Building time building time who will win and who will fall find out when we burn the wall is building time this is stumpy and welcome to building time the series where squid and i need to build in time you caught me off guard then i needed to

Turn my game up i was like i just turned my game up and you’re like well sad as we do that in real life as well i just run into you on the street and you’re like oh stumpy where are you going welcome to the high school yeah shopping

Goes everywhere just been to the supermarket milk and orange juice just flies everywhere makes me jump all the time it’s not good what are you doing here you’re making the right mess just playing around with the fan squid on my screen whoa let’s do it again anyway last week’s building time if you

Can remember me and stamps uh had to build an easter egg hunt and stumps built this on the right and i built this on the left so stamps you are the vote counter you alone well i’m gonna judge everyone so they had a choice to to judge

By how amazing the riddles were or who built the best and i’m disappointed with how everyone voted because oh man why what’s wrong what’s happened because squid got 88 000 votes and stampede cat only got 63 000 votes and it sounds like it sounds like people are voting

Based on who built the best thing yeah it’s funny that’s for building time building time that’s never intended please please vote biasly and ignore who built best please thank you everyone yes i knew you were gonna win bye you were gonna win it was no surprise so

Yeah so that you can build another little block on your podium where is the podium this is loading very slow where is it there we go is it right here there’s nothing here for me oh wait i can see it now oh no it looks like sadly squid won’t be able

To update the podium because it’s not loading and what a shame the losing streak is over thank goodness i didn’t want it to go on for too long so yeah i’m happy about that but anyway where’s the new little uh starting arena this week stamps uh so we’re building like over here next

To like uh our dream date areas yeah we had to well we’re feeling so it’s nice because we’re near the voting podium again for a little bit i always like it when we we move closer for a while yeah it’s less of a a distance to travel

Okay your challenge squid is to try and incorporate a creeper head into your build just hide one even if you can’t just hide a creeper head somewhere and i’m gonna do the same do i get extra pints well well if we both got to do it so we

Cool okay this is a case yeah where it should be it’s just so people have a choice now to vote on who like builds the best map is in terms of the most fun to play or which map looks better wait can i am i allowed to pull my keyboard like put my

Keyboard into my um my xbox will that work i want to write signs it’s gonna take forever isn’t it otherwise we are both gonna be we’re both gonna have to be in the same situation so you just need to this is this is our challenge because whenever we play

Adventure maps we always moan about they they use too many signs don’t we this is our this is our chance to put our signs where our mouths are and say look this is how to make an adventure map visually without just having to have a load of

In he’s using on un un un un un registered peripherals it’s not good anyway adventure map adventure adventure map i can’t have the idea of like it being a room and you know like listen let’s do like a castle let’s build a castle okay because castles are fun and let’s say the the

Challenges is to escape the castle okay there’s a so i’m gonna try and have no signs whatsoever but just like puzzles yeah in the castle and it’s just like can you escape the castle because that’s just a nice simple one like it’s such a small area like i can’t like i can’t

Have like a massive story can i because i just couldn’t actually i know i could have a good challenge is um i could have a moat as well and so he needs to go and uh uh try and jump over the uh the moat it could be quite good

Uh let’s just have like the mo along the front of the the castle then shall we uh rather than all the way around because i don’t really have enough room so let’s just build this castle kind of like to the edge around here and so i want to

Get the i want to get the castle part done because the castle doesn’t matter like honestly on this one i know squid should have won last week i’m generally not complaining but like this one i think it really has to be about who like makes the most fun map to play rather

Than who builds the best thing because i could say like i could build something amazing i could build something that looks absolutely spectacular and i could put a sign down and try and say like try and walk to the end of this path and say there we go that’s an adventure map you

Know and just spend the whole time making it look good but i want to make her some good puzzles that he can use to try and escape so i’m going to set him in adventure mode when he plays the uh the map uh so then that way like well

What does adventure mode do so you can’t place blocks but you’re in like survival and what else like can you craft things in adventure mode you can craft things can’t you and if i guess if you can’t play uh place anything i guess it’s gonna be really um

Uh really difficult uh because um uh yeah like you can’t like it’s not like oh you need to get over a wall so build a ladder and place it because you know it’s not going to to let you place the the ladder uh so it will be quite a

