Mojang is done keeping Minecraft strictly digital. The official Minecraft Live recap dropped yesterday and buried in the announcements was concrete detail on Minecraft World opening at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in 2027.
The park will include the world’s first official Minecraft hotel. Guests get themed rooms, a deep sea diner, and the chance to mingle with mobs in real life. There is also an indoor outdoor rollercoaster called Escape the Nether built by Intamin that promises to feel like actually traveling through the dimension.

This is bigger than a pop up
Merlin Entertainments and Mojang have been working on this for a while. Earlier reveals positioned it as the biggest real world Minecraft experience ever. The hotel and coaster make it clear they are not messing around with half measures. If you have kids who live in the game this is the ultimate field trip.
The timing lines up with other 2027 plans including the new Sift dimension arriving in vanilla Minecraft. Real world and in game expansions feeding each other is a playbook other games wish they could pull off this cleanly.
- Minecraft World hotel features mob themed rooms and a deep sea diner
- Escape the Nether is an Intamin built rollercoaster recreating the Nether experience
- Park opens at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in London in 2027
- Project described as the largest official real world Minecraft attraction to date
Details are still light on exact pricing and booking windows but expect them to sell out fast once available. If you want to sleep in a Creeper shaped bed or ride through a blocky hell dimension this is your chance.
