Insane Minecraft Wither Rose Farm!

Hello everyone my name is pig Soros and welcome back to the Minecraft Survival Guide now if you guys are having a good day we are back here once again in founders forge ready to celebrate Halloween the spookiest nights of the year are upon us and today I’ve got I’m

Wearing a wither skull because we’ve got to be doing some stuff to mess with the wither I’m gonna put my creeper head back on now this is my my official hallowen costume for this year I guess and so yeah we’re going to do some stuff with the wither today specifically

Because I want to get my hands on a renewable supply of wither roses where the roses are a unique flower that we have covered elsewhere in the series before but to refresh your memory it’s a flower that you can plant just like any other flower it will also be

Able to be planted in the nether on netherrack and on soul sound and that kind of stuff and it damages you if you walk over it in fact it gives you two seconds of the wither effect and that can be used for a variety of things including the farming of mobs you can

Actually affect mobs with the wither effect and the only things that are immune are wither skeletons and the wither themself and of course the the dragon but then the dragon isn’t really gonna fly through with a rose anyway so today we are going to head out to the

End once again a slightly spooky dimension in itself and we are going to do our best to start farming where the roses and there are a couple of different ways you can do this the best way that I’ve seen is with Enderman because enamine can easily be attracted

In large quantities to an endermite in march the same way as they did in our and ender pearl farm and are our kind of Enderman XP farm we’re gonna do that slightly differently but the idea is that they get attracted to an area using an endermite and then the wither ends up

Killing them how are we going to trap the wither so that it doesn’t get out and wreak havoc on us and the surrounding landscape you asked I need some soul scent gosh but we are going to do that by trapping it in the bedrock of

An end gateways so we need to pick our location for this quite carefully because as you will of course know we have done a whole bunch of stuff with the end gateways in the central end islands that kind of means that they are earmarked for other projects I’m

Planning on turning the end into a giant spaceport at some point in future and that means we’re gonna have to look a little bit further afield for our end gateways and instead of using one of these and gateways around the outside here I’m gonna step through each of these and see

If there is an end return gateway we can use in close proximity to one of these portals obviously we have the ones that we can get back to the central island through but I think those are off-limits because I don’t want to destroy them I also don’t want to pop through to the

Other side of one of these end gateways and end up inside the farm that would kind of be a problem and so I think what we’re gonna do is look around each of these end gateways in turn and see which one has the closest return gateway that

Is out here in the outer end close to the central ring so that is within an ender pearls throw or two obviously this one here leads to the ender ender so we can’t use that this one leads to the end of parkour where the end of village is

That I have built is there another one of these portals kind of further out towards that end city there are still a couple of Enderman who are mad at me anyway let’s let’s do away with them what I’m looking for is one of those bedrock portals just kind of hanging out

In the landscape around here and they generate kind of randomly out here in the wilderness of the end but they are usually not super close to the central ring because of course that’s where the original end gateways generate that get you out here in the first place so this

Might be a little bit of a mission and I’m gonna give it a searching around off-camera to see what the best location for this is well folks I think we have a candidate and it is right here opposite this gateway I’m fairly certain this is the one that gets us to the

Central island again and that one will obviously get us back to the central island but I don’t think the central island has a teleport out to this one to that and to make sure that that is a an untouched portal which is really really close to this one I’m just gonna mark

This one with a bunch of torches so that we know that we’re going back through this one and then when I end a pearl in here I end up next to this gateways so let me just check the portals to either side and make sure that neither of those

Actually goes to the Gateway we are going to be using here because if it did we would probably have to decommission them well folks it looks like we are in luck and this portal here is actually a brand new end gateway it is untouched it is not part of the central network of

End portals and so we should be able to use that for our wither farm is gonna be really really good actually and the man if I could not take too much damage from these Enderman because I’m not wearing my helmet today whoo hitch his not ideal we can turn this portal

Here into a with a rose font because the bedrock here is actually the perfect formation for us to trap a wither inside of it but still allow the weather to be able to shoot out of it and that is going to be key to getting the wither to

Kill a bunch of mobs namely the Enderman that are spawning all around here we might need to do a little bit of clearing of the terrain or we could just set a really high afk point because the Enderman are going to end up around here and that’s where the weather is going to

Be attacking them from their little kind of turret position over here this location right here at negative 1019 negative 356 is the one we’re gonna go with so I’m gonna leave a torch here to mark that position we’ve marked it off in the ring of the end portals as well

