How To Get Diamond Gear in Skyblock! ▫ Minecraft 1.16 Skyblock (Tutorial Let’s Play) [Part 10]

Hello everyone my name is pixariffs and welcome back to skyblock 116. i hope you guys are having a good day in today’s episode we get to reap the benefits of the iron farm that we built in the last episode which is going swimmingly so far and i need to go

Swimmingly just to correct a couple of things because there are a few problems with the design of the farm sweeping the golems in this direction using water streams as you can see most of the time the golems will fall into that catchment area where the campfire

Is and that’s not a problem but as you may have seen at the end of the last episode and as i noticed when i was doing a light bit of tree farming over here i needed to get a lot of wood of course because we ended up with a little bit of a

Deficit of wood after all of the building i’ve been doing i realized that the golems are falling onto the surround at the end of here they’re kind of falling down onto the top of there and yes i did miss a slab in that corner don’t worry about it we’ll be

Able to fix that as well but sometimes the golems will spawn quite far over on this platform and that means that they don’t reach this corner before they get swept off the platform and they land on the border of the kind of catchment area where the campfire is and so what i’m

Gonna probably end up doing is just trying to leap down into the water around there which is why i’ve got very little a value on me right now we can just swap all of our tools out for iron and stuff and that’s what we’re going to do today

But i want to close up some of those fence gates and check whether the golems get caught on that or whether it just ends up with them being diverted down into the fence gates i want them to fall through but check out this golem goes immediately diagonally ends up

Falling in the trap but the ones that will spawn on there end up falling a little bit sooner so hopefully if i take a nice run up on this we should be able to land in the water perfect we can close up these three fence gates leave these two open that

Should be enough room for a golem to come out of the corner here and then if i land in the water down here i should be able to make my way out yes we nailed it hi there big fella sorry sorry to interrupt your death there we go

Should just be able to break my way out of the corner here and replace these slabs perfect we did it and all without losing any levels and to be honest if i’d just fallen in there and died on the campfire all of my stuff would have ended up

In this chest anyway speaking of what’s in this chest we have a lot of iron and this is going to be basically the gateway to the rest of this episode now i am gonna keep half an eye on this farm for a second or two just to check that the golems aren’t

Getting stuck on those fence gates because that’s the idea here is making sure that all of the golems will still make their way out of the farm and are just making their way out in an area we can control but all of this iron means we have access to

All of the other stuff that we can get there we go we got that iron golem farm advancement very nice yeah what we need from this farm of course all of the iron is going to go towards stuff like hoppers it’s going to go towards stuff like pistons redstone components and

Most prominently i think in this episode we’re going to be making ourselves a full set of iron tools and a full set of iron armor minus i think probably the boots i think the boots are going to be the one thing that we will keep gold so that we can avoid any unwanted

Contact with piglens and thankfully i have a couple of decent sets of gold boots not only that but this gives us access to stuff involving villagers we can start trading iron with blacksmiths to get some of those better trades we might even end up getting a full set of diamond tools

And armor in this episode if we can recruit an armorer and a couple of the other professions that are going to keep us supplied with diamond gear and with a couple of iron blocks made and a stem therefore an anvil we have ourselves an anvil at last that means we can start

Renaming stuff if we get name tags it means we can start enchanting tools with books that we can acquire from the librarians or maybe even from a spot of fishing it’s going to mean we have the opportunity to do some very good stuff without even building an enchantment

Table because as people have been concerned about it’s not really possible to get an enchantment table for a little while here in skyblock we have done it in a previous series of this map basically making our way to the end where the end cities will actually still be there and we’ll have

Diamonds in the loot chests but as it is right now there is no way of acquiring standard diamonds and i am going to observe the farm down here for a second or two just to make sure the golems are still making their way off the corner

Which they seem to be some of them don’t even come into contact with those fence gates at all but there will be still some that spawn over here and we need to make sure that they can still leave the farm okay and yes i will go down and correct

