Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 World Tour

All right guys we’re doing a world tour of my minecraft world everything in this world was legit uh the statistics this is actually more like 12 and a half days because i switched a computer um that is just some of the basic statistics and we’re going to be doing it from my

Newest and then we’ll go to oldest so this is the newest creation this is all just been flattened using tnt again everything is legit so yeah this is just like a little entrance way really easy this is just a bunch of rings going up this is my new storage facility this is

My second excavation of this scale there’s another one which i called the big dig which is about twice the size and was done by hand this one i want to say about 75 percent was blown up with tnt the rest was dug out the motive behind this was basically just boredom

I was crippled for quite a while the majority of this was i was bedridden couldn’t walk couldn’t go to work so i spent my time doing this now that i’m healed i have less time to spend playing this game but nonetheless this is a very long strip mine that goes

On and on and on and on it’s where i got a lot of the resources just go take a little look that’s like the tool resources some redstone some dungeon stuff wood wood you’re going to see later the god tree i built that’s where the majority of that wood came from

I have a mob farm where all the tnt came from i will show cobblestone running kinda low on kabul this is just some of the stuff though so yeah this is my new base of operations down here my it changes every week or so depending on where and what i’m building

So this is just the newest project of all of them i’m going to carry a bed with me because i have multiple rail systems multiple different cities some even go on like one is a 16 minute round trip it’s eight minutes there and eight minutes to get back

I thought i wanted to live very far away and then quickly found that to be very annoying so that’s this it’s just a nice little hole in the ground with some rings not too impressive this is all work in progress over here that is probably my favorite build that is a castle

That was basically done from the resources i got from the original excavation and that is a rail system that goes out eight minutes i’m not sure how many block it’s over way over the kilometer achievement this was not like this this used to be

Hills i used tnt to flatten them and i i ran out of dirt very little dirt left but basically this is all turf or the majority of this show you what i mean by that boom now if we come this way this is the actual castle this castle took around three weeks to

Build uh the materials used to you actually build it took probably you know it was built from the cobble from the original excavation the wheat was the most tedious part uh for two reasons one getting the the actual seeds to plant this um and then two making it

Mob proof was you know slabbing up that and and other various places on here so we’ll go and i’ll show you that was the first tower built this is supposed to be like a stylo to keep the wheat coming here this was the original base of operations for this build

All the chests have been moved to that bottom little excavation site you saw before but it’s all functional the build for this was pretty boring you know there’s about you know there’s many towers i think like seven towers i forget it’s been quite a while since i

Played the game like one two three four five six yeah there’s seven towers on this castle those are the two biggest the others are all just exact copies of each other i wanted to connect these mountains and keep things as organic as possible and then here there’s like a little lookout area

Again all extremely tedious trying to keep it so mobs can’t spawn fall and then trample the crops i constantly have to check and make sure um they’re still good that’s a rail system to my original spawn city that will be the last thing i show everybody just because it’s the least um

Impressive as my style has changed from each iteration like each place we go but yeah this castle is one of my favorite builds i’ve ever done even though it was tedious i think the end result is quite good i also blocked off the wheat into segments so if an animal were to trample

It can’t trample the entire thing and could only trample a segment it fell into but i just think that those rolling hills of wheat is very impressive and i know the water is exposed i i don’t care enough to to fix that so now we’re going to be going to this

Originally was to find a snow biome i wanted to build a snow base unfortunately it ended up being eight minutes away by rail and used up quite a bit of iron so we’re gonna go i’m gonna speed it up or i’ll just cut to where it is this is

Eight minutes and maybe i’ll speed it up i probably will just speed it up okay so what we’re about to stumble upon is one of my favorite builds i’ve ever made a god tree and how i did it is if you could see i just went and cut down every tree that

Wasn’t a big one and i’m in i thought i was going to be building a base here but um that never happened this is basically where i realized i don’t want to be thousands and thousands and thousands of blocks away from my other builds i contemplated building this again where

My actual castle is but you know it was such a tedious build that i decided not to so in essence you might have to work you know you have to work really hard to get to this it’s not the best tree in the world but it was the first giant

Tree i’ve ever built and i’m proud of how it came out there’s actually i have reddit posts that document there’s some cobble here i should take there’s some stuff in here but anyway this is an ugly base it’s also another reason why i kind of like decided to say fubar to this area

I uh i play on peaceful mostly sometimes i switch it to normal and hard difficulty it kind of depends on the mood i’m building it’s really hard to build this stuff and deal with monsters so normally when i’m building i keep it on peaceful it’s completely hollow on the inside i

