Oh man oh man this is gonna be awkward so you you know that big project that we just started last episode of course you do of course um you never mess an episode no no the giant panda resort the great panda resort it’s great and it’s giant We deforested the whole jungle it’s like completely clear and we’re ready to go on on part two of the project it was gonna be a one episode thing and and then i decided to cut it into two we’d do more with the project like fancy rails maybe a second statue with what oh Terraforming oh man it’s gonna be sweet it’s gonna be really cool i would never postpone a project that i started not like the wolf farm not no not like this no i would never postpone a project caves and cliffs part one has a release date ramming into a device near june 8th yeah So minecraft 1.17 we finally done it gamers we finally done it we have 1.17 it’s updating very soon at this point look at the calendar less than a week away minecraft 1.17 it’s so soon when i made part one of this project working on this statue Clearing out the island now i made that video right before they announced the release date like couple days right before the release date i get the episodes out early on patreon yep i am so sorry pandas you look livid you look very angry i am so sorry about this We’re gonna come back to this project some other time minecraft 1.17 is almost here there are a couple big things that we need to do in this world to get it ready for 1.17 that’s right this world 1.17 we’re not resetting the world we’re doing too good in this world We have to get it ready for the next big update we’re going to keep this world in 1.17 all the way to 1.18 hopefully today’s episode is going to be all about resetting chunks we’re going to use mca selector and wipe a bunch of the chunks in the jungle I’ve been thinking about it looking at the land that we haven’t really used i think we could basically reset all of this down here like right past the river so we have a bunch of new stuff basically going straight down this way uh past the temple and yeah basically everything else you Know what never mind i think a better way to explain this would be talking about what we actually want to keep so the temple over here it’s kind of like the corner of everything that we built the panda resort definitely want to keep that the entire island i’ve already cleared it Out i don’t want to clear it out again flying straight out from the temple this way we don’t have too much it is pretty clean it’s pretty normal but i want to keep this whole island i think uh going over this way this is basically the corner of Everything that we built in the jungle the the outpost right there now uh flying straight out this way uh basically conveniently in a straight line we have everything the the full warm everything if we keep going out to like maybe like this tree or so right here And land yep basically a straight line now we go this way uh if we keep going this way we’re gonna have that gigantic sweet berry farm don’t use it very much but it’s there and then going out this way on this corner we have the skeleton farm so basically everything inside of that Box above ground is keepable but there is one problem episode 118 you remember it the q a special where i lit up a bunch of the caves guaranteed that some of the caves went past this area especially on this side like they have to be under the plains biome and honestly Do you think i want to double light up those caves like do it again do you like would i like forget about being able to find copper inside of the caves no way i i don’t want to do that at all i don’t want to have to light up those Caves for a second time that would not be fun at the same time though we want to have amethyst geodes close to the base so i think that’s where the south part of the jungle comes in if we were to reset basically everything like let’s say every single chunk Maybe from like this point or even one chunk over on like down that way we could potentially find an emphasis shield like maybe if we get like really lucky underneath the spinning oscillator under the ground and then we could set up an amethyst farm and look at how close this Is to everything like this is really really close we have a river right there that’s the river it’s yeah it’s kind of a natural border if we reset everything down there that’s good i haven’t lit up any of these caves anyways i think for the most part And we can get 1.17 stuff really close to the jungle spoiler alert we’re leaving the jungle base after next episode though yep that’s right as soon as we update the world we moved to an entirely new area we’re not getting rid of the jungle we’re gonna keep everything that we Built i’m definitely not resetting these chunks in no way but we’re not staying here we need a new base so we can do entirely new things and we’re gonna have a fresh start we’re not gonna have any of the things that i have right now this bed that i’m about to craft I’m not gonna have it my lux off white chest plate that i have i’m not gonna have it even this helmet right here scooper it’s gonna be gone pickaxe 2. because there’s no new generation or anything cool like that we’re gonna keep this world in 1.17 But we’re going for a fresh start we’re gonna go to an entirely new zone and start