and in theory the spawns in here will cycle through a couple of times so we’ll end up with a bunch more With the skeletons spawning once we’ve killed the others now the blazes and other mobs in here we’re not gonna be able to do all that much about we should be able to remove the zombified piglens but if we place an iron golem around here to get rid of the magma cubes then Unfortunately the skeletons are going to attack it from range and that means the iron golem is probably going to die without the skeletons really doing a whole lot so realistically we’re just looking at removing the wither skeletons and the zombified piglens for now and we’ll try and work on the other ones as We go but if worst comes to us we can just take a ladder up here and take out the remaining mobs that spawn in the farm first things first though we’re here for with the skeletons and so that means we’re going to need to drop down Here this is where we’re going to take out the ender chest we’re going to grab a few things from this chest here including potions of fire resistance just in case we need them but i’ve brought a stone cutter with me and a bunch of other materials that we’re Going to need to set up this farm as you can see not really any redstone required we’ve got some hoppers we’ve got a an output chest a few trapdoors that’s basically going to be all we need plus we’re going to be turning all of the black stone and cobble deep slate into Walls but first things first we will need some slabs so that we can make a spawn proof area down here where the player can stand and swipe at the wither skeletons when they fall down here and for that we are going to be finding the lowest possible point that we can place Blocks down here i think we’ll probably place a slab over there leap to that and then let’s see if we can place some slabs a little bit further down there we go we’re going to try and get basically down into the lava lake or basically the Slab right on top of that there we go okay so this is where we’re going to start out with a skeleton killing platform and as you can see we can spot where the blocks are of the platform above meaning that we can more or less see where our piglen is going to be Dropping these wither skeletons so with the 7×7 area covered in slabs down here i need to get rid of the terrain and the warped trees around here so we’ll probably remove these this also means we’re removing a few of the spawnable spaces for endermen here which can only Be a good thing we’re gonna keep the warped wood and probably the shroom lights but the rest of this i think we’re just gonna chuck into lava i don’t really have much need for it right now ah it looks like something has happened to bartleby and no he hasn’t transformed Into a with a skeleton a with a skeleton has probably spawned on one of these blocks and has killed him by getting in the boat with him so that’s unfortunate though it looks like we’ll probably need to go and get ourselves another bottle b in fact where are these guys coming from Um i have a feeling it might be these netherrack blocks up here so we’re just going to remove some of those for now and we’ll replace them a little later but i think yeah getting into the proximity of some of these nether fortress structures or at least where The structures were before might be causing some of them to spawn on the netherrack here anyway three blocks in from the corner here we’re going to take the coordinates because that seems like the most sensible way to do this we want negative 111 13 25. that’s going to be The center where one of our piglets is going to go and that turns out to be about here so i’m going to try and expand the platform on this side and maybe reclaim some of the nether brick slabs from over there just so the platform ends up basically centered on This point here and then we can put our output chest in this setup and we’ll probably arrange the hoppers around here now we’re going to build the killing area first because once stuff starts dropping down here it’s going to be pretty difficult to do any work so the Hoppers are going to go into here at about head height for the player while we’re crouching and the wither skeletons are all going to be standing around here all of the hoppers are going to be pointing into a central storage chest here and we’re probably going to put a Block at least one block above that so that we can open the chest but make sure that nothing can walk on top of the chest so that all of the drops will end up going in the hoppers here there we go we’ll put a slab there as well for good Measure and around each side of the platform here behind each of these hoppers we need some sort of guide rails that are going to keep the wither skeletons in place and so i’m going to make a couple more slabs here we’re going to slab off each side like this And we’re going to build a nether brick pillar going all the way up to the top of the fortress doesn’t have to be near the break of course this is just a stylistic choice more than anything also because if you need any more nether bricks it’s pretty easy to get some from The fortress around you last of all we’re gonna make sure that there is a complete nether brick pillar up the center of this as well and now it’s time to shove all of the nether bricks that are left over into a shulker box take out the other materials we brought with Us and convert all of those into walls i’m thinking deep slate tile and polished blackstone brick for this one no real preference either way we could just do whatever we want to you could even use cobblestone walls or other cheaper types of walls if you prefer but effectively what we’re doing is using The walls to create barriers from which the