Tricky one and i’m probably gonna i’m really gonna have this as the uh the last layer uh that i do for the the castle uh because i really do want to have uh have time to start adding in uh yeah the actual the actual puzzles to

Make this uh a proper adventure map so i’m going to do like a a starting room uh that he starts it i could do as if he’s like in prison like in like the dungeon it could be quite a good way to do it so let’s just kind of make this

Look a little bit more castley i know this is all a little bit rubbish i know this is like you know i’m doing it quickly it’s building time i have 15 minutes to build like what did you expect and actually that’s quite handy because that kind of like that fits in perfectly

Normally whenever i’m building something like that and i’m like i’m adding in torches or building something along the top like this it never fits in perfectly like that so i’m very glad it did is it going to fit in perfectly on this side as well nope i knew i knew i knew it

When i knew it would have been too good to to be true to fit in perfectly on that side so let’s kind of do it a little bit like that and then do the same on this side and then at least i’ve got my car so i’ve

Got something to something to look at something to to escape from i guess and is this ah this doesn’t even fit in right here does it either uh well well i done differently that should be there and then there we go that’s fine that is fine right let’s go into

Let’s go and do the uh the the gate uh along the uh the front of the the castle so this is like the the middle of the the castle here uh and i guess i’m gonna just trying to gonna make it up as i go

Along so let’s fill this in uh let’s not make sure it’s uh it’s too easy to to escape the the castle and then i’m going to go and add the uh the moton and then apart from that that’s probably going to be like most like the proper building

Done like of course i’m going to be building like i’m going to be like adding stuff in but that’s going to be like hopefully most of like the the structural building like this is me building the castle and now i’m just going to be adding uh in puzzles uh like

I guess the easiest way to do this as soon as i don’t have much time to to plan is to um is to do like uh like each room as like a puzzle so you start off in one room and you need to work out how to escape

And then you need to get to the next room then you’ve got to work out how to escape and kind of do it that way i think that might be like the uh the easiest way to to do things and this actually reminds me because i actually

Came up with an idea for a series and uh the idea was was that we do a series where me and squid are both building like for each other but like separately so like we’re not talking to each other an adventure map and then like after

About i don’t know like five episodes or so we would go and play through like do a let’s play of each other’s adventure maps and i suggested that to squint he was sort of like nah i’m not really sure i don’t know whether the building of it would be entertaining or something he

Just wasn’t sure on the idea and i get his concerns but what do you think like do you think that would be fun would you like to to see us um oh yeah doing that series because i think it’d be fun i’d love to make an

Adventure map like i just don’t i just don’t have the time i just don’t have the time to just sit there and build an adventure map but i wish i did i really wish i did and so like i kind of i think the way i’ll justify it to to myself

Like to to put the time in to build it is only if like i was doing it for a series you know i think that way i could say right well if i’m doing it for a series then it’s you know that’s okay like you know that’s kind of a

Justifiable reason uh for me to um to to do it so let me know if that is something that you would be interested in of course you know it’s going to be a lot of building a lot of building but i just love the uh the idea of building an adventure map

And kind of like we play so many like we play so many adventure maps and it’s kind of like these builders spend ages building and then we kind of like you know we just spend like a couple hours just playing through them and then like everyone sees that video and i kind of

Feel like i kind of feel a little bad for the builders sometimes and you know they love it like they love seeing us doing the let’s play and it kind of lets people see the the map and stuff so it’s not like it’s like we’re doing something

Necessarily unfair but i feel like right for once i want to be the one making the the map and i kind of want to experience what that’s like because it’s something that i’ve never really done in in minecraft before anyway here’s my here is my first room so this is going to be

The uh the room uh that squid starts off in and so i’m gonna kind of just build the room first and then i just need to sort of make up some way uh for him to to be able uh to uh escape the the room i gotta add some parkour i gotta have

Some lava parkour in here it wouldn’t be an adventure map without some absolutely awful lava parkour which is way too difficult and with no checkpoints i just wanna i just wanna do it just to put squid through i think i am i’m joking but i think i am actually going

To do that now because i’ve just convinced myself that it will be hilarious and i need to have like some combat i need to have some some googlies uh that spawn at um at some point but first uh how can uh so this is the room this is what squid’s

Gonna start in and i guess we could have like let’s say let’s let’s do this simple there’s an iron door and uh squid uh needs to go and try and find the uh the key uh to the door so he can escape there we go that’s a pretty standard