That slab put another slab over there or break the blocks or something just so we don’t end up with the possibility of a spawnable space down there the villagers are fenced off down there in that enclosure so if something does spawn up there it shouldn’t be too much of a problem

And i think the campfire there is actually providing just enough light that it might light up that block and prevent spawns anyway but soul fire stuff has a lower light level than regular fire stuff so i’d be surprised if that was lighting up accurately but i

I have a feeling it shouldn’t be a problem so there we go it looks like the iron farm is working a little bit more accurately as a result hopefully we shouldn’t see too many golems stuck around on the top of there let’s get into making some of the other iron stuff

That we need in this episode for a start i’m gonna make myself an iron helmet an iron chest plate and some iron leggings and we’re going to switch over from all of this rag tag chain mail and leather stuff into a decent set of iron armor plus wherever

I ended up leaving them yes some protection three gold boots feels good and while that’s still got only 18 durability left on then we should find another set of gold boots that we can combine them with if we end up you know spending a little bit more time in the

Nether with the piglens or down here at the general mob farm i’m also finally going to make myself a shield i missed having a shield on my hot bar there that feels so much better it feels like i am back in one piece at long last because yeah i use shields

A lot in this game mainly to deflect arrows from you know pillagers and skeletons and piglens and anything else that shoots projectiles at you it’s pretty useful guarding yourself from blazes using a shield as well and i use the shield into the end game of minecraft typically so it is kind of

Important to me to have one and at last we have one last but not least of course i need to make myself a few sticks we’ve been getting iron axes from that one tool smith or weaponsmith but i think it’s probably time to make a couple of iron pickaxes

Oh yes our first iron picks it’s amazing because i’ve been using stone this entire time and nothing has been able to trade me or drop me an iron pickaxe yet we can also make some iron swords let me grab a few more sticks from here getting sticks from trees is wonderful

By the way it’s actually been really useful to not have to worry about crafting those too much but there we go finally we have a full set of iron tools and i think we’re also going to make an iron hoe because having done a little bit more tree farming i’ve discovered

That you don’t even really need efficiency on a hoe in order to farm leaves the only reason i’ve been using ones with efficiency before is because i enchanted them with efficiency previously for a bit of a joke but if you grow trees around here and you want to hoe the leaves

And iron hoe will break the leaves instantly which is super good for tree farming in sky block all you need to do there we go just kind of spam attack at the leaves and you’ll break them all instantly like you do with shears except this time we’re getting all of the saplings and

That helps clear up these leaves very very quickly but we are not done with iron my friends oh no we are not because we have a couple of crafting stations that we can now make as well specifically a smithing table which will allow us to get a

Weaponsmith or a no i always get these mixed around it’s the tool smith that smithing table will allow us to recruit a toolsmith from our current population of unemployed villagers and that will allow us to get a bunch of very important tools and diamond tools further down the line and the last thing

We want to make for now at least is going to be a furnace and i think do we need do we need the smooth stone blocks for this i have a feeling that we do because we can get a smoker using logs but i think the blast furnace recipe requires

Smooth stone there we go it does five iron ingots and three smooth stones it’s been a while since i’ve made any of this stuff so it’s actually all having to come back to me at this point but all we need to do is smelt this a couple of times we’ll smelt

A few of these cobblestone blocks down into stone and then we’ll smelt them from there into smooth stone yes i know i always call this smooth stone it’s force of habit at this point we called it smooth stone for years before smooth stone was actually introduced into the game in a full block

Form but there we go i should take these out of the furnace pop them back in and we can smelt that up into smooth stone for the blast furnace crafting recipe there we go one blast furnace and one smithing table phenomenal stuff and of course hopefully in the future we’ll be

Able to use the smithing table to upgrade some diamond tools into netherrites but i still i’m not entirely hundred percent on how we get netherright in this skyblock pack it can be done and i’m fairly certain that netherright or ancient debris has been added as a loot drop from boss mobs maybe the

