Hey guys i’m spook i’m back with another tutorial and today i’m going to be teaching you how to install the oranges mod but for a server i know my last video got a lot of suggestions uh saying that i should teach you how to install on a server because i really Only taught you how to install it just for your own person so you can join a server or play single player um but i’m going to be showing you today how to set one up for yourself so that all your friends can join so i’ve got four links here this time And i forgot to mention in the last video actually but the first like is going to be the java if you don’t have java you’re going to want it you’re going to want to hit download you’re going to want to hit agree to start free download The reason you’re going to want java is because this is a sort of program that’s going to allow you to open up other files that we’re going to need later so you’re just going to download that and once it pops up it might not show up Here but normally it will if it doesn’t you’re just going to open your file explorer and find wherever you saved it mine saved in downloads so i can double click this or i could click this i’m just going to click this because it’s easier for me to wait for that to open up Gonna hit yes all right and then it’ll pop up with something like this you’re gonna hit install and then you are simply going to wait for it to install shouldn’t take too long if you already have java and you just need to update it uh if you don’t it might take a little Bit longer but ordinarily shouldn’t take too long all right so then once you’ve successfully installed java it’s just gonna say that you have successfully installed java and you can just close that and we don’t need to deal with this link anymore uh second link we’re going to want to do Is the fabric website this is where you get fabric to install on the server the minecraft origins mod runs on fabric which is a mod loader um it’s kind of like forged but in my opinion it’s a little bit better that’s just my opinion though um so you’re going to hit uh download Here i’m going to open it in a new link so i can come back to here eventually then you’re going to go to that new tab and you can download either the jar or the exe i prefer the jar because it’s easier that way jar files are also What you need java to open so i’m going to download that hit save and then i’m going to scroll down here click that to open it up and then it’s gonna pop up with a little window see in my last tutorial you did client right it’s the one that’s Already selected and that’s basically what puts a fabric in the minecraft launcher so if i were to just hit install that is what puts this right here so that you can actually play with it what we’re going to want though is we’re going to want servers so we’re going to Hit the server tab instead we’re going to make sure all this is selected normally it’s all already set there by default and we’re going to hit install it’s gonna download a few things make sure everything’s all good and then it’s gonna pop up with another window should say server successfully installed Now it’s gonna say that the server jar is found i’ve already installed it for you it’s probably gonna be red it’s going to say that it’s not found what you’re going to want to do is hit download server jar and it will do that should be about 37 mb nothing too huge And then once that’s done and this it’s all green and good you’re just going to hit done and then you’re just going to exit out of that next file we’re going to want closing out the other two is the origins mod this is the mod that does all the cool stuff So this is on a curves forged website so we’re going to go up here at the top and hit files and then most likely it’s going to be at the very top that’s where all the latest files are posted this one was uploaded on january 13th It’s 1.16.5 this is the one we want so we’re gonna go over here we’re gonna hit download and we’re just gonna save it in our downloads folder just like everything else you know and there we go now we got the oranges mod we don’t really need to do anything With this yet we’re just going to kind of keep it there for now so i’m going to hit the x so we don’t really need to look at that anymore i’m ready to close out of this and now the only tab left is going to be whatever you’re running your server on So i’m using server.pro which is my personal favorite it’s a really good server hosting website where you can do free service or paid servers this one is a paid server it’s like five dollars it’s nothing too crazy it’s like two gigabytes um but i can like check all my files Here for the server this is just like a blank template you know these are all the default files uh i can check the console and stuff this is the server starting and generating the world for the first time nothing too crazy um looks kind of complicated unless you know what you’re doing But we’re not really going to need to deal with the console anyway so don’t worry about it alright so then once you’ve got all these files you’re going to want to go to the downloads folder or wherever you save them and we’re going to find all four of these files right here I’m just holding down control and clicking them so i can select all of them at once and i’m going to go on my desktop and i’m going to create a new folder because we’re going to want a new folder for this i’m just going to call it tutorial you Can call it whatever you want just something that you know what it is you know just so you don’t lose it um we’ve got two folders here now so basically what i’m going to do is i am going to drag the fabric server launch in here and i’m going to drag server in Here the fabric installer we’re not really going to need anymore because that’s what got you these two files right so we can actually just delete this if you want or you can leave it there just for future reference in case you ever need to install it again your choice We can also delete java because we already have that installed that’s just the installer for it then we’re just going to leave this here for now we’ll come back to it later all right so then once we have this folder with just these two files in here What we’re