Mind-Blowing Minecraft 1.18 Coop Build!

Hey guys welcome back to another episode of hardcore minecraft with me the beef in today’s episode we are going to start with the chicken coop now i’ve been thinking about this a lot and i want to make i want to make a really realistic chicken coop i’ve also gotta

Like murder all those chickens wait i think i did murder all those chickens i’m hoping that i can get some more chickens to spawn um there’s a sign for the chicken coop by the way this is where we’re gonna build it that’s why i’m taking this down

I’m hoping we can get more chickens to spawn from the limited amount of eggs that i have i don’t have a whole lot of eggs so i’m a little bit worried i guess we can get rid of this now because we know it’s going to be right there i’ve got to gather some

Materials first i want to make a realistic looking chicken coop and most chicken coops are red okay however i’m going to be using mostly walls i think to make it nice and small i find if you use full blocks it kind of looks it kind of looks silly to be

Honest and i don’t want it to look silly so i think what i’m gonna do is i’m gonna use is it getting dark already yes it is i’m gonna use some first of all it’s gonna be lifted off the ground listen i live on a farm

Okay it’s not really a farm it’s a hobby farm really um but i’ve i’ve looked i have a chicken coop i literally have a chicken coop outside my house so i’m gonna try to model it off that now ours isn’t really lifted off the ground as

Much which it should be because it does provide the chickens with like warmth and stuff in the wintertime maybe i’ll move it a little bit further back let’s do that so we’re going to lift it off the ground um yeah ours isn’t lifted off the ground as much there’s a little bit

Of height to it but oh wow that just grew right now but i’m gonna try to design it as if it were because it should be really it provides warmth it provides a place for the chickens to hide and scratch and all that wonderful stuff i’m like half inside these blocks ain’t i

Sure am uh what i want to do though is i want to use walls but i want to use i guess we could use stone brick walls we could use oh yeah we could use um what are they called bricks like clay bricks because those you can make walls out of

Those can you make walls out of another brick actually do i have any other brick right now here let’s let’s test that theory this is gonna probably take a lot longer than necessary we don’t need a lot of these blocks but it would be nice to test to

See if this actually works for future reference i don’t know if you can make walls out of nether brick i don’t i’ve never i’ve never really looked into it confirmed you can make nether brick walls of course you can i knew that too as soon as i saw them i’m like of course

You can make nether brick walls what is wrong with me anyway the little chicken coop is gonna be three by three we don’t have the walls ready yet but let’s do the perimeter fencing shall we so we’re gonna do a little bit of a i don’t want

Them to i want it to be functional as well i don’t want them to jump out i’m going to need a lot more than these um so we want to have a decent size and i want to have room to like decorate and stuff speaking of decorating guys guys

This is amazing right here uh let’s do the water because this is going to be a little bit more narrow on this side so maybe we’ll put a couple hay bales here i think that’ll be kind of cool uh we’ll have the entrance going into

There um what else do we have going on here i guess maybe we can do the water around here the water and the food around this general area of course the water is a well-known thing but the food guys the food i’m not gonna have enough to bring it all the way up

Wait i could put poppies in there i have tons of poppies look at that boom that’s the chicken feed huh although chicken feet are supposed to just sprinkle it along the ground and stuff and then they scratch and claw things chickens are amazing little animals i love chickens we don’t have

Any yet but we’re gonna we’re gonna have some soon um we’re just waiting for better weather to come along how much of this do i have now is it enough to make like nine walls probably not how much do you get out of that’s six actually that’s not bad

A little bit more waiting and we’ll be done in no time i gotta choose a roof actually a roof color that would go good with this color let’s see where are my stairs orange might look really good orange fence around too might look really good hmm let’s see how this looks together

As a roof that’s pretty wild i think that’s a little bit too out of it i don’t think i want to do that it’s too wild for a chicken roof we could just use this so that it matches the fence and i think that’ll be a nice little mixture that might be too

Ah it could be okay it could be okay another thing we’re gonna need actually do i have silk touch on my shovel i don’t um we’re gonna need some of that stuff right there because chickens they tend to pretty much eliminate all grass underneath them so we’re gonna have to diamond

Uh silk touch not diamond we’re gonna have to silk touch get that out of my screen some of this stuff to put it all along the bottom and we’re gonna miss that mix that with coarse dirt as well i’ve already started doing that little section over there of dirt of course the

Coop has no rear okay so the coop is pointing towards the house and the back of the fence is attached to the coop i need an entrance gate so i’m thinking the entrance gate can go here that’s not the direction i want it to face uh here here there we go and we’ll