Puzzle uh but then i just need to find uh an ingenious place uh to hide the um oh yeah actually let’s uh what i could do is i could allow it so he can craft the key so what i could do is if i get the uh if

I do the ceiling out of wood but have one of them as a crafting table uh then that way uh what i can do is i could do it so he needs to craft the lever so if i put a crafting table like there then he would never know he would never know

That that is actually a crafting table and and not a a wooden beam uh so let’s go and let’s add another one uh somewhere else as well and i think he’s gonna test them like squid’s pretty smart squid’s pretty he’s played a lot of minecraft so i think he is gonna be

Able uh to work this out and then the question is is he going to uh to place it i think i might just not do it uh on uh on adventure mode uh just because um i just because i’m not sure whether he is going to allow him to place the lever uh

Or not so i think i might just do it on survival and say right just don’t spend ages punching down the the iron door for for now so there we go so what we can do now is just hide a bunch of of things uh

In here and oh i need to hide the creeper head at some point as well i can’t forget about that i gotta get by i gotta get my bonus points so i can add like a bit of a cobblestone in here and then i guess i can hide a stick in one

Of the other chests and so these are the the two things that he needs to find but then i can just mix them with a bunch of just other random materials uh things that wouldn’t be very useful at all to him uh just to kind of just throw him

Off a little bit uh just to kind of like so this way he’s not going to to know what it is that he’s looking for so let’s just go and fill uh these up with some of these random things like this uh this is kind of just uh because like if

You have um like the puzzles can often be quite simple but you just need lots of distractions like you need lots of things that that people aren’t going to know are if they are part of the puzzle or or not and that’s kind of what makes

A lot of the uh the puzzles better so i don’t really want to add many like proper blocks in because i don’t want him to be able to to use them to to pile up like in other rooms uh so i kind of just want as many just sort of generic

Things let’s get some eggs in here some leather and stuff and let’s just go and just throw these in here cause i’m spending way too long filling up these chests uh when the yeah it really doesn’t matter it’s kind of just uh to add some distraction so let’s just go

And add some things in this chest here and actually i should probably add some uh i don’t add much food in either actually so let’s go and just add in some uh some random bits of food as well so then that way he doesn’t get um oh

Yeah he doesn’t get hungry during the the adventures let’s just go and just spread this food out across some of these uh these different chests like that there we go so that’s the first puzzle he needs to go and craft the the lever with the hidden crafting table uh

Which is going to be in the ceiling and i now only have five minutes left after all of that i only have five minutes left uh to be able to finish this adventure map this is taking uh much longer than i thought it was going to so now let’s go straight into the

Lava park or shall we i don’t want to run out of time and not be able to to do the the lava park or and so let’s go straight ahead and do that now to be honest i don’t know how much time i’m going to have after the lava park or for

Like anything else so i might have the lava parkour here and then when he gets to the other side he needs to battle some googlies and then he can go and escape the the castle i think that’s literally all i’m going to have uh uh have time for uh just because just

Because building the castle kind of took uh all of the uh the time uh the problem is like i have i do have so many ideas for adventure maps like i have so many ideas for like ways to tell a story in minecraft that don’t involve lots of

Books and signs because a lot of maps kind of i think a lot of people need to remember like when making an adventure map like that they are making an adventure map and i think a lot of people try and make their favorite games in minecraft i say if they really like

This game which has like this really big in-depth story and it’s their favorite game they want to make it in minecraft but minecraft probably isn’t the best way to do that especially on console versions because like you can’t have voices and stuff and like there’s no point having this big backstory the best

Thing to do is to try and like just to tell the story as much as you can with the gameplay and you know and now allow them to to make as many decisions as they want you know like allow them to kind of be creative and solve the problems creative like creatively rather

Than saying like oh you cheated you know you kind of you never want to be saying to someone that they cheated because that you kind of just want them to be kind of solving the the problem creatively all right then let’s go and uh add in my parkour then our squid is

Going to love this so he can jump her to here and then i want to make sure he can’t just jump to the end that jump’s not really doable nope uh that’s not going to happen uh i know he he hates him when you got to jump on like like

Fences and stuff so then he can go and jump up oh is that even possible is that even like a doable jump i’m not sure if it’s actually that’s going to burn so let’s go and instead let’s use like i could use like a cobblestone wall i