going to want to do is hit fabric server launch and make sure you have java installed you should see like a little mug icon right there you’re just gonna double click the file to open it and it will it will make some folders it’ll make a properties file Just give it a few moments to kind of generate everything you know these are actually the files for your server these are what you want in your server all right so now that we have these files in the folder we’re going to go back to our server tab We’re going to make sure we’re in the file section or wherever wherever you can access all your files like your world and your settings and all that it’s going to look a little different depending on what server host you use but this is what it looks like if you’re using a server pro What you’re going to want to do is find wherever the upload option is for me it’s in the top right you can hit upload and i get to choose which files i want to upload what i’m going to do here is i’m going to go to my desktop Go to my tutorial folder which is the one i’m using and i’m just going to ctrl a to select everything i can possibly select and we’re just going to hit open and then it didn’t select all of them because some of the folders were empty but we’re just gonna upload whatever Files it’ll let me upload from that folder right all right so now it is uploading all the files all right and then once you’ve got all these files in here looking all nice and pretty like they always are you’re gonna make sure that you’re gonna go to the fabric server launch Jar wherever the option is you’re going to rename it to custom.jar so a gets rid of the super long name and b is just like a sort of placeholder name just so we know where the file is when we need it after that you’re going to go back to Your dashboard and there should be a advanced settings option where you can change your server jar this might look different depending on what server host you’re using but generally it’s going to be called server jar and there should be some sort of drop down box or custom thing where you Can type stuff in you’re just going to want to make sure that custom jar is selected and then hit save changes after that all we have to do is restart our server and our server will officially be running on fabric while your service restarting if you want to go to the console There should be a line near the very top while it’s restarting with the new fabric jar that says that fabric is preparing jars on first launch this may take a few seconds that’s entirely normal and it means that you’ve done stuff right all right now that the server is launched alright we Can scroll all the way down to our server and if we join it and press f3 once we load into the world we’ll see that at the very top left it says fabric server as opposed to the vanilla server said before now that we know that that works Everything seems pretty dang normal so we can just close out of that leave the server and we can move on to our next step all right next step is going to be getting the fabric api which is a mod technically that needs um to be installed for origins to work So if you go back to the fabric website there is a fabric api from minecraft 1.14 and above we’re going to want to click on that and it’s going to take us to a curseforge website same thing here we’re going to go over to files Most recent file is going to be at the top just like the oranges button this one was uploaded on january 27th also for 1.16.5 this is the one we want so we’re just going to hit download i’m going to save that in my downloads folder just like everything else And then we’re gonna go back here and now if we check in our files section there’s a bunch of folders here and a bunch of text documents we’re not gonna really need to focus on any of these except the mods folder which should already be made for you once you’ve installed fabric I’m just going to click on that folder to go inside it as you can see there’s nothing really here right now it’s looking very very dry bones so we’re going to hit upload we’re going to choose the files we want to upload and we’re going to go to our downloads Where we have everything saved and we’re going to want to select both the fabric api and the origins mod simultaneously you can also do one and the other one at a time but i just like to select both just so it goes faster you’re going to hit open and then upload All right and then once these files are here you can go back and restart the server again and this time the server will boot up with the fabric api and the origins mod installed now from this point forward if you haven’t checked out my other video on How to install it on client side you’re going to want to go check that out because for this specific mod unless you install it both on the server which is this video and on client side which is the last video it’s not going to work you’re Going to want to install it on both opening up the game and making sure that you’re using the fabric loader just like in the last video you’re going to hit play and we’re just going to join the server all right and joining the server We are greeted with our origins mod where we can choose any origin we’d like i personally am a big fan of phantoms which you can probably guess why but yeah that’s how you install the oranges mono server you can have anybody join that you want you can have your Friends join as long as they follow my last video they don’t necessarily need to follow this one this is more just for server owners who want to get servers set up for their friends to play on and yeah any other fabric related mods that you want to add All you would theoretically have to do is just go back to the files go to the mods folder and any mods you want as long as it’s a jar file just make sure you upload it into here and it should work just fine that’s gonna be all for this time if you Enjoyed make sure to leave a like and possibly slap that subscribe button like it owes you money just just slap it you know like it owes you that peanut butter jelly sandwich from back in the second grade you know hope you enjoyed watching i’ll see you guys next time also quick Announcement for you guys i stream on twitch so if you