Wither will drop some netherites or some some ancient debris or something like that but i have a feeling it’s going to be a little bit tricky to get hold of so i think it’s probably best for now if we aim for diamond tools in this episode

And go no further so let’s see which of you guys wants to be an armorer and which one wants to be a tool smith i think these two over here are looking for jobs currently so yes there we go we have an armorer who’s already trading us iron stuff we

Didn’t even need to make it ourselves although it might be a little cheaper if we do and you are a tool smith right now i wonder if we can re-roll your trades to get anything a little bit better than stone stuff to begin with or do you always start

With stone tools it looks like they do okay but i’ll have to assess which ones of those i feel like trading a whole bunch of the other option is a cold trade but i have a feeling the cold trade is not going to be all that useful to me until i have

A better with a skeleton farm anyway so i guess we’ll just stick with stone tools for now and i can do a little bit of trading with the weaponsmith here because now i can trade him one iron ingot for an emerald which means i can get a bunch of emeralds from this

Guy because this was one of the original ones that we cured i believe from a zombie villager now he wants flint now we can trade a bell of course as well there are so many options here but with one more trade at journeyman level i’ll just trade another iron axe from

You i’m fairly certain that gets you to the next level the expert and there it is an unbreaking two diamond axe for one emerald i think i will you know what i think i will multiple times and hopefully that will result in the final trade in the weaponsmith’s

Trades being a diamond sword because man i could i can absolutely go for a diamond sword right now they’re also trading a diamond per emerald which is almost a capital offense around here but no i think i think we’ll wait for that guy to trade us a diamond sword and then be

Very very happy but look at this we’ve gone straight from an iron axe to a diamond axe in record time i would say so let’s use these eight emeralds that we got from the weaponsmith to get this guy out of the stone age for a second it’s probably

Going to take a couple more trades from you and we will have to trade a little bit of iron stuff but you’ll notice these villagers are already spawning with discounts because they’ve been gossiping with the others about what a lovely chap i am from curing them from zombies and while those discounts

Will not last they will eventually go away and supply and demand mechanics will kick in meaning that the trades prices will fluctuate a little bit it is at least going to be slightly better discounts than we would get normally and i have a feeling that sooner or later

We’ll be able to figure out a set up where we can zombify villagers and cure them again once we’ve got a steady supply of gold and potions and that kind of stuff we should be able to get whatever prices we want out of these villages in the end

But for now at least i can trade with the weaponsmith a couple more times that gem on his belt should get upgraded into master status there we go one more iron trade and we should see what he has available as his final trade smite one okay well that is not terrible it’s not

Great either but i feel like a little bit of extra firepower against the piglens that we’re trying to fight could be worthwhile and you know what buying a few of these swords will mean that we can upgrade it into a smite two sword and beyond

Having smite five on a sword in a map where we really need to be careful fighting at the undead is going to be very handy to have let’s spend some of our last emeralds getting this tool smith out of his novice phase there we go i’m chucking

Some stuff on the ground here because my inventory is so full what have you got coming up next okay another iron trade a very expensive one but one which our farm should be able to supply there we go iron golem still falling like we planned and with you

I think we’re gonna stick to the cheaper trades i think buying a few sets of iron boots won’t be too much of a problem what all of this trading of enchanted tools means of course is that i can finally use some of the 96 levels i’ve acquired

From mashing away at my mob spawner and i can start combining some of these an unbreaking three axe for six levels that’s not too bad a smite two sword for four levels is also great when we go back down and trade a little bit more with those guys i’ll

Be able to get this sword up to smite four even and i’m gonna start keeping all of the leftover tools in here as well we will probably ditch the iron sword in there for now as well as keeping these diamond tools in reserve so we’re already looking at a couple of diamond

Tools on our hotbar right after celebrating getting the iron i might also keep the iron boots in there we can always smelt those down into nuggets seems like a bit of a waste but then again we’re gonna be getting better stuff from these traders before long and i’m gonna

