What’s going on gamers today we’re going to show you how to connect to your server on the xbox and the nintendo switch before we hop into this tutorial don’t forget to give this video a like subscribe and click the notification bell so you can stay up to date on every Tutorial we post just like this one one of the biggest perks for playing on bedrock or a java server with geyser is the potential for cross play bedrock players can join servers from any console that runs bedrock or geyser most people already know this from playing on pc and pocket edition but the Process for joining from a switch or an xbox requires a few extra steps today we’re going to show you how you can join a bedrock server from xbox and the nintendo switch so you can join your friends online joining on xbox requires you to change certain connection settings doing this Is going to give you a new menu from your server page in your game to add a new server these settings aren’t going to affect online play for other games so you can reset them at any time you need to do so first things first you’re going to want To go ahead and open up your xbox settings and then select the network settings option by pressing a then go ahead and jump into advanced settings and choose the dns settings option by of course pressing a select manual and you’re going to be taken to a screen to manually enter your dns settings Here you’re going to go ahead and input the primary ipv4 dns for this you’re going to type in 104.238.130.18 and once you’ve got that entered go ahead and for the secondary enter either 8.8.8.8 or enter 1.1.1.1 save these changes and then the console is going to perform a connection test And then you’re free to hop into minecraft so that you can hop into your apex server for the nintendo switch the process for joining is pretty similar to setting up on the xbox you can use the same basic settings used in the xbox setup you also Are going to receive the exact same menu to join new servers in the game these settings shouldn’t affect online play for other games but you can reset them at any time if you would like to do so on the switch it’s going to start off in A similar way you’re going to go ahead and hop into your system settings and scroll down to the internet option now we’re going to go ahead and select the internet settings option choose your current network and then click on change settings from here scroll down to the dns Settings and change it to manual for the primary dns go ahead and enter one zero four once that’s entered go ahead and in the secondary enter either 8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 and then save your changes and you’re ready to hop into your minecraft server Once your connection settings are saved you can go ahead and open the game once minecraft is opened from there to join a server the process is the same regardless of the console you’re using so we’re going to go ahead and show you how to join on the switch go ahead and select play Once you select play go ahead and hop into the servers tab and then click on any of the pre-added servers on this list i want to reiterate it doesn’t matter which one you select you can select any of these options and it will all be the same Then a new menu is going to pop up when you try and join the server this is going to give you an option to connect to a server remove a server or play on any of the servers that you input from here on then choose the connect to a server Option at the top of the screen here you’re going to have an option to enter your server address change a server port or add to your server list go ahead and enter the server address and port of the server you’d like to join make sure that if you want to connect More than one time then you also make sure that the add to server list is checked green all you need to do from here is simply click on submit and you’re ready to hop into your minecraft apex server now it’s time to go over some common issues the first one being sometimes you’re Unable to connect to the world or the server this is pretty common for bedrock servers there are not many surefire ways to resolve this issue but here are our recommendations number one you can restart your console restart your server or you can make sure that both your game and console are fully updated The last option is changing your secondary dns from 8.8.8 to 1.1.1 or vice versa this is probably going to be the most useful one and the one that you should try first another huge common issue is wow this server is popular when this pops up it probably means that the server has too Many people on it or too many connection attempts have been made at once if you believe that you’re getting this error in error though the quickest and easiest way to fix it is either to wait a few minutes or just to restart the server the problem is gonna go away once A server comes back up or is no longer getting so many connection attempts at once crossplay for many games and mostly minecraft has been a dream for every player being able to play with your family members or your schoolmates is so important and can be tons of fun even more than Modded or anything that minecraft has to offer so we’re glad to show you how easy it is to do this and how much fun it really can be well folks that’s all we’ve got for you today and as always we hope you have lots of fun Thanks for About This Video
Crossplay in Minecraft has historically been a little tricky, with no simple way for console players to join their friends on PC in a Minecraft server. However, thanks to GeyserMC, it’s possible for console players to join any Minecraft server. PC players and those using Pocket Edition may already be aware of this method, but joining a Bedrock server from Xbox or the Nintendo Switch has a couple of extra steps to complete before they can join. This video will show you how to join a Minecraft Bedrock edition server from Xbox or Switch.
