LDShadowLady – Distraction Manor | Minecraft Base Invaders Challenge

I am definitely feeling a bit sick now from looking at that floor hey guys what’s up ld shyly here and welcome to a brand new game mode that we have created called bass invaders so today’s participants in the bass invaders challenge are me lb shadow lady joel aka smallish beans scott aka dang

That’s a long name and cpk so the aim of bass invaders is to build a base to protect your very own skulls and we will take it in turns to all invade it and try and retrieve the skull that they have hidden within so you can set death traps secret passageways hidden

Entrances whatever you like to slow down the intruders but the only rule is that the skull must be able to be reached by the intruders without them having to break any blocks so you can’t just bury it behind or under some blocks to hide it each of us

Has a 24×24 space as you can see marked out behind us and you can build whatever you like go crazy right let’s go everybody to the plots this one is mine so for this base i have decided to go for a haunted mansion theme so i’m creating a creepy exterior

To give those haunted vibes it’s going to be pretty dark and dingy on the inside so there aren’t really any windows so whatever’s inside is a true mystery until you step in so as you can see we already have a pretty spooky looking haunted mansion which will hopefully

Distract our visitors and maybe even scare them away probably not but hopefully we can build enough traps and distractions to keep them away from my precious head which i’m going to store on my very own head for now so i have a pretty big head right now

So let’s start by adding another flower to the mansion so now we’ve got the floors in place we can start adding the traps so first of all i’m going to lead them into a spooky corridor that is just going to snake around the bottom floor so they’ll come in through the entrance

Follow the corridor along and it will just snake around and be a dead end now what they don’t know is that it’s actually not a dead end i’m gonna put a secret doorway here covered by a painting that will allow them to pass through to the next area of the house

So the first thing we need to do is put a painting there now it looks a little bit suspicious on its own so we should probably put some other ones with it maybe some matching ones so it looks like creepy portraits oh spooky okay there we go so you can’t actually

Get through any of the others except for this one as we know but i’m hoping that they won’t know to do that immediately so this will at least waste some time now i’m also going to set up a few decoy paintings around to make it look like this whole place is

Just a hallway covered in paintings nothing unusual about it whatsoever now at the end here i’m going to put a sign that just says dead end so by the time they’ve got to the end here they’ve probably figured out that you actually have to jump through one of the paintings

But there’s a reason that i’m nicknaming this place distraction manner and that is because we’re going to distract them with levers and buttons so i’m just going to place these randomly around and they will probably think that they have to click one of these but really they’re just a ruse

To confuse so that should waste even more of their time before they manage to figure out that they’re supposed to go through the painting so when they actually come through the painting i’m going to put a little sign here to congratulate them for being smart but really we’ve only just begun and

They’re going to have to be a lot smarter than that to find my skull what is worse than searching through a million paintings and buttons and levers to figure out where to go next the answer is lava parkour so that’s what we’re doing i’m placing the

Blocks down where they will have to jump and then we’re going to fill this place with lava so we will end the lava parkour here at the molten scalding hot lava nice it looks so beautiful now you might have noticed that i’ve actually put a staircase in here

And it looks super obvious but it will not be do not worry i’m going to conceal this entrance but they are trying to get up here so let’s close this off for now so for this section my next trick on my visitors is the door puzzle

Now what we need is a thin corridor like this that goes all the way down to the end and it needs to be two blocks high so let’s fill that in now i’m going to use a spruce doors for this and you’ll see why very soon so the

Point is that they have to try and jump in here and seemingly pass through the corridor seems pretty simple right except there is nothing here when they get to the end oh my gosh a fire anyway as i was saying it’s a dead end so what now you ask

Once they are on the other side of this door if they actually look behind the door they will see an exit however i’m guessing that they will be too busy trying to progress forwards to even look and that is why this is called distraction mana my friends

I’m even going to put a painting at the end here so they’ll probably start trying to jump through it like lunatics so they’re actually supposed to go through here i’m gonna put another door there just to make it even secreter and once they go through here they’ll be

Able to press a button at the end here that opens the staircase so i’m going to put the button here but i’m going to put a sign that says do not click and we’ll see if that slows them down a bit maybe they’ll just click it straight away or maybe that will make

Them hesitate so all we need to do is wire up that button to the staircase pistons and then we will proceed upstairs okay so i’ve actually replaced it with an iron door because i am too lazy to do pistons but it still works the same way so

This will open and close the doors we will leave it closed for now so this is what they will see so they’ll know that that’s where they need to go but they won’t be able to open it i’m just going to get rid of this door

For now so i’m going to put in a red carpet for them because if they made it this far they deserve a shiny red carpet to walk on this red carpet is for you you deserve it you go girl if you manage to defeat distraction manner you can have all the red carpets

