RambleCraft Minecraft 1.16.4 Survival Multiplayer [SMP] – S1E13: Bro Island Revival

Hello everybody this is hocus and welcome back to another episode on the fabulous ramblecraft server today we are kicking off episode 13. unlucky for some but not for me guys not for me i do not i do not uh i don’t get involved in superstition so today we’re going to get some more

Awesome stuff done here in the uh the the uh oh i just i just ruined it i was gonna showcase that uh that build in just a moment anyway we’ll do it properly we’ll do it properly but like i was about to say we are going to get some

Awesome stuff done again here on the server today but before we do that i completely forgot about something last episode when we were building the snowman behind us so remember we were carpeting the top of all of the blocks that were exposed to uh spawn areas so that we could actually prevent that

From happening i completely forgot to do a few so the ones that i missed are the arms here so we’ll get those done oh hello there we will get some on this arm to prevent spawns we’ll run around the other side and we’ll also do the same over here

Let’s get rid of the snow first of all and finally right there and that should good jump that should make everything perfectly safe on the snow golem prevent any spawning because i don’t know if i mentioned this in the last episode i think i may have but i don’t want people using this

And then having a creeper or something like do come all the way down and blow up and destroy not only them but this build as well so that’s the reasoning behind that and here is a proper look at beastly’s gingerbread man what do you guys think uh-huh good build right good bill

Beasley is done again an amazing job here adding to the village so we’ve got ourselves a snow golem um like this this guy is huge right i thought the snow golem was big this thing is monstrous but he’s got the candy cane i love that that’s really nice and uh

I was i was you know this is really weird but i was analyzing how beastly he’s been able to put the diagonal lines in and he did a fantastic job of that i’m telling you guys now things like this aren’t easy especially in minecraft where everything’s so blocky and

You’re very limited when it comes to block placement but he’s done a superb job look at this it looks awesome looks very consistent even on the curve at the top that’s the hardest part right there that is the hardest part but he’s mastered it it’s it’s amazing and then it’s got this awesome

Cute smiley face as well oh and over here we’ve got something else now i can see what this is immediately so we’ve got the reindeers we got is it is this a tail or is this something else i don’t want to think about it we got a we got an

Eye here antlers a nose we’ve got uh what’s this maybe like a i think this is a saddle i did watch the video that chase made i believe he said this was a saddle oh okay i thought that was his sign but no we’ve seen that sign and then we’ve

Continue on the next page the reward could be anything from a diamond to rotten flesh guess you’ll just have to see what is in between oh and there is a chance to get a diamond block so get collecting okay so this seems like a little bit of a uh a scam

No i’m just kidding this is a fun game let us go grab some either sander gravel i don’t know if i have any of either to be honest wish me luck guys because i could do with some diamonds right now so i’ve put two stacks in i don’t did it say one stack

At a time i can’t even remember i hope it can take two at a time we will soon find out i guess oh it did the thing did you hear that run flash hey what i i knew this was a scam hang on hang on hang on i i didn’t get

My second item whoa whoa whoa who made this i knew it was a scam i knew it well you know what i i guess i did put two stacks in at a time but also in my defense i’m pretty sure there wasn’t well actually i guess it does say must

Really get what i was looking for there but uh that’s okay i hope i’ve made some profits from the shops because if i’m right in thinking end of our may be selling rockets now and i i’m looking for some i think i might be right in believing

That end of our has actually changed the name of his store now i can’t remember ever being called end of ours emporium but he is in fact selling rockets just like i expected one diamond for one snack okay i’ll definitely do that and these three diamonds here are also from me

I will put that clip in in just a moment one two three four five six but to preface it we are meeting up with comistic cam um he’s the guy that built those houses in the winter village we’re gonna just donate some items to him because he’s

Only recently joined the server he was actually supposed to be here from the start but he’s only just been able to because of time constraints and other things in his life so we’re gonna introduce him to the server in style yeah you’re running the wrong way am i oh hello hi

Yeah i meant i meant that old house oh okay there’s there’s a lot of old houses around here right yeah yeah yeah forgive me yeah my butt all right so uh for everybody doesn’t know cam he’s just joined the server he was here from the start but didn’t get on until recently so

