Minecraft: PS4 – Fallout Edition – Battle Mini-game

Hello this is stampy and welcome to a minecraft let’s play video today i’m playing another round on the battle mini game uh this is on the the playstation 4 and this is i believe the first ever uh video i’ve done on the playstation 4 doing the battle mini game pack which is

A little bit exciting it’s pretty much the same as all of the other versions but it’s still uh yeah quite fun to play on something different but the big thing is that there’s new maps out there’s the um how do i get to them here they are the

The the fallout battle map pack and there’s three maps atomics uh lib italia and a capital so uh let’s uh let’s vote for these i have just played a round where i tried to play them but everyone voted for cove so even though there’s brand new maps here uh people are still

Voting for the the old things but that’s kind of something that comes up every time we we go to do a video on a new map pack everyone always ends up voting for the old ones but it looks like uh we’re going to be getting one of the the new

Maps here the big question is do i know which one it is i don’t know if i don’t i think this looks like capital i think i assume this is capital because uh the libertarian one that’s the one that’s covered in water i believe and then the atonic one

Is something to do with robots i believe it sounds like it’s to do a robot or something so yeah i don’t know anything about the maps um i have played uh some of the the fallout games so i don’t know there might be a a few things i recognize from

From fallout but this is going to be both my first time seeing and playing any of these maps so i probably won’t do very well um i’m not doing like a crazy challenge or anything i’m just i’m just basically playing to to win here so i

Guess the the challenge is to to win and to have fun i guess which is a quite nice just to have that as a challenge and how do i set oh there’s a a pressure plate here if i do this is this going to launch me up here if i go

Like that and then okay i think i need to sprint because i’m going to spend the entire episode on this one slime block there we go that’s what i was trying to do so as you can see it’s kind of like a destroyed city it works really well the

Fallout theme just works so well for kind of like this survival game style uh game because everyone’s just running around like a ruined city and trying to to scavenge whatever loot they can find it just it fits the the setting at all that’s tnt that is tnt right i want her

To stay away from her from that i also have the uh the challenge of trying to to work out what everything is like this is a a texture pack that i haven’t really used very much so i don’t know what all of the the the textures are for

Example i don’t know what uh gold helmet is or a chain helmet it seems to be generally pretty self-explanatory but uh yeah those those quick on the fly decisions are going to be a little bit more difficult because i can’t work out exactly what everything is but i did

Work out that there’s someone underneath me down there do you reckon i could uh i could drop down and surprise him let’s maybe try go over this bridge here and look around this way there’s three people left in the game actually the game uh filled up pretty quickly so um

I do have quite a few competitors left if you are sitting there wondering what is this weird music that stampy has put under the background of his video this is in the the game all of like the the mash-up packs and stuff kind of have their their own music and the battle

Minigame maps and so this is this is just the music that’s that’s in the the game there’s uh in the actual fallout games if you haven’t played any of them uh there’s music that that plays in the the background uh you basically have a radio and you kind of listen to all of

This old-timey music and so that’s kind of what you can hear a little bit of playing in the the background i quite like it it’s um it’s very different uh to all of the the other normal minecraft music or even the the other battle mini

Game music so it does stand out a little bit but i don’t mind it no i got hurt i got her who i got i got shot by a by an arrow i don’t know i don’t know where they shot me from though but someone someone knows exactly where i am i

Reckon they’re from one of these rooftops let’s uh let’s maybe get out of the street and look around of course uh the first thing you want to do when um uh playing a new map apart from winning is to start learning where some of the the chests are located and normally you

Have to play it probably like a good 10 times or something before you really feel comfortable working out where the majority of the the chests are so uh that is something that uh i won’t be able to to do straight away today at all that’s a bit cheeky

But the good thing is is that as i’m recording this the maps have only just come out so uh the chances are like no one really knows what they’re they’re doing right now so oh yeah it should be uh pretty equal for for everyone unless someone’s been on

Quite a few times to today so uh this is kind of the bit where it gets confusing when you’re looking at the the swords and things to work out which is which but let’s have this uh this golden apple i definitely know what that is and let’s

Try and knock this guy back and then maybe use a harming potion like that there we go i think that did some good damage hopefully i hurt him more than he hurt me i saw him there having some sort of potion i do have a uh regeneration

Potion myself so that should help me out i have no idea how much healthy has oh no no i went to third person by accident then right i do have some uh i do have some bow and arrow so i should be able to hit him with that and a portion of