You want so now we have all this space to work with for the next puzzle now what do you see before me is the basis of the next puzzle so at the moment it’s just a bunch of levers and then a door at the end now obviously there is a combination for

These levers if you put them in the right order you will manage to open the door and get whatever is in the chest inside which will be used for the next stage and i have marked out the correct answers in case i forget so all of the levers have to be up

Except for these ones which have to be down and that will open the door in case you’re curious back here is quite a simple mechanism to what is actually quite a complicated puzzle if you have no idea which levers to press then it would be really difficult to do this

So we’re gonna have to give our little guests a bit of a clue so above each of the levers i am going to put an item frame and this is part of the clue so i’m gonna set it up first and then you guys can see if you can figure out

What the difference is between all the items so i’m gonna put lapis flint an egg a flower an ender pearl a mushroom dirt and a jungle sapling and then in these two item frames i’m going to put a door and a minecart and i’m also going to put a sign here

That says two of these things are not like the others so they will have a bit of a clue that there are two odd ones out now if you haven’t figured it out yet it is of course that the minecart and the door can be crafted but all the other blocks cannot

Now i really wonder whether they’ll be able to figure this out or if they are going to get stuck here i’m hoping that they will try a few different things first so maybe they will try the ender pearl and the egg thinking that their mob drops the other odd ones out

So if they manage to get it right they will unlock the secret to the next stage and in here is going to be a diamond hoe of course what else would be in the precious chest that they probably just spent five minutes trying to get into

So for the next phase of the puzzle they are going to require this hoe because they will need it to get through this door which i am going to close off okay so the way this works is that when they hoe the land a little slither will appear that they can see

Through and all they have to do is click the lever which is hidden on the other side and they will be allowed through so i think by the time they’ve made it this far they’re pretty much almost running out of time so they’re gonna be panicking so i think this

Is where i will set up my master plan i call it the head room so first of all my goal is to make this room look as ugly as possible so it kind of distracts their eyes away from all the heads oh it’s so gross okay i think that is

Mission accomplished i am definitely feeling a bit sick now from looking at that floor so for this room i’m just gonna grab a bunch of random heads to decorate with and then i’m just gonna start littering the walls with heads everywhere by the end of this they’re gonna forget

What my head even looks like i think the more pink ones i use the more they look like my head so they might get really confused i suppose i should actually put my own head in here somewhere first before we fill all the space what if i put it up here like that

Oh that’s sneaky it’s backwards nobody will ever see it okay i think it’s pretty well hidden now and i will be really impressed if anyone manages to find it so the final touch i’m gonna add on to the mammoth just to make things really annoying is some cobwebs at the entrance

That will slow down their entry so they’ll have a 10 second delay before they can get through so now i guess it’s time for me to try and invade everyone else’s base don’t forget if you want to see everyone else try to defeat distraction mana make sure to go check out their channels

It’s great not what i expected honestly wow All right next one okay three two one i can see myself living here yeah i’m so impressed right let’s start invading these bases so first of all i am taking on scott space start the timer let’s go in only rule is you can’t reuse levers or buttons okay

Hmm maybe i should check outside first no i’m just going straight in i’ve been poisoned or have i i’ve been given slowness okay it doesn’t seem to be affecting me too badly so that’s not the end of the world oh no there’s a lot of parkour up there what’s through this door

Oh what i’m just gonna check everywhere to make sure he’s not being sneaky and hiding is what why are there dispensers here what first clue oh my gosh i’m so glad i checked in here is there anything down there no okay let’s read this omg i didn’t

Actually think anyone would look in here good thing i didn’t put the head here phew okay okay so that seems like a waste of time let’s see there’s no head here let’s see what’s through here is this a maze oh my goodness maybe i should do it just in case

Except i hope i don’t get stuck in here nope this seems like a dead end i feel like he’s done the same thing as i did and just trying to distract people and it’s working it is definitely working on me i think i’ve been distracted okay i

Think we have to take on the parkour which is unfortunate because i have slowness so that could make it slightly difficult oh these are invisible blocks where am i supposed to jump to oh wait there’s a door there i didn’t even see that oh a pink room and a ladder

Where the heck is this head it’s in here somewhere it’s not in here though on the other side of there yes it is there’s a secret door i knew it oh leave it okay i found a lever where do i put it though how am i supposed to know where to put

It oh my goodness i’m getting trapped in his door system what the heck where do i go now okay let’s try down here maybe we should continue upwards do you think i should jump on there oh no oh why do i suck up parkour this is so upsetting hopefully i can