Do that like so maybe we’ll bring is that too even if i do it like that it is very even i don’t want it to be even so let’s leave it off centered let me continue to work on the ground here so i’m i’m also mixing in

Some path blocks because i think that’ll be a nice little addition to the coarse dirt and the um whatever this is called puzzle the leader of the puzzle party doesn’t know what baudel is called unbelievable am i right let’s do one of these guys dang it ah gotta do that again like this

Looking pretty good looking pretty good now let’s start building the walls do i like this color for the coop i think it should be a slightly slightly slighter red a slightly slighter red that’s right you heard me correctly but it’s not terrible now hold on how am i that’s not

That’s not where i want to put it i think i want to actually put it down here okay that’s kind of weird maybe we’ll make the bottom out of trapdoors because then it’ll look do i have a trapdoor on me for exa to like look at it and no i don’t all right

Well i’ll have to go get some but i think if we make the bottom out of trapdoors which i guess spruce trap doors would be would make the most sense because they’re not see-through or dark oak actually dark oak will like make a lot of sense it’ll

Kind of match the bottom uh stilts there there we go not ideal because there’s like gaps in the in the corner there but that’s not much we can do if we’re using uh partial blocks here so we also need a ramp so the chickens get up into their coop

Generally uh there’s like a uh yeah a ramp and this is obviously not a ramp but it’s the closest we have to a ramp in this game okay now ventilation we need ventilation for our chicken coop so we’re gonna leave some windows in i’m thinking probably just like

Do something like that maybe we could put the back wall in it and leave it maybe we should just let’s see no i think we’ll take the back wall out we’ll just have it wide open in the top we could put trap doors facing this way

But they won’t attach i don’t think here we can test it with this one yeah oh no that’ll be weird because it’s not in the middle and these are in the middle of a block okay so let’s just leave it wide open like that um we could put iron there we could put

Fence i don’t think this will attach either oh but that looks good actually i kind of like that that’s good okay good good that was a happy accident now we just need to put a roof on it and then do a little bit more decoration oh that’s gonna be nice how about

Gates gates might work better gates might work better yes gates do look way better but i also went with darker gates to match the darker stilts at the bottom like the chicken coop stilts and now we’re finally putting a roof on this bad boy now this side should probably not look

That should be fine like this and then we’ll do slabs on top do i have slabs on me i know i do there we go let’s see how this looks now that is a cute chicken coop if i feel like it should be a little bit more

Um covered at the front but it’s not bad it’s not terrible i do want to put one of these guys here somewhere like like somewhere like right there i think that’ll be kind of cool i also wanted to do a little so i saw a trick a while back i can’t give credit

To anybody because i don’t remember who i saw it from but it was something it wasn’t something like this specifically but it was basically a um it looks like a nest like a chicken like a chicken nest like a roosting nest thing using dead coral i don’t have any dead

Coral but when i get the dead coral i think i’m gonna put some down here and then like one up there or maybe the opposite actually let me think here i’ll probably do i’ll probably do this one under no i’ll do this one on top and this one

Underneath so that means this has got to go up one so we’ll do this and we’ll do this so we can fit like a little typically they roost inside of their chicken coops but i think that’ll be a nice little addition to the exterior we’ll have and you you can put an actual

Egg in it because you can put like an item frame and the coral the dead coral fan thing on the same block so i think that’ll be kind of cool now is that going to turn into grass i doubt it i doubt it we should be okay

We’re not gonna see much of it anyway afterwards but for now let’s leave it like that looks pretty good guys i like it our little chicken coop oh man that’s adorable here let’s put one of these little guys right outside like right here just for a little lighting at night

We’ll also not stop there we have to kind of do a little bit of not terraforming but a little bit of uh of of some stuff out here because you know it’s not all confined to a nice neat area it’s it’s you know it’s it’s uh it’s been run down these chickens sometimes

Sometimes they get out and they do terrible things they do terrible things uh okay so let’s put another one back here maybe we’ll have a couple of these guys there and then maybe another one here and another one there it’s all about the details guys all about the details and on this side

Probably just have two more blocks we’ll put one there one there and then we’ll do that our chicken coop is looking fantastic are they able to escape in any capacity i don’t think so i think we’re okay to start chucking eggs in there i’m hoping i have enough chickens at least

Two right and then i can breathe them i’m gonna put another hay bale here at the back but i want it kind of face oh it’s not gonna be the back it’s gonna be like oh that’s good that’s fine yeah i wanted it facing that way so they can