And I am gonna go ahead and make some preparations off-camera to get the materials that we need obviously I need a bit of soul sand so we can summon a wither under there in the first place but we will need a bunch of stuff to

Make the farm as well so it’s all gonna be a fairly simple operation and it should hopefully be pretty effective I’ll be back in a couple of minutes hey folks welcome back and so we have a sugar box here filled with all of the stuff that we will need to make this

Farm or at least all of the stuff I think I need to make this farm bear in mind that this is actually a farm design that has been done a bunch of different ways and the one I am taking the most inspiration from is a design by a guy

Called race works I’m not gonna be copying what he does note-for-note but a lot of these stuff that I looked at in his video just to confirm my suspicions about how this was gonna work led to me acquiring a few really useful tips for how this farm is gonna be put together

So I will be using some of those and I will link Rey’s works his video in the description because it’s a really nice straightforward way of building a with a rose farm so the first thing we’re gonna do of course is head up into the sky to build a spawning platform for our

Enderman up here and it’s not really gonna be all that high up but the afk spot for the player needs to be a little bit higher to make sure that the Enderman can’t spawn down here on the ground and that the only place we’re going to get them spawning is in a place

Where they will be able to track to an endermite in the center of the platform and then fall down towards this spot here it doesn’t not be directly above this spot though because the weather is gonna need to shoot at them from a few blocks away

So I think we’re gonna start out maybe here what are we like eight or nine blocks away maybe ten blocks away from the overall thing we’re going to start a scaffolding tower right here and we’re gonna take this up so that we are let’s see we probably want the Enderman to be

Standing around here so that is 67 all right we need to be going up about 30 blocks from here maybe a slight bit more than that you know yeah we’ll go with 40 so we want to be at 107 up here and this is the height

From which the Enderman are going to be falling so right here we’re going to build a pretty large platform I’ve chosen blue terracotta for this obviously the material doesn’t matter I just think it’s gonna look kind of stylish up here and we want to leave a pretty decent-sized gap in the middle

Here so I’m gonna put a gap of maybe three blocks all in all and we’re actually gonna start the platform here so that the Enderman can see an endermite in the center here and track towards it but they’re going to fall down a set of trap doors once again

Using trap doors as that universal block which mobs we’ll think of as a full block even when it is open like this allowing them to fall through and actually like anything else where you’re working with Enderman you probably want to light this platform up a little bit

And we’re gonna leave an area in the center here where there is gonna be a platform for the moment just so that we can spawn an endermite on here and then get it into a minecart before we take some of these blocks away it’s gonna be

Easier to get the nmi into the minecart if you have a little bit of area around here that you can place some rails we’re not gonna do that quite yet instead we are gonna extend this platform out for a good distance in each direction let’s say we’ll give it maybe eight blocks on

Each side and you just want to create a few spawning spaces around this central platform here I’ve just gone with four separate arms so it’s in this kind of plus shape but of course you can build the platform basically any size or shape you want as long as it’s got adequate

Space to spawn some Enderman you could probably even make the central area a little bit slimmer than this if you want to I’m pretty sure Ray’s farm was a little bit slimmer than this but I thought we may as well have a decent amount of drop space for Enderman and

Speaking of that it is probably time to try and get an endermite to spawn now of course as with the ender ender farm that we have in previous episodes it’s worth noting that you will only be able to get the Enderman to aggro on an endermite that is naturally spawned from ender pearls

So if you’re trying to do this in creative even you will still need to use ender pearls to get the ender might instead of trying it with a summon command or a spawn egg or something like that there we go we got ourselves an endermite within a couple of tries now I

Just have to make sure that it doesn’t run off this platform while I get the nametag out because the nametag is gonna be important to have around so that the vendor mic does not de-spawn after a couple of minutes and I’m gonna have to make sure that the end of mic doesn’t

End up falling off of the platform which means I’m gonna close a couple of these trap doors while it follows me around and I’m gonna have to try and get myself at the minecart rails and the minecart ready to go so that we can trap this

Little thing now if we just make a quick circle in here if we make a kind of loop of track like so and hopefully we should be able to catch the end of my own oh no it just fell off the platform well that’s fine that’s fine I’ll head back

To the overworld and get another nametag and not a big deal I should also bring some carpet with me while I go there because I forgot to bring some carpet and I think carpet is probably going to be a useful thing to have to make sure

