Scyushi – Here’s How Minecraft Dungeons Works – Enchanting Gear, Unique Drops, Biomes & More

What’s up sushi squad we bag again some more minecraft dungeons but today we’re going to be doing something a little bit special so I wanted to let you guys know that I’ve already got quite a bit of some minecraft dungeons videos already recorded for you guys you know we were

Thoroughly addicted to this game despite the fact that it is just a closed beta and there’s only really the same three handful of levels but I wanted to have this video to kind of explain some of the mechanics show off what you can expect to see in the later videos and

Also just I don’t know just take a time take a moment to talk about the game itself because in the multiplayer videos you know we’re kind of just playing so I don’t really get to have this one-on-one connection with you to explain like what’s going on with the game and stuff

And because of that I thought that it would be good for me to take an episode to explain all these mechanics so that as these things start showing up in later episodes that I’ve already recorded prior it’ll actually end up making sense to you guys so essentially the way that this game

Works is there’s going to end up being these artifacts quote-unquote that’s what they call all of your special abilities now at the bottom here you don’t like you’re not actually limited to one artifact type meaning that you can just have like you see Death Cap mushrooms three times over and the

Reason why I have this is because right now I’m rocking a speed melee build where when we pop the mushroom we get attack speed and then we could pop the next mushroom and pop the next mushroom and we can essentially use them on cooldown over and over again which I’ll

Talk about my build in a bit because the way that you actually build your character in this game is very very weird and different than most other games first of all there is the power meter that you can see you know just beside my character and you can see the

Power meter on the bottom right of all of these pieces of equipment now the higher the power on an artifact means usually that it’ll have a slightly longer duration of use for the feathers they have a better bit of a better stun duration for the dogs they

Do a little bit more damage stuff like that where it’s going to be a very very subtle difference in the higher gear power that you get for the artifacts and then there’s going to end up being the bow or ranged weapon in the full game I’m assuming there’s gonna be magic

Stabs cuz we’ve already seen them in the trailer but I don’t know if they’re gonna replace the bow slot or the melee slot time will tell but there’s the bow there’s your armor and then there’s your melee weapon now what I’m actually rocking right here it’s gonna take a

While before you see these in the videos these are unique items so the thing that’s so addicting about this game is that it is straight-up like Diablo and for those of you that don’t know what that game is about essentially the end game is just farming for rare gear but

Here’s the thing what this game does fantastically I might add is constantly has you cycling your gear over so you might find a unique item but it might not last very long because you might already be moving up to higher difficulties so if we opened the main

Like they call this the difficulty right so there’s default and then you beat the game you get to adventure beat the game again you get to apocalypse and it gives various as you can see enemies are harder to defeat and hit hard new enemy enchantments will show up rewards are

Better new gear and artifacts are available so you have to get the way that you get the new artifacts is from being in the higher difficulties that said I’m sure that the full game is going to have more gear than we’ve seen presently and then on top of that when

You pick the level there’s the power multiplier I call it like a difficulty multiplayer so there’s default one two three four five and six all the way up to six for the default difficulty multiplier meaning that we would be able to put it up to difficulty six on adventure and finally difficulty six

Apocalypse which I’m sure is crazy as heck so they do also show kind of behind my FaceCam here artifact drops in gear drops and stuff it doesn’t seem to show every item type I think it’s just showing the category of item depending on the location but my point is that the

Higher the difficulty multiplier the better the gear and artifact power is going to be and that’s where the higher your power the higher the power of the gear can end up being like you can see I’ve got this one at 36 this one’s at 37 and this is where the town comes into

Play because we’ve got the wandering merchants where we can buy artifacts from him over and over but I’ve already seen all the artifacts that the closed beta has to offer so I’m not buying anything else from him presently you might see me buy stuff from him in the coming episodes that were recorded