Come up here and they can eventually with their tiny bodies get up on this oh maybe they they might not be able to get up there with their tiny little bodies because of this block here maybe they might they they probably can they’re only one high right should be

Should be fine we only have 11 eggs by the way one two three four five six seven okay we got one we got one eight nine yes oh baby no bonus chickens though but that’s pretty good how are you guys doing do you guys like your new little area

You were just born you really have nothing to compare it to so you better like it i love this little chicken coop oh my gosh i’m kind of i’m kind of really proud of it oh i’m i’m really proud of this thing uh that’s thought i really like it okay

I wish i had or i wish i knew of a um a warm ocean biome to go and get those those dead coral leaf things so that we could make it really look just take it up to the next level oh i kind of want to go i kind of want to go

See if i can find one now really oh man not these guys again uh um i think i have to take them out there well maybe not maybe not they’re kind of minding their own business uh i think what i need to do is go bone meal a bunch more sunflowers because i

Really want to expand that sunflower field biome that i have i did pick up a bunch of did i not pick up a bunch of bone blocks wait ah here they are for a second there i couldn’t find them boom look at all that we’re gonna have a bunch of sunflowers

Hi chickens how you doing i haven’t checked on you in a while um there’s something about this roof that is really bothering me and i think it’s when i look at it from a distance i feel like it’s too light i think we’re going to go with the dark oak instead

I know not a huge difference but oh that’s wow that is some how did i even manage to do that that is beautiful uh now you’re out there huh gotcha oh chicken don’t get any ideas don’t learn from what i’m doing right now i think i

Need like two more dark oak steps anyway so let me get those real quick and then finish that i think that looks a lot better from a distance i kept seeing like the the spruce was kind of blending into the background yeah like it feels it’s too

Close to the color of the dirt back here and so it looked like the house didn’t have a roof and i don’t want to use the same material as like i don’t want to use nether brick or nether yeah nether brick whatever it’s called i don’t want to use

That because it’s too similar i like a different colored roof like everybody else hey i like a different colored roof you know what i’m saying so we’re gonna change that up and i’m sure i’m gonna feel a lot better about it afterwards much better much better at least now it all matches

The with the the fence post down here and the gates there and then the roof okay at least now doesn’t look like it blends into this i hate the color of nether brick by the way so purple and stuff but there’s no real reddish wall

Color other than the brick i guess but i think the brick would look well it would look too much like brick and there are no there are no chicken coops i know of that are actually made of bricks i know technically that’s a brick but at

Least it looks more like wood panels and stuff in siding but bricks actually look like brick i think i gotta start marking off the walls here i want my farm to have um walls is that oh it doesn’t connect come on it’s okay it’s okay we can use fence

Gates and i know they’ll connect all right so we’ll do something like this we don’t want it to look all even and stuff there’s no there’s no point in uh in making like this hot proof because we don’t have any animals here it’s literally just you

Know um just making it look a little bit cooler oh you know what when i put in one of these ah that’s okay that should be fine we wanted to just border our actually let me let me see here that’s actually a decent size or is it too wide i think it’s too

Wide we got to like plant way more wheat on this side and maybe make the we’ll make like the i wonder if we can do something like this it’s gonna be tough with the transitions though yeah it’s gonna be real tough i’m surprised i’m really surprised this isn’t a thing why

Why can’t that be attached anyway yeah i think i gotta like move the fence away from here because we don’t want such a wide pathway up to the ranch i think the ranch house i should say because this whole thing is technically a wrench so i think what we need to do

Is have it around there and then around here yeah and then fill in the rest with um with wheat this is going to be a little bit of a terraforming terraforming project let me go get some some dirt because i’ll need it and i’m going to need a ton more fence

Guess who’s all grown up start making little chicks i see you little chick look at you ah path is coming along nicely i should say the wall i do kind of like having these every so often it’s like the fence has been repaired and stuff so uh those are

Not bad then here’s the gate where i’m gonna have a little path to go over to the sunflower fields biome so biome the sunflower fields area so i’m gonna go ahead and pick up all these we’re gonna go and dig this up to give us a little bit more room here

And then we’re gonna make a path oh i can’t make paths ah these will all turn these will all turn into like regular grass blocks in no time um i’m wondering if i should put fence or walls though along here or just have a path through i

Feel like i need to put walls right if you were a farmer wouldn’t you want walls and stuff like something like this just a short little narrow walkway over to the new crop oh that that’s that was a mistake but that i’ll take that i kind of like it