I’ve agreed to uh hook him up today yeah yeah it’s gonna it’s gonna be good for him so we’ll kick you off with the 15 diamonds that’s gonna be for your elytra let’s actually go check the shop quickly just to make sure that is the price

Because otherwise i can uh try and give you more i think it’s this way i think it’s here in dev shop the rocket one the rocky one yep i just hope they’ve got electrics left i mean me too this was this was a waste of a journey

Not not that it takes much like no we can we can find some if they don’t have them but uh yeah go check a lighters oh it’s ten diamonds ten all right well you keep the extra five that’s fine my guy thank you because i i did get you three stacks of rockets

And there’s your books but obviously you can you can buy rockets with the five diamonds you can buy whatever you like it’s up to you oh my god now i need an anvil see this is the thing i don’t know where anything is oh wait i think

I might have one over here uh yep right here oh no oh don’t worry i’ve been on for about two minutes and i’ve destroyed right i make you a generous donation and the way you repay me is to destroy my crops mending oh i feel like a superman

Now yes i can fly oh there we go yeah see give it about five minutes and i’m probably gonna die well you know you live and you learn i was on with chase the other day you know just showing him around there christmas village a little bit

Yeah he gives me a spare lighter just for that little bit just to get around and i die with it on i was like i’ll say sorry matt i think he got it back that i think he did get it back which is good yeah yeah that’s all that matters

Ah yes that was awesome to uh talk to cam for the first time he’s a great guy and he’s going to be an awesome addition to the server so like i keep saying down in the description below will be links to all of the other ramblers

Channels you should go check them out if you if you’re interested at all but today that’s right guys today we’re going to be paying some attention and giving some tender loving care to the community commune alti the community the bro island whatever we’re calling it the island that belongs to

Myself and to chase i don’t know if chase lives here anymore actually i think he’s moved to the jungle but i’m still gonna i’m still gonna beautify it and i’m gonna give him some uh some access to it so that he can benefit also but what we’re gonna plan to do is whoa

Whoa whoa whoa okay there we go i always have trouble with that mouse button it’s really starting to frustrate me i definitely should buy a new mouse at some point but like i was saying what we’re going to do is we’re going to just do a general cleanup so

I’m going to try and keep the farms that we have here intact so we’ll have a little farm down there somewhere i’ve got a cool idea for this we’re going to have a cocoa bean farm somewhere again i i don’t have a cool idea for this but i’ll think of one

I’m gonna change the portal slightly probably just uh give it a better location and make it look a bit different we’ll try to have a bamboo farm in here somewhere as well trees i don’t know maybe the tree farm will have to go because it’s kind of condensed

Um and doesn’t really it takes up too much space right we’ll have a little storage area and our enchanting station will also remain but again chase no offense but i’m probably going to be tearing some of this stuff down that you’ve built and just making it a little bit more

Seamless with the rest the island and then finally obviously we have the mine which i haven’t used in an extremely long time but we will remain it will remain and we’ll give access to it somewhere here so let me get started i think first of all

I’m gonna tear out the farm here and build rebuild that because i have the uh have plans for this already so give me just a moment all right first step is done the original farm is gone i’ve also destroyed some of the stairs and i will repair this part of the island eventually

Um just based on what we decide to build here but we’re going to start in this corner and bring it out a few blocks i think this is a good place to start and then our very first block which i think might create some intrigue here is

Going to be a campfire and that’s going to go right here and we’ll put it out because we actually just want this texture not the burning texture just the campfire texture itself and we are actually gonna use these campfires to build most of this ouch hey stop burning me out you go

And then on the inside of this is going to be where we actually plant the crops so i think we want to come like this all right looks good get rid of these blocks here and now i need to decide how much space i want to

Give for each crop so i’m thinking maybe we do like 10 10 of each crop so that’ll be two four six eight and ten not there more campfires we’ve got our basic shape and now you can see what i’m going for this is going to be like a little barge that kind of