wither skeletons will not be able to escape and it’s pretty easy to trap with a skeleton they are three blocks tall so you can pretty much leave a two block gap here if you wanted to we’re just shortening it to one block here in case Any other mobs come down here by mistake like skeletons or blazers or anything like that even zombie pigmen might come down this trap from time to time now our job is to make sure that each of these walls towers up until it touches the bottom of the nether fortress up there And we’re actually going to have those coming through the bottom of the nether fortress once we’re ready to drop the pigelin in and have the wither skeletons baited down here now once we’ve completed the walls up there to our spawning platform it should look like this pretty easy to build just takes a Little bit of time to peel her up on top of the walls you should be fine we’re gonna keep those walls on us we’re gonna grab the trap doors and a slab to put the piglen on provided that we have a piglet of course and we’ll be addressing That in just a second but this is the point at which things might get a little bit sketchy because we need to prepare one area inside of the farm which is probably going to mean baiting all of the weather skeletons over to one place taking them out and then chugging a fire Resistance potion and going in to deal with the magma cubes and the blazes so i think we’re gonna do that over here it’s gonna be relatively simple i think to get all of the wither skeletons to find us i’m just going to chug a fire resistance potion now to make sure that We don’t end up running afoul of any blazes and let’s take a quick look at what’s going on in here lots and lots of wither skeletons of course there’s always the other option which is to fly away is super fast and try and get back fast enough that yes okay the platform Has only spawned a couple of mobs i think we should be okay to get on down in here all right we’ll have to keep our wits about us but one skeleton to take out and a zombie pig man who’s not going to bother us too much that should be Fine now if we go one two three blocks that right there is where we’re going to be standing our zombie piglen and we need to dig out a two block gap in each direction like so we’re also gonna make sure these walls can come up through the floor because Each of these walls is going to guide the wither skeletons into the area where they’re going to be falling we’re going to have trap doors on each of these areas here and yep that zombie pigman just took the bait with the trap door on each of these Blocks around here we need to open that up so that the wither skeletons feel like they can just walk down in front here and we’re also going to make sure there is a trapdoor on the inside of this pillar as well now on top of this nether brick pillar here we’re going to Be placing a slab and that’s going to have the piglin standing on it with some trapdoors wrapped up around the outside to make sure that the weather skeletons can’t reach in and attack it we’ll have two layers of trapdoors up around here and some eagle-eyed folks might notice That i was able to get up on top of these walls where the skeletons won’t be able to get up on top of these walls for now but if we have to raise the ceiling to make sure that they can aggro on whatever’s standing here then chances Are we might end up with a problem and so that’s why we’re going to take our stone cutter we’re going to turn each of these nether brick blocks into stairs and we’re going to position those around the outside here so that the stair block is facing inwards this way and it won’t Connect to the walls that will still allow mobs to pathfind on top of it seeing as it is a solid block face but it will just mean that the walls don’t connect there and there’s no way for the mobs to step up onto this next set of Walls weirdly enough we want to protect the piglen on the inside of here which is why we’re being extra cautious with this stuff but it looks like we’re doing okay these fires should burn down and all we need to do now is get a piglet inside of here and if i drink another Fire resistance potion i should be able to actually beta test whether or not a piglet standing in this space is going to aggro the wither skeletons by trying to aggro them myself let’s hop down into here and let’s see if any of the wither skeletons notice me no it looks like They aren’t unfortunately so we are going to need to raise the ceiling of this one more block so let’s do that real quick before we bring the piglen back here because we’re gonna want everything in this farm to be good to go by the time we bring our next piglet in And oh my goodness that took a while but we are more or less done here i would like to leave a little bit of an opening on one end of this so i can get hold of the glass that has all dropped in there But i managed to get a bit of it as i was going and now we can kind of road test what i expected to happen earlier where if we stand in here the wither skeleton should now pathfind towards me and they just drop straight between the Trap doors no harm done to me or anything else inside of here and so hopefully no harm done to the piglen that we’re gonna be using as bait and i might as well just nip out and grab all of the glass while i’m here and while nothing else is spawning inside of here Quick tip though if you’re interested in doing a farm like this and you want to make sure that it’s not spawning as much stuff leave a lot of these little magma cubes around because while they do deal a little bit of damage to you they’re not like little slimes where they can’t Deal any damage to you at all it is kind of nice having a bunch of them around