Before we’re talking about all this and game stuff as far as the beta is concerned and then the blacksmith he’s always going to end up giving you a piece of gear appropriate to your level so as we end up levelling up we will end up gaining more power just in general

And as we end up getting better gear essentially even though the beta itself has a limited tier of gear that you can end up finding out in the world the blacksmith doesn’t seem to have any limitations he can just keep giving you stronger and stronger gear it’s just

Very very rare he can also give uniques as well as you’ll see in future episodes so let’s talk about the build that I’m rocking and let’s talk about enchantments a little bit shall we so as you level up the best way I can put this as you level up you’ll get

Enchantment tokens as represented by this icon right up here and then for each of the pieces of gear in the world you’ll be able to put the enchantment tokens into it to invest their abilities so you can see right here I’ve got ready and shot and I got multi shot so

Originally when I found this bow it actually had two different enchantment slots as you can see later on in the game we’ll be able to get up to three enchantment slots but the point is that each of the enchantment slots has multiple enchantments to choose from but once you’ve chosen one your dedicated

Man you are stuck with it okay and near as I can tell these bows are great by the way because when it has the hits multiple targets that is absolutely overpowered and is a really good crowd control ability that you can end up using to just eliminate enemies oh I

Should also mention you can Salvage gear as well but so long as you don’t move to the next slot you can actually undo your salvaging so anyways I’ve got ready in shot which has a 20% chance to heal spawn a healing aura now this already has huge ramifications for this game

Because it means that essentially where I’m shooting if I’m an archer build is going to end up having a chance of healing and thus we are being a support class we’re healing our teammates that are tanking the damage like if there’s a melee fighter in the middle of the

Enemies where our arrows land is going to end up putting a healing aura that can end up healing them out which is awesome and then I have multi shot which has a chance of firing five arrows out of time and then this is where the movement build comes into play is with

This armor right here so I’ve got speed synergy so when activating any artifact you gain twenty percent movement speed for a short time since I can use my death Cap mushrooms on cooldown one after another we can pretty much have this 20% movement speed buff all the

Time but then we also have swift-footed which is in the same league oould ability that lets us roll and for the entire duration normally when you roll your slowed for the full three seconds cooldown but now we actually get a 50% movement speed bonus so we can literally

Just spam roll as you’ll see me going in the dungeon and stuff like that and then for the weapons themselves they’ve got weakening so it’s going to reduce damage of enemies by 40% for five seconds and it stacks so I just keep attacking like everything around me and it makes me

Essentially very tanky just because the enemies aren’t doing much damage and then leeching which is another very rare enchantment at least in the closed beta that ends up being very very good and very powerful so this the unique bonus of this bow you can see is not only hits

Multiple targets but the spawns poisonous clouds and then for the armor we’ve got a third chance 30% chance to negate damage 20% weapon damage boost aura health potions heal nearby allies these two perks as far as I know are on the wolf armor because each of the different

Types of armor complements a certain play style and that’s what I love about this game and what’s so addictive about is I can’t wait to see what builds people end up coming up with because this is just as in-depth as a game like Diablo 3 where you can you can really

Mess with how you want to play your character and the end game is not only going to be about finding uniques but finding uniques that generate with the enchantment you want so the end game can be really really dragged out in the funnest way possible and then for the

Last laugh melee weapon mobs drop more emeralds and dual wielding is just kind of the perk that it always says with these anyways let’s do creeper wood shall we on the highest difficulty I know that was a long bloated explanation but I wanted to get all that stuff out

Of the way so that you guys understand what’s going on when this game ends up releasing May 26 you can pre-order it it’s going to be for everything so it’s Nintendo switch Xbox born ps4 and PC mirrors I can tell there was a post where they said that the game is going

To end up being cross place so Bukka hold onto your butts cuz that’s just can’t I was gonna say buck a lot but I mean look at this we’re in difficulty 6 and it’s hey it’s no problem man so you’ll have all sorts of different buffs