The end of mite stays in place so let me hop back through this end gateway and yeah I’ll be back when I have some carpet and another nametag I could have been a little bit more prepared for that to be honest with you but no it’s fine we’ve got ourselves another nametag

We’ve got a little bit of carpet to keep the end of mite safe and of course now we have to respawn another end of mic let’s close up these trapdoors beforehand though just to guarantee that it’s not gonna fall off of this little area and let’s see how many ender pearls

It takes us to get an endermite this time because the last time it was – oh wow it’s two again haha I’ve actually got a pretty decent streak of luck today it seems like well we can nametag this little guy let’s put him in the minecart

Like so as long as he wanders towards one of the corners of the rails here we should be able to trap him nice and easily yes there we go we have an endermite in a minecart fantastic now that’s gonna be safest if we move it into the center of this platform and

Then take all of these trapdoors out because any Enderman that spawn in this area note that we’ve got the platform’s lit up though so we don’t have to worry too much about spawning yet any Enderman that spawn in this area are going to try and attack this end of mites so we’re

Going to want to make sure he stays as safe as can be over here on top of this in fact just to make sure that he’s a little bit further out of reach of the end man I am actually gonna move this end of my up a couple of

Blocks and then drop him down onto a carpet making sure that there is no spawning space over here that the Enderman can reach the end of mites and hopefully if we yeah there we go roll him up onto that block and then we should be able to drop him down onto a

Carpet from a couple of blocks further up here okay one more push here for this end mite and we should have him into place let’s try and get him up that ramp and onto the carpet there we go okay now if we place a couple of carpets on top

Of this one he should be safe and secure in this little spot here let’s see one there and one on top of that as well there and we could of course make sure that he has a little bit of space around him that’s carpeted as well but I think

We should be good to go from now on and remember the Enderman are three blocks tall so right here this should be aligned with the Enderman so hopefully they will be able to see that the end of might is in that cart get angry at him

And rush towards him at which point they will start to fall down this giant pit that we have here and of course that will be their doom because down here we’re going to have a giant drop shaft that’s going to take them to within range of this bedrock portal here where

The wither will be trapped now there’s a couple of other things we have to do to prepare this for the wither being inside of it most notably of which we have to take out that portal block from the center there which is actually much more easily accomplished than you might

Expect all that’s going to involve is a quick trip back to the overworld to get ourselves a dispenser that we can place facing towards the portal block like so yep okay that looks like it’s facing in the right direction add a water bucket to the dispenser make

Sure you can power it with something and oh maybe if we weren’t standing on scaffolding that would be a little bit more reliable there we go BAM and we replace it with a bucket of water like that and obviously the Enderman aren’t going to be too fond of the water being

Around for a second here but that eliminates the portal block in the middle entirely replacing it with a water source and once again we can just take the bucket out of the dispenser to get rid of the water source that’s if I don’t fling it on the ground immediately anyway there we go

The portal is primed and ready to have the wither trapped inside of it over here we want to create a platform where the weather is going to be able to see and attack the Enderman and we’re going to do that around the base of the scaffolding here because

This is where the drop shaft from above is going to be centered on so I’ll build this out a couple of blocks in each direction to make sure that we can catch all of the end of an inside of here and one block below this platform are actually going to build out another

Platform of the same size and that’s going to be where a minecart with the hopper is going to be running around collecting up all of the drops now Enderman will actually drop ender pearls even if they are killed by something that is not a player and

Apelles are not a player killed drops so it is actually going to generate quite a lot of ender pearls as well we’re probably just going to trash those since I already have a pretty effective ender pearl farm elsewhere and we’re gonna set up a quick storage system at the end

Here so that the minecart can travel over the top of these three hoppers which will deposit the contents of the hopper minecart straight into these chests and hopefully we should gather a decent amount of wither roses that way I am gonna do a quick test just to make

Sure that the enemy is gonna be safe in that cart there and that the Enderman have adequate room to walk off the platform we might even be able to shrink this gap down a little bit to make sure the platform can be a little bit slimmer

But I’m gonna take the torches out will scaffold up maybe 23 blocks or so to make sure that we are out of spawnable range of this platform so that the element can spawn freely here and we should hopefully be a decent distance off the ground as well so that the

Enderman down there are going to be Dee spawning a little bit as well so once we get up to a certain height up here we should start to see Enderman spawning occasionally on this platform there are a decent amount of them spawning down below so I’m not expecting to see a huge