Wait to sleep just so we can trade a little bit more with those weaponsmiths and toolsmiths in the morning get a few more emeralds for our iron while i think of it we should probably convert some of this iron into hoppers because there’s a chance that we can upgrade

The zombie pigman farm today to have automated collection meaning we will get way more gold out of it than we have been already and of course while we’re on the subject of trading it occurs to me that i never introduced you to the librarian i’ve been doing a little

Bit of trading with this one off camera and i decided to lock the book trade in at protection one now this might seem like a bit of a weird one to choose considering there are things like unbreaking and silk touch out there but really what do we need to

Silk touch and with on breaking it’s great to have but we’re obviously going to be able to trade tools as frequently as we want protection enchantments for armor though seem like quite a valuable thing to have at this stage and while it’s only protection one

I can buy multiple books at a low price and end up combining them for protection for whereas if we ended up with a protection for book trade here it could still end up being fairly expensive even with these trading discounts not to mention the fact that further down the line we

Have more enchanted books to get from this chat and so i think it’s probably worth saving it for whatever books come along the line and we can always trade with some more librarians later if we want to so we got a few more iron ingots traded with our friend the weaponsmith

And i have a feeling against my better judgment we are going to be spending a lot of iron trading with these apprentice toolsmiths because a single stone tool is not going to net us much in the way of experience whereas instead of that yeah it seems like pretty costly trading but we can

Spend almost a stack of iron ingots to upgrade this one to giving us enchanted iron tools and that is looking like a slightly better prospect not to mention the fact that that is now increasing their experience a great deal let’s trade a bunch of those

And see where we get on trading some of the higher tier trades is also going to reduce the iron trade a little bit meaning we can get them past journeyman and into master or expert there we go and now unbreaking one diamond shovels are within our grasp

Yes please i will take that again having an efficiency book trade might seem optimal at this point but realistically we don’t need efficiency all that much when we have only a few blocks to break here and there efficiency might be good on an axe to make the tree farming

Operation slightly faster but we’re never going to be able to use haste or anything in this world until we have a beacon set up which is going to be a long way down the line and realistically what are we going to be using haste on because there is nothing

To insta mine around here in the form of stone or anything like that enough waffling anyway it’s time to get the armorers trades boosted a little bit by buying a lot of boots and maybe a helmet or two if i have the emeralds one final set of boots is going to take

Them from novice tier to apprentice which means they’re now selling okay chainmail fair enough not too bad at least the weaponsmith has unlocked that iron trade again and let’s see if the tool smith is yeah still giving us three iron ingots per emerald that’s not terrible we’ll get them closer to that master

Path as well the chainmail boots are always one emerald and the leggings are reduced to one emerald as well let’s buy a handful of leggings and i think my inventory is pretty full at this point you know what at this stage i’m pretty comfortable just keeping a

Couple of sets of these and smelting down all of the excess stuff it might seem frivolous and we might only get iron nuggets out of it but look at the amount of iron we’re turning through at this point iron is now suddenly a trivial resource compared to how scarce it has been previously

And so i think we’ll probably just put a hopper into that we’ll reposition that torch so we can place a chest on top of it and that will just contain all of the iron stuff that we want to automatically smelt down into nuggets so all of the

Chainmail and iron boots and stuff can go in there we might end up putting some of the iron tools in there once we have diamond but for now i think it’s good to have a few of those in reserve just in case we end up falling into the sky

At some point and need some backup tools to go with in the meantime so we’ve managed to generate a little bit more iron even while we were just trading with these villagers so i think it’s time to get this armor out up to maximum tier and see

If we can get some diamond out of him the toolsmith is now trading a little bit more iron which is very good that should get you to master level when i let the particles appear there we go unbreaking one diamond pickaxe i’m breaking one on all