Floats off the side of the island with the crops on um i saw again this is something i got inspiration from reddit on i saw a little post and i decided i want to recreate it but in this fashion with a little farm attached so now it’s time to add some detail and

What i’m gonna do first of all is i think we’re going to expand this somewhere slightly so we’ll take these middle four here and clear them off the side of the barge we are going to expand a couple campfires we’ll have one here that goes like this and then one here that’s

Facing i guess the same way that’ll work put them both out all right and then we’ll have a couple barrels and then we’ll have another one on top that faces maybe forwards yeah that’s good that’s good all right so we’ve got a little bit of variation in the barrel

Layout which is always nice and then we can come back in with some more trapped doors so i’ll just get some across the back here flip them up like so unfortunately that means we won’t be able to have any here but uh i can i can live with that small minor uh

Detail missing there so now we’ve got some storage that’s where we can place our seeds and other useful things so i’ve got a little hoe here as well we can probably put that in the chest once it’s done but obviously this will be used to to sow the seeds we’ve got some wheat

Going in here some potatoes on the far side and then in the middle we will have some pumpkin seeds unfortunately i’ve only got two at the moment so we’ll just kind of have them in a diagonal pattern so that they can grow into the spaces here and there

And that should about do it for the crops now more detail i think that’ll do the trick guys i’m pretty pleased with what we got here so i’ve added some lighting in both corners and you know i was actually thinking about maybe putting some carpeting over the top of those but uh

We’ll leave that for now maybe that will work the way it is and then you can also see i’ve mixed up the boundaries a little bit the barriers that go around the outside of the barge so i’ve added in some spruce signs some oak trap doors just to mix up the

Textures and then finally i’ve replaced a few of the campfires with that spruce half slabs again just to mix up textures i don’t want everything to be the same and always always makes a big difference when you do things like this just add in a few other textures here and there

And now what i’m going to do is pop our hoe into the barrel we’re going to pop the wheat the seeds the potatoes and the pumpkins so that if i need any of that stuff i can grab it out of there and we can just begin planting

You know i don’t see us using this farm that often if at all but i think it’s cool just to keep it there it’s kind of a memory of the past right of the early stages of the server where things were tough and we had to make little

Farms like that to get by but all in all i’m pretty happy the only thing that maybe we can think about in uh down the line is adding a way to access it easily because what i’m gonna do now is tear out the staircase and attempt to

Fix the island here i’m just gonna try and terraform it back to its old self we’ll begin by maybe replacing these two blocks that would probably be a good place to start because we don’t want any cobblestone to show and then i guess it’s kind of easy when you’re

Repairing you just come down a block from where the uh the ledges and then start building and if you do that it kind of looks natural and you can almost see here wherever the stone is visible is where there should be dirt so i can kind of

Just use that as a guideline as well which makes things a lot more simple there’s something that just doesn’t look quite right about this but as i say once the grass grows we’ll get a better idea so i’m going to wait for now and then that leads into the next task

Which will be to clear up all of the trees on the island wow that process has left the island looking very dull and very sad unfortunately now the grass is growing back that definitely looks better maybe could still do with some work but i’ll see about uh whether or not

It makes a difference at the end you know we are left however with one lonely chicken and because i miss my good friend chase he’s not around often like i say i think he lives in the jungle now this is the new chaster so uh you know

If i ever need someone to talk to this guy is right here and uh i’ll keep him safe because i miss chase and i i want him to come back i miss him ugh keep it together hocus come on don’t cry don’t cry all right so uh let’s think about now extending our

Pathway because the portal if you remember was right there i’m going to keep it in the same location but i kind of want to create a template path that leads over here so it’ll go something like this and then i think just lead straight up to the portal

Which will be somewhere around here so without further ado let’s get a little portal designing on the go so far i’m pretty happy i would say i don’t know what you guys think um ignore the corners right i’m gonna hopefully get some obsidian to patch those up because everybody knows you should fill

The corners in right you shouldn’t be lazy but chaster is he’s loving it hey chase what do you think about the portal you like it awesome man i’m glad you like it because you’re gonna be here for a while so uh hopefully you can continue to like it otherwise