Amount but hopefully any we do see spawning here will just end up tracking and towards the center much like in the overworld we are gonna have to get up pretty high to make sure that we’re outside of the disponible range for the Enderman on the ground yep okay we’re

Getting packs of them spawning there and yes it looks like they are able to walk off the platform and they end up on that platform below they take a little bit of full damage as they hit the ground but I wonder if maybe we can just flood this

Island here to make sure they don’t end up teleporting elsewhere on the island it looks like a few of them are just still congregating on the surface down there yep okay that looks perfect I don’t really want to move them any closer to the end of might though

Kind of feel like that’s gonna be as good as it gets for this and of course we’re not gonna see anywhere near the spawn rates that we get with the ender ender because that’s right down at the bottom of the world we’re spawning is totally optimized but even so we are

Still getting a pretty decent spawn rate up here out of this height so that’s that’s very good news we are gonna have to afk quite close to the top of the world to really see this amount of Enderman spawning regularly but that’s good enough for me so the next step is

Really gonna be to wall off at this pad that the Enderman are going to be falling down onto with a blast-proof material and it does need to be blast proof so that the wither is going to be able to shoot at the Enderman and not destroy the platform which is why I’m

Making this out of stone brick right here we’re also I mean the Terracotta should also be fine we could use any number of materials and in fact n stone is very blast resistant which is going to be in plentiful supply around here so you could always do that if you run out

Of blocks but once this wall around here is four blocks tall we can start to turn this into a tube that connects to the bottom of the platform there and that’s gonna make sure that the Enderman all fall down into this area where the wither is gonna be able to see them and

Blast them with a single shot should take care of them nice and easily because with this amount of full damage they are probably within a single punch of health so that’s why I brought a ton of stained glass with me I expect I’ll probably need to bring a bunch more of

That back as well we can mix in a few other materials here and there if we want to but I think yeah we will probably need a little bit more than I brought with me at this point okay folks I think we are just about ready to go

Here with the tower it is all built up I’m trying my best not to look at the end Minh so I can show you the end result because this right here has been maybe like I know 20-30 minutes work it’s not been that much I did have to go

Back to the overworld and get a few more supplies but now that part is over and we can get on with the riskiest part of this whole deal and that is summoning a wither inside this bedrock portal which shouldn’t be too difficult I just need

To make sure a couple of things are in place and of course if the way there ends up getting out then it could end up undoing so much of the work I have just done to get this whole thing set up so we’re gonna have to make sure we do this

Right first time now the thing I’m gonna do is pillar up here and place the sole sin now we want the sole sin to be in a very specific formation underneath here the tail of the sole santhi the bottom part of the t-shape needs to be directly underneath this

Central block of bedrock right because then we’re going to be putting the front part of it here like so and the weather actually generates there so it’s going to generate basically right underneath that bit of bedrock that’s not the only thing we need to do though because we

Need to place a cobblestone wall there and for good measure I’m actually going to put the rest of those cobblestone walls in there as well that is going to allow the wither to end up spawning in the bedrock but it won’t get suffocated in those blocks because we’re putting it

On a cobblestone wall and while the block space of that is only one block it’s actually got another half block above that like imagine standing on a cobblestone wall right you go up half a block as though you’re standing on a slab on top of that and

That is what is going to allow the withers head to peak out of that central section of the bedrock in there and it’s not gonna suffocate and it’s gonna be able to see anything that ends up in this space over here that is gonna be the Enderman

That have come down from this central platform and landed in the middle of the tank here so now comes the really nerve-wracking part and this is the bit where we have to place the three wither skulls hopefully fingers crossed this should all go according to plan and the

Wither should spawn directly in the center of that bedrock end gateway it’s gonna charge up it’s gonna explode which should not take out the cobblestone walls underneath it there and hopefully we should be good to go as of this moment yes fantastic okay the wither is stuck inside there

You’ll notice it’s not taking suffocation damage and it is able to fireball some of the Enderman around it but the Enderman aren’t going to be able to attack it at all while it is up there it is basically impervious to harm and it is actually destroying a few blocks

In my my tunnel there it looks like it has been able to destroy a few of the blocks here though so we are gonna have to do a little bit of emergency repair but already it is generating some wither roses now let me quickly turn down the mob

Here oh and I just got hit I just got with it okay so the weather is paying a little bit of attention to where I am which is a concern and I’m thinking if this continues to be a problem if the weather continues to deal damage to this