Of these tools seems kind of a surprise but then again i guess it’s worth having better than nothing i suppose now let’s trade a little bit more iron when we can with the weaponsmith and let’s check out the armorers trades so that we can get a few more of these

Bought and hopefully that should take you into trading a little bit more iron armor oh you’re trading shields now interesting i didn’t remember them trading shields before so that’s useful to have and after a brief break just to make sure the villagers got enough sleep and could refresh their

Trades we are back to trade a few more emeralds from the weaponsmith and see if we can unlock a little bit more of what this armor has to offer the toolsmith is now trading five iron per emerald inflation guys you have to fight it and now

We can probably trade a few of these chainmail chest plates from the armorer and that should unlock their expert level giving us hopefully access to a couple of pieces of diamond armor yes there they are pretty expensive but for what it’s worth feather falling two and protection one not a

Bad start not to mention the fact that our friend here gives us protection one books meaning that we can buy a couple of those combine them there we go our first magical trade we’ll end up being able to combine those with some of the armor to give us protection

On the pieces where we don’t have it already and i think oh it’s just a little bit too expensive unless we trade a little bit more iron with one of these guys there we go even for an extended price i think it’s worth it there we go let’s buy ourselves

A set of protection one leggings hey cover me with diamonds indeed we can now swap those out for the iron set and we are one quarter of the way there to having a full set of diamond armor the iron golems are still rolling in by the bucket load and yes as

I mentioned earlier i am going to go over and fix the problem with the back of this we’re just going to pillar up with a couple of spruce slabs hop over here and i think i will take out these planks here just for the sake of symmetry

Because the other side doesn’t seem to have them either one set of diamond boots absolutely yes please and we’re gonna have to do a couple more of those diamond trades just so we can get hold of the last few diamond trades from the armorer because i think buying stuff like shields and

Stuff like that is still going to only increase the xp by a little bit we need to make these max tier trades if we want to unlock the next level but man we are halfway there and we have a full set of diamond tools in the hotbar

It feels good i say a full set of diamond tools but you’ll notice we are actually missing something kind of important and it’s even more important now we’re in the nether update yes of course we are missing the diamond hoe and i think we’ll probably in time

Recruit another tool smith to give us a diamond hoe but for now i think we can make do with the iron one as we saw earlier in this episode the iron hoe is powerful enough to take care of leaves instantly and all we need to do is chuck an

Unbreaking enchantment on one of them and it shouldn’t be any big deal i think we may even have an iron hoe trade from one of the toolsmiths already and if we don’t we can get one of those pretty easily so it should be simple enough and sooner or later we’ll get ourselves the

Diamond hoe as well but for now full diamond arm around this set of diamond tools is really what i’m after let’s use some more of our levels to boost the protection in charmander on these leggings to protection two that’s even better and we can even put

Protection one on the boots but i think i might wait and combine a few of those books not to mention the fact that we’ll probably end up using golden boots or maybe switch to a golden helmet if the helmet trade isn’t much from these uh armorers but the finish

Line is in sight folks just a little bit more trading and we should be good to go actually it looks like the shield trade is still giving us a decent amount of experience and i can always use a few backup shields so that might be the thing that takes us over the line

And into master territory for this armorer it is projectile protection 2 and unbreaking two on the chess play that’s an expensive chest plate but you know what i think i’ll still take it nonetheless unbreaking two is not bad and we can add protection using books i think projectile protection is actually making

Me want to disenchant this and maybe re-enchant it later or maybe just forego the helmet entirely in favor of a slightly better gold helmet which we’ll be able to repair with some gold armor from the mob spawner of course so that shouldn’t be too bad but at last

We have the option to buy a helmet and a chest plate the last two pieces of diamond gear we need here we go we’ve got an unbreaking three gold helmet which i can repair a little bit using this spare helmet i wonder if the other one has slightly higher durability we

Can probably just combine these two for free and then add that to the gold helmet there we go for two levels we’re getting on breaking three gold helmet which is probably going to last as long as any piece of gold armor might last and that’s going to give us something