over so uh new zone before we reset any chunks we need to figure out where we want this new zone to be so right now we live right there in the jungle i have one big idea The idea is to maybe move over there i think that could be a really cool spot we have the starter house area over there we definitely don’t want to reset that and actually for the most part a lot of these chunks i really don’t care about resetting like over here i’m Not going to reset all those but we need to reset wherever we go and resettle to we definitely need to be able to go down into the caves find copper amethyst geodes all of that kind of stuff so before we can do anything with mca selector today We need to explore a little bit which is going to take some time if you’re here to figure out how to use mca selector to reset chunks there’s a time on screen right now skip to that time in the video and that’ll be the mca selector where i’m wiping the chunks and everything Like that but if you’re a real one and you’re here for the video good news you don’t have to skip anything all right so that’s the juggle base what i think i want to reset around the jungle base but now let’s go scout on a new base location so I asked you guys on twitter what’s the best biome for building with the new 1.17 things things like deep slate things like copper the overwhelming response was the tyga there was a lot of other biomes represented in there including under the ground but the tiger the tackle was definitely the most common One and look at this we have a tiger right here conveniently right next to a lukewarm motion right there it could be a little bit better it could be a warm ocean but it’s pretty convenient like i mean you saw how quick it was to fly here we Literally just fly down the coast and then we’re right over here inside of the taiga i feel like this might be a really good location for a new base i mean if we were to wipe all of these chunks in here including the village and i think the village would regenerate Right there but to be honest i don’t really care about it if we were to reset all of these chunks right here we’d be able to go under the ground and find copper there’s got to be cave systems under here and the cool part it’s actually kind of Like a peninsula so we could easily like wall off the peninsula build like a giant town or a castle or a base or whatever i do even more conveniently if i were to go up and then follow the coastline this way we could reset All of this land in here too by the way we could keep going over this way maybe settle in some part of the tiger over here and then right over here we have a village ah the ghetto we have not been here in a long time it’s right here so we could do More raids and stuff like that we’re not going to reset this town by the way the sound has to stay but yeah if we lived in the taiga on that peninsula we’d be pretty close to that area and then if we kept going up this way we would have the starter house Over there too which is pretty cool now over here we have a giant mountain mountains were another common biome for 1.17 stuff but we can’t mountains are being reset in 1.18 and i don’t want to build in the same bottoms two times in a row if i Want to build in the mountains in 1.18 i don’t want to build in the mountains in 1.17 even if the mountains are basically an entirely separate biome i don’t want to do it i’m still trying to decide what i want to do with the 1.17 base but this land Is really easy to work with over there we have more of a flat bit over here we have more hilly bits like look at these islands right there like those could be sweet to build on this tiger biome really good candidate for a new base there’s so Much space here we haven’t done anything with it at all we can reset this entire tiger in this whole area be able to go down to the caves find the new stuff it’s by the ocean which is cool it’s really close to the jungle it’s close to everything else which is nice But but could it be too close maybe if i were exploring running around i could easily run into the the raid village pretty easily over there if we were to go on the other side of the ocean though oh there’s no way i would have to literally get in a boat And then sail across and and then obviously i’m gonna run into the old stuff however uh over here i think this is all just like a plain forest but do you remember this land formation right here one of the exploration episodes this giant mountain in the middle of This lake right here super cool looking uh this is really close too and i didn’t even realize i i could have sworn this was an entire forest biome but no it’s the taco biome look at this we’re inside of a tiger and even better there’s a gigantic tiger over here that wraps All the way around this way haven’t done anything at all over here other than explore over here we have a forest which is cool we probably wouldn’t use it very much maybe we’ll get the saplings from there on this side we have a mountain which we Definitely can’t do but it is a nice backdrop for sure and then over here even more taiga look at this this is literally perfect like picture it you have a base over here that’s in the background it’s just so cool looking okay so if i have to rank them old tiger That we were adjusting by the village it’s more