Make this jump i cannot i cannot make this jump i am so sad oh this is it this is it okay oh yes okay now i need to get up there somehow oh no how am i meant to get up there i’ll jump on here ow

What i can’t get up there where do i go can i jump on there no i’m so confused where am i meant to go i found my doors but i don’t know where any of them go i feel like this is a waste of time there’s another lever in here

What does that say i feel like that says something but i don’t know what it says i don’t think i’m gonna leave here with scott’s head i think his house has well and truly defeated me wait there’s an iron door here am i meant to open this

Where does this go where am i oh no i’m trapped i’m trapped okay i’m out i’m out oh gosh oh lol you thought there’s nothing here i’ve been tricked again now i know what it feels like oh and i’m stuck in here look at this stupid door trap forever

I’m never gonna make it out nope oh what about down here i don’t know if i’ve been down here before oh yes i have that’s where i came from wait did i go through here oh my gosh i didn’t i can’t believe it what’s that what just flew out a cookie

Okay let’s just keep pressing it maybe the head will come out it won’t how about up here there isn’t anything up here oh no i’m out of time okay so scott’s stupid base defeated me hopefully i can do better on the next one so next i am taking on the giant chest

That is cpk so let’s start the timer and enter right what is going on here okay maybe i should check in all the chests first just to be sure okay i don’t see anything is there anything hidden down here maybe no why is that there though maybe it is

Hidden in there okay definitely not in any of the chests let’s try what does this do is it a complete distraction does it do anything at all i don’t think so right let’s try jumping on here get a good look around okay i don’t see anything that looks like a head right now

So we’ll advance up here maybe these buttons do something no okay why is he even built a giant tv screen this doesn’t make any sense okay i’m just gonna try press all the buttons nothing’s really happening though okay i feel like i’ve got almost to the top

And i haven’t found anything yet so now i’m really worried oh wait okay okay can’t possibly be in one of these chests he wouldn’t make it so simple or would he now don’t forget his head is orange so it could be quite well hidden okay i don’t see

Where it could be okay i’m starting to think that it’s maybe not up here it’s got to be down here somewhere okay where the heck is it where are you hiding this oh wait is there a chest down there no okay maybe on the other side

Oh there’s a a lever there but what does the lever do that must do something it can’t just be a dirty trick okay i have looked everywhere wait there’s a chest right there oh it’s not in there i thought that was really smart so where the heck is it then

I’m nearly out of time and i’ve got no idea okay i’m gonna check the outside just to check there’s nothing crazy maybe it was just in place oh my gosh no oh no that’s nothing i thought it was just in a hole okay i definitely cannot

Find it nope i am well and truly stumped i have no idea is it this button nope i’ve pressed everything i’ve looked everywhere and i just don’t know where to find it is there anything any anything any stone left unturned i don’t think so i feel like i’ve searched everywhere

Where could it be ah i’m gonna run out of time okay i have looked everywhere oh i’m half time ah okay defeated again i didn’t manage to find cpk’s skull either i wonder where it is so this is my last chance to redeem myself i have to find joel’s head in here

Somehow but i have a feeling i’m not going to so let’s start the timer and start the torture going in okay there’s already a maze i already hate myself oh my gosh it’s going to take me so long just to get even through here oh oh hang on an iron door okay

That’s the dead end but possibly coming back to there later quick quick quick go freaking faster oh my gosh how do i even know what i’m looking for what if the head is here somewhere what if i never make it out of the maze

A chest okay i found the lever now all i need to do is find that door again which could be a problem because i’ve forgotten where it was i think it was this way oh my gosh where even am i okay i think i’m going this way

Okay this is it this is it here’s the door i found it okay right let’s get up the ladder trying to waste too much time okay there are some doors not that tricky i’m sure i can make it i just don’t know where i’m trying to go

Okay i found a room surely this surely surely not no i don’t even want no i’m not dealing with that today let’s see if there’s another way around dang it that looks like the only way so it looks like we are doing that so hopefully it doesn’t set me back

Okay thank goodness it didn’t set me back to the very start so one of these works i just don’t know which one i’m just gonna try them all okay none of them are freaking working oh gosh oh my gosh okay so trying the second one the third one

The fourth one let’s try seven okay so this seventh the seventh one along and then we’ll try the first one nope okay so dang it which one was the seventh not that one this one one two three four five six seven okay this no okay i’ve

That one okay let’s try the second one okay the head has got to be over there somewhere but i just can’t get to it what if i just like nope okay i had to try i just want to end this to be honest i don’t even care about

Finding the skull now okay let’s try this one oh okay so it’s the this one and then this one try this one nope not that one okay i’m getting closer let’s try this one over here nope this is so bot this is literally so boring okay i’m still really freaking far away