here taking up the mob cap and they don’t move all that fast let’s get out of the corner though before the wither skeletons come to find me and i think we Are just about ready to introduce a piglen into this farm just gotta make sure that trap door is all closed up and once he’s in here we’ll probably put a glass block over the top of him to make sure that something doesn’t happen like it did before where a with a skeleton Somehow spawns up here and wanders in from the top but i think we should be good to go so let’s go and trap ourselves another piglet there’s definitely a couple of good candidates around here this guy with the gold helmet seems like he’ll be good let’s Get him in a boat and let’s row the boat away so as before we’re gonna row our piglet friend on in here and it looks like he has a lot of weather skeletons to greet once he’s here just as a safety precaution we are going to get rid of The netherrack because we don’t want a repeat of what happened to our first piglet but before we do that let’s make sure we name this guy bartleby so he’s not going to despawn perfect and then let’s get rid of the netherrack over here where it might have intersected With the bounding boxes of the nether fortress structures before now all we need to do is get this piglet into the hole over here which should be nice and easy to do just gotta trap him in here in the boat make sure there’s a wall around him so he can’t escape and we Should just be able to break the boat like so and nudge him into position in the farm perfect he’s in and already he is attracting all of the wither skeletons look at that a conga line has come to try and take care of this piglen But he is out of their reach and with a glass block over his head he should be just fine in here for good now that the farm is operational and is already bringing in some pretty spectacular results i think it’s time to go down to our killing mechanism and see what’s Going on down there because as you might expect we now have a ton of wither skeletons and one unfortunate zombie pigman has wandered in here as well so a few quick swipes of the looting sword they should have taken enough fall damage to land on these hoppers that They’ll all die in one hit including the zombie pigman which is actually kind of perfect and it looks like we already have our first with a skeleton skull so that did not take very long at all and i should just be able to clear out any of The other drops from here including any blaze drops that we get because the blazers are gonna fall in here as well we’re gonna throw the rotten flesh and the magma cream and stuff into the lava because we don’t really have much need for that and the main problem with this Farm really is that it’s going to fill up with stone swords eventually but we already have two with the skeleton skulls we’ve got a couple of stacks of coal and bones on the go as well and another added bonus is that any zombie piglets that fall into this farm are Going to take enough full damage that one hit should kill them meaning that you’re not going to draw the aggro of any other zombie piglens in the area now this might not be a farm that is super safe to afk at right now because when the blazes fall down here they are Potentially going to have sight line to you and be able to fireball the player so it’s not really the kind of farm where you can set up an auto clicker and just go to town but i honestly don’t mind getting a few extra nether fortress mob drops in here the only thing we Won’t get too much of is the magma cream because magma cubes will not really make their way down here all that often and if you start to find that the farm isn’t drawing in a great deal of weather skeletons and that’s probably because a lot of the other fortress mobs have Already spawned up here and are now taking up the mob cap right now we’re dealing with a lot of zombie piglens walking around so one of the other things we can do is set up another module of the farm like this but in this corner over here just so it’s kind of Out of the way and lure in all of the zombie piglens with turtle eggs but if you haven’t got time for that you can always just fly away from the farm 128 blocks so that everything inside your fortress despawns and then when you come back here you should find that a whole Fresh set of fortress mobs is spawning in here which is going to mean a bunch of wither skeletons will start to drop down into this because a bunch of with the skeletons will spawn up above and before long they start to fall like raindrops there we go we’ve got a few in Here already let’s take care of these so that we free up a little bit more mob cap and hopefully yeah we’ll start to see a few more dropping in there fantastic we have four with the skeleton skulls in here already after only two cycles of the farm we’ve already got a Couple of stacks of bones like i said and more than the stack of coal too so this could honestly be a pretty decent farm if you just want furnace fuel in the meantime and looting means that you’ll always have the highest possible chance of getting hold of the more Valuable drops like with the skeleton skulls so how can this farm now be improved well first of all we can probably put some nether brick slabs in here so that the wither skeletons fall onto those they won’t take quite as much fall damage but then again it also Allows us to block off some of the sight lines of blazes and if we end up putting some blocks around here chances are a blaze won’t be able to see you unless you’re right up here at the very center of the farm we also need to add in a Blue ice boat road and not just for transport over here we could potentially use that as a fast way of cycling the spawns