Hello everybody welcome back to my channel my name is jd and today we’re doing another easy minecraft tutorial this time we’re going to be looking at how to find and obtain basalt as well as how to make it and how to craft it so we have a lot to show you So first of all you need to find basalt in the nether and luckily we’re in a basalt delta which is where it generates naturally i’m standing right on it so this is basalt right here and this is the the top side as you can see But if you want to see this the side there it is that’s how it looks there are a couple other locations you can find this so let’s take a look another place where you can find basalt naturally generating is in the soul sand valley you’ll notice basalt columns here This one is pretty narrow but they go all the way up to the roof and this is basically like that but it’s been solidified so it used to be lava but not anymore which kind of brings me to another point you can make this and i’ll show you that in a bit the Final place you can find basalt naturally generating is inside a bastion remnant as you can see we’ve got some right here but you can also find in some places naturally occurring polished basalt but i don’t see any in this area but there could be elsewhere all i see is just regular basalt here Well let’s return to the overworld and i’ll show you how to make polish basalt as well as basalt let’s say we’ve mined up a bunch of basalt now to make polish basalt there are two ways you can put them in a square like this and get your Polish basalt but you can also use the stone cutter just place it in there and there it is got your polished basalt that’s pretty easy but if you want to make basalt yourself you can you can actually get an infinite supply of basalt so let’s show you how to make up a salt Generator all right this is very simple i just got some polish diorite you can use any material you want actually and we’re just going to make a space here for some lava so there we go now what you need down here is some soul soil haspy soul soil And then blue ice uh it doesn’t really matter where you put this but um some people put it here some people put it above but i’ll show that it works either way so let’s put this in here and here it comes and there’s basalt right there and you just keep breaking it And it keeps forming again so if we do this thing you get basalt again so it doesn’t matter if it’s above or below how about if you put it right here same thing so as you can see it doesn’t matter where you put it as long as it’s on an adjacent block Basalt is purely cosmetic it’s just for looks it doesn’t really have any function other than for building so you can however make it directional so that’s going up i can also make it go sideways it’s the same with polished basalt as well so that goes up we can also make it go Sideways so as you see it can be very useful that’s uh one thing that i like is that this could be used as like a darker version of cobblestone or it could be mixed with cobblestone and it looks great and there we go this is basalt it’s uh it’s one of the nice New blocks in the game i really like it i i like how it looks it’s definitely different it’s a darker gray color than what we’re used to seeing in things like cobblestone stone and andesite it creates a lot of variety those are great for columns uh the uh polished basalt Definitely great for columns and this is great for many different uses so let me know how you like to use basalt in the comment section below if you liked the video then please give it a thumbs up and if you’re interested in seeing more easy minecraft tutorials then please consider subscribing We’ll see you next time bye bye you Video Information