I think we need to maybe do a little terraforming just a tad right in this corner i feel like i’ve slept a hundred times already okay for some reason i thought it was getting dark okay i thought that was gonna damage something that will damage but that’s okay

Uh so like i don’t like this anymore how about over here it was kind of like in the way all right that’s not bad but i think we have to widen it immediately like right here okay then we’ll do um just a little oh you know what maybe we should do like a

Just something like that just to have a little bit of detail from the outside afterwards this is looking good this is looking good maybe a couple little fences around the same area maybe this was an old wood i thought i just saw a scarecrow right there but it’s that that was really

Weird and wild um yeah so maybe this was an old uh fence before and now it’s not anymore maybe we’ll have a little gap in the fence here that could be cool too just like that a little bit of a little bit of dirt seeking or peeking through not seeking through peeking through

That’s a little too wide so we’ll just do that like so same thing with that one that might look really cool actually from down there a little too even but it might look really cool so and then yeah we’ll start the uh the transition for the wheat field over here right

I think it’s plenty wide enough i think i just need it longer so it’s got to like come way down here but i think this is a nice little nice little start and of course the path blocks all over here including i will also have some uh some coarse dirt in

This area as well i can’t path block underneath huh interesting uh coarse dirt it is i’m gonna need a lot of it better better i also think i’m gonna fill some of these spots with oak slabs and i think that’ll add to the uh the textured walkway here this walkway is

Looking real nice maybe a couple of oak slabs through here as well and then of course our sunflower farm oh boy if only you can get sunflower seeds from the sunflower farm that’d be kind of cool a little food source mojang mojang there we go very rustic

Very beat down path i am not sure about that yet well by not sure i mean i don’t like it so i’m gonna change this i gotta make it more of a smooth transition maybe even put some of these stairs down here or something so ignore these last

Couple lines but everything else is pretty good i’m liking it now let’s hoe up some land here i have so many seeds do i have my hoe on me of course not but as soon as this is like all pushed up against the fence i look i i think it’ll

Look even better and then of course i have to like figure this out too i’m probably just gonna make the wall come all the way down and kind of like be look like a little support and stuff i think that’ll be kind of nice but yeah i’m liking this path i’m liking that

Chicken coop i’m liking this series ah there is a tradie guy over there and i don’t know where he is because he’s invisible so we’re going to turn it to daytime as we should have done already let’s see here where abouts where abouts here’s the leads oh you’re under here

Hi do you have the coral fan block no you don’t that would have been very convenient i don’t really want any of this other stuff though wait i could i think i could bone meal coral underwater can’t i oh that’d be that’d be so convenient we’re gonna try that right now

I think you can uh but do you get coral i don’t think you do i mean it’s worth a shot uh whereabouts are my goodies they’re up here oops they’re oops they’re up here i’m just gonna go ahead and buy a couple i’ll just take the whole thing i’m not

Gonna spend the whole thing i’ll just take the whole thing buy a couple of those guys and then we’ll we’ll put some of those blocks under water and see what happens when you bonemeal them i don’t think this works the way i want it to work we’ll get the one of these

One of those and one of those because why not wait did they get more trades they should the more you buy stuff from them the more trades they should have but he doesn’t have any more all right let’s try this uh little task here that most of you probably know the answer to

And i’d love to have a farm dog yeah that’s what i thought no coral but you get like this grassy stuff which you don’t even have to put on the actual coral blocks itself you could just do it like on the side okay we have to find a warm ocean because i

Need that dead coral fan block thing to make it look like a nest but in the meantime that is gonna be it for this episode i love the little coop we created today and the front of the house is looking more and more ranch-style-y we’ve got to start working on the inside

Of the house though we don’t have too much on the inside just yet probably start pretty simple with a little kitchen and dining table or something i don’t know whatever well however the mood strikes me is where we’ll start it then we’ve got to build another house up here for the

Mending book guy because i want him to have like a separate little house we’ll try to make it look cabony or maybe solitude maybe we’ll make it look a little dilapidated like he like he used to be a part of this village and then they kind of kicked him out oh look at

That’s looking real look at the natural curve there in the path oh i’m excited oh it looks so good uh yeah we might make it like a little shack where you know he he got he got kicked out of the town but he still wants to live nearby because you know memories

I don’t know so we got to build a house there and then of course the stable down here which we are probably really close to starting i just need to collect some more materials the cows are looking good the horses have a really small area i think i have to reverse them
