Minecraft players woke up to the familiar frustration of broken authentication on October 5. Status trackers are showing elevated reports of “authentication server down,” inability to sign in with Microsoft accounts, and random disconnects mid session. Some users in the US and elsewhere described being completely unable to reach their worlds or join servers.

The complaints are not limited to one edition. Both Java and Bedrock users have posted identical issues. Reports mention everything from failed launches to being booted while playing with friends. One user summed it up as “The authencation servers seem to be unreachable. whenever i join a server.”
- Cannot log into Microsoft account
- Authentication server unreachable errors
- Frequent disconnects from multiplayer
- Lag and connection drops reported alongside login problems
Mojang has not posted updates on @Minecraft or the official site about this wave. In previous similar incidents the company fixed things quietly without much communication. Players are left checking status pages and waiting it out.
Keeps disconnecting to server. Being kicked from server and lots of lag
This hits at a bad time after the recent Minecraft Live announcements and new content drops. When the infrastructure underneath the hype fails, it reminds the community that stability still matters more than new dimensions or caves.
