Minecraft essentially is a very simple game sure there are some game mechanics that boggle my mind on my best days but usually things are kept fairly easy and understandable however that being said there is a certain aspect of building that definitely doesn’t come naturally circles now i know circles are not at All related to minecraft it being a very cubic and block driven game however it is possible to create circles as round as possible and no this video is not going to show you how to create specific circles of varying size today i’m going to give you an insight On how i make circles and spheres i’m serious i even have my own notation form down for recording dimensions before we begin please comment down below and like the video as it will help influence youtube algorithm and assist this video in reaching and helping more viewers also if you Enjoy it hit the subscribe button and turn on notifications so you don’t miss anything new here on the channel that’s enough self-advertisement without further ado let’s begin 6. how do we see and model our circle well circles in minecraft behave in a strange way as they are not linear like squares or rectangles We can view a perfect pixelated circle using a website found at pixel circle donutstudios.com i’ll put a link in the description for your convenience once there you’ll see a picture of a well picked slide circle that represents the blocks that you’ll be using in minecraft okay so once you’re at donutstudios.com Whatever it is this is basically a simulator for making a circle anyway um yeah you can come down here and you can actually see your circle now for all of this video i’m going to be using a circle of 21 in diameter so that’s a width of 21 and a height of 21. So it’s pretty simple but you can actually scale your um circle by clicking these arrows right here i have to go down a little bit click these arrows right here and it’ll change with it so i can go down to well i can go down to one Or i can go all the way up as far as i can by clicking or you can also just type straight into the box and look at that you can actually go to 2000 with the simulator believe it or not i don’t even think i can see an individual block That’s how smooth these circles can get in minecraft but of course this circle’s so big that it would go over your render distance and you wouldn’t even know it’s a circle um you can also change i’ll get this back down to 21. you can also change um the I don’t know how to explain this the circle type so you can have it as a filled circle i haven’t actually ever used this before but you can also have it as a thin circle now this is basically showing the outer edge of the circle i guess it’s not Really too much but what i use is thick because it’s more representative of how you would do it in minecraft because every time you build out here you’re gonna be placing that block right there so you can actually place more blocks here so yeah that’s what i that’s my logic at Least um and it helps me see it a little bit better i feel um so yeah fix the way for me you can also click the full circle box so it’s unticked and that means you can change the i’ll do it for the horizontal that means you can change the width or The height without changing the other one and basically this allows you to do this to create like these sort of shapes they’re called ellipses i’m pretty sure um and they’re pretty helpful especially when you’re doing things like oval shaped buildings yeah you can get pretty funky with this anyway okay so you’ve Made your model you’ve got your circle up it’s however many dimensions you want uh i mean how many diameter you want it is either crazy or is small like mine um this is a fairly small circle just let you guys know so what we’re going to do first is we want to Write the diameter so we have a diameter here of 21. that’s the example i’ll be using for the rest of this video just so that you guys don’t get confused um and the reason i picked a 21 is because making an odd circle oddly enough i find easier because you can actually Measure using the photo easier and you don’t have four blocks in the center instead you only have one which can actually be a lot simpler on my let’s play series right now i actually have a circle that is 180 in diameter and that is actually quite hard because you can’t just get One coordinate to work out where you’re going to build the center of the circle it’s quite complicated um what i’m saying is we want to find the center first now that’s not much of a big deal you can just work out where you want to build certain Center but for me i want to find the center and we need to work out how far we want to build out from that 21 right here so say and i know this already um we have to go out 10 10 each side and that basically gives us The um radius that’s the radius um and it leaves us that one block in the center now what we want to do next is we want to find we want to actually do all of this no no no all that down we’re not going to be building this yet But it’s going to be very soon now i’ve got a picture of the original circle the one from the website on the screen right now and basically what we’re going to do is we’re going to get the first length and now the first length i find right here actually not right there Right here and it’s like this because what we’re actually trying to find actually and this is what it actually looks like is like this ah i botched that but you can see this is like going to be a three this is gonna be a two this is a one this is a Ones the one and i measure to about the center the middle um but i go until the ones are finished usually which usually helps you can figure out your own notation as you get more comfortable but this is what i use i just want to Show you just to be um a little bit helpful so you know this is three you know that’s two you know that’s one one one but so what we’re going to write is we’re going to write 3 two one one one now that’s pretty simple that is Pretty good because that gives us that is basically giving us this and all the way till here and what you do then