That we can wear on our heads to go into the nether and keep feather falling boots which is going to be pretty useful to have we’ll tuck the iron helmet in there for now and the protection 3 boots in there we’ll probably drop a bunch of

This iron off and for a second here i’m just going to dip into the nether to replace those blocks underneath the gold farm with some hoppers meaning that we can hopefully end up taking care of the zombie pigmen that way and oh boy is it a different feeling

Coming down into the nether with a full set of diamond stuff and even a smite sword which is going to make this piglen killing process a little bit better now we can probably take out this block here oh is that a piglet or a zombie piglet on the outside i’m fairly

Certain it’s a regular piglen and we can take out these trapdoors because they didn’t really do a huge amount for us let’s put a couple of hoppers underneath here gonna have to break this wall in order to see behind there there we go and now i think i probably need to

Bridge out from here using these extra slabs i’ve got with me and just take care of the last few hoppers in the chain i’ve just borrowed the trap door from the outside of here as well because it looks like i won’t quite be able to see

The angle that i need to see but if we place the trapdoor here i should be able to get myself into a crouching position like so there we go take out that slab there and then chain these hoppers into the ones next door perfect okay we can take this

Trap door out and put that back break the slabs put the walls back as well and i think we’ll probably break this slab here just to make sure i can access that chest now that piglen down there is gonna be taking a couple of hits there we go

Take you out and let’s see if we can get these zombie pigmen mad at us once again there we go hello folks this time however we should be able to gather up all of this gold very easily thanks to smite on the sword which is only uh smite two right now but

Will eventually be a lot more powerful and all of the gold drops we’re getting from these guys should end up in the chest so with looting added to this sword further down the line probably with an enchanted book we should be getting gold by the bucket

Load there we go that’s looking a lot better than the output we were getting previously some gold nuggets and some gold ingots even plus all of the swords and stuff and a slab that we left breaking in there fantastic we got ourselves a few more gold ingots

Nice and easily and all we need to do is reset this farm by walking back over here and walking back up to it and we should have plenty of pigmen still mad at me and while we’re down here i may as well answer a question a

Few people have asked me in the comments about why exactly we find regular zombies spawning in this farm alongside the zombie pig men you’ll notice that they only start turning up when you start hitting the zombie pigmen though and that comes down to the fact that zombie piglens ai

Was originally basically just copied over from zombies except with a neutrality clause added meaning that the pigelins are neutral to you until you end up attacking them in the first place or angering them in some way and when that code was copied over it seems like they left in the behavior that

Happens when you’re on harder difficulties that zombies spawn reinforcement zombies when attacked and that behavior seems to have been just copied over to the zombie pigmen and never removed which means that zombies start showing up when you attack zombie piglens because they are still trying to spawn reinforcement zombies

Back in the overworld we can start smelting down all of those gold swords into gold nuggets we’ve got 18 gold ingots which is more than enough for a couple more golden apples and a little bit of extra rotten flesh that we can trade with the cleric but i think the last

Thing we need to do is grab all of the iron back out of this chest and get ourselves those last pieces of diamond armor why yes i think i will take a few emeralds for iron thank you very much for asking i think i’ll probably

Take a few from you as well even though those are pretty expensive emeralds at this point because that gets us 24 emeralds and oh we’re one short well maybe he’s just refreshed those trades nope looks like we’re trading with the cleric after all there we go a couple of rotten flesh trades

27 emeralds that is a diamond chest plate look at that with on breaking two as well three quarters of the way there and still with that gold helmet on deck if we need it that’s looking pretty swell to me and 14 emeralds is the last thing we need let’s get ourselves

A diamond helmet look at that full diamond and basically full diamonds tools give or take the hoe all in a matter of minutes thanks to trading with villagers that is how you do it folks that is how we are getting diamond everything for the foreseeable future and that is probably going to be