That you can end up getting like for your gear and enchantments and stuff like that often you might hear us refer to them as perks in the videos so just keep that in mind so there’s a piece of gear not really anything special I’m a little bit out of the swing of things

Just because I haven’t played for a couple days honestly speaking guys because now that we’re already at the end like we’ve essentially beaten the game at this point but especially like I love that there’s a moment’s rebuild because as you guys know from my trove videos that’s one of the big reasons why

I’m still playing that game for so long is because there is movement speed like movement speed and attack speed being an attribute that you can alter in a game already is just something that I sincerely adore and love you know like the fact that this game actually has

That is awesome so now we’re dealing with arranged enemies and stuff and then the full game as well you know there’s there’s all sorts of things that you can have to deal with the ranged enemies the majors will be able to put down a bubble shield that will essentially slow down

The arrows of enemies and stuff but you can also end up having an enchantment on your gear as well that will end up making projectiles maybe they have a chance of not doing any damage to you and I’ll show you a quick example as well right here this is how the dungeons

Work in this game so while they’re going to end up being random generated there’s a couple areas that are going to always generate the same and this is one of them I’m guessing the random generation is going to be a lot different in the full game rather than the beta because

They’ve probably wanted to keep the file size down or something but as we end up exploring the side paths and stuff that aren’t related to the main quest area you’ll have a chance of getting loot so up here for example that chest that just spawned there is an

RNG chance of whether the chest is going to be there I mean that one generally seems to be there most of the time it’s a hidden chest so that sometimes they’re invisible sometimes they’re already just in a set location but the point is that sometimes they’re sometimes they’re not

So it pays to end up exploring and checking out the other areas even if you you know rather than just rushing the main objective I should say because what this game is about is not only as the combat extremely satisfying and fun but most of all it’s about chess farming so

You’re just farming for chess you’re farming four elite mods and stuff like that all for the chance that you can end up getting that next piece of gear and ultimately hoping that you’ll end up getting you know your hands on bad creeper getting your hands on some uniques because again that seems like

It’s going to end up being what the end game is which I love creepers are like so deadly in this game too if you don’t know what you’re doing and I mean it’s so like it’s just so fun dude like I highly recommend this game not to mention guys this game is

Literally like it’s so cheap considering the amount of content that I already know is going to happen with this game like there there’s easily going to be like 10 20 hours especially if you’re playing with friends and further than that if you want to keep going for

Uniques and junk like that but for me like I’m probably gonna play this game for a very long time hopefully when it ends up coming out and the point is that this game is 20 bucks dude on top of that you can buy it the Heroes Edition

And it’s only like 10 bucks more and we’ll give you two DLC packs that are going to end up coming with the game now another thing too that I wanna mention is on the world map I’ll try to remember to show you guys this once once I’ve ended up completing this objective I

Don’t necessarily need I’ll be fighting like all these enemies look at that speed boost Jesus and if we use the bow as well this is what I mean about this bow being like a crowd clearer the bow is a little bit slower as you can see but it’s really really good for managing

Like the whole groups of enemies just because of the fact that it’s like got reflective shot and you know deals with all of the enemies in jungle so we can go in some houses but most of them don’t really matter the only reason I’m kind of skipping through all this is because

You’ll get to see us going through these dungeons plenty of times and I just want to rush the pig because there is an odd chance that he can end up dropping some gear yeah here and the full game – this can’t be like Enderman and stuff like that

There’s all sorts of like crazy enemies that you could have expected and some that will be unexpected within the Minecraft universe including a lot of new enemies as well that aren’t any minecraft not to mention the way that they all complement each other so certain enemies will end up you know

Just being like the Warriors and whereas others will be majors that buck them etc etc and I just I really enjoy it I also enjoy the fact that we can kind of optimize our pathing so it’s just again all about that all about that speed that’s what it’s all about for me in