is you just come from the other length and you go and copy it the same way if you get really confident that this you can actually mirror it But this makes it a little bit more confusing makes it look like it’s a lot bigger when it’s really just three two one and what you can do then is you can put a bracket here oops you put a bracket here and write three times one So that shows us that we actually have three lots of ones which makes it a lot shorter makes it a little bit easier so here is our little formula for this circle let’s go build it in minecraft now okay so we’re in minecraft um in one of my testing worlds or just Building wells um and what we’re going to do now is we’re going to just mark our center of our circle now i’m building a 21 diameter i’ve said that like 20 times i don’t know why i keep saying it but basically what we’re going to do now is measure Out 10 in either direction so let’s do that now this will vary from circle circle but depending on which one um yeah it’ll it’ll vary but basically it’s basically 10 including this outer block and what i do here is i turn that into a different block Like what i did in the center um so let’s do that for everything there we go we’ve got it done um now what we’re going to do is follow our notes um so what we wrote down are three two and then three ones it’s pretty straightforward actually so Um if i was doing this in survival which is the chances are you will be um also a quick note if you are going to be making these circles in survival i heavily suggest that when you’re playing them in creative don’t use world editor don’t use anything because then your muscle memory Doesn’t really work so uh three then our two and we’re gonna act like we’re in survival and then we have a one two three three ones now um because i can’t really do it reverse i’m gonna start here again so it’s one two three two and then we just connect that and as You can see that is a fairly good um circle now this is as this is as close to a perfect circle we can get with this much pixelatedness so now yeah we continue this and as you can see i did that pretty fast i’m just getting really good at keeping this sort Of stuff in my memory for some reason it’s kind of scary and well i just did that i think i messed up i think i messed up the measuring yeah i did so if you’re if something doesn’t add up don’t keep going go go and actually investigate it could Be something terribly wrong that completely stuffs up your whole build but just remember the pattern and you’ll be fine there we are we have built our circle let’s move on how you can translate this into spheres so as you can see here we have a circle um actually three circles three separate Circles um one on the horizontal plane one on the vertical and one on the other opposite vertical it’s a bit complicated um i certainly don’t suggest doing this if you haven’t built many circles um because building a sphere is like building a heap of circles and it Gets larger and larger as you go up and how many circles you’re building um so the first thing that we’re actually going to want to do is we actually want to create our where our first circle’s going to be ah okay i’m i’m here i’m here now okay um What we have to do is we have to find the diameter so this right here represents the diameter um this has a circle um diameter of seven bring that over to our circle we can see that that is actually three one three so bring that back into the game we can Do one three so it looks sort of like this this is the least complex one i’m just gonna i’m just gonna do it for one side actually because otherwise it might take too long so yeah there’s that but every time that this comes out too we actually have to double that because It’s actually mirrored on both sides so this becomes a 11 next and then a 13 15 um and then it goes back down because we’ve reached the midpoint this is the middle and then it starts coming back down so it’s mirrored this side same here but then we got the 11 13 and 15 for the center i’m gonna build that quickly let’s see how it turns out and it ends up turning out like this so now this isn’t done yet this isn’t by no means done um basically what we have to do now is we have to do the same thing but from The other end um so this way we’re doing it from the top and from these so there’s basically three sides three separate little spots because there’s like this little um corner there’s this little corner and now there’s this little um this little corner on the top um it’s not actually that much more It’s just a little bit more placing i guess um i think that’s the right one and it’s mirrored um how the blocks are placed i think oh yes um basically what we have to do is yeah uh two here i’m trying to remember it off my memory But i can’t really do that uh and then it just goes to there we go now for here we have to do another 15 so we basically mirror this one here as you can see is getting complicated if you want a full tutorial on how to build a sphere i will Happily do it if i get enough comments and likes on this video um and if you’re watching this far but as you can see that’s it um of course these center blocks aren’t always that simple with a massive circle like i did in my previous world it got very complex I actually had to 3d model a sphere using a different website of course i’ll put a link in that in the description but hopefully that helps you just a little bit to understand how it’s made basically lots and lots of circles laid on top of each other from different um spots So we have basically we’re basically building three circles no three lots of different types of circles three times in the same little quadrant and i would have to repeat that eight times over here to get a perfect um sphere i think we covered a bit that episode um Not episode i think we covered a bit this video um if you did enjoy make sure to like the video like i said start comment down something below so more people see this and i think that’s it from me i really don’t know what to do did i miss anything i hope i Didn’t miss anything Video Information