convenient of a location a little bit closer but it ranks in below this one this one is way more cool the land formation we finally potentially have a use for it too it’s a gigantic tiger there’s nothing that has been done over here at All i’m pretty sure this banner over here marks a ruined portal yeah it’s a ruined portal which doesn’t matter at all we’ve looted it but we could just reset this whole area over here delete the loot so we don’t have it twice or something like that and then have this amazing Amazing literally perfect statue right there or mountain oh it’s perfect so what i’m saying here is we can hear you about the old tiger this saga definitely places above the other one we could still reset that one if we wanted to we haven’t done anything over there but this is Definitely cooler for our base this is one of the coolest generation things that i’ve ever seen and i’m pretty sure we could pretty easily i mean it would be a bigger project but we could take water from there to there and then dig right out to here and then We have a canal out to the ocean then we could sail right back over to the jungle base if we ever needed to and we’re basically in a straight line from the jungle base too which is pretty sweet the same gigantic lukewarm ocean over here too i like it However there is one thing that i would like to see so uh we live in this jungle what if we were to keep going down this way like where does the jungle go i don’t think i’ve ever been over here and we’re probably just gonna end up resetting these chunks anyways so Honestly now that i think about it not even a point in making a map if we’re going to reset it we’ll explore it later but over here aha interesting interesting interesting another tiger biome uh how does this tiger look see the cool thing about this one is we’d be really Close to the jungle base like with high enough render distance and a tall enough tower i might even be able to see like the temple from here maybe now there might be stretching it but this is interesting this is really close maybe too close honestly i mean we have a lot of good Bottoms over here an ocean right there forest birch forest which is really cool uh there was a mountain and then obviously the jungle this is cool but it might be too close oh look a village too that’s crazy yeah i mean i think we want to feel like We’re in an entirely new zone right like if i were to settle in here like let’s say right there i could literally just walk into the jungle follow the coast and in no time i would be right back over at the old base uh it might be a Little bit farther than i thought but i still think it’s way too close like i said look at this we’re here already it’s too close so i want to feel way more isolated oh that’s gigantic what is that i’ve never seen that before oh that’s crazy and endermen have been there yeah that Taiga is cool and it’s really convenient but it’s too close so i think tyga number two the area with the gigantic wool rock is the tiger that we want to go for we need to reset those chunks and then a bunch of the chunks around the jungle so We can have the new stuff by the jungle when we come back to the jungle to be clear though i’m not entirely sure if i’m gonna end up staying in the taiga for sure yet i might not i might i don’t know not 100 decided so if there’s a biome That you think 1.70 stuff really fits in throw it in the comments time for mca selector there’s a link in the description of this video the link is going to take you to a page that looks like this this is where you get mca selector from Mca selector is a really cool and really useful program that lets you reset chunks in your world you could even if you wanted to reset your entire end dimension or entire another dimension with this program it’s super simple to use too so the page looks pretty confusing like there’s a Lot here and there are actually tutorials on how to use this program different commands and things that you could do with the program uh it’s actually pretty cool you could do like a lot with this stuff but i’m just going to show you the basics by the Way mca selector is for minecraft java edition don’t use that on bedrock so mca selector how do you get it go to the link in the description you should go to a page that looks like this this is the official download page uh then you’re looking for this right Here it says downloads click on that it’s gonna take you to the version page right here so you can choose what version you want the download that you’re gonna use is gonna depend on a couple things like your game version like if you’re watching this video in The future there might be a more up-to-date version you would definitely want to use that and it’s gonna depend on what you actually play minecraft on like uh windows or or mac or whatever i play it on windows though so this is what i need to use right here i’m gonna click on This and it’s gonna start downloading after you download mca selector open the file and run it it’s gonna go through an installation process which is pretty straightforward i’ve already gone through it and then after you fully install the program open it up and you should see something that looks like this Right here this is basically a blank world right now we can zoom in and out with the scroll wheel