Last episode, we made some epic progress here in this new survival world building up basic infrastructure, building ourselves a starter hut, and connecting up both sides of the gorge, here at my base and so much more. And so today we kick things off by journeying to the End For the very first time, followed by beginning an epic new community super smelter factory build. And then finally to create possibly the worst slime farm you’ll ever see. I spent a lot of time on this new smelting factory design, so I’m super excited to show off to you, So make sure you stick around the episode to check that out. Jumping straight back in. We joined all the other seven members for some pre-Ender Dragon fight shenanigans. It immediately ends in total chaos with the unintentional death of Godot But once we finally actually got going on, our adventure, it immediately Became clear that Wolf had built up possibly the most precarious and dangerous route through the treacherous Nether to the portal leading to the end stronghold. So naturally, it was great fun and led to a lot of laughs. It seems incredible to me that none of us actually died during this expedition. Once we finally made it through into the stronghold. Wolf allowed me the honor placing in the final eye of ender to allow us to pass on into the end. Once there, we kicked off this rite of passage and started jousting with the end dragon. And after a few minutes Of battling and numerous deaths, we found ourselves finally victorious. And Alex, having taken the killing shot. Alex then claimed his reward of the first Elytra on the server and myself and Wolf then tried and failed, challenging him for it ourselves. Once we finished up in the end, I decided it was high time To finally head back to my base and then start planning for my first build of the episode. I have this really big area that’s just between these two mountain peaks that lays above this little strip of land winding its way down to my base, so I thought that I would design And build something a bit more fun and derpy to loom over from above and act as something of a waypoint and a show of strength. So the let’s get building. And there we go. I told you would be derpy And I even asked you in a poll what you thought. And 50% of you said that “Yes, it was derpy”. So there you have it. But I am actually pretty chuffed as it was fun to make and definitely less serious of my usual builds. So let me know down in the comments what you think now that it’s actually built. And with that out of the way, I then moved on and got to work preparing to construct a slime farm since I was going to be needing a lot of slime very soon for a future project. Rather conveniently, I had discovered that I actually had a slim chunk right beneath my base. So with that knowledge in mind and with some help from Alex, we got to work and dug out the slime chunk in no time. And for this farm, I very much winged it. Having watched no tutorials beforehand, I just went by some very rough knowledge and started constructing in some spawn platforms. Iron Golem posts to lure in the Slimes. And then finally, I made a small magma block platform at the bottom and started building a really simple collection system. However, it was as I was just finishing to make the mine cart unloader circuit and feeling all very good about myself That the horrible realization hit me. I had, in my infinite wisdom, decided to build this farm in a chunk right by a mountain filled with probably the most mob spawnable spaces you’ll ever find. This meant that the rates of my farm were beyond awful, and I had no choice but to battle mobs And start lighting up as many caves and tunnels as I could find. But after several hours of lighting up numerous caves and tunnels, the farm was still only marginally better. So overall, pretty pants. This slime farm is a bust for now. And with this slime farm being an almost total failure, I found myself feeling a little bit disheartened and frustrated. I had poured hours into building and digging out this farm with very much little to show for it. So instead, I took the hard decision that enough was enough and turned my attention to solving another problem on the server, And that his our furnace capacity. Since the start the server I’ve been using these same three standalone furnaces, which just will not do since we are very soon going to be needing a lot more capability so that we can start building some bigger builds. And since we’re playing on a multiplayer server, I decided instead of just building this to myself that I would make this a communal super smelter and open it up to the whole server so that it would meet not only my own smelting requirements, but also help out all the other players. Super smelters thankfully are actually pretty easy to construct And there are a ton of great designs out there by some more talented players. But again, I actually decided that I wanted to for the absolute fun of it, to design and build my very own design. That is just a little bit janky, but it actually does work. So I use some basic knowledge of some redstone circuits to wait for a mine carts to fill up with enough items before allowing them to run along two sets of tracks fueling and filling all the furnaces with the items. I then added in some redstone lamps to show when smelted items Are passing through the system to give people a bit of an indication. And we’ve all the actual core redstone aspects fully completed. All that was left me to do was to start collecting and crafting up a whole bunch of items ready for me to build of a factory design That I’ve been working on for quite some time to house the super smelter and to make this whole area more interesting to visit by all the other players. I’ll be working really hard to try and improve my building skills and attempt to add more depth into my builds, So please let me know down below what you think of this factory. And if it’s a design style that you’d like to see more of. But with that, enjoy the time lapse. And it’s done. And after the fiasco earlier, with the slime farm, I’m now feeling quite a bit better. I’m definitely feeling pretty chuffed with how this factory has turned out. And with the build itself now complete, it was time to start transforming the surrounding area. And with the factory currently floating off the ground, it really just won’t do. So I started adding in the stair design and then went to work Building in a supporting wall to support the overall build. I thought that by adding this in with a mixture of the bricks and granite, it would add in a nice contrasting colour and then complement the overall build esthetic. As you saw in this short time lapse, I did actually initially try out Something that just didn’t look quite right. So I tore down my first attempt and then tried again. This time around, I’m happy with the result of the wall. Next up, I needed to fill in this small area next to the factory that was still looking a bit of a mess. I wasn’t really too sure what to do at first, so I started with a very small bit of terraforming to join in this section and with the surrounding area. And with that now filled in, I think that did the trick. Now, There’s anything I’ve learned from watching All of Keralis’ videos is that leaves and bushes go a long way. So my final addition to this landscape is to build in some custom pine trees that I recently designed. And I have to say I’m pretty happy with how they’ve come out. I think with them now built, I’m Finally happy to call this whole build complete. As Mumbo would say, I am chuffed to bits. There is nothing more satisfying in Minecraft than completing a build that you are particularly proud of and walking through it. I’ve tried to make this whole smelter as automated and as simple to use as possible, So I added in three sets of chests for the input and output of items and then a final set for bonemeal to kick the little micro bamboo farm into life that fuels up all the furnaces. I think that next episode I’m going to be keeping very much still in the theme Of leveling up my infrastructure so that it becomes easier than ever to start expanding and populating the base. I’m currently feeling very inspired and I have a whole lot of ideas that I can’t wait to explore and build later on. But for now, I think that really is all that We have time for. So with that in mind, I really hope you enjoyed this video. And if you did then make sure to hit that like and subscribe button. But until next time, I will see you later. Bye bye Video Information