Actually followed a tutorial on building this now any tutorial for a tree is just conceptual everyone’s will be unique and different but this took quite a while i mean i want to say three to four days maybe five days if you include how much time i spent chopping down trees and i

Went everywhere and chopped down trees this again was another flattening i thought i was going to build a big city type thing over here but i really just didn’t like how far away i am from spawn we’re about four minutes by rail from spawn or uh from the castle

And it’s the railroad’s not done this is just like a stop along the way to another base i have in a snow biome so we will again skip through or speed it up so you don’t have to just watch nothing but rail but yeah i really liked rail i

Had an abundance of iron and i didn’t have anything to do with it because i just have so much diamond there’s no point in saving the iron so i said why not build like a train station type thing so we’re going to speed this up right here okay so

Finally i remember i was building that way saw the snow made a turn the goal of this was to find the goal of this entire rail was to find a snow biome and unfortunately it was you know eight minutes away thousands of blocks away and at the end of this i actually used

So much iron and gold building the rail i just basically made this base this purpose a mine shaft and you’re gonna see it’s a really really shite bass uh compared to everything else just look at it um the whole purpose was literally just to mine

And there is a decent sized mine at the bottom of it it is a very you know that was burnt from the game when i made this basically so it’s your typical base you know a lot of storage actually no one i’m gonna grab that armor

I don’t know we’ll keep it in there i haven’t been here in quite a while but yeah i was stupid i was gonna continue making a railroad but decided not to and just kind of left this here there’s gonna be another rail going that way but i decided against it

This is the actual mine shaft it’s pretty long this is just some tree i built or grew with a little light shaft it’s really mediocre there’s nothing special about this place at all a little lookout i really just wanted to have access to a snow biome

All right so now we’re gonna go back because that’s all this was that was eight minutes to get here just for this so now we’ll go take this back to the castle and then we’ll take another rail to the actual spawn city which is where i first started this world

And again i started this world back in november of 2021 i never intended for it to get like this as you see we’re on beta 1.7.3 uh basically i played minecraft since december of 2010 and i stopped playing minecraft right around when they added those underwater pyramids

I wanted you know to come back to the game years and years and years later when i was injured and had all this free time but the new game just seemed so cheaty like with the flying and you would farm everything it’s like there’s no there’s no challenge there’s no reward

So i picked up beta 1.73 which was the last update before the adventure update and uh basically i’ve been playing ever since that i have no desire for any of the new updates this is kind of the truest minecraft experience and i really wish that notch continued development from this version not the

1.8 version but yeah childhood memories man it’s it’s crazy when you just pick this game up and start playing it again it’s like reliving your childhood so we’re gonna skip through all this and then i’ll meet you guys back when we’re at the castle we’re coming up

To the wheat kingdom as you can see turfing it out to basically give myself more room to build i ran out of dirt lighting it up some monsters don’t spawn and now we’re coming in to the train station of the wheat kingdom and i’m not going to speed up the next part

Because it’s not very long train ride it’s only about i think like like a minute or so actually you know we’ll go to sleep real quick so you know you really gotta grind in the betas you know like i said i have about 12 real life days put into this world

Uh to get to this point i think appeal of the newer minecraft is you can achieve more faster because it’s so just different like it’s it’s the training with the villagers like i watch a guy who didn’t even have to mine he literally never mind and he has all this

Enchanted stuff just by making an iron farm with villagers and and then all that jazz it’s just not my speed the betas are my opinion the best experience for true minecraft which is a survival game it turned into more like a rpg game now what happened here where’d my button go

All right so this yeah i had plans here never finished him that’s ugly i know this was we’re going to my original area which is only like 400 blocks away it’s not far at all and when i originally branched out to build this this castle i i totally thought it was farther than

It actually was this is actually some beautiful landscape i used to want to put windmills here and have all this as a wheat farm but after how long it took me to do just what’s in the castle i completely did not have the motivation to build that you can still see the

Castle from the railroad now this has all been documented via reddit posts so if anyone wants to see the build process but for all of these builds there are i’ll have a link to the reddit in the bio at the bio the description so that you

Can see the process it took to build each and every one of these builds alright so this is my spawn area what i call spawn city i spent a lot of time here this has still never been finished to get all the black wool but this was my original storage center idea

It was to be this pantheon-like structure i don’t know if you guys remember but back in the old days servers had pantheons so okay basically we’ll go in order of when things were built this was later there used to be my original like first ever base this is my spawn point

Or this is zero zero i actually spawn in one of these pillars so my spawn point was like roughly over here somewhere i basically made like a little fork type thing over here and then dug into the like cliff that i tore down later on this mushroom