Guess and do it so he jumps to that there we go that’s that’s much better and doing it lower down i just need to add that down there so he can’t see that uh it’s dirt down there and so then he needs to go and jump to here and then he

Could need to jump all the way to that one no that’s a little bit too tricky so let’s move that one a little bit closer to there and then he could need to jump down to uh to that one there that should not be too difficult and then just go maybe to

That one there actually no there i think would be better so you can then jump to there and then that’s kind of just the the end of the uh the parkour there so i might kind of like wall this area off as well and kind of just have this as kind

Of like the the doorway uh that he’s trying to to get to and then this room i’m gonna go and try and just have as many googlies spawning inside of here as i can and then once i’ve done that and that’s going to be pretty much the

Adventure map done then i’m just going to go and try and add as many details as i can in just to make the map look nicer at the moment as i said i’m really like i built the walls of the castle and then apart from that i’m really just trying

To to focus on the uh the gameplay as much as i can and so yeah i’m going to go and do that a bit more i kind of want to cover this up so i don’t want him to i don’t want him to to see that these are crafting

Tables and to kind of realize what the the dealios is uh so let’s just go and kind of do these along here like that just to kind of cover them uh them up a little bit kind of just looks like a little bit like of detail i guess if i

Kind of just add another one here as well it kind of just looks like it’s it’s supposed to uh to be there right then so i guess the only real way i can add the googlies in is by doing like them coming out of a a dispenser

Because i can’t i can’t put a mob spawner down like you can’t do that on console version unless you do like i think you’re like modded or something to do that as i can’t add an actual proper uh mob spawner down so i’m gonna just to

Have a have to have pressure plates and then um oh yeah pressure plates and um what’s it called uh dispensers yeah dispensing them out so what i’ll need what i’m gonna do is i’m gonna make it so he needs to get from one side of this room

To the other in order to get something uh to open the door maybe like an axe and then once he’s got the the axe uh he’s allowed to to break out the uh the door uh and then he can go and uh jump over the moat and uh yeah then he’ll be

Able to to escape so there we go that’s that’s my little adventure map so then literally the only sign i need to put down is one in that first room which just says escape the castle that’s literally all uh all it needs to do is just say escape the castle and then

That’s kind of that’s kind of it like there needs to be no other story because no other stories needed really it’s kind of all about the uh the gameplay uh in the in this case here so let’s go and fill all of this along to here and i’ve

Got like a minute left here so i need to be as fast as i can so uh what i’m going to have to do is just put the um like the dispensers like up on like the uh on the this on like the surface i guess like i don’t have time to like

Hide them or be sneaky because i’m literally going to to run out of time otherwise so let’s just go and uh put these down just kind of around like this and if i put one like right oh no didn’t mean to do that oh yeah if i put one

Right here then that one’s uh pretty much like unavoidable uh i guess so then i can just go and scatter as many of these around the place as i can and like he can easily avoid these but i really don’t have a have time to do anything uh

Sneakier than what i’m doing here so let’s go and put that there and then i need to be as fast as i can i need to put these in here and then that there i’m just going to put a chest down at the the end and that’s going to have an

Axe in where a chest wear a chest where a chest red chest where our axes where our axes where our axes let’s go and grab you and uh put you at the end down there and then the last thing i need to do is just to put the uh the sign up uh

That says escape the uh escape the the castle so let’s go and uh fill that in there and then let’s just go and put the sign down like i think i got a little bit of extra time from the the timer uh just because i think squid started his

Later uh so i should have time to finish the the sign escape there we go done hello squid nugget hello hello hello how did that go for you was that was that good bad uh did you build the best adventure map ever not really i can’t look at what i’m looking forward

To is it is it playable yeah it’s playable it’s just stupid okay that’s kind of what i expected to be there right to burn the wall yep let’s do it did you remember to put the creeper head in by the way yep no i’ve forgotten so i just dropped mine

I didn’t think i was allowed to place it so i just dropped i did remember like at points but then i forgot again that was the problem oh both both with the stone i see why is it about adventure maps they suddenly lose all color just like real adventure maps right

So who’s gonna play who’s first uh i’ll do yours first okay right so you need to um okay so don’t look i’m gonna put you in survival mode okay make sure make sure you don’t have a have anything on you okay um i guess so yeah like throw away