You might get bored who knows let’s hope that isn’t the case anyway uh we’re gonna go for a little extra detail here so let’s try and build some of it together on camera all right so i kind of want a secondary archway running over the top here so i

Think we’ll build it at about this level here that should do the trick on the inside of the arch i’m gonna have some fences so i think i’m gonna put those down first so that we can kind of see where we need to go next with the build

So i have a couple here and then the next ones will be up and in by a block so they’ll come across the center like so not that far though we need to actually get rid of this one all right so that gives us the sort of

Outline of the archway which is a good place to start i think we’ll go with some stairs again um i quite like the way that looked the first time around oh i’m not gonna be able to get up here i might darn it this is the tricky part

About building in situations like this you just have no way to move around i think we’ll replace this one though and go with some mossy right there and that gives us something looking like this i actually think i need to extend the width of this archway a little bit

More because i want it to be wider than the lower one just so that it stands out slightly that’s a very simple fix we can just go stair here and then we’ll do something similar on the other side so we’ll just pop a stair there that will bring it out

By that extra block that i’m looking for and then i’m thinking to cap the arch off or just again use slab so we’ll maybe go like this uh like that possibly how is that gonna look let’s see all right yeah that that might be okay

I think i’ve gone a little bit too tall though haven’t i on the arch that’s okay i’ll figure this out i’m just gonna extend this backwards a little bit all right archway is complete and i think aside from a few small minor additions maybe some carpeting just to stop spawns wherever possible

This is probably gonna be about it now the back does look super ugly still i’ll show you that but uh again maybe this is something we’ll focus on on another day i think it’s more important just to get the front done yep back is looking disgusting that’s okay though like i say

So let’s light her up and see the finished product with the porto lay all right yeah yeah this definitely works this definitely does work now i think to cap this all off and to finish up for today’s episode what i want to do is i want to finish up this pathway so

We’ll add a little bit of extra path and detail and uh that kind of thing and then what i want to do is just add some foliage around the portal to give it that extra again it’s just more detail right it’s just extra detail so i think we can begin that together here

I’m actually going to start us off with a little bit of bamboo now we’ll go with i don’t know maybe like a triple threat here we’ll get one in here and then maybe like a couple around the back there i kind of want to control the growth of these though so maybe again

Carpeting would be a good idea just to stop them from going too tall because or you know what is there another way i’m trying to think there’s another way actually you know what uh forget the carpet we’ll just let these bamboo grow as high as they want to be

Who cares right we’ll just let it grow and uh pathwise we’ve got a little bit extra going on here so i’ve added in some gravel we’ll have slabs there um just a similar design to what we’ve used over our house so it’s a combination of path blocks and

Gravel and then what i wanted to do was get some more fences going because i really like the way the uh random bits of fencing looked in our place over there so again i want to cry recreate that if possible here so maybe let’s get rid of that torch do another

Little strip there maybe one there and we’ll have it just coming up the side here so you know we kind of still need to move a few things around before we finalize everything so let’s not go too crazy but i think something like that will do

A pretty good job for us and then we’ve got our little spruce slab access way i’ve got a spare lantern we’ll stick a lantern right here and maybe get a couple more across the fences so we’ll go with one more here and then we’ll get one maybe there and

Pop final one there for now that looks good yep that’ll light up the way a little bit and then i think another good idea would be to just bone mail the area around the portal here so we’ll give it a little bit of grass a little bit of uh

Natural foliage okay yep this is looking good this all contributes towards making the portal look very very nice indeed so to finish up is there any other details i want to add i’m thinking that maybe we’ll use some leaf blocks in here somewhere as well just to

You know provide a little bit more greenery all right so i’ve got my trusty leaves my trusty cobblestone let’s make a few of those leafy rock things that we have over at our base so they will uh they’ll be something like this that one’s very very

Okay yeah that works okay so there’s one and then maybe let’s get another one going over here somewhere like right here behind the fence would be a nice addition i would say so another one like this all right yep that’ll be good again so

Yep that’s not bad is it and we will add more as we go but uh like i say there’s more there’s more work to put into this island so i don’t want to detail it too greatly because i’ll have to destroy some of it to add what we want to add