there’s nothing here we need to put our world inside of this program don’t make a mistake before you do this you need to back your world up make sure You back your world up like copy it out of your minecraft saves folder paste it somewhere zip it make a backup copy of your world just in case you delete the wrong thing if you delete the wrong thing and you didn’t make a backup it’s gone forever all of your builds are Erased the storage cathedral is deleted all of the pets are deleted it’s gone deleted back your world up also you need to make sure you’re not actually in your world like save and quit the world to actually do this don’t don’t have the world open in like a different world uh Quit i’m actually just gonna quit minecraft all the way if you have questions about installing mca selector like it’s really confusing to you go back to that link in the description there’s a whole section on that page about installing mca selector it should help okay so i’ve made a backup of the Minecraft guide world just in case today i’m going to show you how to reset chunks there’s a lot that you can do with this program though if you want to use this thing for more highly advise that you look up other videos to actually reset chunks first We’re gonna need to open our world we’re gonna need to go to file and then open world when you press file open world it should take you right to your minecraft saves folder this is where you’re gonna be able to find all of your worlds if it doesn’t Take you to your minecraft saves folder for some reason then you’re gonna need to find it this is how you can find the minecraft saves folder on windows osx and linux once you find the saves folder you should see all of your worlds you’re gonna wanna choose the world that you’re Trying to reset today we’re gonna go with the guide world select folder once we do that we have three options minecraft guide dim negative one dim one if we choose dim one say okay and load it up we’re actually gonna get the end dimension so uh check This out actually if we were to zoom in over here we have the middle end island right there where we take the dragon on and then we have the end over here we found two end cities in this world this one right there with the elytra and then this other smaller one and That’s literally it you can see the bridges that i’ve made but yep for the end in our world that’s it that’s literally it i have done like nothing in the end at all if i wanted to reset the end right now i could i could just start selecting all These chunks delete these and then reset the end i’d have a brand new end but i don’t want to do that instead of dim one let’s go dim negative one dim negative one is gonna be the nether so check this out this looks so cool this right here is the gold farmest Gigantic right below the gold farm kind of off to the side is the nether hub this is like the piglon bartering hall and then these things are like the ice roads that i have set up so this goes to the nether fortress over there uh i think that’s the starter base the Stronghold the desert we’ve actually been to a lot of places in another we’ve explored a lot you can see the biomes that really stand out here like basalt soul sand warped crimson another waste but we actually don’t need to do anything with the nether either dim one is the end Negative one is the nether the final dimension if you want to reset your overworld is going to be your world name so minecraft guide if we hit ok it’s going to load up the guide world now if your world is really big and you’re loading it for the first time It might take a little bit of time i actually already loaded the world in the program so that’s why i kind of like loaded right up but yeah it might take time now it’s definitely going to help if you’ve looked at maps in your world like i’ve Looked at maps so i really recognize all of this there’s going to be more detail when we zoom in but yeah i recognize all this so this is the minecraft guide world we have the mesa biome over there we got there with portal exploring uh tundra that we portal explored to Uh more ocean that we portal explored and then yeah just everything else that we’ve explored too i guess i’ve gone down there uh over here this is the or this desert right here i think it’s the ice desert or excuse me the sand desert maybe No maybe not uh somewhere in here is the desert that i go to get sand but more importantly this uh ocean right here this is the one that we were just flying around so up here we actually have the starter house this is like the flower forest biome Starter house over there the zombie farm then we have this giant ocean we haven’t done anything this is the ghetto this is the tiger village that were just looking at a little bit ago over here is a jungle base look at how cool it looks on this program Looks sweet and then more importantly the area that we want to reset i think it’s based around this lake right here so controlling mca selector is a little weird to be honest so uh to move around you’re going to press the middle mouse button and like click and drag To select a chunk you’re going to use the left mouse button that’s kind of normal and then deselect you use the right mouse button that’s how you do that now be careful right now this might look like a chunk but