Invisibility as well i don’t know uh how much that is going to help me out the regeneration potion did a good job of getting my health back up though how much health does does he have though that’s the question i don’t know he’s going to get me oh i was probably close

I didn’t know what armor he had on i didn’t know what defense he had i couldn’t really i couldn’t really tell i think he might have had eye and armor on but i’m not sure and that’s why he was able to survive so long still though

That was a a pretty epic battle to end that round then so as i said i believe that was capital let’s look at the other picture yeah that looks like capital so let’s go for the the libertalia one this one looks interesting because i quite like the water maps because if you look

At just the the picture which is all i’ve seen of it it looks like you might be able to do quite a lot of parkour jumping around the little islands over the the water and that’s just something that i just love doing in minecraft in general so i think that’s going to be

Quite a good fun one so assuming uh that is the the one that everyone votes for and that would be the one we play next that seemed like a cool map though that one like i haven’t played it enough obviously that’s the only time i played

It to know how fun it’s going to be when you play it again and again and again but just as a first time looking at the the map it seemed i don’t know it seemed to look look nice and that’s kind of you know that’s kind of the first thing you can

Judge it on when you’ve only played and that once you know all you can really judge it on is how good it looks and then uh once you play it again and again and again you can be like right this is actually a fun map to play on it as well

So right a good start the plan is just to play all three of the the maps once uh and then we’ll see how much time we have left in the other video whether i want to to go back and play one of my favorite ones or whatever maybe i could

Come up with a little challenge and ah okay it is completely covered in water i wonder if you can get boats i wonder if you can even place down boats in the battle mini game that would be quite cool though right what’d i get i got a

Bow and arrow i was too slow getting anything from the uh from the top as you can see i am a little bit a little bit worse at the the playstation 4 version i am a little bit philly it’s not it’s not that much different to be honest

Compared to xbox but i am just used to the uh the xbox 360 controller a little bit more so i’m a little bit more sluggish with the the playstation 4 and you saw me kind of accidentally switching to third person and stuff so don’t expect me to to be quite as good

As i am on xbox not that i’m incredible on xbox or anything but uh yeah just the the controls is something that i i need to to get used to a little bit but it’s not too much of a problem and the reason i’m playing on playstation 4 by the way

Is one just because a lot of people have been asking me to play on playstation 4 like if people uh play on playstation then i think they like to to watch on playstation as well so there was that reason also i don’t have as many of the

Maps and uh the problem when i’m trying to do these videos on specific maps is as i kind of mentioned earlier people don’t always vote for the map you want to play and then it means that you often have to to search for absolutely ages

Until you get all of the the maps that you want and soon as there’s just less to to choose from i thought i’d do the the playstation 4. and i don’t really like doing xbox one very much because the game always really lags for me for

For some reason when i’m on an xbox one i think it’s fine for some people but for whatever reason i have no idea why uh when i play online on xbox one it always just lags it a little bit so that’s kind of why i’d stuck to 360.

Anyway i got some good stuff here i got some um i think this is iron yeah i got iron boots and a chain chest plate uh i got a a pretty good shovel so this is a great start if i could get like a decent sword

Or something then i might be i might be set to get my first victory here in the the fallout um uh battle pack uh certainly looking better than i was in the the last episode i’m finding i’m finding chess a little bit easier and also um i’m finding better stuff in the

The chess which is uh almost as important like if you find like five chests but only get rubbish stuff like you might as well not found those chests you know like it’s it is a little bit of luck uh in terms of getting the the things that you where

You actually want but i’m doing an okay job at finding the chest as i say that i haven’t found a chest for a good minute or so so hopefully uh that is going to change pretty soon right can i jump up here there seems to be like an end rod

In the way can i kind of like go around the the side of a hat i can and that’s going to lead me to here let’s go up on top of whatever this thing is this is basically like a a an abandoned shipyard it’s kind of loads of uh crashed and

Rotting and derelict ships kind of all by themselves once again a really cool place to have one of these battles and then ha i have found someone i have tracked someone down and oh i knocked them off did that okay they didn’t land in water so that probably hurt them a

Little bit and there we go i was able to to track them down and sneak up on them let’s see if i can get any decent armor from them did they have a helmet i thought i thought they had a helmet i don’t think they did have a helmet they

Did have a an axe and this is only a wooden axe though see it doesn’t look like wood this is the the thing that i always i always struggle with in these these battle packs is things don’t often look like what they actually are supposed to be so eventually like if you