Platform here we are gonna have to replace it with some slightly more robust materials we might have to use some obsidian for this bottom part here after all because I thought these were going to be blast resistant enough to take care of this problem apparently they may not be after all so hopefully

While the weather ends up destroying some of the stuff around here we can make our repairs and start the minecart going along the track okay I’m gonna try my best to start the farm going I’m gonna set our hopper minecart going there and I’m going to fly up to the top

Of this scaffolding platform and I’ve got my camera account logged in so I can observe the farm in action now the weather has destroyed a pretty decent chunk of the front of the farm and I guess that’s on me for trying to make this farm pretty and oh okay we are

Getting a few Enderman of course spawning on that platform and it looks like the weather destroyed the block that the hopper minecart was supposed to be resting on alright time to make a couple of quick adjustments here I’m gonna do my best to pillar up here get

That minecart pushed off again and put some end stone at the front here which should hopefully have a little bit more blast resistance but look at that we have in total including the one I just picked up from the ground 9 where the roses already and that’s 10 and some

Ender pearls going in there as well along with a little bit of terracotta that I think it has now just smashed out of the platform right I’m gonna try and dodge the wither make sure it’s not targeting me and hopefully we should be able to come back with some more robust

Materials to take care of the rest of this farm and make sure it is safe from the withers more explosive properties the last thing I want to do of course is to drop a torch in the center here so that we don’t get any more Enderman spawning there okay and hopefully I

Should be able to get into the air before the weather takes out any of my minecart stuff the minecart is really the most fragile thing in this whole setup so we will of course have to be a little bit careful about that but now we

Can get up here to the top of the world so the Enderman at ground level will despawn instantly and it looks like this farm should be doing its job right about now what we need to worry a little bit about the Enderman who are able to spawn or drop

Onto this section of end stone down here but by the looks of things yes we’re getting some Enderman around it oh it’s taking the torches out as well oh okay well maybe you’ll need to place some light sources further up where the wither can’t necessarily reach them the

Good news is the end of might still seems to be doing alright the end of might is still very much alive and if I swoop in here and if I can get a few torches up on these wood blocks and yep I’m getting myself with it so I need to

Drop out of here pretty fast hopefully having some torches around there should limit the amount of Enderman spawns and I am now very much out of fireworks but if we stand up here for a little while longer hopefully we should start to see the farm kick into gear a little bit

From up here I can definitely see some Enderman dropping down onto the platform and at ground level yes we are seeing the wither taking out some of the Enderman they are teleporting around just a little bit but I think they’re all gonna try and teleport back to that

Central platform and at the very least we are going to be getting a few wither roses out of this deal which is precisely what we want the wither is taking out the Enderman after a couple of shots so maybe we could even have made the drop a little bit higher but

Let’s take a look in spectator mode at this chest here and Wow okay we already have 27 where the Roses so perhaps with a couple of changes to the materials around the bottom of the farm here to better blast-proof it and a little bit more protection from the wither itself

We are gonna have a pretty solid with a rose farm on our hands with a couple of hours AFK time we could be looking at stacks upon stacks of wither roses I think I’m already looking at more with the Roses than I’ve ever seen in one

Place in this game and that’s a very very good thing ignore the inventory here by the way my spectator account seems to have the same inventory as my main account so I think that’s just because I’m logging in from the same single-player world yet the Enderman are really piling up now it

Looks like we’re getting a few of them from the platform falling down and they’re congregating in the center here faster than the wither can take them out which is a good position for them to be in really because that ultimately means that the farm is going to keep ticking

Over and keep producing wither rows we’re almost at a stack already that is looking spectacular I’m very very happy with the progress on this and yeah the Enderman are kind of wandering out of this box occasionally which is not what I want because the wither will target them outside and that could potentially

Destroy the minecart if it happens to be within the explosion radius but you know what I think we can give this a bit of an obsidian makeover and then hopefully after that should not be a problem whatsoever and the best thing about this is the end of might is still totally

Fine up there in the minecart too which is great it’s good to know that that’s nice and safe and secure and this farm is gonna produce a whole bunch of where the roses that we can use for a whole bunch of other farms in future so I’m

Really looking forward to that but folks from up here on top over this tower where I have just finished getting the wither effect taking care of and I am down to my last piece of food I will definitely need to go and grab some more fireworks and some more food if I want