it’s actually not this is an absurd amount of area If we were to zoom in all the way like closer then we can see these smaller boxes these are the actual chunks so if i want to reset like these chunks i could just click and you can actually drag here but this is where the whole backup stuff comes in Because if i were to accidentally like delete all of this right here and i didn’t do a backup everything is literally gone so yeah be really careful now the chunks aren’t deleted when you select them uh selecting them is just selecting them now before you just start deleting Chunks i highly recommend that you fly around your world like we did in the beginning of the video and look at your world and see what you actually want to delete and what you want to keep once you delete it it’s gone forever so uh we said we want to keep this island For sure but all of this jungle down here like for the most part like literally all of this it doesn’t matter it’s irrelevant we can honestly just wipe this whole jungle right there and that would be fine same width on this side of the temple we could just wipe all of that Maybe even down here we could get a little bit closer to the temple like that and maybe even over here we wipe closer to the temple too definitely want to be careful though because one chunk over that’s gonna actually start deleting the temple not good at all but this is good Then over here we could delete all of that probably at least uh then over here maybe we’ll keep the actual land like right here that we’ve generated next to the watchtower but then we could just go like clean straight up this way oh but i’ve caved all that ah Oh that’s painful that’s really painful okay uh change of plans what we’re gonna do is keep this gigantic landform right there we’ll keep all of that this island though we could reset this entire island in this area and then maybe honestly just the jungle out like this way like this is Getting pretty far from the base if this is lit up it’s fine it’s whatever i guess i could redo it no uh this tiger i said something about resetting the tiger yes definitely what i think we’ll do though is keep the village so we leave the village alone We’ve reset maybe like all of this space in here so this whole tiger biome is completely new we could also uh maybe honestly just reset all of this space too okay so i’ve selected a lot of stuff now here’s what we have down here we have This it gets pretty close to the temple but that’s good keeps the panda island over here we’ll maybe keep those two then it’ll go straight up reset this whole tiger other than the village over here we’ll keep those chunks uh it goes up and around this way gets Pretty close to that village but but not all the way then it keeps going down this way over here i started following the river so we’ll keep this whole plains biome this forest will all get reset it’ll go down this way we reset this giant mountain in there too we go Straight down through the jungle around the water over here so we can hopefully keep those caves then go this way uh this way and all of that gets reset that’s a pretty good outline for the jungle the only thing that i’m kind of unsure about is maybe this lake like Maybe we caught into it a little bit i mean the closer we can get the new caves the better so maybe we do that and then actually over here let’s just cut out and reset all that too um it’s a lot uh but it should be good add a little bit More to it and here we go this is what we have we’re going to delete all of this so when we’re ready to delete everything go to selection and then go to delete selected chunks now make sure everything’s right i definitely get nervous about this i hope There’s nothing i forgot about but we should be good delete selected chunks uh do i want to delete them i think so and there we go the chunks are deleted so once they’re deleted it’s just gonna be a black hole like that that means these chunks are completely reset we’ve never seen them Before now let’s say you have a bigger area of land that you’ve been to but you want to reset but you also haven’t done anything in it like over here this is that island that we want to make the new base by all you have to do is just just click on The big box you can zoom out all the way or a little bit more and just select bigger chunks bigger areas so like all of this i’m fine with deleting it uh we’ll go ahead and actually just finish clearing those chunks right there um or no no not that one that’s the Village yeah when you’re using this thing you have to be like really careful like you definitely want to think about what you’re actually deleting make sure you like know your world i mean you could just regen it back but like i said earlier if you build something there and you delete it it’s Gone so if we’re gonna move out here we wanna have like a lot of land to be able to explore and which means i think all of that we’re just gonna go ahead and reset this gigantic area over here uh maybe this too might as well the map Should still be loaded in which might be a little weird but we’ll just reset all of that and then what it was over here like what is this uh a mountain biome um we reset it the more stuff that we can reset honestly the better because that means More 1.17 stuff under the ground so we could