Played them enough you would you would learn that you know wooden axes kind of look like stone axes but yeah for your first time playing it’s hard to work out uh immediately so i didn’t actually i didn’t get anything really better from that battle but i took someone out and

That is of course the the aim of the the game anyway and actually i believe there’s only one other person left in the game as well for me oh no there’s two more there’s two more uh people left in the game apart from me so down to the

Final three uh not uh too bad whatsoever and a hat there is someone in the the middle over there so uh what i should be able to to do is i jump down in the the water and i might be able to to sneak up on them uh

That way so let’s empty out my pockets with some of the the things i don’t need i’ve actually got some uh some invisibility here as well so i could have i don’t know that was dangerous i missed the slime i missed this life i was i was drinking

The invisibility and it kind of kind of made me mess up my my jump a little bit but i should be okay my health should be up by the time i get into a battle with them and i can use the the bow and arrow

To to knock them back if they do try and chase me into the the water so let’s go and uh and try more fell in the water again fell in the water again this isn’t going i don’t know they’re doing they’re doing to me what i said i wanted to do

To them to to push them back in the the water so if they do chase me i can kind of keep pushing them back but at the moment this isn’t a great situation for me and they do have some pretty good stuff i got a harming potion on them and

Then a few nice good bow and arrow shots so they’ve got to be relatively weak at this point let’s uh let’s commit let’s go into and charge in and see if we can we can finish them off there we go i have stolen the middle i have stolen the

Perch in the middle there we go i was able to take them out and they were the last person that was such a big change around i was looking doomed floundering around in the the water down there i thought i had made a big mistake after i

Fell in but you know what i was able to make it work and i was able to win the round so all right then the the last one is atomics that’s the the map we haven’t voted for uh for yet and i can’t really tell from the the picture what it looks

Like it looks like there’s a giant mr handyman in the in the background there which is just a a handy robot so i’m going to do so i’m going to cut ahead in the the video until the the round has uh started up and yeah we can try out

Atomics right then the the next round is loading up it seems like it’s uh a nighttime map well at least uh i don’t know the sun’s either about to to go down or come out it’s certainly a darker map so let’s see what we can get oh i

Think is that a sword oh i got shears oh they just look like old scissors right got some shears there they’re going to be better than nothing they have sharpness too but they’re certainly not the the best weapon i always get confused with shears and sharpness and

Stuff i can never actually uh work out what’s better than something else and everyone always corrects me in the comments and says that i get it wrong so sorry if i end up getting it wrong and hello this person is charging straight after me oh he got a sword i thought he

Was using a fishing rod i thought that was a fishing rod that he was using he went straight after me let me look at it let me see what he’s holding that was he holding shears as well i had no idea what he was holding

Then i thought he was hitting me with a fishing rod and i was gonna win that for for sure well that was a um that was a very short round i mean we got a very brief look at the the atomic map looks pretty cool didn’t

Have much of a chance to run around on it but don’t worry i will go and uh have another round so yeah i’m going to cut ahead in the video i’m going to vote for this map again hopefully we’re going to have another chance to play it and i can

Do better than that because to be honest that was a little bit embarrassing okay welcome back uh we are playing back on libertalia uh this time uh this is what most people voted for and as soon as i did pretty well on this map last time i

Thought you know what i might as well play out this this round but don’t worry i will definitely uh have another game on atomics at some point in the video seen as well i don’t really feel like i had a game to be honest that was a that

Was a little bit rubbish and it was fair enough him chasing me down like that like i have no problem with someone being aggressive and taking someone out the beginning like when they have a chance it’s just when there’s like three people chasing you and like they don’t

Even have weapons yet and they’re just punching you that’s that at that point it’s just like it would benefit all of us if you didn’t do that but yeah that was that was bad by me and uh and goodbye them so well goodbye me i guess

Right then let’s go and play this map again i like this map i like i like the the the more open maps i think i always find the ones that have too many places to to hide can sometimes just be a little bit too slow and i think that

Maps like this where i can see right there’s a guy all the way up there even if i can’t get to them yet i don’t know it’s just it’s just fun you know i can kind of keep track of where everyone is and it kind of speeds up the the pace of

The the game a little bit so uh so yeah i do uh definitely like that i kind of have control of the the middle right now which is uh which is good it means i can grab all of these goodies uh there is someone uh pushing in against me now