Any items yeah uh i just need to actually i just need to put i just need to teleport you into position how do i get it so yeah i’m going to teleport you to like the start of that okay okay what i thought like you did like i did

Make this door like a card or something like what no so there’s only there’s only one sign which i was very proud of okay in the whole map because i didn’t have my keyboard plugged in so there we go the adventure map has begun so i’m not really about to help you

Oh i got some cooked rabbit this is nice oh we got ourselves a jungle fence get is all this necessaries it’s just random stuff in your inventory so some some of it might be necessary that’s all i’m saying okay oh i don’t know what i’m saying oh it’s

Just a bunch of random items at the moment oh randomizer oh it’s blue orchid all right okay i’m gonna take the stick and stuff all right here we go right so first room very very hot squid oh oh dear i think i might die yeah

I had to have lava parkour i wouldn’t be an adventure map without lava parkour ow i’m gonna lose all my stuff no is that all that stuff necessary well so i was stu i didn’t mean to put a pressure plate in originally so there was a stick and uh and a piece of

Cobblestone which you’re supposed i don’t know if you can work that out so yeah i did that bit wrong um let me do let me give you the stuff that there we go sticking cobblestone thanks i was just throwing random stuff in i must have thrown in a pressure plate

It’s a bit easy here we go oh no i made squid i put a crafting table hidden on the ceiling i forgot you don’t need a crafting table it’s living up to the adventure map stamps i’ll tell you that mate i keep dying it’s like the adventure maps again

I can’t jump like through the door thing yeah you gotta kind of like jump like outside of the door and then carry on going did you teleport me in the lava no you ran in the lava yeah i think it’s lagging a bit right okay get get the lava park off okay okay

I’ll i’ll be your checkpoint charlie let’s do it like let’s do it like a real adventure map yeah cheat in obviously all right oh no i can do this here we go get out the way the zombies oh oh you found the you found the hidden secret okay i’m just gonna ignore them

Ignore them i get away no no no no one’s got a shovel one’s doing something sporting each other in over the pressure plate oh this is tough just run go go go yeah you escaped the castle is that it amazing amazing best adventure map 10 out of 10 ign with adventure up again

Right so i put adventure maps in but yeah i kind of did it stupidly so it’s very it’s right what do you want me in adventure mode survival mode or what do you want uh i want you in survival okay right sun stolen help right i’m gonna do my gonna take this

Lever just in case i need that i’m gonna play it like we play adventure maps oh okay and a bit of free oh it’s an open game isn’t it free roaming carpet useful possibly let’s take the carpet in case it’s useful uh what else do we have in

Here um nothing in there oh ah go to castle take key save pumpkin is that the sun like no that’s just a side quest i was outside you got side quests oh how do i oh he’s gonna wet this one out he’s gonna work this one out oh cars carpet useful yeah yeah

There we go you get it now i solved the puzzle right let’s uh open the castle oh what we got here press button do you have tnt on oh yeah there we go there you saved the sword from the evil guy hello guys where’s the pumpkin you gotta find it

I gotta save the pumpkin as well guys there’s so much it’s not under here is it no look stops what’s up here was that was there another sign up there wait you went past the parkour and you went uh did i where’s the park oh here oh okay

Right is this trick you didn’t give me any food and i’m getting hungry is the worry is that oh there we go help help that’s the adventure map quest to save the pumpkin and save the sun i think they were two equally impressive adventure maps yeah i thought they’re pretty good

To be honest my favorite was the carpet because that even stumped you you was like what how do i get over here word i wouldn’t i wouldn’t go as far as to say it stumped me i think i i had to take a second to think about it is the way i

Would word it that was good i also mentioned in my commentary about my idea of that series where we build adventure maps for each other so hopefully people are gonna like i know you weren’t 100 keen on the idea but i kind of i just want to hear what people

Think because i understand that it would be a lot of kind of building i guess so i don’t know just just let us know whether you would like us to to kind of give it a go or not and uh we’re going to do a test one on the

Magic animal then that’s pretty much what my adventure maps will be stamps but i i think if working like actually having time to plan it and actually being building something good i think we can make something fun certainly more fun than than these were anyway these were two adventure maps both

Castle themed but you need to pick between them and vote in the normal way to let us know uh which one you preferred yeah so you can do that in two ways you can click on the top right of the screen to build a little eye