set up like an amethyst farm and stuff like that so uh over here we get pretty close to the world spawn we actually might even have it the world spawn might be over here but that’s fine minecraft 1.17 doesn’t Change over world generation so when i go ahead and delete even more of these chunks uh it’s gonna be an absurd amount this time uh actually if i were to go back over to these spots everything’s gonna look the same even in 1.17 like on the overworld look at my World now though it’s been way trimmed down that whole area is completely gone it doesn’t exist anymore and neither does this so that means we update the world to 1.17 fly around go under the ground we can find geodes and copper generating pretty sweet so that’s it that’s literally it middle Mouse button to move around scroll to zoom in and out uh left click to select right click to deselect if you accidentally select something select something big when you’re zoomed out zoom in i use the left mouse button click and drag to like save areas like let’s say i want to keep This whole island and then all you have to do is select and then delete chunks right there when you’re fully done with deleting chunks all you have to do is hit quit and so there we go the world has been reset we’re back in the world however small problem we’re in 1.16 Still so i just reloaded in all these chunks which means i’m gonna have to reset them again but i want to show you that it worked so uh over here we had a jungle temple yeah yeah yeah right here so we found this temple a while ago looted it long time ago Um we looted it by you know going to the front door and the front door right here fully sealed completely closed off if we go into here it sounds like there’s a zombie in there or at least one oh yeah there you are goodbye and another one okay okay excuse me you Can go away but yeah check it out the jungle temple has been fully reset it’s dark again if we go over here there’s gonna be a trap right there uh not so sneaky right there the loot it’s back bamboo so basically uh this jungle temple that we found before fully explored definitely Took the loot from lit it up everything like that it’s back and it’s completely new again which means our resetting chunks worked it also means because i’ve been there i’m gonna have to do it again right before 1.17 one weird thing you might notice or a little bit weird if you Think about it uh when you reset chunks like on this map i reset all of these chunks basically maybe actually literally all of them uh the map is still filled in so the maps are already loaded into the world the world has the data which means they’re not going To reset let’s say you had all of the maps in your world filled in like all of them you reset every single chunk for whatever reason instead of starting a new world you go back into the world the maps are going to be filled up they already have all of the data so Yep if you don’t like it maybe just like despawn the map or something like that mca selector it’s so easy to use and it’s so useful especially when there’s a big update so it’s a pretty special moment right here this only happens every once in a while Once every 10 episodes actually to be exact so uh on the rarity scale pretty rare here it’s time for a new book it’s also time for the comments of the day episode 120. to make it look more natural you could use a few bamboo lines as a containment wall for the panda island And if they’re still getting out you could put down some walls fences or even some iron bars so that’s about the great panda resort uh the grey panda resort look at it fully finished in all of its glory like i said looks completely different uh by the end of this episode yeah That’s genius though that’s one problem that i was having when i was setting up the wall here look at how weird it looks like it looks like really unnatural like just outlining it with the stone bricks i don’t know i don’t really like it so maybe honestly Maybe like i don’t do this whole wall all the way around the thing like i just do it on part of this thing like maybe over here by the ravine and then bamboo like that is genius like this is such a good idea or even like iron bars or i was thinking Like maybe switch it up put some fences in here too because uh plain and simple the stone bricks all the way around the island it might make it look really really weird great panda resort we’ll have to come back to that and finish that and also Full warm i have not forgotten there is so much more that we have to do with the full warm over here like i mean check this out we have the 48 sheep but no shear drop off we have the collection system and we have the sheep pit kind of but it Doesn’t look very good i didn’t do anything outside of this thing i have a lot of ideas and then inside of the thing yeah it’s still pretty bare bones in here i mean it works which is really good but we need an item sorting thing an item storing thing uh Make it look good in here of course maybe more sheep i don’t know i’m kind of happy with how many sheep are in here now for example another thing that i want to do rip this whole jungle down because we built this really cool looking factory and look at it i mean Like seriously look at the factory we’re not done with the jungle base definitely not however we’re