Though no no i thought that was a harming potion i’m doing really bad with her with all of these potions and ah i think that’s the um i think that’s the person who took me out in the the last episode if i’m correct right let’s go

And see if we can uh try and uh and take them out uh i did some nice damage against them there i think i was uh that was enough to make them them back off i’ve scared them away from the the middle but they’ve gone straight to

Another chest down there in the the water so let’s keep pushing the advantage i i want her to get some some revenge if i can i think they’re they’re weak and they’re staying running but there we go i was able to take them out

And it looks like uh there was no one no one chasing behind me no did they have a stone sword they had a stone sword as well all if they were able to escape they would have definitely turned around and gone straight back after me i was i

Was good to to chase them down then i was worrying at one point like ah am i being too aggressive here but i think that definitely worked out because now they don’t have the stone sword but i do have the the stone sword so that was a

Good switch around if it has a if it’s a fire respect one though it’s not going to be as good as some other maps because if i set someone in fire they’re just going to jump in the water there’s water absolutely everywhere so it’s not uh as

Good as it would have been on some other maps and all this guy i think that’s some uh some iron armor as well but as you can see the fire aspect kind of did nothing in that battlefield for me there just seen as they um they did exactly what i said they should

Do they went straight into the water but is this some is this uh iron that is that was some iron chest plate and hello there’s someone else lurking in the the water it’s homer simpson it’s homeless since i’m lurking in the water i don’t think they have they’ve

Seen me yet but they definitely know i’m here now now that i’m attacking them and they are on the run i’m chasing homer simpson through the full out world inside of minecraft what what has gaming turned into now this is absolutely ridiculous but there we go i was able to

Take out homer simpson i don’t know if they had any any goodies on them but i got pretty nice armor overall when i got my stone sword and enchanted bow so things can’t get that much better for me to to be honest at this point so what what are these potions so invisibility

Let’s just drink that now let’s just kind of get that out of the way shall we and i got my regeneration if that comes in handy but look at the the middle that is amazing that’s such a happy sight to see all of those chests refilled but i

Don’t know where the other player is yes i do yes i now do know where they are and there we go i was able to knock them back and i hit them into the water so once again i’m not getting the the benefits of the

The um the fire aspect but i did some nice damage if they had a bow and arrow though that’s the only thing that would have really helped them because they would have been able to keep pushing me back but i’m doing not a great job at

Chasing them i know i said about how i’d love to to do parkour over the water but i’m not i’m not demonstrating that very well am i let’s see if i get them with another slowness potion no i just missed them and this is bad because their

Health will be gradually going up uh while they run away but hopefully my stone sword will be enough and yet i was able to defeat them so it seems like uh libertalia that’s my map that’s the the map i do well on and so far not so well

On the the other map so we’re gonna have one more round uh hopefully uh playing on autonomous well definitely on atomics i’m gonna cut ahead until i can get a game on that map and uh hopefully see a little bit more of the the map rather

Than the the one small room that i was taken out in by that person okay we are now playing on atomics again i don’t know how well i’m going to to do a nice comforting thought is that i know i can’t do any worse than i did last

Time on this map like i can really only only get better at this point because because of just how bad i did last time there’s no way i’m gonna be able to to do that bad well who knows who knows if i think if i get taken out now without

Doing any damage to anyone then that is the the one way it could be worse but it looks like i wasn’t chased from the the beginning i just had loads of like poison potions on me i don’t really have a anything else to attack with but loads

And loads and loads of poison potions so maybe maybe that will come in handy you normally want to have a poison potion and then something else as well like poison poison potions are amazing i always love using them uh but they’re they’re not great by themselves so let’s

See if we can get some sort of a a weapon from inside of this chest here and uh i got a pickaxe better than nothing and a potion of healing a different potion at least so it’s not only poison potion so things are looking a little bit better but still not

Amazing a little bit more armor let’s go and grab a um another healing potion in case that comes in handy i’m really not looking great so far from what i have to start out with what does what does this lever do did i die i just dropped tnt down

There’s traps everywhere i think i remember reading this in the uh the description about this map i think there’s a bunch of traps all over the the place so uh yeah i wonder if i can i can find some more of them and use them

On some people and uh and to try and avoid them so people can’t use them on me either that would uh that would be crazy uh pretty cool but for now i just want a sword or something or at least i can act something something better than

This uh this pickaxe i know did not mean to drop down then i meant to to watch the the battle i didn’t mean to join in with it quite yet and up fed in a little pit there there’s some i don’t know what that is i think that’s