inside the farm without having to fly around using our elytra and rockets up if we wanted to excavate a bit of the lava around here and make a safe space For ourselves underneath there was that our fifth with a skeleton skull yep certainly was we could end up making a storage system here that would sort all of the different mob drops meaning that whatever falls down into the farm would get sorted into its individual chest and We could end up with different chests for coal bones with a skeleton skeleton any of the other mob drops could either be kept or could be thrown into lava but like i said i think one of the best improvements we can make to the farm is to eliminate the zombie piglens in a Separate location and so we’re going to dig down in here and probably just drop them onto a bunch of drip stone spikes where they can take a lot of full damage and die instantly so i’ve come back to the farm and set this up so far all we Have is a very simplified version of what we’ve got here with the piglin trap except in the trapdoors in the center just on a block level with the ground is a turtle egg and surrounding it with trap doors like this means that the piglens won’t be able to pathfind over And jump up and down on it like they want to but they will be drawn in fall through the trap doors and then just fall into the lava below now unfortunately for us the lava isn’t actually going to destroy any of the piglens because zombified piglens are Immune to fire damage so what we need to do is set up a platform underneath that where the piglens will just die without doing any harm to anything else otherwise we end up with the problem of all of the piglins just gathered down here at lava level not really doing Anything and taking up the mob cap which is not what we want we want them to get out of the mob cap as fast as possible so in order to take care of the piglens here we’re just going to build a 5×5 platform about halfway down underneath Here and cover it in spikes of drip stone which once they fall onto the stalagmites should hopefully kill them nice and easily because it multiplies the full damage they take it’s probably gonna be worth spawn cycling the farm one more time and it looks like the magma cube is having a staring contest With the piglet over there let’s see if we can get some zombified piglens to spawn and see what they do so they’ll immediately track over towards the turtle eggs not especially fast but they will do it and once they fall down there oh it’s not quite low enough for them to Take full damage okay so we are going to have to move the platform down so that the full damage will end up being fatal looks like a couple of them did die on impact though so really it’s just going to be a case of lowering the platform a Couple more blocks and that should be enough full damage to take care of them of course it might also be the case that they’re not falling directly onto the drip stone spikes because there’s a chance that they could fall in between like this so i wonder if maybe Increasing the height of the drip stone will prevent the chances of that happening because if there’s a larger cross section like this they aren’t going to fall directly in between they will still fall onto pointed drip stone it’s just whether or not that still deals the amount of fall damage we want It to interesting experiments let’s give it a try though let’s take out all of these netherrack blocks here and it looks like each of those has ended up dying the uh baby zombie pigmen has remained alive for now but if we can take out that guy it looks like this Platform should be enough to deal with the others and i also realized i need to take out these two torches that i put down here at the farm to try and prevent any of the more difficult hostile mob spawns so let’s make sure our farm is a Little more efficient than that now the wither skeletons are tracking in towards the piglen and the zombie piglens should be falling down there onto the drip stone spikes and yep looks like they are now dying instantly perfect so that will clear out the remainder of the zombie piglen Spawns in here as long as they spawn close enough or pathfind over to the turtle egg now as i said earlier the blazes are kind of a tricky one the magma cubes are kind of a tricky one and if we put some iron golems in here to Try and attract the magma cubes then there’s a chance they might get killed by the regular skeletons spawning but in the meantime down here we have a set of wither skeletons already waiting for us to kill them and by this point i expect we are close to a sixth with a skeleton Skull there we go with a skeleton skull number six just dropped right there at my feet so not too bad folks i think this is going to be a pretty good with a skeleton farm and honestly the setup was really and not that hard so hopefully you can find something similar in terms Of fortress generation in your own worlds that you’ll be willing to give this a go and good luck if you decide to build this design in your own world thank you so much for watching this episode of the minecraft survival guide my name has been pixel riffs please Don’t forget to leave a like on this video if you enjoyed it The Minecraft Survival Guide Season 2 continues! Remember that Nether Fortress we turned into a big box of angry stuff? This tutorial will show you how to make an easy Wither Skeleton Farm by using a Piglin to separate Wither Skeletons from other Nether Fortress mobs. We’ll expand this farm in future to take full advantage of the nether fortress spawning area – but for now, we focus on splitting the Wither Skeletons and Zombie Piglins into two separate areas, allowing us to farm Wither Skeleton Skulls, coal, and bones.