Farm is getting out of control it was never a mushroom farm it was just a little bit of mushrooms that are now growing exponentially they’re taking over everything but this was the original base right in here it was your typical average minecraft base from the beta days

There’s a mine the floors are furnaces so on there’s nothing really to see it’s all been torn down this the fort really was over here this actually was the walkway to the fort and then i had this courtyard i built that light tower that was the second thing i built

That was one of the first things i built ever when playing minecraft back in 2010 so i resurrected that style there was a fountain here that has been covered up because i wanted to build this what i call the foundation and then we might as well get this out of the way now

It was really ugly and it was once i was done building this that’s when i left to go to the castle because it was just getting too Just over overwhelmed in here i never even finished the staircase as you can see we’ve literally never finished this is a giant wheat farm i tried to make it like a 1930s skyscraper that was the goal with it it was pretty easy to build i’ll show it real quick come in here

The redstone is mediocre and it’s just basically floors and floors of nothing but farm really no sense of me going all the way up there’s nothing really to see it’s the same thing on every floor uses pistons to let water flow and in this version i i made a fatal mistake

Because like i said i haven’t played minecraft in years when you uh use water to destroy seeds it doesn’t drop seeds so that’s why i i planted it once used it and then never again because i could not muster up getting the seeds for both that and the castle this was a

Leaf on a wheat farm a uh a bamboo farm right here ugly ugly as sin but it works so there’s the pantheon now i will be honest the sand and glass was all well i guess just the sand i had to smelt the glass but i duped the sand

That is the original big dig it’s probably the biggest glass tower i’ve ever made and it took me a month to dig that all the way down to bedrock little more than a month the most awful process i’ve ever done in my life and i could not stomach having to dig

More sand so this is how we duped the sand just by doing this see it duplicates it so i will be honest that is how i got the sand for both the stadium and the glass for that we’re gonna go check out the stadium first that’s my mob

Spawner i pretty much would just afk there for i’ll go to what literally would just stand there collecting items afk the monsters just dropped down into there and all this is also lit up with all the caves lit up as well that it works pretty great

No matter what time of day it is i made these little custom trees to make it a little more live like and the stadium also you know was never i guessed finished i just got so incredibly tired of the repetition that was this i have a lot of dogs here

I have no plans on ever making this finished it’s just too far gone at this point what i’m doing now is i’m basically just gonna go up here and show everyone what the scale of this is actually pretty nuts pretty easy to build because it was just

An oval going out and out and out but that is the stadium it’s pretty freaking huge you get a good view of the lava tower and you can see here what i was doing with all that i don’t know if i’ll die let’s see nice little bridge

I basically have to swim to the mob spawner and get up through here i debated having to build more floors but honestly it’s so efficient because everywhere is so lit up that it’s it’s just not worth the effort and i grind it out i mean i have stacks

Of tnt i’m pretty sure i spent a week just being constantly afk to get the gunpowder for those tnt this was tedious to build my map is around 90 megabytes in size i had to export these bricks let me tell you it a goal i had was to build a brick house

Because bricks are kind of a flex because they are so expensive and this took an absorbent amount of time the building of the house only took me a day if that maybe a half day but getting the bricks oh my god this is just supposed to be like a modern house

I’m really bad with interior design so most of it is just empty beside the bedroom and like the living room here that’s supposed to be a tv not one of my favorite builds and it’s not even finished because i had to yeah as you can see

I tried my best to make this look natural on this side overall just a really ugly build another one of the reasons i’ve left this area i mean it all comes together quite nicely but this is the monster big dig this is what basically got me the resources to build the castle

And the motive behind it was when i was done building the pantheon i had like no resources left so i figured what better way to get resources than to dig a giant hole down to bedrock then it has a spiral stick so as you can see this is

A common theme of digging these holes this one took a month of digging all the way down to bedrock it’s it’s just insane i mean i don’t know what i was thinking when i did this it took a month i never i i never wanted to dig again after that

And the resources just i mean i know i duplicated the sand but to smelt that sand into this glass the coal the sheer amount of coal this required is it’s crazy it’s really just crazy we’re gonna go to the top here it doesn’t go quite to sky limit

Let’s see i forget exactly where this goes 121 almost but here you get a good layout of everything of the original area we’ll do this because why not you get a good layout of everything from up there and yeah that’s it that is what around 12 days of

Game like like 12 real days of play time will get you i started in november the recording date is actually may 31st so you do the math there december well all of november all of december all of january all of february all march all of april like seven months

Almost a year this is what we were able to do so yeah that’s my world and uh i strongly recommend if you’re one of the og people that played you know minecraft back in the day back in 2010 in the alpha and beta days pick it up again pick up the beta and