Supposed to be like radiation goo or something or i’m not entirely uh i’m not entirely sure what the the setting of this uh this map is supposed to be all right then let’s go into climb my way up back to the high ground i always feel

Safer on the the high ground i feel like if someone chases me at least i can try and knock them them back or something like you’re you’re less likely to get trapped when you’re you’re somewhere up high like this there’s normally at least

A um a few routes you can use to to run away and aha this can kind of take me up to the top of the map and oh there’s some more levers here let’s uh let’s pull them down hopefully that’s not a trap let’s uh let’s just back off in

Case there is some tnt or something oh oh i think i made an explosion was that me i don’t know if that was me but there was an explosion down there i don’t know if that’s because of what i did or something else but whoa okay

Things are starting to to look up a little bit so i got some pretty good armor here only leather pants any better pants in here i don’t think so let’s take the the arrows because they’re going to come in handy in case i um

I get a bow and i got a shovel so not not incredible but definitely a bigger improvement from the stuff i had before and i love the way they flashed like that that looks really cool doesn’t it all right then let’s uh let’s go and see

If we can track some people down like getting a bow is kind of the the only other big thing i care about now uh apart from that i just want to uh to go and charge in and do as much damage as i can there’s three people left in the

Game and oh no oh no i think they might be teamed up there’s two people wandering around very close together and they don’t seem to be attacking oh no oh no we have some teamers we have some teamers right let’s see if we can go and

Deal with them i got a uh a poison potion on one of them let’s go and just keep doing poison potions at that one what if i can just completely take them out with her with poison potions right this is the one that i was able to to

Get weak with the the poison and there we go i was able to finish them off but someone else kind of charged in uh straight after me so let’s try and get back to my high ground if we uh we can getting a little bit hungry but if this

Guy chases i can go and knock them down like this with the the shovel see why i love the the high ground so much it’s amazing up here all right let’s go and have a healing potion as well then let’s plan how we want to to to push back down

Um well i can leave them there for a bit and let’s go over this way and let’s go and have a little look at in this chest here and there we go i got the the bow that i wanted and actually we’re down to

A uh a 1v1 right now let’s uh let’s kind of back off over here a little bit and i can try and use the the bow and arrow a little bit uh to try and keep them back i have no idea who’s got better stuff because i’m in this texture pack i don’t

I can’t really tell what armor they have so i don’t know if it’s any better than what i have i’ve got some pretty nice uh some pretty nice hits on them with the um the bow and arrow i do believe he just had a golden apple though so that is a

Little bit worrying and i got a harming potion on him so that should hopefully have done some decent damage there’s another harming potion here as well and i’ve got a direct hit with that one if i can get in close then i can do some decent damage with this uh the shovel oh

This is such a drawn out epic battle i don’t know down to two hearts now though down to two hearts things are looking a little bit dangerous for for me and i have no idea how much health they uh have left i’m going to to have to have

Something to to eat so i got to i got to to get my hunger up right let’s just try and back off and let’s just run around here just see if there’s there’s any goodies lying around on the floor oh that’s an enchanted bow there that’s

Gonna be uh very handy to have in the fight i can’t look in the chest i don’t have time to to look in the the chest with him in this close by unless i can back him off like that right anything good anything good uh diamond pickaxe there we go that’s a

That’s an upgrade from my my shovel and he’s completely backing off now i wonder if i can get a um a sword from anywhere around here he’s still shooting arrows at me that’s only a wooden sword there but i kind of have a free reign of the

The middle of the the map right now which is generally uh where you uh you want to to be so let’s go and put uh this next to here and all right let’s go and push back in i got uh plenty of arrows and this enchanted bow uh should hopefully uh

Come in very useful i got a what potions i got a slowness potion i’ve got another harming potion as well which can be uh very useful especially against people uh that have a lot of armor like he does so is he is he gonna try and drop down he’s

Kind of lurking above me on the the roof up there no no he got a poison potion on me here so let’s go and uh try and back off i tried to hit him with a slowness potion then but i’m not sure if i was

Able to hit him but i hit him with my my enchanted bow so hopefully that’s doing a a nice amount of damage and there are a few more good uh hits can i come in and finish it off and yes i was able to win oh what an epic ending to the

To the round and the video and he quit i made the person quit as well that was an epic battle though if the person i was playing against watches this video back thanks for the uh the the really good battle and oh here are the triplets anyway that’s the end of this episode