Games and why I find just video games fun is when you can end up speeding up and optimizing your route and everything like that’s that’s when it’s like the funnest for me I try okay yeah we don’t have invulnerability frames when we roll unfortunately which is one thing that I

Actually don’t like so much about this game so these are gambia leap mobs we got lucky and generated them as sheep which means that they literally won’t do anything but sometimes they can drop here they don’t always and it’s hilarious though they can end up dropping on passive mobs as well by the

Way like just man alive you can’t always just rush to the end so the quest can be done like in two seconds if you end up going through it quick enough oh god oh and then once you end up completing the objective you’ll end up getting a new

Artifact out of the box none not always like a new type but that seems to be all you can get out of these chests and it’s just booster swiftness so what then we can end up salvaging all of these to end up getting our emeralds up and emeralds are strictly used on

These shops in the full game based on the looks of the HUD here it seems like we’ll slowly unlock more shops and more things to interact with as we complete the quest and look at that we actually got a unique bow from him right then and there so that’s pretty cool excuse me

And then as I said the enchantments are going to end up random on the piece of gear so maybe it didn’t end up generating with the stats that we won on or anything but I don’t necessarily need that so who cares let’s just go for it obviously I’ve been

Trying to kind of collect all the different uniques but I’m not really like harboring them all I’ve just got screenshots of most of them cuz that’s the little thing too is you can go ahead and collect them if you want a couple of nitpicking things that

I would hope to see in the full game is being able to select multiple items to salvage at one time instead of salvaging them one at a time and then also I would love to be able to have a shopkeeper which more than likely again will be in

The full game where I can remove enchantment tokens from the gear because as of right now on the closed beta in order for me to get these enchantment tokens back out of this bow I have to solve legit which is not really the best decision sometimes because maybe I just

Want to experiment with a new weapon type or something rather than just destroy it so you kind of got to be careful in that regard if you’re trying to save everything but honestly I think that the game does a really good job of trying to get you out of the mindset of

Being a collector and a hoarder and instead just delete the item move on you’ll find something better so last but not least if we take a look at the map we can actually see all the different levels available in the full game which obviously some of them are going to end

Up having secret locations cuz I didn’t even notice until I played back the footage of I think it was actually the last episode maybe but we went into creeper woods we found a tomb and then we found a map that ended up actually unlocking the creepy crypt meaning that

While this swamp area right here the swamp biome is its own biome there might be another location right here that is a secret location will unlock within the swamp so bear that in mind but anyways the tutorial area which we can’t revisit which kind of sucks I wish we could and

Then the pumpkin patch which is an autumn biome here’s the hills up here you can actually see there’s an amazing mine card so it means mines there’s probably a secret level up here most definitely maybe even up here on the mountains or something then we’ve got

Like icy fire zone you know a desert biome and then the this place like I don’t think that this is end themed maybe it is maybe I’m wrong about that but I think it’s most of all just a build because the point that I’m trying to get at is they’ve

Already said how there’s gonna be two DLCs coming with this game and if you pre end up buying the heroic version of the game you’ll end up getting those two DLCs right and if you notice on the map there’s no nether and there’s no end so I’m guessing that those are probably

Going to end up being the two DLCs unless they surprise us with some more stuff that shows up but there’s also a big chunk of the map right here which tells me that that’s probably safe for DLC and as of right now we’ve got like the little village or guy or illage or

Pillage or whatever it’s like that weird baby guy that you’ll see throughout the game he shows up as the last boss meaning that if they have the end as the final DLC you know like the nether maybe we could fight a ghast as a boss and

Your friends just drop in drop out at any time you can drop into the game grab some loot then you drop out you don’t have to complete the quest in order to end up getting all the items or anything the ease-of-use is what I love so much

Honestly speaking all you’re really gaining from this game is just leveling up so they get more enchantment slots and I have no idea what the max level is I’m hoping and seeing that it’s probably going to end up being over a hundred I hope it’s infinite honestly speaking cuz that’d be awesome
